Reviews of Doppio Coffee Warehouse Kentish Town
C. G.
Absolutely great store with excellent coffee as expected.
Came in just for a quick coffee and had a great time. Also fun to browse the shelves, they have a great variety of coffee machines and paraphernalia.
My flat white was perfect and was great to see the large amount of roasts they had available to try or buy.
They had some baked goods too and stuff in the fridge.
Cannot recommend more.
If you liked my review feel free to give it a 👍 and follow me on Google Maps for more reviews!

Best coffee shop in London, don’t listen to these people saying it’s a try hard cafe - they are genuine a bean and coffee machine repair/supply shop that also happen to sell coffee.
This means they set a high bar for the coffee they serve you. Also a good spot to get supplies if you run your own machines.
A slight negative however is the food which does feel a little bit like an afterthought, focus on the coffee if you visit.

Interesting stuff to look at on the fat industrial plywood and timber shelving units like being in an amazon warehouse like all the copper pipes and stripped down commercial cappuccino machines very warm like the 50mm birch ply communal tables . Pity there's no seating at the front of the shop and no tea mugs . Cups are ok for cappuccino but tea is a mug based drink . Also the noise of those bloody coffee bean grinders does my head in . Can't you stick the thing in a soundproof cupboard? 🙉

I visited the Doppio Coffee Warehouse in Kentish Town with my family. Indeed, it looks the part for anyone into coffee. All manner of devices and supplies were there. You could spend a couple of hours looking through it all. Anyway, I ordered a flat white. They forgot to serve it. Had to remind them, but when it arrived, it was well worth the wait. Right on the money, the best I've had in ages. They know how to do it right. And the staff are nice. I'll overlook the omission, if they can serve a flat white like that!

Delightful vibe, delicious coffee, my favourite coffee shop in KT

Wonderful gem of an original coffee house. To my pleasant surprise they have their own nespresso compliant capsules which were actually better than Nespresso albeit 3 flavours only. Always a friendly staff.

One of the best coconut mocha’s I’ve ever had is from this place. Great coffee shop, and there are lots of coffee accessories to buy in there too. They also have a wide selection of unique coffee beans to buy.
B. H.
Really cute little place, full off espresso machines and coffee tidbits, but there’s some seating too. The coffee I had (latte) was exceptional and tasted almost of caramel 🥰

Amongst all the great coffee shops in Kentish Town, Doppio makes the most delicious coffee!

I have had coffee from this cafe whenever I am in the area. Yesterday was special because I was volunteering for NHS and when I was about to end the session I decided to have a coffee thereafter buy a book before returning home on the day before another lockdown. As always , Doppio serve the best coffee and their staff do that with a smile!
I accidentally dropped my ear bud case and one of the staff members found it and kept it safe. I cannot thank them enough for that.
A.
Doppio has the best coffee! Lovely sandwiches and baked goods. The baristas are always really friendly and helpful.

One of the best coffee shops I have been to in London. Only negative about this place is the horrible jazz music they play (even worse on the weekends), but luckily I have noise canceling headphones and was able to sit in for a few hours most day and work without going crazy. Staff is very friendly and make delicious coffee with a big smile. Thank you for the past 8 months, sad to be moving and not having an easy way to get to this place anymore :(

I think that they serve the best coffee in Camden/Kentish Town area. When I was living locally, I used to go every day and I went again last weekend and I was glad to check that they continue preparing a super tasty coffee. The only area to improve is the food menu which does not offer so many options.
M. Q.
Professional, well equipped, patient and friendly. You got to get there!
Loved my experience with Mariusz and Ben, great guys and lots of time to explain, advise and assist. The only place in London selling top espresso machine especially the top ones like ECM range. Totally trustworthy.

Wonderful coffee in a very pleasant environment. Doppio serves the closest I can find to a traditional Italian Cappuccino (6oz. of 1/3 espresso, 1/3 milk, 1/3 foam and an Arabica Robusta blend for the beans). The shop is also located in a lovely area just off the beaten path of Camden in Kentish Town that is nice to walk around.

