Reviews of The Park Kitchen & Deli

Ideal place for family meal. Great food and good service. It’s great to sit outside on a sunny day but inside is actually more pleasant. Salads are excellent as is fish finger sandwich.

Food was delicious! Really enjoyed this juicy burger! Not greasy, soggy or dry, just perfect! Fish and chips were lovely too,.. fish needed a little seasoning I think but no complaints. Would eat here again!😊 …

Decent food, good coffee -
Good service, I had the pastrami sandwich with an americano it was pretty good! There was a couple of little things like forgetting to bringing a spoon with the coffee (had to ask) then cutlery (had to ask) but other than not bad.
My wife had the chicken and stuffing sandwich which she said was okay. Along with a latte which was good.
I would say decent place if a little pricey, but perhaps that’s because of the location which is in a good little spot.
Overall, I would come here again!

You can taste the quality - the sausage and bacon was great. The yolks on the fried eggs were perfectly runny and a deep golden colour, almost orange, which is what a hens egg should be like!
I'm not normally a fan of plum tomato on a breakfast (give me a proper grilled tomato anyday) but all the excess juice was removed, which was a nice touch.
My only issues were one of my mushroom stalks wasn't cleaned properly (minor, cut it off) and the black pudding was sliced too thinly (not a greed issue, but when fried it dries out really easily, and it was a little dry).
I got a flat white and it was good, but not the best I've had - I feel it was a little bigger than a flat white should be. The other half got a hot chocolate (without cream and mallows) and that was great too.
When we went, the venue menu was more expensive than their website menu (£10.50 for a deli breakfast, rather than £8.95), which is an oversight but still worth paying for given the quality. Staff were generally friendly and welcoming.
I'd definitely go back before heading for a walk round Bradgate.

Great food, not so great for big groups.
We were at a wedding nearby and booked to come here for breakfast. We preorered our food as there were 20+ of us. We informed them we had a dog but were not made aware that dogs could only be outside so our group ended up split up which was not ideal. We waited over 45 minutes for our food, which considering we prebooked it was excessive.
Thankfully when the food did arrive it was good, the toast was the best toast I've ever had but the pancakes could have done with a little more syrup.
All in all, I'd definitely recommend for a couple or small group as a treat as the food is really lovely

Had a great breakfast here, plenty of choice for both adults and kids with great service and the food and coffee was very good. We sat inside, which was very well presented and comfortable. The cafe is deceptively large inside and there were seats outside for nice days. Given its location in Newton Linford, and being so close to Bradgate Park, it would be advisable to book at busier times.

Fab service today! First visit with the pooch! Really impressed with the portion size of my vegan burger and sweet potato fries. Deffo worth the £13. Came away stuffed. Food was well presented and flavourful. Dog friendly too with plenty of bowls of water for those pooches whose owners have come without water. Not a long wait either which was surprising given that there were plenty of customers sat outside. Will deffo be back to try some of the other vegan items on the menu. 😊

Stunning food. Super friendly staff and a great range of things to eat and drink. The gluten free options are amazing best sandwich I've ever had. Would 100% recommend.

Try the burger it’s out of this world and the smoothies are to die for! Lovely place to sit in or out outside if you have dogs and a great start or finish after a long walk around Bradgate Park! Would highly recommend!

I took my mum in law & hubby for Afternoon Tea & the selection of sandwiches & cakes, scones, éclairs etc..... AND bottomless pots of tea, it was yuuummmmm😋😋 would definitely recommend. The cooked breakfast is pretty bloody brilliant too by the way. Thanks again!

I had a lovely fresh burger here. Excellent value for money and staff friendly. The atmosphere was lovely. Highly recommend this Cafe

Beautiful local cafe located just outside Bradgate park, so many yummy cakes, treats, drinks & meals.
Staff are very polite, friendly & caring, relaxing atmosphere, pretty decorated & comfortable place to enjoy a treat after walking.
Free & safe car parking facility, personally think it’s the BEST cafe in Newtown Linford.

Always a pleasure visiting The Park and Deli after a stroll through Bradgate park. Would recommend trying their soup of the day along with one of their sandwiches . Service is alwaus great and you can usually get a table with no or very little waiting.

