Reviews of Chaiiwala Tooting
C.
Very friendly service and pleasant setting. Prices are good.
The karak chai tea was authentic in flavour. Recommended
The chicken sausage roll sadly was very bland and the pasty quite oily and not flaky. The portion of chicken was generous though. Probably best to order something else from the food menu.
M. p.
The seating could be improved but otherwise than that the pink tea had a pleasant aromatic smell as well as taste it contained nuts too, the food as shown below was good but the spice could've been tolerated a bit.

Random trip to tooting, ended up at Chaiiwala. Very quick service, food was top quality and the chai was perfect. Best thing ever is the gulab jamun cheesecake. Will most defo be a regular customer from now. 💥 BUT went to the toilet and the toilet seat fell off… flavour is a 10/10 for the price . I can honestly say this place is very good on price, but my fellow gujis .. the chilli paneer was nice but it wasn’t A1 if you know then you know. . Hene.

We are from Birmingham. Planned a random day to London, ended up at chaiiwala tooting. Amazing food and outstanding customer service. Staff are very friendly and welcoming especially Tahira. She is exceptional, the way she dealt with us and others is so welcoming. She made us laugh and feel at ease. Food was delicious, made fresh and served hot. Presented very well. Decent location, clean and tidy on inside, decorated well. Nice place for families and friends to sit and enjoy mouth-watering beverages.

Good food, drink and service! First time at the Tooting Chaiiwala as have been to East London branches many times. Recommend to go and enjoy the lovely teas and snacks.

Chaiiwala is decorated with numerous vintage filament bulbs hanging gracefully from the ceiling. It’s such a pretty sight to look at, especially from the outside which draws the attention of customers into the cafe, due to its magnificent pops of light that can be seen from the window looking in. The retro/rustic inspired metal chairs are surrounded by large and small wooden tables, perfect for small and large families to sit around comfortably.
They do have a small but simple menu which is very friendly on the pocket meaning you can try loads! I really enjoyed the Chai and was quite pleased with it. I mean, I love tea just generally, so when I tried this I loved it. Chaiiwala is definitely one of the best place in this area to enjoy authentic their indian/Pakistani street food like Karachi Bun Kabab, pav bhaji, paratha roll, aaloo paratha, halwa puri, desi nashta/breakfast and bombay sandwich. Their tea should be on point and it certainly is. Everything is cheap and super affordable. Staff is super friendly and professional.
A. S.
Thanks to the waitress Savera!! She gave me and my boyfriend and all our friends free chai (there were 4 of us) and one slice of cake!! Didn't even charge us a penny. So nice of her. Even left us a cute note. Wonderful customer service ❤️😘
Y. C.
Food and drinks are absolutely outstanding.
The only criticism I have is that if certain things they offer come as extras they are charging for, like onions or tomatoes, they should let you know that each comes with a separate fee as they are offering you these options. The way they do it suggests these are optional and included in the price.

My go to Place for chaii, I’ve tried a lot of different places but this by far has to be my favourite. Chaiiwala is always the top of of the list for tea & snacks. Absolutely love the karak chaii, bun kebab, chicken tikka pastry and the gajar halwa cheesecake. 10/10 The staff are really friendly, Tahira was amazing she was very professional and polite, 100% satisfied from the service she provided. She made sure the food was freshly prepared and tea was nice and warm. Will definitely be coming back!
P. A.
Good for quick bites and an experience of Indian street foods. A range of vegetarian and and non vegetarian options are available. Portions are small but not much expensive.
S. S.
One of the best chaii wala cafe. Fantastic place with great atmosphere. We had All-day breakfast menu, that comes with yummiest daal, egg cheese omelet was awesome, and paratha🔥🔥. If you like Chaii(tea) then you would love this place as they offer many different types of specialised tea. The staff are very polite and generally with a happy smile on their face. Was served by a member of staff named Muzaffar. Would recommend this chaiiwala and will definitely be going back.🙌🏻🙌🏻☺️
H. B.
I always wonder how this staff is serving so quick though the que is till the road...
A very good place to come and remember the glimpse of proper desi HOT chaii.
