N. S.Edit: Waited for 30m for 2 sandwiches. The food was okay. Missing crisps from our plate and we never got our doggy chicken which we ordered when we arrived. (This was rectified at the end when we raised this). Cafe is quaint and well located.

Came here for lunch after a walking trail in Lenzie. I got myself a Vegetarian Breakfast and a Latte. The former was good, although the portion size was not particularly generous and I'm not even a big eater, but no complaints about what was on the plate. The latte was excellent, creamy and smooth.
The cafe has all the social distancing procedures in place and even screens between tables, so kudos for that.

m. m.Stopped for a quick cuppa for the first time and it was really good. Staff pleasant and efficient and the malteser millionaires traybake was yummy. Well worth a return visit. 🤗
J. S.Really nice atmosphere, coffee quite good. Menu seemed quite standard with your bacon rolls and paninis etc.
I ordered a grilled haloumi with rocket and pesto wrap for £6 or £7 odd and what came back was something smaller than your normal starter, a pile of 2 or 3 small lettuce leaves and a spoonful of crisps on the side of a very tightly wrapped wrap who's filling was so meagre I think they managed to wrap it twice round... all served on a large plate that made it look even smaller.
Instead of grilling the halloumi they grilled the entire thing which wilted the rocket and reduced the already small wrap into something the thickness of a biscuit. The size did not live up to the price.
However every one else liked what they had. The staff were extremely pleasant. And like I said the coffee was good and the had oat milk which was a bonus. So I think maybe I just chose the wrong thing from their menu. If you have a normal appetite don't order the wrap.

I am delighted to update my review after a lovely return visit to The Fells. Toni, the owner invited my sister and I back for a complimentary lunch. She was keen to have us return and enjoy our experience which was to her credit. A table was reserved for us and we were warmly welcomed on arrival. A jug of iced water was delivered to our table immediately, which was nice and Toni spent time chatting to us. I ordered the 'special' which was a Brie and cranberry turnover which was delicious and my sister had bruschetta with Mediterranean roasted veg again- also delicious. We were then treated to our choice of cake and a lovely coffee. To be honest if this had been our first visit we would have not only been delighted, we would have been impressed!
Thank you Toni for inviting us back to have the opportunity to enjoy The Fells in its best light. I have a feeling last week was an unfortunate ' blip'. I would not hesitate to return after today's lovely experience. This venue is a great addition to the village and a lovely place to meet and enjoy coffee or an array of menu choices to suit all tastes.

I wanted to enjoy my first visit and feel it should be a great wee place to meet in the village. Sat down and the table was sticky and dirty. Queued to Order- Bruschetta with roasted veg - veg undercooked and a hair in it so had to return it. Hummus and "warm " pitta- pitta was rock hard so couldn't eat it. My plate was collected with no mention of why I hadn't eaten the food. Queued again to order coffee and fruit scones and mentioned the returned Bruschetta I had already paid for so they didn't charge for coffee etc. Coffee was nice. Plain scones, not fruit delivered and have to say they were just awful-rubbery and tasteless! SO disappointed. 😩