Reasonable coffee in a cold atmosphere.
The general sense I got on arrival was one of a warehouse/ storage facility in which a coffee shop had been added as an after-thought.
This perception was reinforced as a series of coffee machines and supplies were wheeled back and forth through the inefficiently arranged cafe area.
While the coffee was fairly decent, the service was cold. Two inscrutable servers were not offensive in any way, but any sense of friendliness was out of the question. I asked for a large, black Americano. This was met with one of the servers holding up the smaller of two cups and saying, "this is the size of an Americano". Clearly putting it into the larger cup and adding some hot water was too much to ask.
The coffee was strong and a fairly dark roast (which I like), providing a reassuring kick on the tongue that a good espresso (the basis of an Americano) should give. But I would have liked that extra water.
Nonetheless, I went up for a second coffee taking my cup with me to save them fetching it (no hint of a "thank you" was ever going to be used).
This place could and should be really good. If they select/ train staff to be less icy, become less inflexible over what they are prepared to sell and re-arrange the space, then I might return.

Friendly staff, lovely coffee, nice pastries.
I tend to swing by in the morning for breakfast. My only complaint is that they don't do sandwiches, so it's not a lunch place.
They also have a range of tampers, coffee machines, and other assorted making equipment, along with a wide range of different coffees.
So it's sort of half coffee shop half coffee making warehouse. If you're in Kentish town and need some coffee or something for your coffee machine I'd totally check this place out, or if you want some breakfast before work.
J. V.
Very interesting place with all coffee lovers amenities. Good choice of puddings. Coffee is very well balanced and prepared with precision. Place is good to longer work on the PC or chat with friends
A. D.
Good coffee! And the best cinnamon bun I’ve found in London so far.
N. P.
By far one of the best coffee shops in London. Slightly industrial atmosphere, jazz, delicious coffee blends... I've been a regular once I lived in Camden, but I keep coming back even though I've moved to a different area now.
D. J.
Good selection of products and good coffee.
K.
Pleasant service with a few outside tables for those inclined. Apart from serving coffee you can also buy beans, ground coffee, machines and cafetieres etc. The Americano is a little bitter for my tastes but may appeal more to the Cappuccino and Latte drinkers.
A. I.
So far one of mine most favourite coffee shops in London. Lovely relaxed atmosphere, always polite staff and dogs friendly policy. Surprise yourself if you haven’t been!
N.
Really lovely coffee. Pastries quite good but it's not a breakfast place, it's a coffee place that serves a bit of food to go with it. I also like the quiet thoughtful jazz. And the prices for the barista machinery are quite fair as well ...
I. M.
Excellent coffee available to drink in on premises or takeaway. But more than that you can buy beans, machines and almost any other coffee do-hicky you care to mention.
Staff are warm and friendly, soundtrack is always good, coffee is so delicious and a little canolo is a recommended accompaniment. Hands down, the best coffee in Kentish Town.
J. H.
Likely to be of at least some interest to coffee geeks as this place is, as the name suggests, part cafe and part warehouse for coffee and coffee making equipment. The tables are in amongst what feels like a sort of stock room, and are nicely spaced out so it doesn't feel cramped. There's also some outside seating.
As for the actual coffee itself, this may divide opinion. I personally really liked it - dark roasted and rich tasting in the Italian tradition, I had a very satisfying macchiato (although as a minor nit it was served in a large cup, I prefer it in an espresso cup). Modern coffee hipsters, however, seem to have deviated from this style and I believe are typically looking for lighter, fruitier notes. So this may not be for them. The rest of the clientele on our visit certainly didn't look like hipsters - a slightly older crowd, and some people with kids (perfect for us - my daughter liked the babycino - another thing I'm sure would keep the hipsters at bay).

What a wonderful presentation of the world of coffee. Great atmosphere and definitely has everything I need for a great cup of coffee. I appreciate the kind service .