Came so far only for tea, which is worthy!
food is just yummy and beautiful ambience.
K. A.
Over rated. Tried many times and one complaint is always there tea is cold!! It’s too sweet. No without sugar option which is absurd. 90% of the times short of staff. Waiting is a big issue.
R. A. M.
They really need to enhance crisp in their items, likes fries are soggy as well as papri and samosa in chaat; however rest of the items are v good including gajar halwa, karachi bun kebab and pav bhaji
A. H.
Much needed in Tooting. A refreshing change to the standard cafe to enjoy a quick bite and tea. The Breakfast looks good but haven't tried it yet. Just opened recently so almost impossible to find a table to yourself in the evening.
The karak tea is their signature item and is a must have. The kebab roll is quite good but is just a few bites. The falooda milkshakes are excellent and quite a refreshing change to your average milkshakes
Besides the evening rush, the order took only 5-10 mins.
M.
Friendly and caring staff…especially Sumaira and Sidra…as they have helped out a lot..i am a regular customer and i have never been so satisfied by the service and manners of staff…food is freshly made and the environment is clean 😊
S. B.
My husband and I went one evening and brought their amazing chai! We often have tea at home and love a spicy tea so we checked out chaiiwala. It has authentic taste and smell, great customer service and has beautiful atmosphere. It’s a lovely social place catering for all ages and cultures. Most definitely will be returning! This reminds me of back home! Oh yea not to our desi biscuits and great tasting wraps!!
F. S.
Amazing Karak Chai!! Best ive had! Sandwiches are nice too but the authentic street food items are better. In general a lovely place to have breakfast/coffee
j. k.
Really great Asian street food. Really busy location, need a bigger space. Not enough room to have a private conversation, very crowded
A. G.
Best taste. Variety of tea and coffee with snacks. Authentic Indian taste.
N. P.
The karak chai is amazing - it's sweet and a really nice treat. The iced version is rubbush though! Its not cold enough as they literally just throw ice into hot tea rather than using cooled down tea.
I wouldn't reccomend the food - it's bland and is nothing like Indian street food.
D. S.
The Desi breakfast here is my go to now! Very reasonably priced, friendly staff and yummy karak coffee. Great way to start your day!
M. T. H.
Great place. Very friendly staff. Blown away by the hospitality. I'm visiting from Scotland & the lady behind the counter was so lovely to me. Please pay a visit here
H. P.
great street food, love the egg omelette and Indian sweet toast which is similar to french toast. Masala chai is so good and this is my regular stop in tooting.
S. M.
Me & my friend just finished a 5K run and didn't know where to go for lunch. A friend on Whatsapp recommended Chaiiwala. He mentioned the service had improved considerably since his last visit when it first opened. We were met by Yahya who was very hospitable. The desi fries & omelette breakfast very tasty. I tried the Mango Falooda and really enjoyed it. It wasn't as thick as the falooda's found in Afters or Spice village near by.
Fast service. This branch gets 5 stars ***** from me! Will be returning iA.
S. R.
Good place for old passion chai but meal portion were small
H. B.
Decent experience at this Chaiiwala. Seating was a bit limited but queue time was short. Service from staff was good as they were friendly. Food was just ok, a bit overhyped imo. Didn't take too long to arrive but fell below expectations for us. Veg kebab roll I tried was small but still nice. Chicken naan roll was a bit dry. Masala chips tasty but a bit soggy.
S. A.
This place is so pretty and affordable. I really loved the decoration. The menu is nice too, there’s sweet and savoury options and it’s so reasonably priced. The toilet is clean too. I’d come back and recommend it. Chai was really good and the wraps too. The desserts are unique e.g. gulaab jamun in the middle of a cake, felt too sweet though. But it was still nice. Just didn’t like the fries.
