A great cafe with delicious goodies.
You can also purchase re-fills of goods and plenty of art.
A wonderful gem which also celebrates and promotes diversity

Small place, bit Good selection, prices, and super kind staff. Also they have refills available for detergents and body care, along with a variety of packaged teas and soaps that are vegan.

Delicious pastries and coffee with a friendly owner :) stopped here for breakfast on our way out of Edinburgh and weren't disappointed

Lovely wee cafe. It's very LGBTQ+ friendly but I think anything would feel comfortable there.
The tea, smoothies and wraps are really tasty and reasonably priced.
They do lots of fun things like craft markets and cabarets

The staff are always so friendly here and so far I've only popped in to buy some goods from their bakery, but they have consistently been amazing. Yesterday I got a (huge!) focaccia slice, which I intended to save for later but it looked so damn delicious I ended up finishing the whole thing there and then, my flatmate was amazed and terrified but it was just too good to stop. The almond croissants are also fab, and not oversweet.
Wish I could give this place more stars.

I can’t believe this is my local and I haven’t visited for the past 1.5 years... I blame covid.
They have very good and healthy food (I tried the veg curry with couscous) and for the quality, very cheap as well! I loved the cosy homely atmosphere too but unfortunately had to have a takeaway this time. Definitely my go-to spot from now on for lunches.

Such a little gem, super welcoming and lovely staff make you feel right at home. More than just a cafe sells so many nice things, bread pastries , eco products art and more would be a great place to get some gifts or just have a nice cuppa and some food.

They have really good bread and tasty soups. Frequently get lunch from there and they have 50% off on their bakery stuff near closing time. 100% recommend

One of the best wee bakeries in Edinburgh! Wonderful selection of pastries and all types of bread and rolls, fresh every day but get there quick! There's also a huge selection of specialty chocolate and tea. Also a great spot for local handmade jewellery and other crafts/art!

Brilliant espresso! Paired it with a fresh, flaky apricot pastry for a perfect breakfast. Service was gracious and kind. I would have purchased a gorgeous loaf of bread but I was travelling. Next time, for sure. Prioritise a visit here.

Delicious pastry 😋 and very lovely staff ☺️ During the lockdown, you can order over the phone and pick it up at the shop, but they also offer deliveries if you live nearby and are self-isolating/vulnerable.

Such a nice place! 🏳️🌈🏳️🌈

Fantastic bakery, a real hidden treat. Purveyors of one of the finest sour dough loaf's I've had in Edinburgh (only rivalled by the sour dough at Valvona and Crolla - that's some great bread, right there) and an ever-rotating array of sweet treats, from damp squidgy cupcakes with heart-stopping quantities of icing, to crumbly, delicious chocolate and walnut cookies. There's even a "healthier" selection of cupcakes if you're trying to exercise something approaching restraint, featuring less sugar and butter and more fruit (but, ultimately, its still a cupcake - this is hardly a diet aid).
Situated away from the main drag of Bruntsfield Place, Dough Re Mi is a little out of the way on Gilmore Place, but that shouldn't dissuade you - this is an excellent stop for all manner of baked goods.

Great service and amazing pastry and grocery selection!!!
