Love this place. Staff are friendly and the food is amazing! Great fresh produce at super reasonable prices. I had the chilli dog and it was out if this world! Looked lush and tasted just as good. Even my kids love it and they are super fussy! My only complaint is that I was too full for cake (I so should have bought some to bring home for later!)

Took my mum for an afternoon treat and didn't tell her about it beforehand. On arrive it looks absolutely lovely with outside setting and lovely decorative things around the garden. We were led into the summer house for our tea and it was a really lovely space with a flowery decorated wall and lots more nice little things. The actual afternoon tea was amazing, very filling for 2 people and tasty, the tea pots and cups were really pretty. We couldnt manage it all so took our leftovers back home in a takeaway box for later. Very nice experience 😊

Absolutely love this place! Its always my first choice tea room to go to. Today's visit was exceptional and the food was delicious. The menu has improved (it was amazing before) and the food seems to get better and better!

We had a lovely festive afternoon tea. Plenty of food & coffee. We were offered plenty of refills of coffee & weren't rushed & at all. All the cakes tasted amazing & there was a good selection of sandwiches. The decorations in the potting shed is so cute!

Lovely loose leaf tea. I had a egg and mushroom sandwich, the bread was lovely and fresh but feel that it was a little expensive for what it was.
Also if I order a chocolate orange cheesecake I rightly or wrongly expect the the cheesecake to be chocolate not just have chocolate sprinkles on top.
Would recommend as it's always better to support local business.
The staff are always friendly and polite and can't do enough for you.
Can be a little cold in the potting shed so wrap up warm until the blower heater warms up the room.

Visited here with a group of six, from london.
The afternoon tea was soo pleasant and accommodating. We all enjoyed the experience and were left soo full. Thank you for your great hospitality!

Absolutely have loved each visit I've been to here. Including before the pandemic started the menu was always full of different goodies and treats and hot or cold food to choose from. I have gotten the chance to visit it more while being on furlough and there's still so much choice and all so yummy. Recently went for breakfast and chose the smoked salmon and poached eggs on toast which was delicious and took away some of the cruffins they had 😋
When you go, make sure you check out the cakes in the cake fridge!

First time to the establishment and was quite impressed.
I personally had tea and toast but was all good.
The tea was proper loose tea and was very nice.
Don't go if on a diet as the cakes looked amazing.

This is a pleasant little place for tea, I asked recommendation for food and I had a steak and Stilton sandwich. I didn’t try the cakes but I will next time.

I popped in for a take away breakfast & was not disappointed! Be warned the large breakfasts are HUGE! The quality of the food was really good & the service friendly. I had a lovely cup of loose breakfast tea whilst I waited & enjoyed the time chatting away with staff & customers. Cosy little hidden gem, I look forward to a return visit! Thank you

I came with 2 friends a couple of weeks ago for lunch, they had the smoked salmon bagel and I had tuna and cheese melt which was on delicious crusty sourdough we also had tea and managed to squeeze in delicious cakes too. We were seated in a lovely pink summer house, the staff were lovely. I didn't know about this place but will definitely come back when I get the opportunity. The only thing I would mention was that the napkins seemed a little damp and were quite hard to unwrap the cutlery but this was only a little thing and didn't spoil a lovely lunch.

Lovely welcome and service by the waiter. and amazing company!
Sandwiches were a little crispy as if they were left standing for a while prior to serving. I'm not keen on wraps served with an afternoon tea too. Scones were quite dry I only ate half . I did enjoy the small raspberry sponge though.
The garden is really sweet and relaxing

Lovely food but strange seating choices. We had the afternoon tea for two, which was absolutely lovely, couldn't fault it, besides it being a bit pricey. However we weren't given any sort of option to sit outside, despite there being plenty of free seats. Instead we were placed in small shed area with two other parties that ordered afternoon tea, this kinda dampened our experience as it was quite noisy and crowded, we felt like we couldn't relax.
This wouldn't have been so bad if we weren't placed in a corner seat that directly faced the wall. They could have set that up so much better as I don't anyone wants to sit in a squished corner facing a wall to have afternoon tea when outside would have been perfect. The fact that we initially tried to sit somewhere else before being moved back there too should have raised some questions also.

