Lovely little cafe❤️ I love the open kitchen, staff is incredible and the food amazing (see my GIANT breakfast roll haha) will definitely be returning:)
L. S.
What a beautiful place with incredible staff and amazing food !! Def one of the best for brunches in Glasgow!!! Well recommended!!!
e. h.
The best vegan Haggis i have ever had. And a beautifully made, tasty coffee and super friendly staff. And a proper music in the background!!! This cafe is Glasgow's prescious gem. Thank and we will be back !
R. W.
Coffee and croissant was nice and a good sunny spot in the morning.
No napkin given with an potentially messy almond croissant and hand sanitizer empty.
Little things that discourage a return visit.

Absolutely lovely. By far, one of the best, if not the best coffee shop in Glasgow. Firstly, the ambiance is lovely. Great music and a suitable level, details through the decor, and relaxing lighting. I noticed that each spot had outlets for electronics as well.
On top of this, great food and delicious espresso. The chef beautifully poached the eggs and the food had fantastic presentation. Finally, the staff working were kind and had a welcoming energy about them.
Definitely recommend.
T. J.
Nice place with decent coffee and pleasant atmosphere.
E. S.
Great service and food, but no decaffeinated coffee when I visited the place.
S. E.
This is a nice little spot... the wait staff are very kind and warm... the food is really quite good... though artisan bread is hard to cut up and can be too chewy for eggs on toast. The coffee... well..... the coffee served here follows a popular trend in coffee across the UK... namely, the use of beans from places like Ethiopia... where the flavour is very sour. I am very much NOT a fan of modern, sour blends. So I couldn't have hated it more. I prefer bitter Italian style.
C. B.
Amazing food, many great options for brunch or lunch and reasonably priced! Delicious coffee too. The Finnieston eggs was absolutely delightful. Friendly staff and the service was quite quick, i will definitely be coming back to this place!
M. J.
Coffee lovers must have this experience. Cosy shop with some relaxing space. Very very very good staffs. Plenty of coffee beans are available and show around the shop. Different choices of coffee and tea are now ready to taste. I'll come back here again and again.
K. D.
We had the most delicious breakfast - the very best on our trip to Glasgow.
Very reasonable prices and one more thing.... The coffee is GREAT!!! ☕
A. L. E.
Lovely cozy place with great coffee. Especially the espresso beans were nice. Will definitely be back if I'm in Glasgow. The guy in the shop were sweet enough to recommend me his favourite. Nice lighting, cups and atmosphere.
S. M.
One of my favorite places in all of Glasgow! Rachel is the friendliest barista I've ever met! The atmosphere is comforting-very much like sitting on your own kitchen, but better decorated and you don't have to do your own dishes ;) And they have guitars to play with if you're in the musical mood.
A. V.
Fantastic place. The coffee is excellent by Australian standards and the breakfast was delicious. I was laden with a baby and a dog so they helpfully bagged everything up for me and even taped the take away coffee cups shut.
I. M.
This is the best coffee shop I know in the UK. Coffee, food, atmosphere, and service are all literally perfect. Great range of hot food and cakes; and the house coffee blend is stunning. Not to be missed.
C. C.
Lovely atmosphere, very cozy. Coffee good, they know what they're doing.
L. K.
French toast, toast with fig, and toast with jam were all great. Coffees also great. Love the vibe. Would love to go again.
A. V.
Friendly vibes and cozy decor.
Serving their own roasted beans I was hoping they could offer batch brew, but I guess it's up to customer demand. Coffee is great, food even better.
P. T.
Such a cosy little spot with great coffee, food and wonderful service. I very easily spent 2 hours here with a book and several cups.
J. B.
Amazing place to have a great coffee. The Kenyan Karimikui on filter is knockout, one of the best coffees I've had! Everything was amazing and the food was fantastic. One of the best coffee shops in the city. Must try!