T. Q.
Amazing customer service. I usually go to Southall and Slough branch and they always gives me excellent service. This time I decided to go to Tooting. There was a guy named Muzaffar. I told him that i am a regular customer and this is the first time I came to this branch with very high expectations. He welcomed me very much and made my order super duper yummy. I ordered Karachi bun kebab. One of my friend was with me and she was trying their Bun Kebabs first time. I can’t express how happy i was after eating my food. Credit goes to the team but specially MUZAFFAR who kept me as a regular customer, didn’t broke my trust towards the food lol. Thanks again Chaiiwala
A. I.
Karak chai is great. Always busy even at 10pm, reflection of how popular this joint has become over the last few years
S. M.
It’s cheap and really tasty. I come here often. The only place in South London to get proper karak chai or pink chai.
M. I.
The customer service is great and a good place to sit and chill 👍 love the masala chips absolute fave 😍
S. M.
They serve an alternative menu of Indian food - light snacks, drinks and desserts, making them slightly different from other places. Feels authentic and homely.
E. L. L.
Great customer service: above and beyond expectations. Heavenly Karak Chaii and delicious Street Food for Street Food prices. Fast service also.
R. I.
Amazing teas that are unique and delicious. Food is so good that I have never tasted before. Only thing is that it is so good, the ques can be long at time and can be busy with people so can't hear yourself speak or hear. Highly recommended this place.
K. K.
The chai here is great! I had the desi breakfast with chana, roti and the omelette. These were satisfying but nothing special. Not the best chana or roti but decent as a side if you are hungry. The chai itself was excellent. It's strong, creamy and fragrantly spiced with a good amount of cardamom. It's served piping hot with the right sweetness. Satisfying and comforting for a cold night. I know it's not authentic but they don't have any plant based milks so if you are lactose intolerant be careful. Service was friendly despite how busy it was. Many local Indians/Bangladeshi's/Pakistan's here for their chai. Love the Taj Mahal photo in the background it adds a great vibe.
Recommend the Karak Chai!
V. A.
My favourite place. It would be nice if they made it have an authentic cosy feel. But really nice teas and cakes being served there
A. L.
Asked if there was sugar in the karak chai and I was told there wasn't.
It was sweet, though.....it was made with condensed milk!!
Having said that, the tea was tasty.....and karak, indeed (if also sweet😉)
K. K.
Amazing quick service and friendly staff.
I'd recommend to try the karak chai if you're an aficionado of english breakfast tea.
A. I.
The vibe is soo good at chaiiwala my go to chilling place with my friends and always been served by great people 🙂
E.
Whoever made my halwa puri and channa today, just want to say it’s the best halwa puri I’ve ever had in my life.
j. l.
I come every day here for the tea and sometime I take food frankly speaking the food is great and the tea is fabulous I strongly recommend this restaurant. Cheers
S.
Did was really good. A bit of a wait because the place is very busy.
D. W.
Chicken Tikka in Naan...... Yes! I'll be back for more! Awesome Karak Coffee too.
D. D.
I am not a big fan of tea but this one is so good specially Karak tea & pink tea. My friend never drinks tea & coffee, now she is a fan of this tea. I have also recommended so many of my friends to try & they all love it.
A midnight drive to get this hot, aromatic & flavoursome tea is a little pleasure. Thank you guys :)
D. A. u. w.
Chaii is fantastic! 😀 with Gulab Jamun.
Rest of the menu is not recommended .
U. S.
Nice chai and the kids loved the drinks they had. I wish the food could be better. It’s not freshly made. It doesn’t need to be made to order as it a a cafe shop however just having food that isn’t stale and days old that’s just been microwaved or put in a sandwich toaster would make this place so much better. Would only go back for drinks and not to eat
M. R. P.
Cinnamon tea was awesome ✌️Staff was very polite and friendly
B. S.
Best Karak chaii in London 🌟
Also the Nutella wrap is delicious
S.
Loved it, lovely lighting and the cinnamon tea was delicious. The staff were attentive eg asking if I wanted extra milk. The food looks amazing so I'm keen to go back! Though it got busy later on in the evening and there's not a lot of seating.
S.
I'm a bit of a fan of chaiiwala. There food and drinks is always consistent and from a fast food place that's pretty much all I want.
If it's a bad or good I want it to be consistent. That way if I ever go again its my own fault 😂
The drinks are always consistently good.
Most of the their food menu is good.
Some of their food menu is consistently bad which means it may just be my palate as otherwise surely more people would have complained and they would have removed it from thr menu?
