We stopped here for a hot chocolate and coffee. The hot chocolate was delicious and I was also surprised to find the coffee to be the best I tried in Edinburgh. Would highly recommend for a coffee and snack if you’re at Portobello beach. The owners were really nice as well, and offer cushion seats to borrow if you want a comfier seat while you enjoy your coffee nearby.

Good hot chocolate, and nice touch offering guests little cushions to sit on nearby. We were a bit disappointed when the ham and cheese croissants were given to us cold.. we'd both expected the warm melted variety... but it was busy so we kept our mouths shut so as not to have people in the queue waitin longer.. Shame.. never tastes as good that way...

We remember them vividly from our trip years ago 2015… We just stumbled upon them walking by the seaside… As foreigners we were surprised by how good coffee was compared to other places in UK that we considered unworthy of being called coffee shops … This was The Coffee… Scones were equally good so please do visit now as everything opens up, support local business… Greetings from far away, all the best and who knows maybe we will stumble upon you again…

If you are lucky enough to catch the Little Green Van out on a nice day, I highly recommend you give it a try. The coffee is amazing. I got wild and ordered the Affogato (2 scoops of vanilla ice cream with two shots of espresso poured over top) it was HEAVEN IN A CUP. If you’re looking for a delicious coffee and a tasty treat, you can’t go wrong with this drink. Other than that, they had a lovely array of tasty looking treats, savory rolls, and pre-made paninis. The staff was a man and woman, and they couldn’t have been lovelier. This is the perfect stop if you happen to catch it on your morning stroll :)

The 'cherry on the cake' of the phenomenon that is Portobello promenade. Just the smoothest coffee, the finest cakes and pastries, and an exotic world tour of sausage rolls. Frankly, you'd be mad not to.

The best hot chocolate I've had! I can't have much dairy but I adore hot chocolate and I was so excited that the Little Green Van had a range of dairy free milks as well as a range of hot chocolate variations. I've just finished it and I'm so happy right now! My partner had the veg haggis sausage roll and is in heaven. So yum! This is going to become a regular thing I think, thank you Little Green Van :)