E. M.
the steamie is such a nice wee place, warm atmosphere & friendly staff who know a lot about coffee ! The hot chocolate is very nice, and the lentil soup & baked eggs we ordered were good, although the baked eggs lacked a bit of flavour. Everything was served on really cute dishes, which definitely adds to the Instagramable quality (that's a joke). Didn't try the cakes but they look delicious, as well as the variety of teas served here.
R. K.
What an awesome breakfast place! Amazing coffee and amazing bacon rolls. Fantastic service from lovely staff.
c. m.
Great small trendy cafe with a great selection of coffee, cakes and brunch items!
O.
Small, quirky coffee shop. Has great coffee and good selection of cakes. Good breakfast and lunchtime food. The toasted sandwiches are particularly nice.
K. C.
Great coffee and oat milk (Moma oat). Coffee beans can also be purchased. Looking forward to trying.
M. Y.
One of the best cappuccino's I've had in the city, and their carrot cake is amazingly moist and the piece is well sized. Will definitely be back.
G. S.
Went in there today for first time coffee is incredible came home with a couple of bags of beans. The cakes are awesome also well worth the visit.
Its now been over 3 years since i wrote the original review in that time I've been buying beans from them fairly regularly and they never fail to be anything other than spectacular consistently high quality and always fresh and the flavours they manage to bring out in the beans makes coffee taste amazing, it is most definitely an art to get it this good every time.
c.
11/10 outstanding food. Best french toast me and girlfriend have ever eaten. Not the mention the absolutely heavenly brownie. Needless to say, this is our favourite place now!
D. J.
Hands down the best coffee I’ve had so far on my trip around Scotland! Loved this little place. Bought some beans too! Perfect flat white, had one there and had to get a take away too! Just how coffee should be!
G. M.
Actually really tasty coffee! And the food was pretty amazing. Great for a more than usual lunch! 😁
A. V.
Great coffee shop in a trendy West end. Cozy atmosphere, roast their own coffee, great food and lovely people, independent!
B. M.
Service was slow and we had to move a previous customers cups off our table ourselves. Having said that, the coffee was great and the carrot cake was delicious. Not HUGELY priced at £8 for 2 lattes and a slice of cake. Really nice surroundings and a nice pit stop for carrying on with the rest of your day.
A. P.
Such an aesthetic little place, and the staff is really lovely. Would 10/10 recommend to a friend. Love the plants and warm lighting :)
B. M.
5 star food n coffee. 2 star clean
The food was delicious with top quality ingredients - yummy. We had the avocado on toast and the poached egg with greens. I would go back for more. The coffee was excellent - commendable. Staff were friendly.
However, toilets and floors showed clear signs of long term poor cleaning. Someone needs to take responsibility for this aspect of the cafe management!
N. A.
Went here on Saturday and weren't disappointed. Cutest little place, unpretentious and great value for money. Coffee was fantastic as was brunch. Hot chocolate was a little underwhelming but couldn't fault anything else. Will definitely return on our next venture to Glasgow.
V. P.
It's a small, cozy place with firendly staff. The atmosphere is very pleasant with good vibes. I have been there twice. The first time we had awesome coffees and very tasty cakes. However, the second time we were there it was very busy and the staff seamed a little overwhelmed. We were served coffees that were below average, probably a little burnt, and had to send some of them back. Will definitely try it again though, i think it was just a bad day in otherwise very good little place.
S. W.
I’ve been coming here for a while, before they added the next door unit. In general, I’m a fan of the coffee and I would have previously said the food. Lately it seems they’re not trying as hard. Staff are a bit disinterested, more keen to sort out their work schedule than serve customers. The cooked food has become pretty average. Skillet eggs were barely cooked, cakes are quite dry, water bottles were dirty.
Would love to give it a better rating, but they need to pull their socks up!
C. R.
When I first moved into the area, decent coffee places were few and far between. There are a few more options these days, but I do still love this place! The coffee is always great (They roast their own beans at SWG3), They have just expanded and the place is crazy busy. All food is cooked fresh They have a big choice of snacks and sweets.
K.
