Reviews of Coffee Island
S. T. (.
Great choice of coffee and great service.
The staff is really friendly and helpful.
Cosy place, we spent an hour or so here and it was very enjoyable.
Will defo return again!
T. F.
Great place if you love coffee a lot of variety you can select your beans and brew your drink!
F. A.
An excellent place to have coffee. They have different sorts of coffee beans.
T. W.
Wonderful artisanal coffee. The latte was delicious and came in a big takeaway cup and worth the price. The pastries were nice too! I liked the Spinach and Feta one.
P. T.
My favourite Greek coffee shop, the latte is always delicious and the staff friendly 💜💜💜💜💜
G. L.
I went to the cafe in Christmas time :)
Good music, good vibe and great coffee.
They have two floor. So was busy but was fine.
I ordered HUGE cream coffee. That wasn’t my type. But my friend was enjoying.
Next time I will bring laptop for work!
A. C.
You will always get a great coffee here! They also make an amazing Greek style coffee, prepared in a sandbox to get it as authentic as possible! Great seating and plug access makes it perfect for settling into a session on the laptop
N. L.
A solid third wave coffee shop, with ample seating, and a nice selection of quick food options. We tried two roasts brewed with an aeropress. The Indonesian might have been slightly over extracted, but the Rwandan was very nice. This shop is a great find for those wanting a good cup of coffee.
J. J.
Very busy, friendly staff but not very accessible when inside.
This seems to be a ‘go to’ place as was very busy on footfall.
Its not the cheapest but again I have seen more expensive. Drinks were average and nothing special.
The decor is similar a warehouse type set up with a spiral staircase.
I am a wheelchair user and managed to get in and order but its quite tough to get access to a table. It was manageable but that was probably as the clientele didn’t mind keep moving for me to get access.
I would say this is partly because the interior is limited in space and because of the success of the place.
I cant knock it really as I have been in worse places and think a coffee lover would enjoy the specials which on our visit was an Argentinian coffee (We didn’t try).
L. P.
Awesome place to have most delicious coffee in Central London! Different brewing methods on the menu also variety of beans to select from! Greek coffee available prepared in traditional way: on sand! Coffee Island: please, open more shops in London! :)x
Z.
Excellent coffee, love the vibe of the cafe throughout both floors - just a shame that staff aren't very cheerful or friendly. A lovely space to stop at or work in, would recommend.

Hello! It was so delicious :-)
I ordered two iced-Americanos and
Maybe, It was the greatest coffee that i drunk in London for 3 weeks.
If i come here once again, i must go Coffee Island one more time.
Thank you for your wonderful drinks&fantastic service.
V. C. (.
Great laptop cafe with two floors and multiple outlets. Let’s be real. Coffee is great and so is the service. WiFi is listed on the checkout line and they roast in house. Loving the Central American and African origins of the beans! Not too packed at lunch somehow
R.
A good cafe in Soho/Seven dials London. Always full of people.
S. H.
The quality of the coffee is good but they lack the skills of making it. Both their flat white and cappuccino lacked the coffee flavour and instead were milky and light; a disgrace to the name- Coffee Island.
Sandwiches are terrible with very little content- you are eating bread basically.
The deserts are good.
C. S.
Had an amazing mocha here! It was soo creamy and silky and chocolate-y without being too heavy or too sweet, and a good sized cup as well. The cafe had a mezzanine floor where most people are working away at their computers. So great conducive space for work as well as for meetups on the bottoms floor.
J. B.
I like the place so much I love design , music and Location . Coffee si amazing , very tasty !!! But today I wanted to buy and try some cakes but when I saw small flies on cakes( cake was covered) I changed my mind , never mind and staff ? They are only people it is very hard smiling 8 hours 5 days a week but they are polite ...
I will come back again ...

Coffee island is a popular chain from Greece making it all the way to London.
They serve a great variety of coffee blends from all around the world which all can be made with soy or oat milk.
The coffee is amazing and delicious. They also offer a range of cakes and snacks perfect for a quick and light bite.
The place has a nice ambience and atmosphere with Free WiFi.
s. l.
Nice third wave coffee shop, selection of different blends of coffee, prices reasonable. Seating could be a little bit more comfortable, staff very helpful and friendly.
h. d. s.
Friendly staff, nice atmosphere and great music, the brownie (wheat free) was really really tasty, the coffee was good, would be nice if they had coldbrew coffee you could maybe preorder and collect :)
Z. S.
Great and unusual little coffee place. I absolutely loved the decor and little benches. They also have a little library if you want to read while you have your coffee. They have some different coffee beans infused with things like hazlenut etc if you want to try something different. They also have milk alternatives if you can't have dairy. Oh and their chocolate and raspberry tart is divine!
Really enjoyed it here!
