Reviews of Fuckoffee

Love this place. Coffee is absolutely delicious. Super cosy atmosphere - you’ll have to share a space with others which for me personally adds to the charm. Have spent many an afternoon reading and sipping on a hot beverage there. Snacks are also good. Staff have the admirable quality to be attentive and efficient even when they’re super busy.

The name of this place may offend some people but not me, I was certainly not offended by the coffee, the place was packed & the queue for takeaway was almost out of the door! Says it all really!
N. D.
Great coffee bar with bags of character. Reminded me of my brain. Good coffee, great mix of customers
S. R.
This is a cafe which is designed as a warm welcoming but bohemian place. Alternatively it could be described as hipster. Personally whilst I find them a bit pricey it is a comfortable place to sit & work or be, with a good quality fresh smoothie. There is a good vibe to the place.
R. H.
The coffee here is stupendous, perfect balance of notes for ultimate flavour. I love to visit this little oasis for meetings with clients as its cosy and informal and has an outdoor seating area for those nice days too. Definitely worth a visit if you're passing through the famous Bermondsey Street.
K. D.
Great atmosphere, great staff. Delicious coffee & really good vegan cake. Perfect for a Saturday morning. Dog Friendly too so big bonus. Thank you
H. S.
Nice little coffee stop on Bermonsey high street. Good selection of coffee and treats and the interior has a funky vibe. You can also for outside of you fancy it Anyone with dietary requirements will find no bother finding what they need here
z.
Great tasting coffee, fun books and games to sit and enjoy! Love the name
R. M.
I had an excellent coffee and fudge-like brownie here this morning, the perfect way to start my day. There's plenty of seating inside, lots of room, and a good atmosphere. I will definitely be coming back next time I'm in the area!

Friendly staff, great coffee, atmosphere !
L.
I have known this place since 2010 and it still has the same transgressive character. Necessary stop if you are in the area. Good coffee and pastries, and in the good old times they had scones in the morning. Dog friendly. Interesting music. Cosy. Take away or stay in one of the comfy sofas. Thumb up 👍
T. D.
Really great vibe and great service. It has ample of seating area to work and read. Definitely going back.
D. K.
Great coffee, nice staff and casual vibe. Music can get a bit distracting and loud, however they tend to have great playlists. Comfy couches and generally a great place to meet friends not only to drop in for coffee or snack. They have a fun loyalty card and decent Covid-19 preventative measures.
M. P.
One of the nicest lattes I've had in a long time. Probably because they source the beans so carefully. Great space. Great atmosphere. Great food and drink. And super cute Gino served me. Will be visiting again soon! I got the lemon polenta cake which was very delicious!
F. C.
I wish there more places like this in London. Unique, relaxed, so welcoming with the perfect soundtrack. It feels like being back in the late 90’s. Thank you so much Fuckoffee.
C. L.
Decor is nice and actually the coffee is good. Had an issue with a lot of lumps in my coffee. Got told this was normal for Almond milk and to stir it. I asked for a new one and staff were not too happy. From that point I felt really unwelcome so drank coffee and left. Also had a lot of water coming from a pipe in the ceiling into a big bucket which was splashing everywhere and didn't smell great. Will try this place again though as like I said the coffee is good.
O. B.
Quirky and fun dog friendly cafe serving very good quality organic products.
One of the best coffees and vegetarian soups in London.
Fun and friendly staff.
Visited first time because of the fun name, keep coming back for years because of all the rest :)
L. D.
Great place, eclectic atmosphere and some lovely bits and bites ovet the walls. The cafe is a must every time I'm in London.
T. P.
Best coffee I've had south of the river. Very relaxed, communal vibe with well-loved sofas that make you feel like you're sat in your mate's living room - in the best sense. Recommended.
A. L.
Quirky little independent coffee shop down the road from the textile museum with a rude name. They offer all sorts of things to eat and drink but my coffee wasn't anything special. Back of coffee house has an interesting set of sofas and notice board. Makes a real change from bland corporate chains. Get a rude coffee loyalty card!
W. A.
Great little shop.
But i visited with 3 other people and we could not get a seat. 4 people were taking up 4 tables which would have seated 16 people.
Surely this is causing a loss of business. Which is a shame because the Coffee, Staff and Cleanliness was amazing.
J. K.
Doorstep delicious cakes including multiple gluten free options (husband is intolerant) that are 100% worth the calories. Good coffee too and welcoming place to relax and work if needed.
M. K.
Super friendly staff, good price for every drinks and nice mood. There are some books for customer free. I got a cup of tea staff recommended it was sweet and delicious
P. L.
Great coffee, obvs! 😎 super chilled and friendly place to get through your emails or to chat with a friend. Some selection of non-cake items, which is useful when hungry.
Y. M.
Pretty cool chilled out place to hang out with your friends, quite busy though but seats are comfortable. Drinks here are good, I got the chai here and was not bad. The only issue I have with this place is that it uses only disposable cutleries so best if you bring your own coffee cup.
N. H.
The best kind of coffee shop in my book - iced coffee year round, ridiculous music that obviously reflects the tastes of the staff, which I love, shabby sofas and generally just a "we're happy to have you hang out here" vibe. A+++
L. l.
The best coffee in bermondsey! . Very aesthetic and radical inside. Staff are great and very friendly! Great place even to go, lots of doggos too 💙
m.
Beautiful coffee. Trendy interior. Quirky and independent. Pretty good value coffee for central London, too. Highly recommended
K. S.
Had a fantastic coffee from here. Looking forward to coming back again. They give you an extra stamp on you loyalty card if you have a keep cup 👍🏻
C. G.
Great coffee as ever from here.
Been a few years since I last came here (my old office was around the corner) but diverted my cycle especially to come back this morning and the coffee is still great quality and the staff super friendly.
Shame to see it quiet on the inside due to covid, but understandable. Can't wait to come back again!
K. P.
The smoothies are really tasty here. Could have a few more options that don't include coffee.
N. J.
Great place to tuck in on a cold winter day, they have great coffee and treats and a wide variety of soups that changes daily. It gets a bit busy during lunch hour rush but has a nice sofa section if you want to eat in. Check the daily board for specials.