Great spot for breakfast, lunch or afternoon tea, right opposite the entrance to Bradgate Park, Leicestershire's most famous green space where the dear roam free.
Food was great and Covid 19 restrictions were well maintained but the Eat Out to Help Out had them very busy on our Mon visit so service was very slow and the staff looked overwhelmed, but usual circumstances is really good.
S. G.
Good portions and excellent high quality food as well as a wide range to meet everyone's tasts. Wish we had been there sooner as will be going back again and again. Staff also friendly.

would be a regular if their breakfast is all day, which i think is a shame especially since they have more veggie option on the breakfast menu. would love some healthier lunch options if that’s not possible

We visited The Park for a birthday breakfast. A lovely relaxing setting with great atmosphere. A great choice of delicious food, as always, and the staff are extremely friendly and professional. Definitely recommended for breakfast/brunch, lunch, a light bite, afternoon tea or Sunday lunch. We all thoroughly enjoyed the experience.
S. W.
We booked Afternoon Tea for my Mother-in-Law's 80th Birthday and how glad we were we did!
There were 19 of us, various ages, and I can only praise the customer service and the quality of the food. Nothing was too much trouble and they took care of everything, all we had to do was turn up. Everyone in the party left full and commenting on the amazing experience it was from walking through the door an arrival to leaving.
The staff are attentive and friendly and the food plentiful and delicious.
Would not hesitate in recommending The Park for a special occasion or for a quick bite to eat and hot drink the place is amazing. Thank you.

Came here as a family for breakfast after scattering out parents ashes. Lovely place, friendly, efficient service and the food was fabulous. There were 15 of us, and the food was allserved together, hot and very tasty. Thank you.
S. T.
My daughter treated me to lunch and decided we would go to The Park Kitchen as she had been before. Being Monday it was a bit quiet but that was nice. I had Eggs Benedict and my daughter had a Fish finger sandwich and they were both excellent (I did try a piece of fish finger). The service was very good too. I would definitely call again.
K. J.
Best gluten free breakfast ever - the pancakes were incredibly light and fuffy
M. W.
Excellent service, great food and the Gluten free options are excellent.
A. J.
7 of us went there today, including 3 hungry teenagers. The service was friendly and efficient. All the food was good quality and decent portions. Will definitely return.
B. W.
Lovely cafe set right across the road from Bradgate park. Great food and drink too.
J. W.
Loved it been many times before. Super dinning.

Having had breakfast, lunch and take away coffee and cake several times over 2021, I would say the food is delicious and generous. Staff are always friendly and peasent. The only reason for the 4 star is down to the cakes. Whilst always delicious, I tend to find them just short of the mark in comparison to their food. The coffee and walnut cake needs walnuts in the cake, it lacks that lovely bit of crunch to the soft soonge, the carrot cake needs to be a bit sweeter or maybe sultanas adding, and the bakewell tart lacks that almond punch you'd expect. Don't get me wrong the cakes are lovely, I'd just prefer if I'm eating cake for it to be the best it can be.

I booked a table for 8 adults (and a high chair) about 5 weeks in advance of our visit. The table was set nicely and there was plenty of room for us all to fit round, even with the hair chair. All of the staff were very friendly and gave their recommendations - 5 of us went for the Sunday Roast Beef Dinner - and it didn't disappoint! Most of us followed our lunches with a pudding - all of them were really generous portions with most of us not being able to finish it! All of the food came out hot and was delicious. I would definitely recommend!

Fabulous place to eat . The menu is really good great choice on offer. We had fish and chips, beef burger and halloumi burger and it was delicious would definitely recommend
E. F.
10 of us went for lunch. Not a single complaint! Car park at rear so no problem finding a space. Clean and welcoming. Food was all freshly done and nicely presented by friendly staff, what more could you ask for?
V. K.
Kirsty is a credit to this place. After a slight hiccup on our first visit, she definitely was awesome. A very nice place to chill and have lunch. Highly recommended.
K. I.
Recently changed hands but service was excellent! booked for afternoon tea for 4 of us and arrived with the table all set up for us beautifully, the girls serving were well mannered and just brilliant. The amount of sandwiches and cakes we had was plenty and we were very impressed. We came to celebrate a birthday and one of the girls noticed the birthday badge and brought the cakes out with one having a candle in, which was lovely. overall, great value with the service, food and the drinks you get included. would definitely recommend and will be returning. Well done guys!
R. S.
Great food, friendly service, good choice of GF items, reasonably priced. Nice airy feel to the interior.
S. T.
This is a nice place to eat in terms of it's location. However, I paid £5 for scrambled eggs on toast, and received just one piece of toast with a small amount of scrambled egg. I thought two pieces of toast was standard? In fact, I know it's standard as I I've never been to a cafe that doesn't give you at least two pieces! I did complain but was asked to pay another £1 for an extra piece of toast. Because of this I wouldn't go again. If you go to Jade's next door it's much cheaper and you get a decent amount.
B. W.
Afternoon tea to celebrate a friends birthday, I am gluten and dairy intolerant.
They were brilliant as was the tea.
Thank you.

On the 7th September we had our wedding reception at The Park Kitchen & Deli. The food was out of this world and the staff were amazing, they are so caring, helpful and thoughtful. The place was just perfect for our wedding reception and I really recommend using the venue for parties or wedding receptions. A massive thankyou to all the staff that was involved in making our day even more special. X
