Reviews of Ocho
B. A.
The build your own brunch was by far one of the best things about Ocho. They give you a wide option list to pick from to really make your favourite meal.
The food was delicious and I would definitely go back for the build your own brunch!
A. K.
Excellent location on a sunny day. Great food choices at reasonable price. Friendly staff.
D. B.
Beautiful brunch and coffee spot.
Right by the canal, and the food is divine.
You can make up your own brunch off the build-your-brunch menu which is excellent.
£25 for two meals and two coffees - lovely!
L. M.
Great brunch spot in great location. I had soup and halloumi sandwich which I found really good. Looking forward to going back so I can pick something else. They also offer build your own brunch which my friend got and looked lovely. Coffee was nice, definitely would recommend and will go back.
j. m.
Great location with an amazing menu. They stock my favourite cakes from Millennial Menu Bakes too so mega bonus
B. F.
Cannot Recommend enough! Incrediblly fresh and inventive food that always leaves you satisfied. The team are amazing and its location is 5 stars too 🌟 located right on the canal, so a stroll along the canal path can be enjoyed! I recommend heading up to the new nature reserve on said path (the claypits), after some delicious food with a takeaway coffee in hand! ☕
L. K.
Had the veggie breakfast, was lovely and well seasoned. Service is friendly and efficient. Parking is not great though
C. M. F.
OPEN FOR DINING IN AS OF 12/10/20! GREAT JOB SOCIAL DISTANCING, WEARING MASKS, AND SANITIZING! This cafe is now on my walking route and I WILL be going back!! Super friendly staff, delicious food and very affordable! Tons of vegan and vegetarian options and even some gluten-free swaps. We had a latte, a raspberry lemonade, the "Ocho Florentine" eggs Benedict type dish, the tomato mozzarella and pesto toastie, homemade millionaires shortbread, and homemade coffee and walnut cake. Delicious!
M. T.
Love this place a great spot on a sunny day for delicious coffees and treats. We love zooming up the canal.,... Messing in the monkey bars and then whizz into Ocho. Super high quality!
S. S.
Amazing little place tucked next to the canal. Beautiful surroundings. Absolutely amazing healthy unique food. Quiet atmosphere
S.
Shame that the view to the canal and Glasgow are spoiled due to the cars parked outside. Lovely cosy atmosphere and service by ? Natasha was polite and prompt. Price for 2 white coffees/1diet coke was not too bad at £6.60p. Would love to try something off the food menu at some point.
K. T.
Great place for filling meals, fast service, fairly busy cafe. Thank you team for such a good quality food
R. S.
Food always delicious. Nice selection of dishes :)
C. H.