Hopefukly a fair and honest review.
Try their karak chai. It's awesome. Your welcome.
R. M.
Try the gulab jaman cheesecake.. wow!
S. M.
This place is really authentic and brilliant. The chai they serve is very close to the one you can get in the subcontinent. Their desi breakfast is worth the money. It's really healthy. The place also very hygienic and neat. The manager Muzaffar is very friendly and professional.
I. Z.
Quick - easy ! And always a good Karak tea! Love it. A bit too small for us to sit down and have a munch, but always go there for takeouts
J.
Ordered a number of times on Deliveroo and I have to say their food is amazing. I really love their Desi breakfast, I usually get the daal, paratha or roti. Their food is well seasoned, not excessively oily and quite light. The food they produce is consistently good, I should know I have order a fair few times! I really love the Gajar halwa, it is super fragrant and pleasantly sweet, it is especially nice with ice cream. Their pink chai and Karak chai are the best and most authentic I have tasted. Their customer service is great, they are always very accommodating of my allergy requests. Additionally the food is priced exceptionally well - very affordable. All in all 5 stars, pleasure to order from here :)
S. A.
Can't ask for anything better. If you like chaii (Tea) then you would love this place as it comes with good combinations.
I hope if they bring Samosa and Chicken pasties
V. T.
I visited chaiiwala tooting a few weeks ago, first impressions were good. The place was clean the ambience was good it has a welcoming vibe to it. Understandably there were no seats due to COVID however that did not stop the shop from being hectic!. Everything so far was good only complaint was I had to wait with my family for quite some time in line. The server was promptly addressing customers queries in a polite manner and directing customers to wait outside, I felt safe knowing how responsible the shop was handling this pandemic. I got to the till and immediately told the server that this was my first time here and he guided me through the menu helping me and family pick and choose. In the end I had to ask for the servers name (It was Ali, hi Ali!) although our order was somewhat big and there was a huge line he gave us a rough time of when it will arrive and managed to go through with that promise. I have to say that I could hear the staff laughing at the back and it seems like there is genuinely a good vibe going on here and it shows through their tea, food and service!
H. K.
Had the chai latte cinnamon flavor
Loved it
S. K.
Lovely service would definitely recommend! Ordered breakfast this morning it came within a few minutes and was lovely and warm and tasty!!
F. L.
Chaiiwala was ok today...i gave it 3 star based on the samosa chaat it was not as expected...masala chips was nice and the chai ofcourse but not the chaat...i left most of it.
J. S.
It's a nice experience, definitely unique.
E. P.
Delicious food and excellent value. Can't recommend the chai enough! Best I've had outside India.
H. R.
What a gem and what a find! It is vogue to try and do simple Indian / Pakistani street fare... It's hard to do well, and nearly impossible on the same price point. In Karachi for example, you should be able to eat a "bun kebab" and Karak chai every day without having to take out a second mortgage. Chaiiwala not only delivers but exceeds expectations. I was amazed at the fresh deliciousness of my halwa Puri; the Puri's were light, a good size, and the halwa was on point. The halwa was slow cooked, the right amount of sweet and delicately fragranced. The star of the show, was undoubtedly the Karak chai: black tea brewed in milk, sickly sweet, and heavy on the cardamom, cooked nearly to oblivion makes the thick, tea-piquant dessert in a cup with a potent caffeine kick (the "Karak" in the Karak chai). If you let it sit, it forms a film on top from the fat in the full fat milk used to make it, just like the old country. Having drank it in one form or another up and down the length of Pakistan, this would be worthy of a detour in my book. And my entire, traditional, delicacy breakfast cost less than a pair of coffees elsewhere... I can't wait to go back and try everything else!
V. N.
You can often tell the quality of a place by the volume of traffic it receives. EVERYBODY is going to Chaiiwala Tooting! I especially enjoyed the omelette wrap and the chai latte 😋
R. N.
My friends and I, as well as my family, regularly make a detour to this Chaiiwala branch. Their beverages are really irresistible.. I mean you definitely can't go wrong with a classic karak Chai! The other drinks I love are the rose falooda, iced karak coffee and kashmiri (pink) Chai. They also have plenty of street food options such as masala fries and sweet Paratha, as well as some desserts such as gulab jamun cheesecake which is my personal fave. The staff are very friendly and the service is always fast. Love chaiiwala!!
