Reviews of Cactus Coffee

What a good find this place was!! It's quite small so there's not too many seats inside but it's lovely and cosy.
The hot chocolate was divine, definitely much better than chain cafes, the chocolate was so yummy. I had the peanut butter & jam brioche french toast and it was AMAZING. My friend really enjoyed her Spudnik sandwich too.
Truly gutted we're not locals, we'd be in here all the time. Will 1000000% be back here when we're next in Edinburgh!

Stumbled across this cafe while hunting for breakfast, nice and friendly staff, the cafe is small but don’t let that put you off. The black coffee I got was lovely and strong, nice way to start the day. Breakfast was some really nice black pudding, bacon, sausage, egg, homemade beans and toast.
Not cheap cheap but it is Edinburgh.

Relaxed café with a calm atmosphere and lovely staff, a bit of a hidden gem being tucked away but so close to Waverley. Iced tea and Eton mess French toast were both delicious, and we loved the cactus glasses! Seems to have food vegetarian and vegan options, and also dog friendly. Already looking forward to coming back to try more!

FOOD, COFFEE, ATMOSPHERE: AMAZING! High quality ingredients had to be used because the food was out of this world ! Best cappuccino spot I found in my 1 month of being in Scotland so far!

Friendly staff and a silent atmosphere. The good thing is that it is not crowded within the city centre. The latte machiatto was good too. The menu card is simple and you have WiFi too. The coffee was also delicious. I will come again

Lovely little cafe just next to the Scotland national archive centre. Not far from the train station. Very tasty breakfast for such an affordable price.

What can I say? Close enough to the station that you won't miss your train and far enough away from the main road to be a little haven of quiet. The coffee is fantastic and very reasonably priced for the city, with dairy free alternatives available. Food is freshly made and delicious with service that's top of the line. A must try for day trippers, weekenders, fringe festival goers and residents alike!

Great little place off the main street. We really enjoyed our breakfast rolls. Go there! Support independent coffee shops!

Good quality Coffee with plant based milks. A relatively small menu but plenty if choice, even some solid vegan options.
Super friendly staff and a great atmosphere, worth a visit.

Shocked that this is a new cafe as it is so well run with a varied menu.
Would recommend to anyone for a coffee and nibble!

The coffee is lovely, gluten free options available. The bacon was really undercooked for me and as it was streaky bacon, full of stringy fat. I would reccomend, just not the bacon so lightly cooked

Vegan haggis here too. More expensive than the breakfast meal next door.

Very nice bagel with cheese and Mediterranean veg plus salad. Prefer putting my own dressing on salad but that's a personal preference

It's not often you get wows from everyone on the table, but we all had them today. Very tasty breakfasts.

Stumbled across this lovely little cafe and decided to give it a try. The coffee and Chai lattes were incredible (best we’ve had in the city so far) and the food was amazing. Fresh ingredients made to order, and the staff are lovely. Can’t ask for anything more. 10/10.
