The place is spacious (great for groups) while at the same time you can find your own place if you are on your own. The latte I had was rather good. This place was an absolute lifesaver during lockdown. One of the only, if not the only, coffee shop open in Clerkenwell. Kind staff, careful consideration of social distancing due to covid, tasty goods, and - again- a lifeline for me in spring 2020. I'll stay a loyal customer for life.

Really nice chilled out cafe. I had a flat white which was really good. The staff were friendly and service was quick. It’s a nice place to meet friends or read a book and had some super comfy sofas. It didn’t feel pretentious like some of the cafes can. I particularly liked the Sinclair C5 they had up on display! Definitely somewhere I’d come back to.

My local coffee joint. The interior is trendy and there's plenty of sofas to kick back on and relax with friends or with your favourite show. There's also desks scattered about to do work on and it's dog friendly. The toilet facilities are always clean and staff are ALWAYS pleasant and up for a chat. The food and bakery items are prepped daily so they're always fresh and the coffee is 11/10!

Very good coffee, but above all the atmosphere is amazing. You can spend a whole day with your coffee cup and a book (plenty of funny titles on the shelves) or your computer (work desks available - though the sofas look much more comfortable). Great staff.

My workplace is very close to this coffee shop. So I have been to this place innumerous number of time. And I cannot stop praising this place. First of all, the taste of coffee. I personally neither like very strong coffee nor very light. This place is just awesome to make what I want. Also all my friends and colleagues whoever have been there always praised the taste.. and not only of coffee but of all other drinks like smoothie, hot chocolate, tea everything. Different kinds of milk are served so suitable for vegans. The place is beautiful. Cozy, well maintained, nice graphiti on the wall, a nice mirror... I can sit there for a long and long staring at them. The staff are very nice always. Highly recommend.

This used to be my favourite local coffee shop for the past 4 years, however 3 recent visits really put me off. Staff has been really unpleasant. At first, I though it's just one team member having a bad day but after all recent visits I've had multiple disappointing experiences. With me trying to be kind and always saying hi and how are you, I don't even get a smile back, more so not even a thank you + getting my loyalty card thrown back at me so abruptly. All in all, I do understand it's tough times for everyone but staff here just seems unhappy and energy is really off. I never expect having a conversations or top notch service but a smile and "have a good day" is not too much to ask and it's a common practice in all other coffee shops I've been visiting around. Wish they had their old lovely staff! Those were the times.

Cute and quirky place with pretty nice coffee, has people working on laptops but also nice comfy sofas to sit on. If you're in the area you should definitely have a coffee here, but I wouldn't necessarily go all the way here just to have coffee here if that makes sense. But might be a good option if you've been to the Barbican and you are looking for a place to relax with a nice coffee. Also open on Sundays which is a bonus because not a lot of places are in this area.

I've been going to this cafe for years. Baristas here make really good coffee! It used to feel expensive , but now the prices seem ok, considering they don't charge extra for different milk options! Love Oat milk latte here. The food on the other hand is not so great. The best is panini selection, toasted and served with crisps. Croissants are good too. The rest is kind of ok. Still giving it a 5star review, as it's probably the best coffee around

Really nice vibe with some lovely local brands of food and drink stocked. Prices are ok for London and the staff are really friendly if not the most attentive. The stool I was sat on broke from under me. Nobody came to help me not the poor man who ended up with half of my coffee over his pullover. My colleague and I were left to clean up our spill and move the broken stool out of harm's way. There are loads of comfy sofas and tables to have meetings/ work from as well as simply have a nice catch up with friends from. Loyalty cards are handy and the location is too.

The coffee is high quality, but somehow the place doesn't have a friendly / happy feel about it. E.g. they have The Sun lying around prominently, which is an odd sight in this otherwise modern looking cafe. Small stuff like that that makes me want to leave as soon as I get my coffee (which I do occasionally)

I am an American studying abroad currently and stumbled upon Goswell Coffee about two days in. This place has become the go-to study spot for my classmates and I along with our professor. They have so many great options for food and coffee, my favorite being the chocolate biscuit with sea salt. I also am I huge fan of the music selection that is played, I just find myself jamming out the entire time I am here. Love this place!

This is perfection in decor, food and of course coffee. The nata are divine, as are the other pastries. The soups are very good and there's a wide selection of fresh juices. But the real reason to go, is the coffee: latte, cappucino.... you can't go wrong. The coffee blend and the method of production makes a coffee that is not bitter and yet retains its strength.

This is one of those coffee places that you happen upon, without looking for it. It had one of those quirky signs outside with a thought of the day I think when I first went in, there seems to be a few coffee places in the area that are a bit of a walk from Old Street. I'd say this is worth the extra 5 minute walk as it has nice coffee, comfy sofas (some leather Chesterfields!?), free WiFi and big windows to people watch. I think you can also keep your bike inside on a rack too, if you have one, which I thought was a nice addition. I would recommend this place, especially those going to SkillsMatter just down the road to take a short walk to come here.

Walking in might make you feel like you're no longer cool with its attention-grabbing decor and a menu with things like ***** Sanchez – that makes me want to know what it is, but asking what it means also saying "What's in a ***** Sanchez?" – the coffee is spot on. The couches are comfy, the place is well-lit and the wifi works. Old Street workers don't seem to know this spot exists, but for those who frequently grab their java here, it doesn't bother them one bit.