A. L.
Very clean, lovely atmosphere, and nice offering of desserts and savoury dishes. I recommend the chai and the rose Falooda, although the size isn't as big as I'd like, it's delicious stuff
Z. T.
love the tea. It is on point, the atmosphere is brilliant, seating space is limited but they do take aways is well. the staff have there ppe on point. I think I have never had a tasty tea in the uk. the tea will remind you of back home, without a doubt
S. A.
The shop had a bright and welcoming atmosphere. Was a little busy and we didnt get a seat to start off with. When a table become available there wasnt anyone available to clean the tables so didnt feel comfortable sitting due to covid. The hand gel wasnt available. The lady in the till was very helpful and busy with customer orders. The drink and snack we got was great.
p. l. c.
Food is awesome but tea is stunning 😋
B. F.
The tea the food is beautiful
But the best thing about my experience every time I visit is the lady that works there Amina so friendly brilliant customer service always smiling
S. C.
Amazing Karak Chai and wonderful service from Haris Muzafir. The Desi breakfast is so tasty and the sweet bombay toast. Always fast and polite service from the tooting chaiwala team!
Z. C.
Service here was fantastic, Famiida and her colleagues looked after us so well.
The food reminds me of the latest innovations coming out of India. Great taste and a wide variety of options. They do really well at combining Indian food with western concepts. Really worth travelling to check out, we came for breakfast and stayed for lunch 😄.
C. R.
Amazingly tasty Indian street food. The chilli chip butty, bun omelette, halwa poori and gajar halwa are all to die for. It’s very clean inside, the service is quick and efficient and the prices super reasonable!!
S.
Tasty food. Took off a star as the food is sometimes slightly burnt and there's always a long waiting time, often over 15 minutes.
A. k.
Honestly one of the best chaiiwala stores, the staff are very polite and well kept and generally with a happy smile on their face. Id also like to point out that a server by the name of ali always addresses any of my concerns and has top tier customer service putting a smile on customers faces. Such a delight!
F. I.
Overhyped my mum makes better tea, not sure about the gulab jammu cheesecake...I'm not sure what I was expecting...as first time, but definitely expected more...
N. P.
Breakfast delivery from here was a wonderful thing through lockdown. Great value, delicious cooking. For those that are wondering, the ultimate Desi breakfast combination is (and I've tried many of them!): Daal, Tareli Roti, Karak Chaii Sugar Free, Omlette with Tomato, Green Chilli, Cheese.
V. M.
Very nice chai. Good price for value - recommend the karak chai and the pink chai.
f. A.
Love their chaii tea. Perfect recipe. We always find a way to have a take away whenever in London.
A. S.
Came in today in the morning around 12 for a coffee and couldn’t decide what to get, I told the girl on the till what I’m interested in and she kindly recommended some items I was interested in the lotus biscoff wrap and amazed by the name of it as it sounds unbelievable but it was so nice and I can’t wait to come back again to Chaiiwala for it. Thank you for the exceptional service
U. K.
Nice tea but food portions are a bit small. Try the desserts as they are way better than you'd expect! I guess it's designed so you order lots to share. It's a busy place so expect a wait sometimes.
T. G.
I order from Chaiiwala Tooting a few times a week. That’s how much I love their halwa puri and karak chaii. Recently Deliveroo has removed the option for me to order due to a technical error but Tahria has gone above and beyond to make sure I could still order and receive my favourites even offering to deliver it personally. Her customer service is unmatched and she’s so pleasant on the phone. Thank you Tahria!!
N. Y.
Staff at front friendly. Service from kitchen terrible. Took 25 minutes for food to come out of the kitchen. Street food is served faster back home!! The food is overrated. Will be getting a tea on the way out and will see if that lives up to the hype. Will opt for my fave namak Mandi across the road next time.
m. f.
Always well staffed even with over whelming costumers. Their sugar free Karak chai is my favourite . To eat their Karachi's bun kebab Is very tasty .
