It’s a small cozy restaurant which is nice for a little get together with your friends. The star dishes of this restaurant are probably the tagines, hence we ordered them: lamb shank and seafood. The lamb shank was great, very tender and beautifully seasoned. The seafood tagine was okay, lacking a bit of flavour in my opinion. So either fresher/better seafood would add more flavour to it or a bit more salt would be good. Visited when it was quiet, but I’d imagine it can fill up quite easily during peak hours since it’s a small restaurant. There’s some free parking around the back next to the park, but it’s very limited. Even though the coffee selections seemed intriguing, they’re not so different to ordinary flat whites. Overall, I enjoyed my experience here and would recommend.

Nicely decorated authentic morrocan small Cafe where you can order morrocan food, tea, coffee and desserts. We just came for an afternoon coffe. Special charcoal latte and algerian coffee was nice and tasty, we really enjoyed in nice atmosphere. I am a lover of Baklava but this one was a bit dissapointment, without nuts. Overall nice experience.

I had a birthday gathering on the top floor and the guys at the cafe were so lovely and accommodating for us. I had outside food ordered but would happily have bought food from the venue having eaten there beforehand. It's such a lovely place to chill with a cuppa and a breakfast.

Fabulous choices for carnivores, omnivores, vegetarians and vegans in beautiful surroundings! Just couldn't decide what to have so I tried a bit of lots. Big portions, but was given what I couldn't eat in a box to take home. Great, friendly staff, go give it a try if you haven't already!

I ordered the lamb skewers which came with chips and salad. I thought that the lamb skewers tasted nice but was tough in some places, only apparent because my jaw felt really tired at the end. I felt like the dish could've been accompanied by some dip or sauce because grilled meat and fries on its own is quite dry. I tried some the sausage and baba ghanoush from my two friends' dishes, and it was done really well. Overall, the food especially the meats are done well however would've just liked something to dip on the side. I really would revisit but to try the lamb tagine!

Lovely food and ambience. Helpful staff. Ensure that you make a reservation if you plan on going during the weekend. Only cons are the parking - there isn't sufficient parking and often there are no parking spaces available in the very small car park at the back of the restaurant as residents seem to use those too. The second point is that it is very cold in the restaurant - this is because the glass for the windows is the very old style single glass. Apart from these two little points I highly recommend this Cafe.

The food here is delicious, they have an enormous vegan menu as well as a wide range of options. Would recommend both meat and veg tagines as well as the cakes which are dank. However important to note that no alcohol is served here, not a problem as the teas are lovely too.

This is a cute cafe serving Mediterranean and Moroccan food from breakfast through to dinner. The interior is atmospheric and the menu is diverse with vegan, vegetarian and meat options. I really enjoy the milkshakes they do here as well as the food menu. I recently had the aubergino wrap for lunch and it tasted delicious (it surpassed my expectations). On other occasions I have enjoyed kebabs, tagines and pizza, all of which I would recommend. The service has always been great during visits and I would say the cost is very reasonable given the quality of the food. (Less than £10 for an evening meal & approx. £7 for lunch)

I've experienced both the restaurant and takeaway at Oranaise and I've never had a bad experience. Engaging, friendly staff who will always find an alternative for you if anything is out of stock for whatever reason. Parking around the back is convenient and the place looks great inside! Really cozy with a real otherworldly feel. I could only comment on their Vegan food, but can say, hands down - best vegan pizza in Leeds. Give their vegan cake a try too!

Amazing VEGAN full english breakfast!! You really get value for money, and it also comes with unusual items such as sauteed potatoes and falafel. The vegan sausages and bacon were tasty. The food is delicious with lots of choice. There is a full meat menu and a full vegetarian menu. Lots of vegan options. In addition to the North African cuisine, there are also burger options. I recommend the mixed mezze or the asparagus and lamb tagine. The lamb is so tender. Portions are large!

I cannot stress how much I love this place, the interior is decorated to the hilt with traditional lanterns and mirrors, with a cieling mural of the night sky. The service is always friendly and becoming and the food is to die for. I've been several times with my partner and family and its a firm favourite. Don't be scared to order traditional dishes, although if ordering anglicised meals, don't feel as though you are 'wimping out' The meats are still seasoned with traditional spices so its a lovely twist on a more 'english' option. And they deliver!

Fantastic place and a tried and tested gem for Hyde park corner. Food is plentiful and of a great quality and the staff are friendly and really make you feel comfortable. Decor inside is lovely and you can tell the owner has spent a great deal of time putting a unique mortician fusion look to the place. Would recommend as a place to catch up with friends and any other relaxed get together . Definitely try the nosse nosse coffee - it's supurb! Highly recommend a visit if you are in the area.

Starters were very good - Baba Ghanouj with pitta bread and Kibbeh Shameyieh. Had Algeria No1 Lamb Tagine and he had Vegetable Tagine which were very tasty. the surprise item for me was Mhajeb a Moroccan flat bread stuffed with tomato, onion and spices, highly recommended!

Went with friends on Saturday early evening very lucky to get a table, The whole place was buzzing.Their menu was very good and included a drink for £12.95. The restaurant upstairs is Wow... it take you to moroccan bazar and moroccan small street with all kind of lamps, spices, carpets... if you want to visit morocco go first to oranaise cafe... its a real mirror of north african food and cultur. Oranaise is one of my favourite places for a special lunch out, or a place to meet over coffee. An excellent range of vegan and vegetarian dishes, range of authentic desserts and very good coffee (I particularly recommend the Nosse Nosse Coffee) Good for shared mezze dishes. Had vegetarian and vegan options Had vine leaf Meze as a sharing start a little small tbh. 4 Wrapped vine leaves OK, 3 falafel balls, surly 4 would have been better, were nice and warmed through. Houmous nice as was the other dip (not sure exactly what was in it) flat bread seem shop bought rather than cooked on premises. We ordered tagines 1 aubergine and tofu with rice and 1 saute potatoes and quorn like strips and veg. The tagines where cold so obviously not cooked in them which was a shame and not authentic as promised. Decent size meals not as spicy as expected and again served with 2 shop bought flat breads cut in half. Ok ish meal but at £32 far far over priced and sadly not authentic.... Shame