Y. S.
Just had to visit this after our trip to Crete. Coffee island really was our morning stop for breakfast everyday of our week stay. From the friendly service to the excellent coffee ... Didn't take long for them to remember our order. The hersonisoss branch was our main stop but we also visit the heraklio branch which was just as good.
This london branch brought back the memories... Maybe wasn't as good but is up against significant more competition so we weren't too suprised. Retains everything we loved about coffee island in Crete ... Maybe apart from the sun and beach.
O. S.
Nice coffee spot with various bean selections including decaf for filter brewing which is hard to find. You can buy the beans in amounts you like.
E. C.
Lovely cafe, great location. Came on a busy Saturday afternoon but we were lucky enough to get a table. Very good coffee, food good too, tried the jam and cheese croissant, and piece of carrot cake.
S. A.
One of the best coffee shops I've been to in my entire life:
They offer a wide range of coffee beans and coffee making methods. The beans themselves are of very good quality and have there own distinctive characteristics, which is quite rare to find in even some of the best coffee shops. In addition, the service was generally good (considering how chaotic lunch time is in London) and every cup I ordered was consistently the same. With regards to prices, they are a little higher than standard, but then again you do get a pre-eminent product.
C. D.
First: they are open! (For takeaway). Friendly staff, centrally located, and spacious (for when they can reopen). Delicious flat white (food available but I didn’t try yet).
C. Y. F. H. /. O. A.
I love their coffee and the atmosphere, I can sit there all afternoon, just work and read, spend sometime with myself there! ***It would be nice if they also serve water at second floor!
D. M.
Great coffee beans, quality and taste but unable to make a good flat white with the texture expected.
j. b.
Despite the self-aggrandising hyperbole and an indifferent generic 'corporate' interior, this Grecian based chain ups the ante in this its first London outlet.
Grappling with a gamut of coffee-making techniques, a selection of exclusive roasts and a formidable battery of equipment; they bristle with intent.
Staff primed, purposeful and on point in their matching harnessed aprons. Smiles abound, all around.
On repeated visits I found the coffee here flavoursome, aromatic and reasonably priced.
The 'lite bite' selection adequate but inconsequential.
A welcome addition to the high street, vastly extending the consumers' choice, experience and expectations.
Bound to ruffle some feathers.
M. E.
I loved the atmosphere there. The place is super nice and the staff is friendly. You can meet and chat with friends over coffee in the ground floor, or do a meeting, work or study in the upper floor. The menu is diverse for a cafe. I tried their coffee and lemon cake; it tastes amazing. I also had Exotic Harmony; one of their summer cold beverage. You have to try it! Btw, they provide Wifi which is a bonus! (:
T. K.
A nice place to have a tasteful coffee from a Greek popular chain shop in the heart of City, London. This brand is well established in Greece and one of our favourite coffee shops in the market.
E. S.
This is a place that takes excellence seriously when it comes to their coffee. I had a delightful Maasai Kenya V60. In terms of seating, there’s an upstairs loft with plenty of power sockets if you’re looking to get work done, in addition to seating on the ground floor if you want to be closer to the satisfying sounds of coffee beans being poured.
G. B.
Coffee and food more expensive than other coffee places but the coffee was good. Hoped for a coffee and pastry breakfast deal but they don't offer this. Coffee products for sale in store which is a nice touch. Minimalistic, contemporary style. Enjoyable retro background music. Probably better places for food but an alright coffee on the go if you're in the area.
B. A.
Best cup of coffee I had in London! Ordered the Congo cortado. They also have amazing espresso mascarpone cake (recipe from Greece). Highly recommended!
M. S.
If you are coffee expert, they can find a lot of different taste and flavor. Also their bakery and cake menu are very rich. Atmosphere is very rustic and fresh.
M. L.
In the early morning, during lunch time, and even in the late evening, Coffee Island is a place to enjoy delicious coffees with toast and bagels. Coffees here are served in gorgeous mugs. If you do not like coffee, do try out their hot cocoa.
A. D.
I really liked there cafe,, the atmosphere is nice!! There coffee is perfect, its the way I like. Its hard to find same in london! They use different kind of coffee beans and you can choose. They are very friendly with their customers. After serving they will come back to ask you how was your coffee and do you need anything to serve ... etc.
There is a lady works there, she is veeeeeeery welcoming, humble, smiling and nice to peolpe.
At first when I entered the coffee shop my son was not happy he was asking me for a chocolate that time. I wasn't sure what to give him. I was telling him to wait. When that kind lady heard us she gave him brownies bites to try and he was so happy after it...💕
M. O.
Exquisite tasting coffee. Everything you need from an artisan coffee shop with ability to pick your beans to grind from a good range.