A. P.
Lovely, stylish, friendly place. Staff was lovely. And name, name is simply the best!!! :)
Not my type of blend of the coffee (a bit too tabaco).
P. F.
Amazing customer service, really great coffee and lush interior, would definitely recommend!
O. M.
I just love this place. Guys n gals working there are quite cool and especially friendly. Its got a really nice relaxing vibe and seating is casual shabby chic (when we were able to sit). Can't wait for this to reopen fully to chill after a days walking a few minutes from London bridge station.
The coffee is quite reasonable and relatively well made depending on who is behind the levers. They do their own coffee which is very well priced especially if you go for the 1kg bag.
Also who doesn't like their name??? 😂
N. F.
Great coffee and relaxed atmosphere! Could do with a better variety of food and cakes.
J. R.
"A damn fine cup of coffee." The people here are great, and the coffee is quite good. They stick to single-origin PNG, which has its own flavor. I like it. They also have character. Be sure to visit the restroom and read the letter...
B. H.
Great coffee, friendly Staff, a vibrant atmosphere, and comfortable seating. Plus, early opening hours for people who get up early and need their coffee shot. Definetly one of my favourites.
C. H.
I recently moved in the area and have tried many coffeeshops to find the one I can keep coming back to. This is the one! Great coffee and the shop itself has a great personality as well
D. M.
One of the coolest and tucked away coffee shops. Music is great, seating can be tight but comfy of the sofas. The coffee is good and it's dog friendly. Lots of humour in the place. Great to sit and read, work, catch up with friends.
A. S.
This is a really lovely, cute little place on a quiet street. Great view of The Shard. The shakes and smoothies are great. Staff are always lovely. Not far from London Bridge station, Borough Market.
H. M.
Quirky for sure, the name and the decor, couldn't sit in due to current covid restrictions so had to take away. But Great Coffee - only had the straight latte to try, was delicious and so smooth, I highly recommend. Will be going there again to try the other beverages 😀
J. R.
Awesome smoothies. Super nice staff. Comfy chairs. Great Vibe. Good music. Free Wifi. What more would you want?
L. J.
Great coffee. Excellent place to study and read.
E. M.
Fully support this place. Apart from the bold move to have a name like that, the quality of the coffee is top notch. Small, cosy place with character and witty comments all over it. I fully support the idea and the owner with a original sense or humor ~
J. L.
Fun little place if you manage to roam from borough, to bermondsey. Great coffees, not much seating outdoor, but you can always grab and go and find a place to sit in the park or opposite in the museum steps (basking in the sun).
D. L.
Atmosphere is buzzing, with many people using the place as an indie work spot. In my opinion, the coffee is not the best that I've had (nor are the pastries)-- but the shop is a cool little spot that Bermondsey definitely benefits from having. It's usually quite busy-- so not always easy to find a seat, but take that as a good sign! In short-- a great, fun environment to work from or to meet up with mate, but not the place to go as a coffee or pastry connoisseur.
A. B.
amazing coffee and food. friendly staff and non pretentious vibe. can't recommend it enough !
W. B.
The coffee was fantastic! Its a lovely place supportive of LGBTQIAP+ and Black Lives Matter with a great range of merch and a hilarious name.
R. F.
So happy about this find, close to London bridge with great decor and service.
S. B.
Great coffee and fun atmosphere ☕
P. G.
Amazing Moka! Loved the coffee I ordered here, and the staff is very friendly. Looking forward to going after covid and enjoy a warm breakfast there. The decor is unique!
K. P.
Husband took me here. Too many tory posters for my liking but the coffee is okay 😂
P. L.
This place is very quirky. The staff are all friendly and the coffee and croissants are very good. It is my regular spot for coffee when I am in the area.
M. S.
Loved this place. Its got quite a shoreditch/camden vibe to it. Their reward card is a stroke of genius.
For anyone wondering it is dog friendly which was great.
B. N.
Very nice and hip coffee shop. Good funky aesthetic. Has a seating area outdoor. Their coffees are good.
R. L.
Overload your senses with obscenities! What a bizarre little coffee shop. Many things on offer like coffee (funny enough) milkshakes and smoothies. I have the delightful coconut milkeshake! Great place to meet friend and take photos of the colourful language! Not sure what picture of the cat was (photo attached)
G. P.
Crush of the day! Ethical coffee shop, with a funky/disco twist that’s perfect!
J. T.
This coffee shop will make you feel right at home! Excellent customer service, great coffee, and good food. Initially came here with my friend, but definitely enjoyed the experience and drinks. My first visit we ordered latte. What I love the most is their service! With each visit, the employees were super friendly and made me feel at home (ha-ha).
S. O.
Nice coffee and service. My only criticism is the name. I know this is what they are going for, to be edgy and offensive but it just feels cheap when you walk past it everyday. I use the f word most days so it doesn't offend me but there is a difference having it signposted on a cafe in an otherwise lovely street filled with nice restaurants and cafes. For this reason they do not get my business despite having nice coffee.
K. M.
I really like the coffee here, and they have a great range of cakes - even vegan ones. They give you such big slices of cake too. I’ve always had great service when I’ve come here as well. The atmosphere is very lively for a coffee shop - I like it, but I’m not sure it would be for everyone as the music can get a little loud and it’s a bit dark.
S. M.
Fun coffee house that attracts many a Mac. Really busy when I popped in (although it was pretty much peak morning rush) but the coffee was fab, staff friendly and it was a much more interesting place to be than the soulless chains around the station.
C. W. W.
Really funky and cool coffee place. The place is usually busy hangout for students and young people which is a nice vibe.
They serve a variety of coffee and sandwiches nothing super special however it's more of the ambience and quirkiness to visit. Definitely one of a kind coffee shop.
H. C.
Amazing coffee and delicious milkshakes. Super chill and friendly staff.
A. F. G.
Coffee and profanity fused in one hip place. Here you can get drinks from motherf*cking smoothie to an innocent matcha latte. The service is friendly and the interiors are begging you to hang out. Tough luck though cause its usually full.