Ordered coffee beans online for pick up - some issues picking up the order as they couldn’t find the order in the shop but the guy at the counter was very helpful and provided me beans off the shelf - anyways their coffee is always great, and their baked goods are always great as well
D. T.
5 STARS ***** Popped in for a late breakfast. Great atmosphere, busy and welcoming. Menu had lots of great options, good for meat eaters, veggie’s and vegans. Staff are really friendly. Cake selection is great! Will be visiting again... and again!
A. A.
On the plus side: it is dog friendly, both the coffee and food were delicious, and the staff very friendly.
Minus points are that it is a bit scruffy: the floor was a mess and could have done with being brushed and the front door is very stiff to push open (not wheelchair friendly) and doesn't close automatically (we were up countless times to close it to prevent the cold autumnal air from rushing in)
M. T.
The staff are lovely. Great atmosphere and good food/drinks.
A. m.
Had the Vegan Haggis Sandwich, and it was lovely, staff are very accommodating and helpful, and the atmosphere is warm and welcoming. Would 100% recommend the Flat White with oat milk. Very lovely coffee place. Impressed.
U. K.
Awesome speciality coffee house with a variety of blends and single origin coffees. One of the gems in Glasgow. Great atmosphere to sit and hang out with friends or alone with a book or to get some work done on a laptop. Exceptional service and friendly staff create a warm coffee experience. Highly recommended!
R. C.
Fantastic!
Popped for a late breakfast. Great atmosphere, busy & welcoming. Menu had lots of great options, good for meat eaters, veggies & vegans. Staff are really friendly. Cake selection is great!. Will be visiting again... and again!
P. L.
This was a great find, and to be honest I don't really want to advertise this place too much as it is really really good! It is a single room establishment apart from what looked like a very small kitchen area for preparing food, the racks of coffee types, machines for preparing and making your favourite brews, are all located on one side of the coffee shop, with limited seating on the other side.
This is a great set up, giving great interaction between the customer and server. As for price point, great, felt cheaper than those american coffee shops that plague the high streets, but the quality and service were so much better.
M. C.
Absolutely fantastic wee place. Delicious breakfast and great service, even though they were short staffed. Highly recommend a visit 😊😊
C. P.
Great coffee
Apparently some of the best coffee in Glasgow- and I liked it! Good sourdough and free range poached eggs too - great vibes mixing with the locals. You can tell the coffees good-there was a continuous stream of locals buying the stuff ground
R. V.
Great tasting coffee and an adorable atmosphere. This coffee shop is
decorated so gracefully and it is a beautiful space to drink coffee
and work, study, or catch up with a friend! They offer oat milk to
substitute milk and it brings a delicious nutty flavour to the coffee.
M. C.
Lovely cafe for a well-deserved coffee and cake break. Super staff who are extremely pleasant and helpful.
C. L.
Great coffee in a cozy shop along Argyle. Nice service and the brunch options are tasty.
E. K. W.
I love this cafe it's drinks where wonderful. we didn't have to wait long to be seated and the staff was very kind. I will come back again soon.
A. G.
Fantastic espresso. We walked from our hotel near Union Station, down to Kelvingrove Museum. I kept looking into to spots to grab a quick cup on the way there and never felt right about any of them.
As soon as we looked into The Steamie, I knew I was looking into a shop I'd love. We had been on the road traveling, and they provided the best flat white I'd had in weeks. Would have loved to stayed in, but we were happy to have stumbled upon this place. Keep doing what your doing. And thanks for the cup.
J. Y.
French toast with bacon is amazing. Caramelised banana is essential!
L. W.
Brilliant cosy rustic atmosphere. Delicious food, the baked eggs are top notch and the paninis are very nice, as are the cakes. Great coffee, hot chocolates are served in lovely big mugs. The kind of place you'd love to spend all day in.
G. G.
One of the best breakfasts we have had. Big and delicious. Recommended Finnieston with poached egg and salmon on sourdough bread toast. Coffee was great and vanilla and rose hot chocolate ticked all the boxes !