C. H.
such a cute little coffee shop! the selection of coffees they had were amazing and the selection of food was really interesting and varied! (the cookie was also incredible)
R. C.
Really lovely staff and importantly a great selection of coffee. Freshly ground, made in the style you want, and crafted with care. Also a nice place to sit.
C. G.
The drinks only come in card takeaway cups, which is disappointing and does not match with the pictures.
The coffee itself was nice though.
P. G.
One of the best oat mocha, and staff were so nice to offer me a free coffee as I forgot to mention I wanted the oat one. Quiet spot with plenty of seats available both in & outdoors.
Y. L.
Coffee and lemon pound cake was perfect and the staff was really friendly. I visited aftr lunch but there were no tables availabld so I got there before noon. Recommend this place to coffee lovers.
N. P.
Really good specialty coffee. I was especially impressed by the many preparation methods offered. This is a place to visit when you’re not in a hurry but really want to slowly enjoy an amazing coffee. Expensive but worth the money. You are able to choose the beans for your coffee and the staff is more than happy to recommend something based on your preferred flavor profile. I highly recommend this place!
A. C.
One of the best places to buy light medium roast coffee for home, and the filter coffee brew of the day is the best priced in london and tastiest. Wobbly tables let the place down...spilling coffee
S. H.
I had a lovely Flat white and a piece of millionaires shortbread. Service is good and there’s a decent amount of space to sit and cool decor. There’s even some outside seats too. Thoroughly recommend this place.
J. K.
My favorite place to have a coffee ~
J. G.
Mountain tea was nice, but coffee (made with syphon) was terrible.
Seems like a good place to work, but coffee is a deal breaker for me.
K. R.
Four visits later, I am still rather happy with both the coffee and the service. Their Flat White is probably my favourite in London so far (maybe beaten only by Monmouth one, but I'm not exactly sure). Great place to catch up with friends or work on your laptop with fellow Laptop Warriors.
C. “. L.
Lots of Greek people, in this Greek coffee chain, with what is probably one of the best cappuccino in town. Also lots of Greek unprofessionalism.
J. A.
Brightly lit, lots of seating, reasonable prices and very tasty coffee. Suitable for working. It does get a bit noisy though.
R. C.
Nice enough coffee shop in a good central location, the coffee itself was good but it was annoying to see staff not wearing masks within the island serving space or on the shop floor. They put a face visor on while serving me but that's not enough imo! Wouldn't want to revisit until after the pandemic if they're not following basic COVID protocols.
t. k.
Nice and fresh in coffee. Nice service too.
B. B.
Awesome food. Best cafe ever visit. Price of everything is reasonable. and environment was good and ever thing was upto marks best place to visit. services was great.
M. B.
Lovely flat white with coconut milk. Served in takeaway cups. Couldn't find the bin easy though.
I went for Rwanda blend. Proper coffee place. Staff friendly nice and quiet in there too, socially distancing observed and staff wear masks and perspex. Bathroom needs a bit of updating there is only one. It was clean however the lock doesn't work so you have to sing while you are pooping.
M. N.
Good coffee and amazing hot chocolate, the doughies are huge.
E. F.
Good brownie. 100% recommend :)
A. A. g.
Lovely place, delicious coffee, banana cake was amazing, I would recommend everyone to visit it .
L. M.
Decent coffee, but if you want to taste it add an additional shot. Follows the current trend of the sweeter coffee especially with almond milk. Nice place, good location, staff a little too serious and not cheap. However compared to the endless franchise coffee shops in the West End you can do a lot worse.
N. A.
Cool place to chill, and have a good black coffee.
D. A.
Good place to spend your time with friends & family, good coffee.
L. W.
Good coffee, and enormous croissant, fab for a pit stop
i.
Pretty good coffee and a lovely atmosphere. There's WiFi, plenty of seating, and a few plug sockets making it a great place to come and get some work done with your laptop. Took off one star because there are no vegan options for food! They do have soy, almond, and oat milk for the drinks.
C. Y.
Great place to study/work over a cuppa in Covent Garden. Staff are very friendly and music just fits my taste!
H. A.
If you are specific about your coffee, go here. If your are confused about your coffee, go here. If you feel you want to try something new, go here. For anything about coffee, go here. Wonderful n well read staff to help you pick your kind of coffee and enjoy. Best of the flavour, varied grinds and roasts available, preparations are also available in different styles. Also, you can buy some coffee for home!
J. H.
I really love the coffee and the ambiance!!!
E. T.
we come here very often, friendly service, delicious filter coffee and great selection of beans for filter and siphon
R. R.
Excellent coffee and lovely service!
G. S.
Interesting take on a coffee shop, they roast and sell beans and encourage you to create your own blends. It's expensive but it's tourist central London so overheads will be higher than out of town. The coffee is excellent so if you feel like a treat head there a d try for yourself.