H. F.
Great value food and a wide selection of drinks to choose from! Everything we ordered was tasty and staff are friendly.
K. R.
Went to tooting tried their traditional tea and breakfast was amazing.
R. D.
Outstanding food, environment, customer service , best quality price and super clean!
Love the concept to have food served onto the Chaiiwala times and love the decoration !
The members of staff especially Famida and the chef Sabiha are particularly polite friendly and extremely professional!
I can’t fault it on ANY level and I am an extremely difficult customer to please on all fronts!
Well done Chaiiwala team!!!!!
I’m eating here today for the first time & I am already a loyal customer !
Maybe a loyalty card could be an idea ?!?
K. S.
Went in for some lunch today was busy however Fahmida still made a point of acknowledging me and letting me know she will be with me soon. Wanted to know some things about the menu she was well informed and friendly. She was pleasant chatty and polite. Good food and great service what more can you ask for. Chaiwala Fahmida is an asset put her in charge of training!!!!!
i.
Pink tea is tasty but Cardomum Tea is average.
Good place to visit with family and friends.
You can sit on Table or take away.
Gulab Jamun are Tasty.
You will get your order on table.
A. C.
Do not be fooled by the small premises, the array of chai options offered is impressive and taste great as well.
They also offer nibbles, but keep an eye on the quite times as it can get quite busy.
H. P.
I’ve been waiting to leave a review. The tea is amazing, if you want that authentic Karak Chaii then this is the place! The food is great, they do a nice Indian breakie. There are some things they need to work on, like waiting times etc etc. Over all, its pretty good. I go there every other evening, for some tea.
N. A.
Went to Tooting chaiiwala and ordered Karachi bun kebab 😋it was amazing 👍 the taste was little different but yummy 🤤 and the presentation 👏👏👏👍
B. B.
Had Karak Chai with cinnamon
Was a bit more expensive than expected but still it tasted VERY nice.
It has a pleasant atmosphere though more seating is needed (Then again it is a small place)
Good place to go after a meal with friends/family.
K. M.
Best tea available in UK and top of that you get Chai ka adds feelings like back home.
Staff is polite. Hygiene is great. Muzaffar and sajjad
H. A.
It's good for coffee, but downside is it's not HMC. I still prefer Leicester chaiiwala.
S. R.
Nice karak chai (spiced tea). Gets quite busy but worth the wait. Good customer service. They also serve food with an eastern and western fusion like the cheesecake s. They were nice but I didn't get a wow factor from them but a good idea nonetheless.
G. T.
Very nice chai.. in tooting area I always love the tea from chai wala... particularly that karak chai😍😍😍
A.
The food here is incredible. It’s a fusion of street food/small plates and South Asian cuisine. I’ve never had anything like it in London but it’s great
There’s always a queue but that’s a good thing, it’s popular in the local community.
Butter chicken roll is my recommendation so far
A. N.
Nice cheap food. Breakfast sorted in weekends
A. D.
Chaii wala tooting is good, always busy and get your stuff quite quickly. Tea is lovely too, great taste. Desserts don't always look that fresh though.
F. S.
Stopped by to get a samosa chaat today! By far the best chaat I have ever had. Young girl Aaliyah served me, got the yogurt, chilli and crunch spot on!
S. D.
I made an order on Deliveroo as I love chai and the menu caught my eye - the iced karak chai and sweet paratha were my favourite items - the butter chicken roll was decent but nothing to really shout about as the filling was a little bit dry. The imli fries arrived soggy, I'm not a fan of soggy fries so that's what took a couple of stars off for me but I know fries can be a bit hit and miss when ordering from home. I would still give this place another shot for the tea and to try other items though.
S. B.
Chaiiwala is one of my favourite places to go to as the workers there are extremely friendly and welcoming not just sometimes but always . I love the coffee and pink chaii there both my favourites and also the lotus wrap 🤤. I would definitely recommend chaiiwala to any chaii lover it’s the perfect place to treat yourself to some karak , mouth watering chaii 👍🏼

Outstanding milky Chai. Best place to get some authentic Indian breakfast too. Really happy that they opened in Tooting. It opened last week. We have already been there twice. Authencity at its best. Definitely try their breakfast deal. I prefer the dal option. Overall very happy with the price as well. Affordable luxury Michelin star quality Indian food in Tooting. 😁 Definitely will be there many more times.