Hidden Gem - my wife and I were visiting Lincoln for our anniversary. She is quite the fan of an afternoon tea so I had a quick Google and spotted The Garden Tea Room. All looked good so we headed the short 15 minute drive from near the Cathedral to the tea room.
The phrase looks can be deceiving springs to mind as when you follow Google to the address it's not overly obvious where the tea room is and in all honesty the address on Google leaves alot to be desired.
We spotted the car park to the rear and thought we would head in to try and locate it and wow, walked into the most amazing little garden!
The layout of the garden is such that you forget about where you are, the noise is lost within the garden and you're surrounded by beautiful plants and uniquely themed furniture.
The food was brought promptly and in fantastic amounts. Charged at £15 per person for the afternoon tea, let's just say it's a good job they do doggy bags as you'll need one. Unlimited tea/ coffee is also included. The food itself was beautiful and fresh.
The staff were lovely and eager to help, checking regularly that all was well and taking further orders as required.
All in all I'd say this is a must visit if you find yourself in Lincoln/ surrounding area.

4 of us went for the afternoon tea. It was a really lovely experience. We would have preferred it to be just sandwiches instead of a mixture of wraps but that said it didn't detract from the quality and taste.
The staff were very welcoming and accommodating, nothing was too much trouble.
We will certainly be returning 😁

Lovely food. Drinks nice and hot. Definitely will have to return, especially when we saw the beautiful cakes come out and we were to full to have some!

After seeing the reviews, and from people highly recommending was a bit of a disappointment for my birthday treat this afternoon. Once we were seated and the tiered stand of food and drinks were presented, no one revisited our table while we were there to ask if everything was ok, or to offer a refill of tea. People on other tables also had to get up and ask for top ups. Half the sandwiches offered were cheese based which may be ok for some, and jurys out on tuna in a wrap and chesse with pickle in a wrap. A little more variety or a choice to suit personal taste like alot of other tea rooms offer would be better. The scone which for me with fresh cream and jam is the highlight, was dry(very). Upon paying, no one asked if we'd enjoyed it. So not knocking it, but with plenty of staff, a bit more attention to customer service would not go amiss. Perhaps we went on an off day?

Very good place, excellent coffee and cake

This is the best little tea rooms. The cakes are just splendid and the service is fab. I have ordered several large cakes now for birthdays etc and they are always a huge hit. If you go you need to try a cheese cake .... just fabulous!!! Xx

Lovely home cooked food and friendly service, possibly one of the most underrated dining experiences in and around Lincoln.

Delightful place. Home made cakes and cheesecakes. More than average portion sizes. Great staff.

This place is such good value for money. I cant fault the quality, quantity, and variety of food served here. Yes it is snacks ie Paninis, jacket spuds, sandwiches but all freshly prepared with fresh ingredients. You are spoilt for choice for cakes and the most delicious cheesecakes going! Lovely Lincolnshire tea and delicious coffee.Staff are very welcoming and try to cater for any food intolerances. Defo a must place to visit!

What a little gem of a find, and only ten minutes away from us. I wish we'd found it ages ago ! The food is delicious and almost impossible to finish. So much food, so much choice, and a lovely setting in a little conservatory with the potting shed at the side ! We went for my daughter's birthday and she adored it. Its so cute !
Mismatched crockery is my favourite, and the food served on the 3 tier cake stands is reminiscent of a Victoria tea party.
More than worth the five stars.

Lovely little tearoom, but unfortunately I wasn't very impressed. I had Cinnamon Toast, which was barely toasted and the spread (which was more or less just slapped in the centre of each slice, rather spread evenly to the edges)was horrible. It certainly did not taste like butter. In fact I suspect it was vegan spread. To be fair to the lady behind the counter, she did take the toast back and accepted the fact I did not like it. However, at no point was I asked if I would like something else and when it came to paying the bill we had to point out the toast had been returned. I appreciate it was a very busy period, but there is no excuse for poor customer service.
On the plus side, my latte was lovely and my daughter and sister enjoyed their lunches.

I have been to the Garden Tea Rooms a couple of times and both times were fab :)
They fit us in last minute both times. The staff were friendly.
The value for money was good also. The cakes were amazing.
Would throughly recommend afternoon tea here.

What a treat!! Lovely afternoon tea. A Christmas present from friends. Food was great - so much too. In fact we brought some home to enjoy later. Lashings of tea and coffee. My husband and I enjoyed it very much.
The service was friendly and very helpful.
Loved it all. Thankyou so much.

Lovely atmosphere, great staff and wonderful food 😀

Lovely place to be sat in the sun, friendly staff and very tasty food. Not a problem but this is a cash inly establishment, so bring some with you, or remember to pop to the ATM near the adjacent co-op before you eat. Will definitely return.

This is an amazing little place! Visited with my daughter's for a birthday treat. Their afternoon tea was amazing and they even made my 2 year old daughter her own little plate up! Would definitely recommend visiting here!
