This place is brilliant. When we entered we felt really welcomed. It is spacious, light and clean. They catered well for my pram and they provided an ikea highchair with a cushion for my baby. There is a changing table in the toilet too. I had a banana and strawberry smoothie which was filling and really refreshing. I ordered the tomato and mozzarella tart. It came with a lovely salad and coleslaw. Delicious food! I have visited three times previously and have never been disappointed. They sell really nice treats, books and an assortment of gifts too.

As regular customers it is great to be able to go into Truly Scrummy and sit down to eat and drink. We recently went for lunch and it was great to see all the staff again after 3 lockdowns. The menu was familiar and we ordered the fruit smoothies x 2 and New Yorkshire Deli x 2. Delicious tasty and good. Great service. They don't call it Truly Scrummy for nothing absolutely scrummy.

Visited for lunch with my 9mo and my brother, the food was nice I thought the menu was a bit limited but what we had was lovely but as others had mentioned a little on the pricey side before taking into account locally sourced produce etc. unfortunately I don’t think I could recommend this place to my mum friends as for the duration of my visit I did feel like we were in the way, as we arrived with the pram and they asked if we would mind leaving it at the front as there was not much room for manoeuvre in the dining room bit, but when a table left and it was evident the baby needed out of the high chair for a nap I went to go get the pram so he could sleep in it and they quickly asked me if I could move it again so they could seat people on the table behind us. I appreciate that space is tight but I don’t think this place can call themselves child friendly if they cannot accommodate prams and as a result of all this I did feel like we were an inconvenience to the staff and the other diners

I have been in this cafe many times and don't usually leave reviews, but I had to share how friendly and welcoming the staff have been every time, how delicious the food is and how they cater for my 2 year old with the menu as well as providing colouring pages and crayons to entertain her while we are there. I would definitely recommend Truly Scrummy as a family friendly place to go in Horsforth.

Love this place and everything is truly scrummy. Obsessed with the goat's cheese and caramelised onion. And always grab a tray bake to eat back home later. One of the best places to go for a bite to eat if you have kids and babies and they'll always proactively bring highchairs and colouring over while finding a close spot for your pram/s. Always feel welcome and full!

Caesar salad with loaded chips for lunch, followed by a slice of carrott and coffee cake washed down with a capuccino. Everything was delicious and the service was quick, efficient, friendly and welcoming. I recommend this café very highly 😊

Such a gorgeous, friendly place. It puts a smile on my face every time I come here. The homemade bakes are absolutely delicious and the coffee is perfectly made. It’s so family friendly and you feel like apart of the team as soon as you walk in here. I couldn’t recommend it enough x

Had to change plans suddenly and needed dietary requirements as my original booking with a different place fell through. Happened upon this place after some quick searches and I’m so pleased we did! The food was amazing and all our dietary needs were met with ease. Was able to ask about ingredients in basically everything as the food was all cooked on site that day so there was no ambiguity. Cannot recommend enough and will absolutely be back again!

Staff friendly and welcoming. Dining area clean and homey. Good food selection. My daughter had a baby Chino, loved it. I had a 'Mango Tango' smoothie which was really good. Had afternoon tea to takeout. Food was extremely fresh and the pies and pastries were superb! I could have eaten their sausage rolls all day! Staff were extremely helpful and polite and even helped me to the car. Reasonably priced for what you get. I’d recommend adding some pies to your afternoon tea for added quality. Will definitely buy again.

Had delicious sandwiches here one day while in the area and they were huge and very tasty. Very friendly staff in there too. Can't wait to come back and try some of their yummy cakes! I also highly recommend the triple cooked chips... so good and the portions are big so you don't really need them but you should definitely get them!

Used to be a 5 star experience. I've been twice since lockdown. Sandwich fillings and baked potato toppings now a quarter of the quantity they used to be. Literally just a smearing of filling in my sandwich. I sent it back and asked for more but not much difference when it was returned to me. Prices still high though.

Truly Scrummy, a harder working and more friendly place would be hard to find. Great service locally sourced produce where possible, great breakfast..no grease here. Nothing too much trouble and a small range of pastries pies and cheese, wine and beer. Best cafe in Horsforth by a country mile.

Visiting Harrogate and its environs from Ireland and ventured into Truly Scrummy for a morning coffee break. Great coffee and food and the staff were so friendly and attentive. Great customer service and nice atmosphere. We would highly recommend if you find yourself in the Horsforth area.

I've been here twice now, and the food, service and atmosphere has been excellent. Friendly staff, freshly-cooked food and bright decor make this place worth a visit. Food and drinks are slightly overpriced. However, the breakfast and the decaf coffee tasted great so no complaints there. I love the music too: nice soft jazz in the background makes it easy to relax and have a chat. Highly recommended this place.

A little pricey (being in the trade) but it's busy and successful, and located in an opulent location. So 7 years successful trading and expansion indicates excellent pricing policy and customer demand. Great place

This is a frustrating place! The food is good but priced higher than others and the cakes etc are tasty but expensive. Some staff, especially the chap who I think is the manager, are just not very friendly, especially with kids in tow. However, the main frustration is with published closing times vs actual. A specific example was Good Friday 2019, they had bothered to publish Easter opening times on their website but we then walked in 45 min before this to be told that they had shut. This was a disappointment.

Excellent service, scrumptious cakes and perfect coffee, an absolute gem of a cafe and one we'll definitely go back to! We arrived at 15.55 and we were still welcomed in even though it said closing at 16.00 on the door, and we were asked if we wanted anything else once we'd finished. Absolutely superb!

We love Truly Scrummy and have been coming here for years. Paul and Suzanne are lovely and go that extra mile to make you feel welcome. We booked the lower ground floor for our daughters 18th birthday. The catering was beautiful and Suzanne made her an 18th cake and a selection of food that catered for her special dietary requirements. Lacto and dairy free/vegan. She also made gluten free food for a coeliac member of our family. They now look after my mum who has dementia and is in a wheelchair. Nothing is too much trouble. We can't rate it high enough. Clean...beautiful food...friendly and reasonably priced for food that is of excellent quality. Thank you Suzanne and Paul. You are doing a fantastic job!
