Found this place while wandering around looking for somewhere to eat and this did not disappoint! The portions were incredibly generous and all of the food was cooked to perfection. The staff was very friendly and the cafe contributes to a good cause which is always a plus!

It's 'the place' to eat!
Classic English breakfast was flawless and delicious. Serving was absolutly huge.
The Staff were very friendly and helpful for me, as it is my first time in Liverpool.
If you want to eat something tasty and chat with friendly people you must visit The Brink

This is one of the most amazing cafe/restaurants I've ever been to. It has amazing food, great music and non-alcohol cocktails to die for. And, it is a place for people in recovery (i.e. alcoholics looking for somewhere cool to hang out) and I've never seen anything like it. If you're in Liverpool go and eat something there. I just had a Thai curry there and it was better than anything I've had in years...and you don't need to have anything to do with addiction or recovery to appreciate it.
I was in Liverpool for about 4 days and I went to the Brink each day to eat, drink, appreciate the awesome sounds and work on my laptop.
I can't recommend it highly enough.
The photos below were added in 2019 and are of wooden panels on their walls.

Amazing food and an amazing idea! Staff were incredible. The visit from the new year dragon just topped off the whole experience, would definitely go back and 100% recommend!

This place is stunning. I was so happy to find a dry bar in Liverpool. The staff is amazing, the vibe is one of love and unity, and the coffee is spectacular. I hung out here for hours getting work done and enjoying the atmosphere.

Amazing food that supports an amazing cause. They are a social enterprise that helps former drug addicts straighten out their lives. Proceeds of the food you buy contributes to providing free coffee to the homeless. Was once visited by the Duchess, Kate Middleton

Very kind staff, healthy fresh smothies, we had a good breakfast!

Nice atmosphere, quirky decor, great food and drinks at good prices. The staff were very friendly and welcoming. We had breakfast here and the fresh juices were awesome, the food was really tasty and the service was quick. The teas were alse very nice, even the English breakfast tea was loose and tasted great. Would definitely return.

Been using their back room & cafe for our guitar classes for years. Sad that they've closed apart from their addiction services. Staff always good - best wishes for them.

First visit to the Brink. Loved its atmosphere. Very chilled and laid back. Jay was really welcoming behind the bar. Will definitely return on a more regular basis.

Service : The staff was very kind, helpful and nice.
Food : Delicious, cocktails very refreshing and awesome.
Atmosphere : You feel just safe, in a familiar place even if it is the first time you come.
Price : Reasonable compare to the quality of the meal.

The Brink is a fantastic concept. Yes it's a cafe, yes it's a bar, yes they have live music... but it's also Liverpool's first DRY bar. Yes, there is no alcohol here.
While I myself do drink, I think it's great to have this option available for people who don't (or can't) have alcohol. It makes this work by having the look and feel of a 'regular' bar, even to the point of their (non-alcoholic) cocktails.
It works brilliantly. You never feel like you're missing out on anything and it means the day/night can be enjoyed by the whole party.
The food on offer here is great too. The produce is locally sourced and is put to use excellently, creating tasty dishes.
I'll definitely be trying The Brink again as the couple of times I've been so far have been a lot of fun.

We originally came here looking for fresh juice and ended up having a meal too. Good veggie breakfast. Staff friendly and service was fast. A nice, open, relaxed space.

The Brink has been a God send to our family since it opened.
It is a blessing to this city and anyone who wants to pursue sobriety.
Many come to our city to celebrate and that's great but the Brink is there and I hope will always be there for anyone of any age to consider abstinence from addiction when the party is over.
Please support it.
My husband is in his 23rd year of recovery and part of that recovery has been in the company of the staff and visitors at this, the most unpretentious eatery in Liverpool.
Well done and thank you to all the staff over the years, you do fantastic job.
G. T. A.
Just like i remember it :) nice hearty big portions and tasty no fuss food :D attentive staff who go out of their way to make up for the shortcomings caused by ongoing renovations when i visited.
Will always recommend :)

An alcohol cafe/bar with a warm friendly atmosphere and a good range of alcohol free drinks including amazing hot chocolate, smoothies and juices. There's also a food menu and lots of events nights including the Halloween night which was a lot of fun. Good place with a great purpose.

I’m really glad that places like this dry bar exist as an alternative evening meeting place to the usual booze filled pub. The food is nice enough with daily specials, but the non-alcoholic cocktails are the real attraction of the venue with some great taste combinations to try.
R. K.
I've only tried the Sunday Roast but it didn't let me down! A lovely roast, choosing the gammon. Lovely local staff and a great vibe around the restaurant. A great place to relax!
M. B.
The community in the brink is amazing . Everyone is made welcome in Liverpool's first dry bar .. Try this place if you don't like it I will eat my proverbial hat ... I love the brink with passion. Come join us . Try smoothy or a fat breaky
C. G.
We love it here. Always a great atmosphere and full of support. Great 2 meal deal and the coffee and hot chocolate are fab.
K. K.
Sounds a brilliant place and I'd really love to visit here BUT, the price of the food is a bit ott. (Just saying)🤨
N. I.
Although principally a recovery project, The Brink offers a fine range of tea's and coffee's, as well as soft drinks and inventive and healthy moctails. The food on offer is of good quality. There are also many other groups and entertainment, from guitar tuition to film nights. The vibe is friendly, and non-judgemental. If you want to change your relationship with drink (or something else), you could do worse than to start here.
J. C.
Was thrilled to find a Dry Bar in Liverpool. Great food menu, and a fantastic range of non-alcoholic drinks. Their smoothies, bottles of cream soda, and homemade cakes deserve a special mention! Also serves breakfast until late (3pm) which means you get to try their delicious breakfast without having to get up early! a very casual relaxed place, where i could easily spend many hours! it's also very reasonably priced and just a short walk from Hanover St or Bold St. Looking forward to trying their Sunday roast!
On a shelf displaying their great range of bottled drinks, there's a cool looking mug which says 'Drink the Dry Bar'. If those mugs are for sale, i'd definately buy one! Great place, great prices, i'd highly recommend.

Best breakfast in Liverpool I've had by far - well-sourced ingredients,
masterfully assembled by the talented (and lovely) chef. The succulent big boy sausages almost steal the show but the rosemary-infused tomato might actually be the real MVP here.
Also worth a big shout are the home-made sausage rolls, the cakes at the till, and the overall airy calm vibe inside with lots of natural sunlight.
G. R.
Surprised by how large this place was ..