I was a very pleasantly surprised with this restaurant Ocho .the place was very relaxing to have something to eat in the saff were so nice and the food was lovely and the presentations of the food was perfect. Would I go again the answer would be most definitely and I would recommend Ocho to my family and friends.
R. S.
Great food and staff. Very attentive. Portions excellent. Not a massive choice on the menu but really tasty food well priced. Parking not great is probably the only downside.
P. M.
So pleased Ocho survived the lockdown. One of my favourite places for a breakfast.
A. G.
Nice location, pleasant staff, coffee good, toilets clean. Only downside was i felt it was a bit expensive.
K. H.
A very pleasant little restaurant, with lovely ambience. Had an excellent cooked breakfast with the best haggis I've ever tasted! Staff were spot on. Highly recommended!
G. E.
Nice wee place, nice food and big bonus for me, it’s dog friendly (inside)
S. D.
Great place for Breakfast, the Build Your Own Breakfast is great
J. P.
Excellent coffee and food beside the canal. What's not to like?🙂
G. C.
Nice coffee shop expensive but u pay what you get, next to the canal..
I. C.
Brilliant place. One of the best kept secrets in Glasgow. Definitely worth climbing the hill for the spectacular views.
The food is great and the ambiance fantastic. This place deserves to be common knowledge rather than s hidden gem. Whether you sit inside or on the cobblestone street overlooking the canal it's a great experience. Give it a shot
Ps - you'll want to walk as the parking outside is for residents only.
F. D.
Delicious food. Great service. Freat vegan choices.
D. F.
Lovely dog friendly brunch experience. Friendly staff and unbelievable food. Cheers guys!
A. J.
Fab, fresh and imaginative brunch - enjoyed in November sunshine by canal. Friendly, helpful staff and a lovely visit.
A. B.
Small cozy cafe with great vegan options!
R. H.
Fabulous brunch place. The food is always so tasty and freshly prepared. Atmosphere is just right and Ocho makes the canals and Spiers Wharff a justice. 10/10 would recommend. I can't wait when the place reopens again.
C. C.
Yummy, and love the feel of it. In a quiet nook of Glasgow serving beautiful brunches. I even saved a tree on my visit, unexpectedly - add a quid on the end of your stay and that's what will happen.
M.
Really cute wee café next to the canal. The coffee is really nice and so are the cakes. The business has also set up a sensible covid secure layout and system which makes it seem plenty safe and clean! 👍
M. T.
Awesome place and who would have thought candy floss would come as a ripping to a stunning hot chocolate - awesome place by the canal side - will be back next time for a toastie as they look magnificent :-)
L. J.
Had a lovely brunch today. Staff are friendly and helpful. Place was clean and well spaced for safety and details taken for track and trace from each household. Would be happy to return.
A. F.
My daughter and boyfriend took us here it's really lovely everything homemade. Lovely staff and prices not bad 👍
M. B.
Great for lunch very clean. Food was good and staff were friendly helpful and made you feel very welcome. Also not just for health fanatics or gym conscious people although food is healthy anyone can visit this little gem of a place in such a lovely setting by the forth and Clyde canal
S. M.
Always a great meal in here! The team really put some excellent food together and the 'Build Your Own Brunch' has a brilliant selection to choose from. Another happy customer 😁
S. C.
Excellent food lovingly made and served with a genuine smile. The food here whether it's lunch breakfast or dinner is incredible, the French toast with bacon and maple syrup is a great hangover cure. Great location, smallish inside but on a sunny day take a walk up and have lunch outside by the canal.
C. H.
Fab coffee and cake, great service and nice setting
A. W.
Good coffee and lovely bites in a beautiful setting to sit outside on a sunny day. Having said that it is a bit pricey imo.
N. L.
Good spot for build your own brunch, breakfast rolls and decent sandwiches for lunch. Portions good and food good quality. Range of hot and cold drinks including alcohol. Great location beside canal. Staff friendly and always sure of warm welcome.
C. B.
Delightful cosy cafe with chocolate cake ... and outdoor seats looking out over Glasgow and this
M. M.
Awesome wee cafe. Great food and drinks (decent beer and wine) and very friendly. They close by about 4pm. Wish they opened a bit later. If it's sunny, they'll serve you on the picnic tables outside.
J. S.
Food and service was amazing ! Only downfall was there were no baby changing facilities 👎
J. C.
Went up today and had a toasted sandwich which was lovely and fresh and the staff there are so nice so welcoming and the lovely weather made more welcoming good job guys ❤👍
J. M.
4.5 Stars. Ocho is the tasty heart of Speirs Wharf. Cold drinks, excellent food and perfect for a nice day at the canal. A bit more variety of choices would give a total of 5 stars.
G. R.
Recently re-opened under new management, food was lovely and certainly appeared to be made from fresh, local produce. £5 for the take-away menu which consisted of soup and a freshly made toasted sandwich, considering the quality and price of food items from places like Starbucks/Costa etc. This place is a no-brainer and I will definitely be visiting again. Very convenient, very tasty and very good value for money.
A. M.
Great food at a great price. Its quite a small venue, but is a very personal service and always happy to help as much as possible. They sell a few crafts such as bracelets that are made by locals, and have a Mexican theme night on Mondays, available both to eat in or take away.
e. l.
Food was very tasty and good value. Lovely relaxing spot by the canal which doesn't feel like it's so close to the city.
G.
They don't have much vegan options on their menu so if your vegetarian or vegan I'd look elsewhere, but saying that, the one vegan sandwich they did do, was incredibly tasty
i. m.
Lovely place. Great location. Great healthy food choices. Ambience and staff very agreeable. BIG PLUS ➕ Dog friendly
F. D.
Absolutely wonderful for our group of 7. We ordered for afternoon tea with variety of bake goods that were all tasty and fresh. Coffee and tea were both great. Good service.

Good food if a little mean in portions for the Big Breakfast. A dolls tea cup filled with baked beans is interesting but not really suitable as part of the advertised offering.
C. M.

J. S.

A. Q.
Best cafe in Glasgow, great staff, great food and an absolutely dynamite drinks menu.
R. P. V.
Food is good and service is excellent. The only downside is that they close rather early during the week. I wish I could have a pint after work.

Wonderful food in a great position on the canal, 10 minutes walk from the centre of Glasgow. Go there before it gets deservedly well-known and you can't get in any more!
