It's a great church café hidden in the far end of the park near Edinburgh Castle. We were looking for something affordable and tasty and we found this gem. I loved my food and the church atmosphere. It's actual church building and yard which is an attraction in itself, and the view of the park is worth seeing, too.

We discovered this little gem on the 2nd day of our week in Edinburgh and went back twice more as it was so good.
The ambience is lovely in the converted church crypt or croft. The food is delicious and the staff are friendly.
We recommend the cup of home made soup and sourdough roll combo.

Delicious for lunch. Friendly staff and cosy calm sunny terrace beat thé church yard

Loved the sandwiches during an impromptu visit from Glasgow last week to see the Van Gogh interactive experience. I’m on to ask for the recipe for the dressing of the humous ciabatta sandwich - had olives (green and purple), grated carrot, maybe apple . My friend and I are still talking about it and I said I’d ask ! Bravo !

Super spot for lunch or just a tea or coffee. So nice to be able to go to somewhere so central that is not one of the big chains. Thoroughly recommend.

Sat in for brunch on a very rainy day. Dog friendly, and the food was brilliant. Highly recommend the French toast!

An absolute oasis in the centre of Edinburgh. After doing battle on Princes Street and feeling rinsed from the honey traps, we stumbled on this place. Great menu, well priced, excellent value, tasty, cool, calm and clean. Just what we needed.

Cool setting for a cafe! Bright, with a hint of macabre.