V.
Such a nice and cosy place with lovely food and tea.
One of the best chai’s I’ve tried!!! Highly recommend!!
K. A.
Great food and tea, although I wish there was a way of adjusting the sugar level a bit. Also, would be great if they offered these teas with alternative (non-dairy) milk.
D. H.
I had the all-day desi breakfast for lunch and it was really good. I loved the karak chai too. I had it unsweetened and it was just right for me. It was fairly busy but I didn't have to wait long, so it seems they have solved any slow service problem. Nice decor, can't wait to show my kids the Taj Mahal.
A very welcome addition to this part of Tooting.
F. Y.
Exceptional Experience. Just what Tooting needed, an authentic Chaii stop.
I went in with my friends. It was super busy but we got served our breakfasts pretty quickly.
The desi breakfast is fantastic. We customised our omelettes and the Karak Chaii was 😍
It's very busy but seems to always have a positive vibe and a good energy.
I'd highly recommend this place and cant wait for our next brunch meeting 😊
A. H. B. M.
Excellent Customer Service by Muzaffar .Whenever I have visited Chaiiwala , he has made sure to give the best possible experience with his knowledge on the menu & Chai . Would recommend friends & family to go visit Chaiiwala Tooting , to get that service from Muzaffer.
K. A.
Very good and decent place. Queues may be an issue but hey I guess the place has queues because people love it.
T. M.
Love a good Chaiiwala....and this branch didn’t disappoint! I was served by Yahya who was very welcoming and the karak chai was perfectly made - which makes all the difference. I would definitely recommend trying the breakfast options. Thanks, will be stopping by here again.
K. E.
Lovely service location and Chaii and samosa
C. R.
Amazingly tasty Indian street food. The chilli chip butty, bun omelette, halwa poori and gajar halwa are all to die for. It’s very clean inside, the service is quick and efficient and the prices super reasonable!!
W. R.
Nice ambiance and their Chai is well crafted.
A. C.
Do not be fooled by the small premises, the array of chai options offered is impressive and taste great as well.
They also offer nibbles, but keep an eye on the quite times as it can get quite busy.
S. M.
Slow service but amazing food
N. E. M.
Great place great service
s.
Really cool little joint for a little snack and a cuppa.
V. T.
I visited chaiiwala tooting a few weeks ago, first impressions were good. The place was clean the ambience was good it has a welcoming vibe to it. Understandably there were no seats due to COVID however that did not stop the shop from being …
T. c. D.
Best food and customer service !!!!
P. S.
I'll keep this simple, I've been to almost every chai/tea place so far. This is by far the best.
K. S.
Tried it for the first time , and the food was great. Chai is good as well. Not expensive at all.
a. s.
Nice ambiance and decor....food is good and reasonably priced but parking could be an issue. Kadak chai was amazing so did gajar halwa. Would recommend anyone who is after a nice Indian ilaichi tea.
r. m.
Went to the Tooting Bec branch. Excellent customer service from a very young team. Food is so tasty and well priced. The star of the show is the tea and for me the ghulab jamun cheesecake! Oh my daaayz! Amazing! Maybe the wraps could maybe be bigger possibly, ensure customers that you are recycling everywhere possible. This is important and try and make sure everything on the menu is available. When i went, there was no chana available with the breakfast... please deal with the comment way below by someone who said you use your staff like slaves though. That's worrying.
Anyway, well done guys! Highly recommend!
M. 4.
I always get my tea from Chaiiwala one of the best teas in town and great service, always get served by the lovely Girl, she’s always smiling and very friendly, lovely service from her all the time, had to ask her name to write a review, Hats Of To you Tahira

Brilliant little hang out(coffee shop vibe) ! Loved the Butter chicken wraps with Chilli Paneer and Chilli chips 👍🏽 Very simple menu but so very tasty will definitely be coming back also how could I forget the Karak Chai!
m. a.