F. F.
Good place to hang out and enjoy a properly crafted coffee + various nibbles to keep you happy
M. F.
Best coffee in London...they are professional and know about coffee and it's making!
C. P.
Amazing coffee, very good quality and lot of choice. I adore their chocolate and hazelnut coffee it is spot on. Customer service is friendly and professional. I highly recommend it.
s. r.
We stopped here for a quick drink after failing to find any independent coffee shops in the surrounding area. What a great find! Certainly a place to visit if you love coffee and don't mind paying for it too... my only criticism would be the toilets. Sounds picky but it had signs saying you couldn't flush anything and the sink outside didn't have a dryer either, just a very damp roll of paper...
B. H.
Fantastic coffee shop. Great for people who need to get work done or want to have a chat with their friends over a great cup of coffee.
A. D.
My mum and I come here regularly to have the best Greek coffee in town! Overall, a great place with minimalistic design, but an excellent choice of coffee, tea and treats! Would recommend to anyone to try the Greek Coffee prepared over hot sand or an ice capuccino.
D. C.
Great coffee nice place to hang out. A previous review mentioned unclean toilets..all was very clean and well supplied. Friendly and decent selection of pastries. You can mix and brew your own coffee blends. Just not the absolute best cappuccino but as I said, very good.
m. a.
Coffee at it best.if you want to try quality coffee made with passion try Coffee island near Leicester Square avoid chains they are like chain.
J. W.
The best coffee shop in this area of London.
A. P.
Although I ain't a massive fan of coffee they do make some tasty drinks and that feta pastry is fantastic!
H. S.
Not bad. But I think staff attitude can be better
A. C.
A V60-made coffee. Allows you to buy beans by the 100gms.
P. C.
Nice place for relaxing & enjoying cappuccino in Soho! Also, they offer free wifi.
N. S.
Fantastic coffee and amazing food. Loved the open space to relax and focus on work whilst in a great atmosphere. Also the team were constantly making sure customers were looked after. Well done 👍
A. P.
☕️ Tasty coffee
📋 Lots of options for cold and hot cups
👩🏻💼 Friendly staff
🔥 Fancy interior design
T. S.
A must for coffee lovers wide range of beans also available for purchase. Skilled and efficient team keep a clean station making quality coffee. Calm atmosphere with light indie hits as background perfect for casual meetings or social gatherings. Plenty of seating including sheltered outdoor seating. This stones throw cafe from the station is a perfect meeting point. In short, damn fine coffee.
T. S.
The coffee itself was really lovely - if definitely come here again but would order my drink to takeaway.
The reason I have given 3 stars is because where we were sitting in the cafe was so unbearably hot. We ended up leaving before finishing our coffees (despite how good they were) because of the temperature and how uncomfortable we felt. I don't know if this is a regular thing or just a problem on the day we visited - hopefully the latter.
Anyway, the coffee was great and if you're able to get a seat outside I'm sure it would be much more comfortable on a warm day.
m. a.
Of course the coffee is absolutely fantastic, my friend also tried a Mocha which was far away the best we'd ever tried. The staff are very friendly and were informative and helpful.
The menu is broad and easy to read with the staff ready to give advice. It's also a wonderful place to sit.
V. I.
The coffee and staff here are always brilliant but the place is small and the internet is one of the slowest in the world. This is the only coffee island in London and it would need a better connection to make people stay and come back. Regardless I buy the coffee for my Bialetti machine from here every time. The micro-farm selections is the best I've ever seen.
F. C.
Amazing tastes
best coffee
bread is nice and greek coffee also awesome
B. M.
Great for whole beans for at home. Usually have lovely fruity flavours, more adventurous than Monmouth
C. M.
Such a nice coffee shop! Coffee a little pricy but worth it, lots of food options although I didn’t try them they looked tasty. I sat here for a couple of hours working and was very happy! Staff friendly and coffee tasty ☺️
R. G.
Found this place after doing some "internetting" while walking around Covent Gardens. There are plenty of cafes in the area but we wanted somewhere special and boy did this place not disappoint.
Nice decor, lovely staff and a huge range of coffee beans (and cakes!) - I went for the house espresso blend in a flat white. The coffee was chocolatey with a hint of plum (sweet and not the sour plum you would normally find) - absolutely bags of flavour would definitely recommend.
The other half went for a "Signature" Hot Chocolate and she absolutely loved it - I took a sip and it was that exotic spicy taste as opposed to the normal "50 grams of sugar" kind. Fantastic.
C. N.
Hot space and very mediocre drinks. Good thing is there's plenty of seats.
J. M.
Excellent coffee and delicious desserts.
M. A.
Great delicious coffee, soecial blends!! Great location in london, we always come back.great tea optons also. The stuff is helpfull and nice. Great veriely of pastrys, cakes and lovely thing. Nicr to seat and drink and also to work in!