S. A.
Good drinks, great selection, depends who makes them though.
J. A.
Will travel across town just for the coffee, also offers good vegan options
R. B.
LOVE this place. Staff are aweaome, cosy environment , chocolate brownies are insane and coffee is delicious!!!. but WISH it the drinks were hotter. I'm not "an extra hot" freak but I will definitely ask for that from now. Xxxxxx
G. P.
Cannot remember having a better coffee. Super welcoming staff and atmosphere.
R. G.
It can get crowded and loud in busy times but the baristas are friendly and they have a nice loyalty card. In less busy times it can be a good place to do some work from. I've had some really nice coffee dates here and also struck up conversations with other customers. It's a good point of the neighbourhood, even if certain locals aren't in love with the name. Personally I love it
S. C.
Great little coffee shop with a stylish feel to it.
Love the name as use it when asking friends for a coffee lol.
H. N. B.
This is a busy hole-in-the-wall style coffee shop with a lot of perceived attitude. The staff is amazingly friendly + the drinks are tasty. I visited on a Friday evening + a Saturday afternoon -- both times it was busy enough to need to scope out a spot + speed sit when it became available. That said, most people were chilling on their laptops...which is exactly what I needed to be doing.
The decor is sassy + the music is loud...but it feels comfy + right, so I spent a few hours working both days. Worth a visit!
M. O.
Intrigued as I found it on my map app before my meeting nearby.
Excellent quality coffee and a snack and I felt instantly comfortable in this coffee shop. Iggy Pop was singing ‘Lust for Life’ so I thought “this will do for me!”.
Friendly funny and irreverent rude decor, it reminded me of being in a Uni bar. Being a Scottish visitor I was delighted to see Tunnocks caramel wafers available. More quality!
Without a doubt the best coffee bar I have ever been to. I sat in a comfy green leather studded sofa chatting with an Australian and his infant baby. How many Friday mornings would I do that? I will be back someday.
J. B.
Trendy coffee shop, in a trendy area, full of trendy people working away on small laptops. Music too loud to hear staff, or they spoke too softly. Barista did a good job making the coffee and the banana bread was yummy. Didn't hang around inside and soon moved on elsewhere. Will happily take other people there in the future.
J. C.
Really happy atmosphere... Stayed there for one tea and could see people entering not with good face but when ordering the face changed. The team is great. The drinks not pricy finally. They have great atmosphere and you can work there on your laptop. Really good coffee shop to go
P. E.
Decor is cool. Funky vibes. However, coffee was average for me - nothing special. It was very busy but on my visit I didn't find staff particularly friendly.
It has several inside bench areas ideal for laptops with some cool beats playing on a cool London street, so an ideal spot for studying or working if you like alternative environment. Worth a try but didn't live up to my expectations. Funny coffee name though!
N. T.
Good coffee in a v. nice place. Sofas Comfortable. Every time I've been here there's a different oversized, cake to try!! :) Contrary to other reviews I disagree with the comments about being overpriced. Can get a filter coffee for a quid, that's better than any mainstream place. And food is also comparable if not cheaper, and it's fresh and responsibly sourced.
WiFi. Good music. Friendly staff. What more do you want...?
o. p.
A very fun and easygoing coffee place. There are some witty and a bit voulgar jokes in the place's vibe, but nonetheless are very enjoyable and fun. The coffee is good, and the little bites are tasty. We'll definitely come back again!
G. G.
Got a takeaway coffee, but the atmosphere in the coffee shop was really relaxed. Brilliant coffee!
L. V.
Good coffee and carrot cakes
C. C.
Lovely coffee, very smooth.
Friendly happy staff
You must try the custard tart
...
T. D.
There is a nice quirky and cosy atmosphere in this coffee shop. I love everything about it, from the funny names of drinks to the posters on the walls. I had a 'fat wife' (I assume it was a flat white coffee) and it tasted great! I took a friend who was visiting London for a day and he loved it too. In addition to all that, they got gluten free cake! I didn't try it but it's nice to know that I can grab something to eat while there.
S. C.
Great coffee and cake. Limited space though which is understandable considering Covid measures, however the toilet absolutely needs to be clean a lot more frequently.
D.
This is a very cozy place where to enjoy a coffee. Good selection of different cakes. It is one of the best coffees I tried here in London. Also lots of places to sit if you want to sip your coffee whilst working on your laptop. Definitely a place worth to try!
A.
I like the vibe and the branding but the coffee wasn't good. They encourage the use of KeepCups, which is great from an environmental standpoint, but then don't actually have any mugs themselves - just paper cups. Then I watched a waitress put a plastic bottle in the bin. Please do better!
A. S.
Quirky cafe ☺️
Dog friendly too! 🐕
A. M.
(kind of) Hip surrounding, excellent coffee! A very good choice for a leisure pit stop in the area. If you get hold of a comfy sofa, even better! All sorts of quirky stuff decorate the walls. They seem to be taking their coffee quite seriously. Definitely worth a try, I will be back again, when in the area.
E.
Came here on a Saturday afternoon. Nice coffee shop with a cool funky decor. Very much a hipster crowd, lots of mid 20's on their Macbooks. The coffee itself was okay, nice flavour however they messed the milk up on my flat white which ruined it!
O. S.
Amazing place! Love the decoration :)
Y.
Nice coffee and cosy place.
M. B.
Coffee is alright. No crockery so whether you're in or out you get a paper cup unless you bring your own. Nice buzzy atmosphere not great for working unless you're into having a lot of background noise.
C. D.
Quirky and entertaining. I enjoyed my vanilla latte.
S. M.
Great coffee and bustling with people. The vegan almond cake was delicious! No place to sit though as it was super crowded, just tells how popular the place is!
N. D.
This is my favourite local coffee place near our house! Coffee is really good, they have various selection of pastries and sandwiches, they serve soups for lunch. Place has its own very chilled and relaxed vibe, you can stay there whole day and working. Their flat white is cheapest on the Bermondsey street
N. M.
Just average. The vibe is not quite right,
D. S.
Great coffee and tea option a bit weak, pastries on offer great but could do with a hot option for mornings. Still really good, would definitely recommend.