D. F.
10/10! Service is great from the staff there, food and coffee is always so amazing. Everything is freshly prepared, plenty of options for everyone and always great. No order is too difficult and they are always very accommodating. Will continue to go to the Steamie time and time again - thanks guys!
O. J.
Awesome coffee and food! I am now obsessed with fresh ginger tea thanks to these guys! The staff was really nice as well. Great place to sit and work for a bit.
S. W.
Really love this place. Owner is super nice, happy to chat and happy to leave you alone. Food is so yum and up to the Finnieston standard! Prices are good and service is quick! 10/10.
Also the coffee is great!
J. H.
Holy amazing coffee! I travel a lot and one of my favourite things to check out are local coffee shops so I have experienced my fair share and this is by far one of the best. I went to check it out not knowing it's already great reputation. The coffee is amazing and the service is just as great! Everyone is SO friendly here!! Check them out! You wonont be dissapionted.
D. P.
The thickest and creamiest espresso I have ever had. They put an obscene amount of coffee in their shot, I know, I asked. The staff is helpful and the place is well decorated. Nearby Kelvingrove museum is a must visit as well.
C. M.
Staff are always lovely, coffee is great, they do brilliant eggs and use lots of local produce. I'd be intimated by its hipster-ness if everyone wasn't so welcoming. Hard to get a seat sometimes but when you do, it's a lovely comfy hodge podge of furniture and tables in warm tones. One of my favourites in the west end.
M. T.
Just the best cosiest friendliest place in Glasgow (Finnieston, nearest train station Exhibition Centre) quite often full, but worth a little wait (or share a table and make new friends!) The coffee is just the best roast and the food is fresh and healthy. The staff are all young and totally cool. This has been my regular weekend brunch venue since i discovered it a year ago! ;)
L. M. c.
Great coffe and amazing hot chocolate
j. e.
its a good cozy place with good coffee however its extremely small (around 6 tables or so) so if you’re expecting to find a big spacious place to bring your group of friends then you should probably find another coffeeshop. Also, there’s no wifi and they dont have flavor syrups for coffee (like vanilla and caramel) so if you’re craving some fancy coffee then this isnt your spot. Overall the coffee is good, their cake is delicious, and the staff is friendly. However, the price doesnt really differ that much from starbucks. I just expected them to have wifi since this is literally the most wanted thing in all coffeeshops. Its also kind of busy so dont really expect to find a place the minute you walk in.
C. S.
Fantastic coffee! Also a good selection of teas. Cosy place. Small menu of sandwiches and bagels. I suspect most people come for the great coffee.
Good service did to the small size.
M. A.
Lovely coffee shop, the food is always good, and is made in open kitchen, lots of delicious custom drinks too though you do wait a little longer for service. There's a lot of seating and they a disabled changing wc.
A. W.
Plenty of tables in this large coffee shop. Good food and helpful staff. Dairy free and gluten free options available. Good range of loose leaf teas.
C. C.
Great place, very comfortable and relaxing atmosphere, best coffee, u
even get explained the whole processes of the barista art of Coffee if
u ask. Very nice people there, plus they have a very nice outside
seating area.
F. K.
Really great coffee house in the heart of Glasgow! Coffee is great and the cakes are delicious. Limited seating, so be prepared to share. Feels like you're in a friend's living room.
A. D. R.
Great coffee and best breakfast ever !!!! I stayed in Glasgow for one day, I make the right decision to get breakfast here!
Also good variety on desserts and amazingly tasty ...
G. G.
Really fits the bill. Easy parking good food and good decor. Had veggie breakfast which was fab. Open all day, plenty of seating but can get busy.
C. L.
Best independent coffee shop in Glasgow, staff and great menu. Much more than just great coffee. Innovative and tasty healthy food, I really like the atmosphere at the Steamie.
P. S.
Wonderful and niche coffee shop. We went there every day we were in Glasgow. Very friendly staff and inclusive nature. Highly recommend a visit if you love artisan coffee options.
