Lovely Sunday breakfast! The service was attentive, the cafe spacious and clean and most importantly, the halloumi bun with omelette, kimchi and spicy sauce was scrumptious! Will definitely return.

Called in for a Saturday brunch, and despite the place being rammed the service was excellent. Top class food served promptly and politely (credit to our waitress Carmen), and no sense of being rushed even though there was a queue for tables. Don't expect to get away with paying McDonald's prices though - the menu here is definitely quality driven.
Definitely recommend.

Really cute spot. Good for working. Has some vegan options - the sandwich is banging! Highly recommend

Fantastic new place in Brockley!! The coffee is delicious, the breakfast/brunch options are great and what we tried was deliciously yummy. The staff was super friendly and welcoming too!! What a great way to start the day!!

So happy to have this new coffee shop in the neighbourhood! Good coffee and delicious cake! Nice staff

Amazing coffee, welcoming staff and a really nice deconstructed carrot cake. The unique interior is amazing especially when you can ask the designers that happen to be the owners. Only thing missing are some cats 😻.

I had been wanting to venture down to Brockley for a while to check out Good as Gold. They have an excellent, regularly rotating selection of speciality coffee that’s lovingly prepared with an excellent food menu to match. I look forward to visiting again soon!

Top notch coffee, had beans and coffee accessories for sale too and my BLT was very tasty indeed. Friendly staff and very on-trend & cool decor. Would recommend.

Nice coffee and lovely bakery items . Crowded during brunch times on weekends, must book early if possible.

I usually pop in on my way into work, and while the drinks and snacks are good (blummin expensive though), the service is really not up to scratch.
I've found myself waiting patiently for ages, while the staff either avoid eye contact with you or smile at you but continue to ignore you. When you're stood there with a reusable take away cup in hand, a sizable queue forming, it can be really frustrating watching the staff just amble. If they at least took down your order so you could wait out of the way, I would feel a little less ignored and confident that I'll actually get served before I have to be at work!
I think I'd say it's a bit style over substance. Sorry folks. But having said that, the style is great! It looks super smart. I just wish the staff took a bit more care over the queuing customers.

Used to really like Good as Gold. They do good coffee and food. But they've now apparently introduced a no laptops policy on the weekend? I basically just got asked to leave for reading a pdf on my laptop in peace. It has kind of put me off. Hope they reconsider.

Went in with my girlfriend last week and had an amazing brunch. Staff are so lovely and the coffee is something else! Would highly recommend.

Excellent food and coffee. I had an amazing roast beetroot salad!
The staff were also incredibly helpful and friendly – I couldn't recommend this place more.

Always had a very good experience with this lovely cafe - great coffee, good brunch menu and friendly staff. Therefore I was a bit taken by surprise this afternoon by a rather mannerless guy at the cashier, hopefully it's just an one off.
L. G.
Great new place in Brockley. Excellent coffee, breakfasts and pastries. Staff are very friends. Highly recommend.

Very tasty breakfast and a good selection. Very busy but managed to get a "walk in" table without having to wait too long.

Am so glad these guys opened up in Brockley! Amazing coffee and food - especially the friday specials (eg meatball sub which is so so good).
C. C.
Really enjoyed the espresso from here - the daily blend and the Christmas roast were both beautiful.

Lovely cafe, a breath of fresh air to that side of the station and great options of food as well. Happy to have another place for brekkie nearby!

My colleague and I were on the hunt for a decent coffee…. As paramedics this becomes your secondary mission. Let me tell you… we weren’t let down. A recommendation of banana bread (with the enthusiasm that I could not ignore) was embraced with gusto and matched with an excellent coffee. Definitely in my top 5 (not in Brockley much)

Great ambiance: excellent coffee; super breakfast. All round a most welcoming experience

Hidden away in Brockley, this place really take their coffee seriously and it shows. Best coffee for miles around, probably as good as anywhere in London. I've not tried much of their food but the focaccia was great. Hope this place stays around because I really like it!

Great coffee. Great food. Great vibes. Thanks for the lovely afternoon ✌🏻❤️

Minimalist industrial interior with a smattering of houseplants. Tasty brunch menu. Great coffee. Nice toilet. Friendly and quick service.

Aweaome little newcomer. Stripped back style inside, industrial-chic. Coffee was great; sandwiches look awesome but were sold out for us. Staff were super friendly. Go expecting a queue, but its worth the wait!!
S. B.
Stumbled across this spot while driving through the area. Amazing coffee and pastries. The barista was super friendly too! Highly recommend

Their Sunday brunch is really good, especially the waffles. Coffee on par with Browns of Brockley, which is also just excellent.

With a name like 'Good as Gold' I was sceptical. Gold, chemical element with the symbol Au (from Latin: aurum) and atomic number 79, making it one of the higher atomic number elements that occur naturally, is one of my favourite metals. Gold has the highest corrosion resistance of all the metals and it is corroded only by a mixture of nitric and hydrochloric acid. Gold is a noble metal because it does not oxidise. I passed the new establishment on my walk to pilates after dropping the children off at school and the cockapoo off at the dog sitter, and I thought to myself 'how on earth can this coffee be truly as good as gold!?'. How can one small cup of Joe be as good as the precious metal desired and fought over by humankind since the start of time ?! Well, I simply had to find out. I walked into the cafe. I ordered a coffee. i admired the plants. I thought to myself 'wow, this is the kind of gentrification of the other side of Brockley I'd be waiting for since I bought a 5 bedroom house with a conservatory using my inheritance three years ago'. I saw tote bags, i saw avocado toast, i saw oat milk and I saw people on linked in on their laptops. I knew i belonged! And then came the taste test. I sipped my coffee, already prepared to be disappointed - how could this coffee compare to that butter yellow metal i hold so dear to my hear?! Well, I was wrong. That coffee really was as good as gold! Smooth, rich, delicious, strong, acidic, sweet, sour, invigorating. That one sip of coffee took me on a journey. I saw my life flash before my eyes - I saw myself as 5 years old playing in the garden of my parents holiday home in the Cotswalds, I saw myself as a teen doing up my tie on my way to Latin class at my very exclusive all girls boarding school, I saw myself in my twenties at my first job in PR going for drinks with the girls in Kensington. I looked down into the silky and expertly foamed oat milk in my cup, and starting back at me I saw myself, but better. I was more beautiful, my face looked slimmer, my skin was more even, my eye bags were gone. I realised my usual worried has dissipated - I wasn't worrying about wether Ava would get into the school with the good ofsted ratings that we moved house specifically to be in the catchment area of (thus pricing out less well off people from being able to attend good schools, but we are just desperate for her to learn French as we go skiing in the west Alps every year so I do think it is fair enough), I wasn't concerned about my Ocado shop being late OR about weather or not to open a small boutique selling organic eco children's toys and organic wines. my mind was clear, my future was bright. All that from one small cup of joe! And that is why the coffee at this establishment really is Good as Gold.

This is one of the BEST Specialty coffee stores this side of the river. Located a Windmill Street, a short 5 minute walk from Tottenham Court Road Station it is a MUST visit if you’re in the area.
The quaint flora filled store is home to two artisans (Anthony and Tom) who have near mastered the art of high-quality service. Inside you’ll be greeted with a hearty welcome, eased into an extremely mellowed atmosphere. GoodAsGold serves as the perfect place to finish up some work, read a book or just sit and stare out the window. Their house espresso from Caravan Coffee, is tuned to create the perfect cup for whatever you choose, whether you drink espresso’s or flat whites, you’re sure to find yourself racing for another cup.