W. W.
Good café. The coffee and pastries are really good but the service is just okay. It is also almost always very busy because it is one of the few cafés that are open late in central London. (Besides Starbucks and Costa)
D. M.
This is a nice Greek coffee shop where I enjoy the time being there by drinking a very good freddo cappuccino. Now lately I've found out that the Starbucks are making something the same with the only difference at Coffee island they ask you how you drink your coffee , ( no sugar, medium sugar or sweet) and this it counts a lot because you don't have to mess up coffee and milk so this way your coffee remains intact and makes a difference.
A. L.
Loud shop, but it's popular for a reason! The coffee here is some of the best I've had in London. Staff are friendly and there's a lot of seating. Get here during off-peak hours if you're traveling with a group. Would definitely come back :)
R. D.
Nice and clean coffee shop .
Inside the air condition was to cold outside they have very little space so if you are a smoker you need to wait a little bit to find a table .
Coffee was quite good the only issue was that I asked for free to cappuccino medium and they puth too much sugar .it's was definitely sweet .
The baristas very very polite and with a big smile on their faces something that I really appreciate .
H. S.
Came here for a coffee and a cake, coffee was very nice (oat milk late), highly recommended. Cant say the same about The blueberry cake which was quite dry. Great find in central london on a sunday for a quick break and pick me up. Very busy but nice layout.
A.
Coffee prepared in your chosen way, with your chosen origin / blend. Oh, and teas / matcha / hot chocolate too. Vibrant place, not a quiet one, but great for a quick chit chat. Lovely staff, very knowledgeable... not the average baristas!
C. R.
It was great to be able to enjoy iced coffee like in Greece since we can't get anything similar anywhere else. Staff is very friendly and if you are Greek it will surely make you feel like you're not in London, even for a brief moment. Will be visiting again before we depart from London and when we come back! Highly recommend it!
H. B.
Ive been coming here for 3 years now, for leisure and studies; for which I've spent 8 hours at a time perched upstairs working away. The atmosphere is the best I've found in london, perfect for a casual hang out or intense work session. The staff are very friendly and for me, serve the best coffee in london.
S. M.
These guys serve, hands down the best coffee ever. They are situated just opposite of Dishoom.
They serve blended coffees and it's just out of this world.
The staff are friendly and helpful. They explained about their history and how they came to be. They explained how they get coffee beans, how they get them grown specifically for this and also spoke about the blends that they do to make a drink.
The place is also super cozy and like all respectable coffee shops, they also give you free WiFi.
If you are in London, this is the place for coffee.
P. S. - You can also buy coffee beans from here.
R. J.
One of the best V60 coffees I've ever tasted. I also loved the small info sheets they gave about every bean (general info + tasting profile). I would recommend to get two V60 coffees with different single estate beans for full tasting experience.
M. T.
Good coffee and cake but a little pricey!
R. M.
Was ok, expected a little more. If a place wants to market itself with single source micro roasted coffee then it needs to deliver on that. Coffee taste was not noteworthy and the preparation likewise was sloppy, with an under-constructed flat white. My pastry was also chewy and not fresh.
O. G.
Really nice coffee (a little punchier than you might get at other places in London). Speedy and friendly service. The place has an industrial (poured concrete etc.) vibe, only downside is the weird plastic plants in the lavatory - covered in dust. Just get rid!
A. A.
Perfect coffee, Nice staff, cozy place.. Recommended
G.
Pictures of the Iced Espressone Praline were missing until my visit. The best iced mocha in London. If you’ve liked Starbucks’ so far you’ll definitely change your mind and this one is going to be the next best thing to beat. Love it and always come back here.
L. L.
High standard of specialty coffee:) never disappoint me :)
m.
I needed a coffee and came upon Coffee Island by chance. Good coffee served by excellent staff. The apple pie is delicious but a dollop of fresh cream would put the icing on the cake, so to speak.
H. J.
Love this little coffee shop! Been a couple of times now. Lovely Greek coffee ☕
p. t.
What a great coffee shop, open relaxed and supper friendly and knowledgeable staff. O ye the coffee is pretty fine. I recommend the filter if you have a little time to pass, as it made fresh and on an individual basis. You can choose what coffee you would like to drink.
M. W.
Love the variety of coffee preparation options on offer here, from your typical espresso-based coffee to chemex and aeropress. Many speciality cafes don't offer the latter methods as they take a while to make, so it's nice to see that commitment. They also offer cold and iced coffee options too. It is a great space to just sit and enjoy your surroundings. They also sell a wide variety of coffee-making tools and accessories.