N. S.
A charming coffee shop in Bermondsay, great coffee and pastries. Full of character, young crowd, trendy.
E. M.
Quirky coffee shop with a great name! Staff very friendly and great coffee. Pity only one person sitting at large table so 4 together can't sit but hey ho! Wouldn't stop me going back though!
G.
Great place, quirky, cool music and thai soup is amazing!
B. S.
Really good coffee in a quirky setting - different to your usual artisan coffee places.
Just let down by the single use cups they serve coffee in, even if you're sitting in. Same goes for water - single use plastic. Wise up, guys
R. B. (. .. s.
Chill coffee joint with a fun ambience and comfy sofas. Didn’t have the coffee, but had a really nice iced chai - maybe a bit overpriced, but I would come here for the atmosphere. Great to do work in if you like a medium/high level of ambient noise, and has free WiFi!
S. E.
Great little coffee house with tasty freshly made cakes and sandwiches and always has two types of soup. Great for vegetarians and vegans too with lots of dairy free options.
It's so hipster that there's even a Bitcoin ATM there too!
This place is on my most loved coffeeshop list.
J. F.
great coffee, lovely staff, lots of good veggie options (and non-dairy milks!) My only two critiques of this place are that it can get quite crowded and that they use A LOT of disposable packaging for individual slices of cake/cookies etc, and seem to serve all their drinks in takeaway mugs, even for eat-in customers. Could definitely have a more streamlined approach to waste.
K. 1.
Good coffee, but not much in terms of hot food selection - not a brunch place! Tried their banana bread which was really yummy! Seating is kinda cramped and squeezy though, especially when they’re full.
J. E.
Love this coffee shop. They always make a brilliant cup and dog friendly! Only thing I’d like is a baby change but other than that fab.
M. A.
Although they triggered me and destroyed my safe space, I still come here because it gives me something to complain about!
In all seriousness, great coffee shop, with an excellent staff and one of the best Twitter accounts out there. The soup is fantastic as well. I try to get there at least once a week, whether to do some work, read, or just relax.
R. S.
Best coffee and atmosphere in LONDON
N. H.
Ordered a piccalo, the barista accidentally made a latte(which looked very nice) however they realised they made a mistake and took it to be remade, the piccalo they remade had burnt milk and tasted very awful, I ended up throwing it away as it was undrinkable.
It's a big shame as it looks like this place has skilled baristas and a nice interior but was on this occasion completely let down by a lazy barista who should've just remade the coffee again properly
Edit: 09/08/20, Much better experience, ordered 2 espressos and were both very tasty, Chocolatey and a bit acidic
T. F.
Lovely concept. Nice peace of art regularly change. Really friendly staff. Music too louf sometime, if you want to work it may be difficult. The space is really desorganised but that's what makes it lovely. Fairly priced. Good soups at lunch time.
J.
As an Australian searching for good goto coffee in London in my regular visits, this is my backstop. If the name makes it through your corporate firewall, get yourself there and enjoy the brew. Big supporter of the local ambulance and fire service etc. Quirky fitout with comfy sofas etc. Can’t opine on the food but it always smells great.
D. P.
I love it here. One of my fav coffee shops in London.
The only thing they should do to improve is improve the amount of recyclable products. Plastic cutlery and disposable coffee cups etc
F. M.
It's LGBT+ friendly coffee place. Constantly busy with people felt like they could occupy more than one space because their MacBooks and leather backpacks worth more than we do. The coffee place itself got character and attitude which is a gem in the city when bwankers are roaming nearby destroying the nation's economy. Again.
B. E.
The atmosphere is cosy and friendly; the coffee is great, with plenty of dairy-free options; the snacks are plenty with lots of options for vegans too; as for the wifi, it's never let me down. Come for the coffee, stay for the eclectic music selection, super friendly staff, friendly and safe atmosphere.
C. C.
Love my cuppas here in the afternoons.
C. M. (.
Great place for a good vibe with coffee and smoothies with colourful language
M. M.
Comfy couches, super friendly staff, lots of newspapers etc lying around to read. Great smoothies and iced coffees. But the actual coffee itself is pretty weak and tasteless - I think it's the beans, the staff really try their best. Ditch the 'our mate in kenya' own and serve Square Mile instead and this place would shoot straight to five stars.
M. W.
Probably the best-named coffee place on Earth. Coffee is fairly decent, of the third-wave, carefully sourced and tenderly roasted variety. Assortment of finger foods as well, if memory serves me right. But to be honest, I was just there for the coffee.
J. S.
A refreshingly original experience with authentic home made style selection of snacks and food.
A. N.
Super nice staff, great coffee and pastries, eclectic music and free newspaper...What's not to like?
E. A.
Used to come to this place for years as I live around the corner. I must say the service was quite slow and always had queues.
However the coffee was amazing, and I'd rather wait in line than have a horrible chain coffee.
Quite expensive and the food was really nothing to rave over. Seating was hard to get and seemed to be full of people on their laptops all day.
That being said I have to give it 4 stars because I crave for their cappuccinos daily
P. T.
Great coffee! Hilarious theme. It’s become a regular coffee spot!
M. K.
Industrial, hipster, grungy and trendy spot. Tables and couches to work and relax. Loud rock music and friendly staff. Definitely a unique pun on words and good spot for a coffee
K. M.
cool name mediocre coffee
L. H.
Nice coffee with great music. Good vibe to start a new day !
J. V.
Very cool place and environment with cool decoration. You can feel very confortable there with a cool music playing in the background. If you go there by the lunch time you definitely must try their soups, they are a very good and delicious lunch option.
N. G.
Definitely my new favourite coffee shop, great coffee, so comfortable, love the art/atmosphere (and the restroom). Got soy hazelnut latte and a sea salted cookie would recommend to anyone and everyone
P. L.
Good coffee and good vibes. Watch out though, coffee can be very strong and bitter especially if you’re from the continent (like everywhere in London). But definitely worth if you need to work/chill out/read with a good coffee.
