Let's start by saying that I thought the food was really good. I had the Venison burger and it was delicious and tasted like a quality product. I just can't whole heartedly recommended the place though. The staff were really friendly, but I kinda felt like that they were waiting on us leaving so the party could start. I get that it's a bar rather than a restaurant but having fellow patrons signing along with the songs at half six, didn't lead to a relaxing experience.

We really like this place. It's definitely for a younger generation than us and I can imagine it would be jumping in the skiing season. Food is good. Has a young vibe. All the staff are friendly.

Went to Mambos 3 out the 4 nights we stayed in Aviemore. We had tea the first night and just wentfor drinks and a game of pool and darts. The staff were great, food was great, beer was great. Would definitely recommend it. :)

The best coffee in Aviemore by a mile. Great food, great atmosphere, staff are friendly and best of all they allow and welcome dogs! I've attached the menu to this review so you can see what's available. Prices are good considering the location and the food is fantastic quality. If you want to chill out they have the sofas , fancy a game of pool and a beer? You can do that as well. Highly recommended when in the area.

The hot chocolate and the coffee were really good, the chicken burger was nice but while the portions are a decent size the price is steep for the food you get. Wouldn't recommend the chicken loaded fries personally as they didn't agree with me. The lad that served us yesterday was an absolute grafter. Fair play to him.

The staff were very pleasant and served me quickly. The atmosphere was nice and a decent menu, all the burgers were available gluten free which is good. I ordered the Southern chicken burger which was really nice but very messy to eat. Overall it was a good meal and I would go again.

Lovely staff and great food. We came here for lunch and there was a bit of a mix up with the order as it didn't go through. We got an immediate apology and they didn't charge our drinks, so I cannot complain. When the food came, it was well worth the wait. I had the chicken burger and it was an epic construction with bacon, cheese, sweet potato fries and succulent chicken. Definitely recommend. Enjoyed the mambo so much we came back the next day for lunch and the service was great, food arrived promptly and was, again delicious. We will be back next time we are in aviemore.

Good services, v pleasant staff and courteous as well. Hot coffe and lattee was really good but not like milky lattee of Costa. If you have no choices then one of the best place for short break. My kids love place to have coffee break and refreshments.

Travelled up north on a Sunday hoping to get lunch at Dalwhinnie however nothing open. Kept going north and couldn't find anywhere open until Aviemore. Mambo was open and looked basic from outside however service was quick and the meals were great. Recommend the venison burger.

Just popped in for a pint or 5...OOPS. Table service from Faith was great. She never stopped. Also cleaned tables and seats after every customer was finished. Covid measures well adhered too. She is on the ball. Some other places in Aviemore should take heed as they have a lot to learn. We will be back to try the food and more beers...of course!

Great wee find while in aviemore at the start of summer, for a lunchtime pit stop, great food and nice atmosphere! Enjoyed so much we went back at the end of summer for lunch again, again great food and staff were really friendly and genuine! Definitely a new favourite while we're visiting! My birthday treat was a trip to Aviemore and we went for a drink in Cafe Mambo as it looked inviting and had a great pool table and amazing bar staff, didn't catch his name but he was so welcoming and friendly, and when I said it was for my birthday he gave me and my partner a birthday dram and he told me where to visit for a good night out in Aviemore. We have since visited and would definitely return, what a wonderful place!x

I visit Aviemore with my family fairly frequently since we love mountain biking in the area and whenever we stay we always manage a visit to Cafe Mambo. The menu is fairly basic but the food is usually well cooked and not too expensive, the drink is also reasonably priced and they've always got extreme sports videos playing in the background. It's far from fine dining but more than adequate for filling you up after a hard day on the bikes. No doubt we'll be back again the next time we're in the area,