I came in on 24 July 2021
The first time I have been here
I had a cup of coffee and brought some bags of coffee
It was excellent 👏I will be back soon
K. S.
Quite possibly the best coffee I had in London.
Soy flat white done incredibly well.
Didn't try good, but the sweet Italian treats looked delicious
S. C.
This was a great discovery in Camden! The flat white here is simply amazing and the atmosphere is very cozy. The music is a big plus as well, along with the friendly staff.
Going here on lazy weekends and enjoying coffee right outside the shop was a pleasure!
W. N.
Great place to get your coffee beans from at wholesale prices and they also serve a decent coffee. Plenty of benches to plant yourself at the back or a few spots outside.
I don't remember having any decent WiFi there, but I'm not going to mark them down for this as it's coffee people go there fore.
V. N.
Very nice coffee, only 4 people allowed at a table because of covid and there are 3 tables. Also there is a toilet available. If you decide to go there enjoy it 😊
E. S.
Best coffee in town, you can just imagine they're are sole distributor of Lamborghini, Diemme amongst the few exclusivities. This is a coffee warehouse and if you are into a business or planning an event, they rent out different varieties of coffee machines. They have ample selections of coffee blends. You can have your coffee take out or drink in with savoury sandwiches and pastries.
R. W.
Nice place to pick-up whole beans or pre-ground coffee. Large variety and good prices compared to similar shops in London (£12-20 for a kilo bag depending on the blend).
J. C.
Nice food, great chai and lovely staff. Top!
A. P.
Very clean my husband had lovely cappuccino and i had a lovely hot chocolate the two lads were very polite will definitely call in again when we are that way. 🙂👍
F. S.
Staff helpful and knowledgable, and a great flat white.
A. H.
Lovely coffee, friendly staff, lots of coffee paraphernalia, yum pastries and dreamy pistachio cannolis.
E. K.
Enormous variety of coffee stuff, but unfortunately they don’t make filter coffee
R. W.
Coffee shops multiply like jets in the sky; yet the discerning drinker retains as little chance of entering the inner workings of the industry as a plane-spotter has of entering the Lockheed factory! Until the Doppio workshop... where the enthusiast sets foot in the crucible of caffeinated life itself.
I. J.
Passionate, knowledgeable and authentic coffee-makers. Chilled place for good coffee and pastries. Surrounded by professional coffee machines, beans and paraphernalia, it's an unhurried and friendly local jewel.
K. A.
One of the top quality coffee and service in North London I've ever experienced. We moved away from the neighbourhood but still going back for a cuppa ... sometimes two.
M. P.
One of the best cups of coffee I have had. Doppio are a very profession, enthusiastic and energetic company. Also a pleasure to do business with.
R. W.
Came for the Wi-Fi, stayed for the coffee. And the atmosphere. And the music (non-obtrusive instrumental jazz). And the professional, pleasant staff. Best coffee house in London.
H. H.
Briefly great place to be. The quality of coffee, helpful caring staff gone beyond the extra mile..place is clean, easy to find spare parts for the coffee machine....
M. S.
Excellent coffee with experienced baristas. Helped me in choosing equipment and roasts.
M. G.
Like this coffee shop. The set up in a warehouse is very different & it feels like you are entering a coffee laboratory. Not got many coffee shop options in Kentish Town & this is the one to head to.

Best coffee I’ve had
S. D.
Not just a coffee place but a proper temple of coffee. You can buy not just coffee and delicious pastries (try "baci di dama", next to the till) but also equipment like mokas and more. Worth a visit.
A. W.
Super helpful, friendly and quality service repairing my coffee grinder.
J. B.
Best coffee in London. Super chill place, I love the selection of coffee accessories to buy but more importantly the coffee rocks!
S. C.
We did appreciate the relaxed atmosphere dedicated to coffee making and degustation. Fantastic pastries too.

I really like the coffee here but the service is just so bad that I can’t give any higher than 3 stars. It makes a difference guys.
M. M.
Tastiest coffee I've had in a while. Smooth, not sour and great staff.
Z. A.
They have a delicious coffee. Place is quite calm to study or have a chat with a friend.
J. L.
Decent coffee. Got some to go. Staff could be a little friendlier but maybe it was just an off day.
O. C.
Great coffee, just a shame about the awful jazz they occasionally play. (It's lovely at times too)
A. D.
Great selection of coffee blends and items for the home barista. Nice atmosphere!