P. B.
I thought the coffee was very good, and I love the edgy vibe, even if the atmosphere is a bit "try hard". That carries its own sort of irony. The service was nice and fast. The wifi was terrible though, so not a good place to sit and do anything online.
C. N.
We popped in here today for a quick coffee. The flat white was ok, macciato nice and strong. Almond pastries were a little over baked but still tasted very nice. Was very busy in here and most of the tables which could sit at least 3 or 4 people on each had 1 person per table with their laptops and belongings all over each the table. A little selfish we thought.
W. L.
Really like coming here for coffee! Love the chill vibes and eccentric decor. That said, I do think the music tends to be too loud in here sometimes, could be difficult to work or have a conversation.
C. G.
I like the place but don't know why they are replying to Fuckoffee for bad reviews haha :D :D
C. G.
Cafe I frequent 3-4 times a week. Their coffee is great, staff really friendly playing good music. Working environment good for me (computational Genomics PhD) with Wi-Fi and many plug sockets!
I. A.
Best coffee great taste very good and friendly stuff
A. v. C.
Good place for a tasty coffee. A bit dark on the inside, to be honest, but I guess it's part of the vibe. Friendly staff, for sure, and comfy sofas.
r. d.
Although the place is cool, as are the people that hang out here, the coffee isn't the best. The decor is quirky, a patchwork of flyers adorn the noticeboard and newspapers are scattered to browse, alternatively just bring a laptop like most others do. The food offering isn't the most inspiring but you'll find something.
J. B. K.
Great coffee. Chilled out, loungy, grungy & laid back... ☕🥐🍰🍵
M. S.
Had a great laugh reading all the 1 star reviews from pretentious coffee snobs who can't appreciate a great little spot not trying too hard to be something it's not. Find the name offensive? Go to a Costa snowflake. 5/5 coffee and a great no frills atmosphere with friendly staff and comfy couches
E. K.
Love this place! Great coffee, smoothies and sandwiches. Lots of vegan and gluten free options
S. “. H.
At lunch time, it's not easy to find a space to sit here and there is always a massive (but quick turning) queue. The sandwiches here aren't the best, if you're looking for lunch I would suggest one of their many soups. I had the sweet potato one and it was delicious. But get here quick as the soup is popular and often they run out of some types before lunch time is over! The flat white here was faultless - velvety and rich. The tables and chairs need a really good clean but it's that's just down to how busy it gets here. I just wished that it wasn't so popular!
S.
Cool and chilled staff, awesome coffee. Funky name;)
L. G.
Amazing coffee. Super helpful staff. Delicious baked goods and sandwiches. Also, the world's funniest loyalty card. There is comfortable, but limited seating.
s. s.
Nice, slight kooky place. Some interesting bits adorning the walls, including in the toilets. Like the fact you can donate your completed loyalty card to the paramedics that work nearby. Great concept
M. F. L.
Favourite coffee shop on Bermondsey Street! Such a cheeky and entertaining place, full of surprises. Go to the toilet to be watched by Margaret Thatcher and a CCTV. Great coffee. WiFi needs voucher codes that you can get at the counter. Window seat is great for people watching (just watch how many people stop to take a photo of the signboard). Good for working- moderately (optimal level) noisy. Open till 7pm most days.
M. N.
Great atmosphere, coffee, and food.
A. P.
You can always find some interesting slogans, art, waiters or music here. I feel like their milkshakes are their strong point when it comes to food. Leave feeling like my faith in the world is restored every time.
J. K.
OK coffee but always in paper cups. The music is often very loud. Good frappes. I personally find the 'girls girls girls' signage in the window unnecessarily offensive and avoid it as a result. There are nicer places either at the top of the street, or three very good places just 2 to 5 minutes further down the street.
G. R. M.
Regardless of how many times I visit this café, I always feel cozy and welcomed with the soothingly curated music and the whacky décor.
Their caffeinated beverages are certainly lovely (flat white £2.70) and I'd also suggest getting the prawn, rocket, & mayo sandwich on challah (£3.50 | reduced to £2 later in the evening)
R. B.
A popular weekend spot that recently opened in London, it is attended by hipsters, foodies, and families who want to go out for a leisurely Sunday. The main room is great to enjoy a simple menu of British-inspired favorites and excellent coffee. What's more, it is not just a cafe, you are in a comfortable atmosphere allowing you to read a book or work quietly on your laptop.

M. P.
The food is good although maybe a tad overpriced for the portion sizes – a cup of vegetable stew is £4.95, for example. The decor is also a bit stressful and there seems to be a problem with people taking up tables to work on laptops at peak times.
S. P.
The coffee is excellent but the range of food is almost non-existent. You'll feel relatively cool just being there but that's if you can find a seat. The 4 stars is just for the coffee.
A. C.
This is a marvelous trendy hangout. There's so much random stuff hung everywhere, and the general vibe of trendiness. The coffee is rather good too as you sink into a nice armchair. You'll leave feeling several times cooler.
C. A.
Classic independent coffee shop, the name says it all, great coffee of course but that's only half the story, try the daily soup.
A. B.
Had a relaxing lunch after stumbling across this place. The food and drink was quite cheap- £3 for a sandwich, £2.10 for a coffee (£2.70 for a large). Flat White was fine- nothing exceptional. Great music- I heard a full Pixies album whilst there. Full of students using the free wifi, shows the cafe is accomodating but means the sofas are permanently occupied!
D. X.
Great coffee place where you can chill, has this nice community feel when you get inside, staff is very nice, coffee taste good, pastries and all as well. Regular spot for locals and police officers :)
J. L.
what a place!!!! love coffee, relaxing and chilling out? this is the place for you. not to miss kinda place. staff are so friendly. open to all customers even the 4 legged type and offer them water and treats. be prepared to share a couch and a conversation.
h. k.
Very good coffee
J. G.
A fantastically quirky cafe with friendly, cheeky staff serving up some of the best coffee this side of the Thames. Bermondsey Street Coffee is perfect for pecking away at your keyboard, or a quick caffeine jolt while you're noodling through the shops on Bermondsey street. There's not a whole bunch of room, so if you're arranging a large meet-up of people, you're best going somewhere else. But, if you want to catch up with a good friend, and want to impress them with a cool space and good coffee, then this is the place.