A. Y.
Good find in West End! Not too crowded for pre theatre snacking and good choices of drinks
L. D.
Try the Turkish coffee! Wish they would've told me HOW to drink it, there's a large sludge of grounds at the bottom that I wasn't aware of until it was too late. But the coffee was great and the people were happy to share their passion. The front display was really interesting as well
M. O.
Really nice atmosphere and various coffee choices.
r. m.
Best coffee in town hands down
a. g.
Great vibes, great coffee, lovely place to meet at or work from!
R. A.
My favourite coffee shop in London! Food is Good but coffee is great, and good tray bakes. Good atmosphere to read or work with background music.
G. T.
The staff is always friendly, the coffee always good, and there's wifi! Lovely seating area upstairs too. Couldn't ask for more, hence why I'm there every week!
S. J.
Great selection of coffees, need advise though as the options are bewildering! The double strength Greek coffee was the best, the microbrewery option from Salvador was too weak as filter coffee tbh... Good place for a meeting though, good WiFi too
L. W.
This place is a bit overpriced. Nevertheless, the environment (especially the upstairs loft) is perfect for studying. I haven't tried the coffee, but the chai latte was good. I would recommend steering clear of the Christmas latte.
F. A.
Great coffee shop serving speciality coffee.
C. C.
Greek coffee shop... Quality coffee and really nice freddo cappuccino (let's face it english coffee shops they don't know how to make a proper one)..if you're hungry you have many options to fullfil your hunger... Next to leicester square....
N. C.
I visited the cafe on a Saturday. There are many tables available and that's definitely a plus in Covent Garden especially.
The problem is not really the quality of products but the waiting time.
I waited 15 minutes in the queue with only 2 people in front of me. There is only one till and 3 baristas. The person at the counter is also half a barista so the waiting time is extended.
There were flies on the food and probably it won't be a bad idea to cover the cakes they have on display
M. S.
The best coffee shop for Greeks in London. There is fredo as well just in case you don't know where to find your favourite coffee out of our beloved country. Strongly recommended!
Z. v.
Had a lovely time here with a friend of mine, relaxed non pushy service and I spent more as I was asked if I liked my coffee in an honest way. The manager ( i asumme as was the only one not in a uniform) was so kind I ended up leaving with half a kilo of beans when I only came in for a flat white. Nice place and great people highly recommended I'll be back!!!
H. B.
This is the coffee shop of a Greek coffee roaster and as such has an excellent range of coffee beans and an even wider array of methods — siphon, chemex, aeropress, V60, filter and espresso! The pastries and cakes are also very nice. To top it all, they sell all their coffee in bags as whole bean. Highly recommended.
J. F.
Perfect wobbly froth! I'd add a video, but don't know how. Really nice staff and great flat white. Nice mild coffee which I usually don't like, but this one is excellent. I'd come back again and maybe even make this place a regular hangout. Seems very relaxed and quite calm even though it's very much Central London.
D. M.
Amazing! One of the best. Great coffee, friendly staff. Food was super too. Extremely knowledgeable, with a fantastic range of beans to buy. Also has baby changing facilities, so a huge plus point for me.
P. L.
Great coffee Greek style ;-) I highly recommend people to try the Greek yogurt with fresh fruit and honey! Friendly staff and relaxed atmosphere. Whenever I go to London I make sure to stop there :-)
M. K.
Nice coffee 😋 must try freddo~
W. H.
Very nice carrot cake with good coffee - flat white
k. f.
These guys are serious about their coffee. The location is good (top of St. Martin's Lane). Don't be in a hurry. Service is not quick. Prices aren't cheap. Vibe is relaxed. Food ok.
P.
The place was crowded, and the few tables available were full of used cups. I know how informal is the place, but they could have a printed menu. When I asked about the coffee options in the cashier, she just showed me the menu in the wall.
W. Y.
Breath taking coffee and service to match. Even during a busy period the staff talked us through different varieties of coffee and brewing methods. Hands down one of the best places for coffee in London! Will defo be back!
E. H.
Only place that does a proper cappucino freddo. Flavoured coffee grinds also top notch!
C. W.
Great for coffee and friendly service but also my favourite place for hot chocolate - the frothiest I've come across so far and good balance of chocolate flavour (not too milky like elsewhere) - absolutely love it!
G. B.
Super friendly service and very fancy coffee machine. Even though it was in the evening we tried their coffee and it was so good I had to buy a bag to take home. I went for an Ethiopian coffee and even my friends complimented on the coffee the other day.
L. M.
I like this café, have been there many times recently. Coffee is nice, big selection of pastry, cakes, toasty, etc. Friendly staff, plenty of plugs, and they are open until 9pm which is useful as the most of independent coffee shops closed early.
M. T.
Really great cafe especially for business meetings.
Friendly staff and very helpful. Only comment is, I wish they would book tables. If you want to have a meeting in there but can't get a table its a nightmare but other than that, it is great.