H. M.
It was good but I think the coffee tasted slightly burnt. Great place to hang out and have a nice chat with a friend. Really small so don’t bring a group with loads and loads of peeps.
G. C.
cozy place to hang out with friends, can be so crowded sometimes as it
is a kind of favorite place for people in Glasgow to hang out. They
serve fresh roasted coffee and cakes which I like a lot. come earlier
to avoid busy time
M. D.
Best flat white in Glasgow and also the best fried eggs I've had. The staff are wonderful and so is the service. I can't recommend it enough!
M. L.
Absolutely love it here the best coffee in Glasgow by far! Lovely staff and amazing cakes. A must try place if you love local coffee roasters.
O. S.
Truly great coffee, not much else to add!
Essentially, that's what it's all about for me, as I could not care
less for the trendy hype about gadgets and all the bells and whistles
... coffee is either well roasted (developed), extracted with care &
knowledge or just "rocket fuel".
ع.
Eating is normal
The service is great and the girls cute
Coffee is medium
A. S.
Travelled a fair bit to get here. The Cappuccino I had was good but not outstanding. I also had egg and halloumi roll which had sweet chilli sauce. Minus one star for putting sweet chilli sauce as that made it taste quite cheap. It made it taste more appetising but more unauthentic as i was tasting sweet chilli all the time and the real flavour of egg and halloumi was kinda masked.
M. F.
Cool vibe, great place to eat especially if you are vegan/gluten free. The food is cooked and prepared in an open kitchen layout. Tasty food and v.friendly staff. It’s definitely worth a visit.
I. S.
Great experience.
Such a nice, unexpected surprise walking in here. The shop is gorgeous, the staff friendly & informative, and it has a great atmosphere. Plus, they have a really interesting menu with a lot of options.
F. K.
Love love love The Steamie - fab hot drinks and you can't beat their home baking!! Am addicted to the Tea Loaf, toasted Clootie Dumpling, various flavours of hot chocolate, and the whole experience really - it's so welcoming and relaxed, I could happily spend whole days there :-)
L. J.
Delicious espresso
Friendly staff is really the highlight. Espresso was perfect, not bitter. Nice outside tables for some people watching. Definitely the spot to go!
G. Z.
5 Stars ***** Passion for good coffee and innate courtesy. Drip, espresso, or milk, here you will have amazing coffee! They do roasting themselves on the spot 😉
P. B.
Lovely cakes and wonderful coffees. The only issue I that there's one girl at the counter so sometimes it gets really busy. Lots of places to seat down
A. B.
Whilst on a visit to Glasgow from South Africa we found this place on Google and it was fantastic! Great friendly staff, amazing Coffee and the food was fantastic! If you are ever in the area make sure you pop in!
C. F.
Lovely little place with tasty coffee. Brownie wasn't my thing but there was a lot of choice in cakes. The caramel shortbread in particular looked very nice.
A. D.
Brilliant coffeeshop and roasters. Fair trade & organic coffee & good baked goods. We had smoked salmon on sourdough with a free range organic poached eggs.
B. p.
Super cute coffee shop with both inside and outside seating. Their coffee is really good and their pastries looked fantastic but I did not get to try.
L. M.
Excellent food and great coffee. Would highly recommend. Nice relaxing atmosphere and helpful staff.
S. P.
Great selection of teas if coffee isn't your thing. Wonderful breakfasts and cakes. You can sit in or take something to go. Great place.
S. S.
Great coffee, great atmosphere, I love the design and friendly feel of the place- Must visit if you're ever strolling down Finnieston
D. R.
Nice coffee, good carrot cake! A lovely place with friendly staff and a nice atmosphere. Toilets require an upgrade.
S. F.
One of the coffeehouse in Glasgow. Nice and chill, staff very good and friendly. Tried once food and it was really tasty too. Going back there again!
E. N.
Bacon egg and halloumi rolls are life changing. Drove all the way back from Newcastle a year later to have another. Coffee is outstanding as well.
A. M.
A warm cozy experience with delicious coffee drinks. Their coffee cake is divine, I come here weekly for it. My friend is slightly obsessed with their carrot cake.