H. G.
Hilarious decor, excellent selection of drinks and snacks.
L. K.
Best oat-milk-flat-white I've ever had. Cool, alternative vibe. Also good Place to study/world on a laptop. Although most of the times very full.
W. A.
Love this place! Good coffee, great smoothies and soups. Fun atmosphere with kind staff.
W. D.
Interior is cool and it is very busy, but the food is prepackaged stuff that you could buy at a sainsburys and while I've only been here once so it may have been an off day, I got a flat white which wasn't very good. The space isn't used very well and it seems to attract people who work on laptops all day.
G. C.
Good coffee and nice atmosphere. Can be a bit noisy but this doesn't effect the overall ambience. Their flat whites are excellent.
J. F. 2.
The Best coffee and a really fun place with truly awesome staff.
C. B.
The best coffee in London, I always order the almond latte and every single time is perfect! Creamy and sweet. Really love this shop!
C. B.
Coffee and food is great but as others have said, music is too loud (hard/deep house if you're into it). Also, they've recently begun to restrict use of Internet by giving you a code with each purchase - so if you want to use the WiFi you have to keep buying stuff every 30mins. Mind you this might not a bad thing as 80% of customers are sitting using MacBooks so it feels more like an Office on a Friday than a café.
G. F.
Interesting hipster filled place, relatively fast service. Staff were a little clueless and clumsy. My medium coffee at around £2.75 would have been a small anywhere else and was nothing special.
M.
Good spot to go work with the laptop during the week, but bring headphones as it can get loud. Very busy at weekends, but nice vibe. The drinks are good but the food is bog standard
S. S.
Obviously this coffee shop’s selling point is it’s name, however the coffee is above average, not the best, but much better than chains *cough* Starbucks, Costa *cough* the atmosphere is great, feels like a community. Can’t wait to come back!
A. L.
Wonderful place with beautiful atmosphere and great people. service was friendly and quick, the bathroom was gender neutral and they advertised clearly that all types of people were welcome. cants recommend it enough.
T. W.
So this is one of my favourite places to chill out at the weekend, I must have spend every Sunday morning for about 6 months drinking a flat whites and working away on my laptop at Bermondsey Street coffee. I would try and keep it a secret but honest it already out of the bag this place is a victim of its owe success, too often i'll struggle to get a seat on a rainy weekend.
They've always got music from someone I've never heard of playing and the place is full oddball posters & random tat. Pooch friendly with dog biscuits by the coffee lids and the staff are great, really friendly. If you spend long enough there you'll realise the WiFi is a pain and kicks you off after an hour, but you won't really mind buying another coffee. Probably the best coffee shops in this part of London - v.trendy, great for people watching or just hanging out and while away and afternoon.
They have a sister shop on brick lane. Check out their very random twitter feed for nothing but Starbucks abuse and random retweets
C. H.
I had a smoothie while had a meeting there. The place is quite close to London bridge station and has enough seating that it is easy to find a seat. It is a good place to go and visit the white cube gallery near by.
L. E.
Great coffee, friendly and helpful staff.
R. K. (. L.
Always the best... Consistently great coffee.
E. R.
Really delicious coffee and funky setting. Loved Maggie Thatcher in the toilet. Only bit of advice...there was a girl working on machine in morning and well....a smile goes a long way.
S. Y.
Lovely cozy place with good coffee
P. W.
Excellent cappuccino, friendly staff, in an interesting Bermondsey location. A couple of issues - it was a little cramped. I found myself squashed on a sofa. Sorry folks. I don't like the shop name either.
M. S.
First coffee shop in London that makes a good DIRTY chai latte! That's chai latte with an espresso shot for you non-Americans. Their frappes/blended drinks are quite naughty & scrumptious. Good place to do work if you can find a seat, clean toilet, kind / fun baristas & free wifi. Also, they have a punch card which I completed. Twice. Holds a sweet place in my heart.
P. B.
Coffee shop selling decent beverages with a funky attitude. Can get busy, but the baristas make a decent cup of coffee!
V. S.
It's funny and stylish place. Very difficult to get a seat. Ordered almond milk flat white and I guess milk was off. I was 200m away when I realised. I know this things happens so no hard feelings
K. N.
I discovered this place today and won't be looking for anywhere else to hang out and work. The coffee is great, wifi fast and the tunes are awesome too. It get's busy so the service can be a bit slow but you can't have everything!
D. P.
favourite coffee shop in London . Mismatched eclectic feel, super friendly staff, fast service and despite being very busy can almost always find somewhere to sit Coffee great, and good selection of drinks/snacks/sandwiches Soup selection is amazing.
R. B. C.
My favourite coffee place in South East. Dog friendly and they do card points with your coffee
Z. P.
After popping into somewhere nearby (and being thoroughly disappointed with it), I came into Street Coffee feeling a bit out of sorts. The cheery barista soon made me smile though – and instead of ordering my usual mocha or latte, I ended up with a Dirty Chai (a chai with a shot of coffee in it) and some white millionaire shortcake. I plonked myself down on one of the exceptionally comfy couches, admired the neon lights and illustrations on the wall, tapped my toes to the tunes playing... and relaxed. I left wishing that Street Coffee was a little nearer to where I live so I could make it my local.
L. H.
Yes, hipsters, Macbooks, like others say.. but you get a great coffee after you leave white cube. Love the place and will come more often.
N. O.
First and foremost they take coffee seriously which is the most important thing. Really enjoy the chilled out space which is a great place to either relax or jump on their wifi and get some work done.
D. R.
A London classic. Excellent coffee and great atmosphere!
M. H.
Amazing coffee and good vibes!
C.
Great coffee, unique name but it’s a bit overpriced on food! Recommend a flat white to get you going in the morning!
A. L.
Amazing staff and delicious coffee. You haven't lived until you try the pastries. Just be warned, almond croissants are gone first thing in the morning.
C. N.
Almost always amazing coffee, and when not still better than most of the competition. Good music, comfy lounges and dog friendly.