J. R.
Very good coffee, they really pay attention to detail. Needs decorating, I'm sure that's coming. Spinach and feta pie was excellent.
E.
Coffee is good, WiFi is fast, lots of spaces but usually packed.
S. M.
Nice new coffee spot in Covent Garden which is welcoming and unpretentious. The salads and baked goods on offer look delicious, and there are interesting coffees to try plus lots of coffee paraphernalia to buy. Staff are friendly :)
ف. ا.
In my opinion it’s the best specialty cafe in London
X. S.
竟然有不苦澀的咖啡!
Mind-blowing flavor. Ordered its cappuccino. Tasted so smooth. Reminded me of a warm hug in the Swedish winter time.
C. C.
Great place to study or relax with plenty of seating. Love that they’re open late. Free wifi and the fact that you don’t feel pressured to leave or give up your seat. The banana and walnut cake is yummy too.
D. H.
Best Hot Chocolate in UK!! None of this powdered rubbish.
h. c.
It was a lovely surprise to find out that the first coffee island opened in London... the staff are very friendly and helpful and the place looks very good like the coffee islands in Greece ,
However although the coffee tastes superb the measures of coffee are smaller than any other coffee island I have been to,
also some of the menu from coffee island is missing and a few are similar but not the same,
this is very disappointing considering every other coffee island has the same drinks and makes them the same measures with ice coffee milk, foam etc....
I really hope that the coffee island in London mirrors all of the other coffee islands menu very soon .
It is such a shame because everything else is perfect and it would cost nothing to match the way the drinks are made and measures,
I. P.
Really awesome coffee. You can choose your coffee and the way it is brewed. And the staff are super friendly and give great recommendations.
Also, awesome brownies. And great prices!
I. S.
My go-to place in Covent Garden for a quick bite and coffee. Lovely, spacious cafè in a great location.
R. J.
Quite regular at this place, excellent coffee and tea, staffs are very sweet and friendly, immersed for whole summer and finished my dissertation here, am really grateful and will keep visiting.
PS: wish you have more vegan desserts;)
C. C.
Great little coffee shop near 7 dials with WiFi and seating. Typical espresso drinks of course but try one of their single source roasts in a chemex or aeropress for something different.
V. C.
Very nice place, nicely decorated and very friendly staff. Definitely the best coffee in town, would definitely recommend. Good for A quick coffee break or even for lunch break as has food too.
M. D.
Probably the best cold capuccino in central London. No joke. This place is run by Greeks and they know their frozen coffee. Order a "medium freddo". Trust.
G. P.
Lovely coffee, can find your freddo espresso or cappuccino which if you are a Greek living in London you know is not easy. Service is fast, there is indoor and outdoor seating and of course you can take away!
A. R. F.
Really good coffee, and pastries too! Tried the Congo guest coffee (Blue Mountain) and it was amazing (cappuccino and espresso combo). Definitely a place to go back to many times!
F. T.
Great spot for coffee. Pick your own blend. They support growers in El Salvador etc. very knowledgeable about their brands. Sampled 2 different blends with the Pacamara hitting the spot.
P. Š.
Naprosto skvela obsluha, uzasna kava, susenky a skvele caje.... K tomu vsemu velmi mila obsluha a super prostredi :) Nesmim zapomenout ani na uzasne bagetky, salaty a zakusky vseho druhu. Čaje jsme si nakoupili i domu...
Friendly and smiling staff, famous coffee, cookies and great tea... Delicious baguetes, sallads and many sweet pies and etc... I can only recomand. It is best cafeteria in London.
J. O.
I visited this coffee place recently because I was told it’s Greek coffee chain and they make awesome coffee.
I loved this place because is next to Covent Garden facing the famous Dishoom and they good quality coffee in the traditional way.
I would definitely go back again!
A. S.
Good quality coffee ! Highly recommend to try Freddo espresso!
D. G.
Coffee Island is a chain of coffee shops from Greece.
The Greek cold coffee drinks like Freddo Espresso or Cappuccino are great! So it is great to be able and enjoy them in the UK.
j.
very good!!バナナマフィンとっても美味しかった✨
G.
Its pretty good place to hang out with friends. Good coffee, nice ambiance. But the only problem is you cant get rid of the smoke from smokers who sit outside. Thats really annoying. Apart from that its fine.
E. N.
Good coffee. Much like a light eating restaurant than your typical cafe which some may prefer. The toilets downstairs were subpar (won’t go into detail) and not like the rest of the neatly presented interior...:(
S. S.
Very cool place to come and chill out or maybe get some work done. Excellent selection of herbal teas and nice interior decoration. They play music.
J. M.
Great espresso based coffee, and they also had a couple of single origin filters on. Serve oat milk and a couple of vegan cakes/sweet things.