D. D.
Delicious food and coffee! Very friendly staff, cosy atmosphere.
A. P.
Great coffee...I had espresso - amazing vegan carrot and walnut cake. Walnuts were so sweet....yum yum yum. Very attentive staff!
J. H.
Great simple breakfast baps, quick friendly service, comfy seats!
N. B.
Decent hipster coffee shop. Has appearance of a living room. Nice lightly roasted beans and a choice of apparatus (V60, Chemex, aeropress etc) for coffee nerds.
Y. C.
So the ambience is great and the staff really nice, but the coffee is horrid, I don't remember the last time I drank such a burnt espresso.
The beans are clearly too roasted, and the machine delivering too much pressure.
S. C.
I love this wee find. So different in both their approach to coffee (they know their stuff!) and the atmosphere of the place. If you like supporting independent businesses then this is for you - oh and if you love coffee doubly so!
L. H. M.
Delicious filter coffee, friendly staff, the vegan carrot and walnut cake is the best I have ever had in my entire life :) If your in Glasgow you must go here.
R. A.
Nice place. Nice staff. A bit disappointed that there was no wifi but I got feedback that this was a deliberate decision to allow tables to turn over quickly. I can completely understand this as it's a small place and doesn't have the luxury of 20 tables etc such as Costa etc. A nice, cosy place to meet. Will defo return.
C. A.
We found this place in the internet. Very friendly staff, they make very good cappuccinos and lattes. We also had the fresh scones and they were excellent.
K. M.
Love the atmosphere of The Steamie despite the fact it is always so busy! Food quality is great and the cakes and coffee are amazing.
S. G.
Great coffee and food but not happy with the staff. Had requested for the barbeque sauce with my bacon & egg roll but never delivered.
L. J. W.
Great coffee, relaxed atmosphere and friendly service - thoroughly enjoyed the food and flat white.
F. M.
The cakes are really tasty and the coffee is one of the best that I have ever had! It's definitely worth a visit!
S. B.
This place is delightful, quirky, cosy and the coffee/food game is on point. The staff are charming and friendly and awesome. We LOVED! ❤️
B. l.
Excellent staff and great atmosphere for coffee. Definitely recommend this place for quality coffee brewed fresh daily.
A. c.
the best coffees I've had in a very long time. I wouldn't say that I'm a connaisseur, but the coffee was really smooth. I'll try it again for sure.
V. U.
I had a great meal here! And the carrot cake is yummy. Staff are super nice and the prices are very good for the quantity and quality of the food.
V. L.

This place is simply outstanding - great coffee, loafs, and food combined with a lovely staff and cozy interior.
P. D.
House-roasted beans, espresso drinks & pour-over coffee, breakfast and brunch are on offer at this hip area pit stop.
N. M.
great coffee and a perfect atmosphere.
doesn't accept card payments though which was a tad inconvenient.
C. F.
Great brew and friendly place.
T. F.
Love this spot. Great coffee and carrot cake. Very glad they added a card payment option.
G. S.
Best flat whites in town. Their beans are great and marginally less overpriced than elsewhere.
C. C.
Hit and miss. The quality of the preparation of the food is not consistent. Also, I have found a hair in my food twice.
A. S.
Great coffee, roasted in-house, and minitiously made for you by the owner. A hidden gem for real coffee fanatics.
J. H.

L. R.
This is what I like in a coffee shop. Nice people, good menu, great
cakes, some seats, and great coffee.
P. T.
They make an excellent cup of coffee and at the right temperature. Their coffee prep is the best around.
S. L.
Has quickly become my go-to coffee stop when working in West Glasgow. Great coffee and friendly.
i.
amazing coffee and the most delicious vegan carrot cake I've ever had!

The coffee is delicious and the staff 10 out of 10. It is worth it
without a doubt.

Fab place with great coffee, hot chocolate, soup, pananis and home baking. Stephen, the guy with the hat, is full of witty banter too !