C. K.
Excellent coffee (best I have had in the area). Brownies are decent too. Smoothie isn't great. Haven't tried the food so can't comment.
t. d.
Wonderful cafe and very friendly staff. I would give them five stars if they didn't only have takeaway cups.
W. L.
Good coffee are being served from this joint. Comfortable couches for those who wants to kick back and relax. They also serve delicious smoothies!
L. S.
Not my favourite place for coffee but as a trendy coffee house very in , especially if you know about coffee & what beans you want a really hip place with & relaxed chilled out vide
H. M.
Very homely. It feels like going to a (laid back) house party, with random people just sitting around the living room striking up conversation. Lovely. I'll be back, next time I'm in London.
M. B.
I've been a fan of this place for years! The feeling of the environment is awesome! The décor at the least! And I can't forget the staff. A very friendly and cool crowd that bring it together. I always pop in when I'm passing.
A. B.
Such a wonderful place with company sofas and friendly staff. Great place to grab a coffee to go or work for a while.
Recommend the pastries.
D.
Have hipsters gone too far? Probably but the coffee is great. No chance to find a seat though, the Mac users have built an impenetrable fortress with their computers.
J. T.
Great place to hang with mates or get creative. Interior decor is awesome and music is always great which makes all the difference. Can be hard to get a seat at peak times though!
M. B.
Despite the hipster decor, they actually make good coffee. Great for takeaway, if you can't get a seat among all the laptops.
M. F.
Great coffee, comfortable seats and cool people. A genuinely enjoyable place to spend time with mates or solo. Free wifi and dog friendly.
A. M.
Decent coffee and some nice gimmicks.. the Lego cutlery tray is fun! Bit up itself though tbh and food options limited.
R. C.
Place with great coffee and really chilled atmosphere. One star less for the never available seats as people get there and sit there all day working or reading.
R. F.
Funny place. Get in for a coffee, chill or only use their super wifi connection.
S. H.
The place is very nice and you can have a wonderful time if you're not pretentious. There are several comfortable booths that are almost all the time full and the coffee is a delight.
N. C.
Great eclectic atmosphere, lovely to stop for a coffee and room to do a bit of work on a laptop using their WiFi. They've even got a loyalty card.
J. D.
Great coffee, poor pastries
S. 8.
Good coffee! And sandwiches. Would definitely recommend. Far better than all the chain coffee shops everywhere!
R. F.
great coffee, very chilled atmosphere and staff.
the deco is...interesting. every time i go i see something i hadn't seen before.
T. K.
Nice place for coffee and superfoods.. there's also space with couches to do some work..Fair enough but I find very UNattractive when people are sitting there for 3-4 hours just getting space.. most of the times I could consider it as a takeaway coffee place..
C. T.
Extremely popular but because of this it can be busy and must wait in queues sometimes.
D. B.
Great to work, read or catchup with friends. Nice coffee, friendly staff, and inspiring interior. One of SE London best coffee spots!
F. H. (.
Probably the only place in the world where double espressoes are cheaper than singles. Decent standard of food and drink, excellent service and warm communal atmosphere.
S. M.
Love the way the place is decorated and LOVE their banana bread. I never leave reviews but this banana bread called for one. Life changing.
H. I.
One of the nest cafe in London, in my opinion.
J. B.
A real lefty, arty, pretentious coffee shop.... but once you get past that, it's flippin' great! Good coffee, great cakes, great staff and some banging tunes!!
R. R.
Great quality coffee and the funky name makes it interesting, but not that different from the numerous independent (and themed ) quality coffee shops popping up everywhere.
R.
Cool atmosphere and good drinks. It's great to have a coffee shop that actually uses fresh roasted beans.
G. M.
Love the ambience and creative atmosphere of this place, however, the coffee hasn't been that great and wifi is quite poor which makes it hard to work on your own stuff there
M. A.
Good mocha and VERY good apple strudel.
M. A.
My favourite cafe. Best coffee and coolest vibe, I can't function at work without visiting this place
A. R.
Well.... Its outrageous in the best possible way. Highly recommend their vegan water. Don't buy it, but definately Instagram it!
R. H.
The name tells you a lot....the coffee is great and it has a dull ambience and the vibe is positive. Food a little expensive but it is good.
J. B.
Best retro coffee place in London? Yes! Attention to detail in the decor are class! Always notice a new thing everytime I go!
J. W.
Good coffee, relaxed atmosphere, friendly staff. Great for weekends - just get there early to get a seat on the comfy sofas
G. P.
Great quality coffee, well-made by friendly staff. Quirky interior makes it all the more interesting
A. H.
Great coffee and vibe. Make sure to pick up a customer card. They’re hilarious. We keep ours on the frig.
G. J. R.
Good tunes, comfy couches, good coffee, food pastries.
F.
Great atmosphere, great quality, offered my friend a new cup of coffee after he accidentally spilled the first one
T. I.
Coffee is superb and more of a cosy feel than traditional coffee shops. Very friendly.
A. F.
Coffee was delicious (I had a Flat White), service was absolutely great, and the shop really has some great humour! Worth a visit :)
J. T.
Fun independent coffee shop with a range of tasty cakes. Quirky, with friendly staff
S. P.
Great coffee, lovely staff, good atmosphere and installations, yummy food. Right next to the White Cube, amazing location. Totally recommended.
H. M.
Funky arty coffee house with 80s pop star posters on the wall...and free Wi-fi! Feel like I'm in Williamsburg, Brooklyn. Sad it's only open till 7, would be happy to chill here this eve
M. G.
The best coffee I’ve tasted in London!
R. D.
Loved the atmosphere and interior. Fresh and delicious snacks with even better hot beverages. Worth to try! Pet and internet friendly too!
J. D.
Great coffee in a unique setting, definitely check this place out to not only get your caffeine fix but also something for your senses
M. S.
Very nice capuchino
B. S.
Nice coffee and food. Great atmosphere and very dog friendly
J. P.
Without a doubt, this place serves the best coffee in the London Bridge area. Well worth a visit.
A. B.
Super cosy place, coffee could be a bit better.
r. j.