N. K.
Love it, definitely my favourite coffee shop in London. Hoping that they can start bringing their extras over from Greece that they currently aren't like the whipped cream for the cappuccinos!
T. R.
Nice place for coffee to central London. A place for reading, too (not during rush hours). Nice coffee and also traditional greek hot and cold coffees!
B. H.
Me and some friends looked up the best coffee places in London, Coffee Island was on the list and when we came here we was not disappointed, do some awesome milkshakes and iced coffees and the atmosphere was very welcoming.
A.
Many thanks for your response. My latte on two occasions was warm, and the barista wasn’t too pleased making me another one and the looks on their face was like as if I’m wasting their time and cheating them for a latte.
M. F.
Finally a greek coffee shop.It reminds me of summer in Greece. A greek island in the hart of London. You can chill with your coffee and have a chat with a friend..coffee is supreme, ambient is great and personnel very cool..
S. Y. S.
Local Greece coffee. The coffee was amazing.
D. O.
Overall, it’s a good shop for studying and relaxing. Highly recommended!
S. C.
Very sophisticated environment and the unique freddo espresso much better than the one sold in chain-coffee shops!Smiling employees keen on cleaning and tidying up constantly. They were busy so it was very appreciated.Variety of coffees.I know it closes around 8 but there was no big variety on desserts to accompany coffee or tea at 4ish when we visited.I shall visit again for sure but I will try to be there earlier!
N.
Very good coffee but queues can get a bit long. Plenty of seating (unless it's busy) and I like the option to buy coffee to go.
S. K.
Great coffee when it first opened. Now it's too famous I think, always so many people and noisy. I think people know that they have good coffee.
A. Z.
one of the best coffees I've ever had, definitely coming back next time I'm in London.
R. C.
Amazing coffee and you can watch your coffee being brewed using your chosen method. The barista was very informative and we learnt a lot - only popped in for a quick coffee
L. B.
This would have been 2.5 stars if it were available. I like this place and go there daily. The big let down, for me, is the toilet. Unless you get there just when they open the toilet always seems to be FILTHY dirty, even though a chart on the wall says it has been cleaned. Fix this and it will be a 5 star from me all the way.
N. E.
Great coffee, good service with milk alternatives...don't forget to ask for the special blend instead if the house blend.
D. T.
What a little gem! Lovely selection of food and beverages, and considering it's in the heart of Covent Garden, really reasonable prices. The staff were friendly and professional. Highly recommended.
x. p.
Nice coffee and the place is very cozy.
d.
Very nice coffee place with interesting teas and coffees. Staff is friendly and it has a warm atmosphere. I would definitely recommend it.
R. M.
Great if you're looking for something more than espesso based coffee. Five single origins, couple of blends, drip, aeropress - you'll find a taste for yourself:-)
M. S.
Good spot for a coffee break!
M. R.
Friendly Staff are always on hand to help choosing coffee, pastries ( of which there are lots!) . Nice space to work and espresso is very good.
A. T.
Coffee was very good quality. Clearly a step up from the major chains. The shop was nice as well. Overall a very positive experience.
H. B.
Probably the best tasting cup of coffee I have ever had. If you are tired of the same burnt and lifeless grinds from starbucks, Costa, Nero etc this is the place for you.
M. F.
Quick stop for great coffee and polite service!!!
A. k.
The best coffee shop in London for me ,very good coffee
A. L.
Super friendly staff.
Huge coffee brewing selection (including Greek ibrik and custom requests)
Plugs and Wi-Fi for remote work.
Really spacious double floor
D. N.
Great place to do work or have a drink with friends. I come here all the tine and the quality of the coffee is great and the staff are always nice and helpful
C. U.
Staff seem a little inexperienced. Polite but not engaging. Slow use of the POS and spilled my first coffee during preparation.
K. S.
Good coffee, great prices, but the interior is kinda claustrophobic, so simply sit in the front or in the floor above.
E.
Best quality coffee in London area in great price...very nice decor in the know standards of coffee island...!!!
Keep up the great job guys...!!!
J. M. P.
Good coffee, one of the few ones that is not from a chain in the area!
A. R.
Really like this place, nice barista, quality coffee and service surprisingly not expensive. Was nice to sit upstairs and work. very suitable for meeting , interview . Like their whole environment
A. B.
Amazing coffe in this place I really recommend it if you want to stop for a while, have a savory treat and enjoy some delicious hot beverage, there are plenty of places to seat although it's normally busy, you can also enjoy the free WiFi and even buy their own products like coffee beans to take home and make your own tasty mixes
D. M.
Very good coffee, nice place to hang out with some choices in sweet and the Freddo cappuccino like the best coffee around.
H. S.
They offer a great variety of well-crafted, specialty single origin coffees. The best coffee shop in London!
K. F.