Very good customer service. Chai or tea and burgers are always fresh. Only problem is council restricted parkings.
A. R.
The service and quality here is always outstanding!
Absolutely love it!
U. H.
Amazing tea and breakfast..
Superb Ambiance!
Visited with a colleague and we both loved it.
O. J.
Definitely recommend to anyone visiting Tooting - this place not only serves some of the best tea you'll ever taste but also the best South Asian Street food and desserts
M. A.
A bit of a wait for the tea but well worth it in the end. I mean it was expected as the place was so busy which is a great sign. Once they sort out a faster service this place will absolutely rake it in. We went on a Tuesday night and it was late yet the place was full of people and a queue was constant!
A. D.
A nostalgia I have not felt in very long came with this place. Reminding me of the street food I used to eat as a kid was the flavour of the food and the immitation news paper it was served on. The memory of the good food that street vendours used to serve outside schools, handing it in newspaper dishes, brought in itself a wonderful joy when you tuck into the warm food they have on offer...all without the extra greese and dyes from actual news paper that came in the authentic road side vendour cuisine!!
A. S.
Great place, friendly staff.
A. N.
Karak chai is the best I have ever had. Good ambience and fast service. A must eat. Try the butter chicken roll too.
Z. F.
Excellent service - the Mango falooda is delicious, must try!
C. V.

H. A.
The tea here is pretty good and reasonably priced, staff is friendly enough as well, I'd go back with some friends for sure but it's not the type of place you'd want to sit for a prolonged period of time.
B. S.
Good customer service by Karthik.
M. K.
Love their pink tea...rest of the menu is so so...but love their ambience
F. A.
The ambiance was good and service.. food was average.
M. P.
Exceptional service. The tea was piping hot, they even asked if we take sugar which was good as some people in the group dont. The food is great too, everything was on point Masha'Allah.
T. K.
Really our time here. Our server was so nice very accommodating and always smiling
S. K.

K. V.
Really nice food, and nice staff. I definitely recommend if you like Indian food. I love it
S. L.
Karak chai was nice but is sweet. Sweet roti is also very sweet. Maybe I just dont have a sweet tooth. The keema roti wasn't that great but prices are decent
R. K.
The bun kebab and chai were awesome. But the chicken in the malai both was dry
E. F.
Rose ice cream with a gulaa jaaman cheesecake. Both average at best. Kashmiri tea was good. Nice simple setting for a quick chai n go.
A. A.
Masala chips were cold and hard but desi breakfast was nice and tea is always nice as usual
A.

I. N.
Had a very tasty desi breakfast. Service was quick and friendly. Great karak chai with saffron. Will definitely be going again.
A. D.
Good milky chai and coffee, breakfast at reasonable prices although portions are a bit small. Though this the food is good value. Gets busy on weekends afternoons!
A. Z.
Great vibe, friendly staff and delicious food. What more could you ask for?
I would recommend their Desi Breakfast with paratha, daal and Chai. A great way to start the day.
K. A.
Food overall good but the sizes of everything is small as kids size wouldn't be a fuel for an adult sadly.
S. A.
Good clean place service a little bit slow food is ok but i think a little expensive for what it is EXAMPLE chicken tika sandwich no taste of chicken at all just the taste of marinated spices ALSO their limo pani (LEMON WATER) hardly taste of lemon costs £2.00 for a small cup you can buy sainsbury's lemon flavour spring water for less than 50p for 500ml which tastes much better although there tea is very good you should try their KARAK COFFEE which is quite good
A. A.
Didn’t like samosa Plate but Kashmiri Tea was really tasty.
S. P.
The most delicious Karan Chai. Amazing service and also quickly served too. The tea is literally 5 stars+
N. Z.

G. z. R.

M. O. S.
The Karak chai was good and much awaited in the area.. but that’s about it.. the rest of the stuff we tried was quite ordinary and expensive.. recommend if you are a chai fan only!

D. A.
Service needs to get better, whenever I have a big order there is always something missing. 5 star for the food but 3 for the service.
P. S.
I'll keep this simple, I've been to almost every chai/tea place so far. This is by far the best.