Fantastic coffee shop. Tons of character. Helpful friendly staff but best of all great coffee!
V. G.
Very nice coffeeshop with a lot of interesting stuff in the food menu. It's very close to London bridge (5min) and have the best coffee.
B. Ç.
A very nice coffeeshop, good coffees.
K. s.
Dog friendly coffee shop! Amazing coffee friendly staff and clean and relaxed.. could not ask for more =) love this place
T. C.
My favourite place to buy coffee in London! It also helps that it doesn't look like your typical coffee house.
D. O.
Nice, non-Chain atmosphere in a charming part of of historic London: and - of increasing importance - they take card without imposing a minimum charge or fee.
Y. M.
Great coffee (one of the best I've had). Lovely place, lovely people.
C. A.
A gem of a coffee shop - great coffee, quirky atmosphere and a general attention to small, cute details - it all makes for a quality experience.
Z.
Had a strawberry smoothie which was nice. A shame they make them in bulk and can’t remove or exchange certain fruits.
L. F.
Awesome coffee, lots of dairy-free options available
M. P.
Definitely my favorite place in Bermondsey to have a coffee and work a bit with the wifi.
Cosy couches, good music and the staff is very friendly.
K. L.
Great friendly atmosphere. Iced mocha was very nice.
S. M.
It's so cool! You don't even need headphones, their playlist is gorgeous and the drinks and the place as well haha
J. S.
Chilled out independent coffee bar with lots of comfy seats, power points and free wifi. Just opposite the White Cube gallery. Love it!
R. N.
Evidently amazing coffee and great vibes. I would just lower the music a little so you don't have to shout when having a catch up!
L. K.
Lovely coffee that my date spilled on his white shirt
C. M.
This venue is growing on me. Enjoy the hidden messages and double entendres throughout.... while you enjoy your coffee of course .
B. A.
Cake was very nice so was the drinks. The staff very friendly and helpful also polite,
S. C.
Despite it's rather 'unusual' name, the coffee here is magnificent - one of the best in town!! (And I am a bit of a snob as far as coffee is concerned!!!)
B. P.
Coffee is nice but I would avoid during busy periods. The name is a bit stupid, right? Can we all acknowledge that? Lol.
N. B.
I happened upon this cafe accidentally. And it was quite good. The coffee that is. The branding was probably funny in the 90s.
N. R.
Excellent coffee, variety of pastries, sandwitches and yogurt options, very nice staff and cool venue with sofas! :)
R. W.
Good quality coffee in a quirky cafe. Staff are generally friendly but the pastries are a bit on the average side.
T. K.
Probably the best coffee in the area.
Young-ish crowd and not your normal coffee place.
K. G.
Beautiful coffee. The coffee is consistently great, no matter which barista is working. Thanks
D. H.
Top quality coffee .simple as

Great coffee and lovely staff. The chicken noodle soup was incredible!!!! Will definitely be back!
C. B.
Great coffee and amazing atmosphere. Just what you expect from a coffee house
T. Y.
Pretty cool. They have this hippy vibe going, mismatched sofas and they are dog and baby friendly. Selection of food is v.limited though.
A. S.

A. C.
Great coffee and a lively atmosphere, even early in the working day. Definitely recommend stopping by if you are in the area.

A. H.
Nice cafe, friendly staff, mixture of chairs/tables and sofas to chill out on. Good selection. 👍
D. H.
No other coffee shop or brand has a better name.
A. K.
This is the hang out spot everyone needs. Laptop and dogs friendly, comfy sofas, friendly atmosphere as if it wasn't London, strangers talking, great deco and that coffee!
J. S.
great chai tea! and they have a loyalty card, like the old school "get six and the seventh is free" punch out cards.. which i like
R. C.
Great tasting coffee with unique interior, don't forget to bring your Mac to fit in though!
T. A.
Hip coffee place with good music and great organic coffe, the staff are super nice!

S. O.
Great coffee and desserts. Lived the vegan options and nice selection
C. F.
Very good coffee but annoying that they don’t offer proper cups/mugs when sitting in.
Z. B.
Lovely staff, amazing almond milk coffees and a great relaxing place to hang out for a while.
N. T.
Lovely atmosphere and staff! Excellent and delicious coffee.
S. E.
A+, good coffee and a comfy place to chill on a laptop for a couple hours. Funny friendly staff.
A. S.
Come to watch hipsters not drink the coffee. No porcelain cups for sit in which generates a lot of non recyclable waste.
D. W.
Beautiful place, wonderful staff, decent coffee, what more can you ask for.
Z. N.
Delicious sandwich and frappe and really reasonably priced. Also found staff to be helpful and welcoming, will return
V. H.
Good service but couldn't produce Latte Macchiato for me. Had to settle for a Doppio Latte instead which was lovely though.
K. L.
Great little coffee shop with cool decor. They sell some of Ai Wei Wei's ceramic seeds by the counter! 🌻
J. B.
Quite good coffee not served by frantic barristas . Nice casual shop in hipster Bermo.
S. M.
Went there numerous times while staying in Bermondsey this summer. Great coffee and staff.
A. M.
Tasty apple strudel, good hot chocolate (although could have done with real whipped cream, not from-a-can), and good latte. Slightly surly service.
D. H.
Not my kind of place - bit pretentious (obviously given the name), but nice coffee. Not sure you can call sandwiches 'Street food'.
N. D.
Original and creative coffee shop, highly recommend to go once the lockdown is over
A. N.
Exactly what you'd expect, given the name. Very hipster-happy, but a great vibe, friendly staff and, importantly, lovely coffee!

Good coffee, reasonable price given the location. Food can be better.
C. T.
Reliably good coffee, never fails
F. C.
Coffee is so tasty and there sandwichs are amazing too.
D. H.
Nice place to visit. It's different. But I find the 1 hour ticket internet login system of theirs infuriating. So it's not an ideal place to work which may be their intention.
G. P.
Achingly trendy coffee and lunch stop. Expect beards, very nice soups and lots of healthy options.
L. F.
Nice ambience, not too much space to work. Internet was a bit flaky. Coffee was great :-)
