I hadn’t been back to this area for 20 years. I was worried that the Pie & Mash of my childhood would be ruined. However, the same chef and server were still there which made my heart warm. The food was and still is as great as I had remembered. The pie…. That pastry is like no other. The best in the world!! Been back twice since. 6 out of 5. Highly recommend this Pie & Eel House!!

One of the best pie and mashes I've had, lovely smooth mash, heaps of thick liquor and a deep pie with loads of filling. I liked that it was in more of a bowl rather than a plate, it was almost like a pie soup! The shop was clean and I was served quickly with my family even at a busy time of day. Very pleased, will be sneaking back as soon as I get a chance

You will feel as if you've stepped into another era what with Harrington's tired decor and church pew-like benches, but this is more than made up for by their food! Tender stewed eels, a lovely pie, served with plenty of mash and liquor - and to top it off, a nice cup of tea served by beaming staff. A hidden gem!

I've been going here since I was little and it never disappoints. Amazing food, good prices and very family friendly. I always get a sense of nostalgia whenever I go. So I was challenged by my friends to try pie and mash on my trip to the UK. So I made my way down to this location Harrington's which has been around for a very long time. And I tried the pie and mash with liquor the green sauce it was really interesting I must say. The texture was something that I had never felt before a little bit slimy a little bit gravy like, and you had options of putting spicy and or regular some sort of vinegar I think it might have been a malt I'm not sure. And the pie and mash I believe had lamb in it and potatoes mashed potatoes it was really an interesting dish I never heard of. But I got through it and I have to say I might have it again if I go to the UK and my friends want to have it but it's not my favorite but it's still pretty cool. I like the fact that there's a lot of history behind this dish it's a working man's meal and I'm assuming during the war this was a very popular entree. The people that run the place were very friendly and humble. So if I ever come back to the UK I'll definitely dare my friends to try it that haven't tried it.

Well what can I say. The best pie and mash in town. This shop is now run by the grand daughter who is lovely and has kept everything authentic. The long tables and benches, the tiled walls and even the pie tins and trays. Good value for money as well. Highly recommended

love this place, born and bred in Tooting and been coming here for years. Best liqour in London in my opinion and great prices. The exterior could really use a paint job as v scruffy but the authentic interior is great. One of the last pie and mash shops south of the river as far as i know Update for 2019: Harrington's has had a complete refurb and they did a great job, its a lot less scruffy now and nicer for eating in and having a chat. A shame they didn't keep some of the original touches like the pew-style seats, but don't worry, the pie and mash tastes just as good as ever!

Tasty pie and mash, they serve it in a bowl so you get plenty of liqour. Perfect food. Interior and exterior is a bit dated and run down, but it adds to the atmosphere.

Makes a great change from all the curry shops in the area. Harringtons are a simple, uncomplicated pie & mash shop that is a local institution and have been going since the 50's. They even serve those soft drinks in a plastic carton. Well worth dropping in for a double pie & mash :-)

Drove to London today from Northamptonshire today just for the pie mash at Selkirk road..My dad came from tooting and lived in there as a kid ..I've have tried other pie mash shops but NONE compare to this...the food is fantastic and so tasty... I have been driving there for years..my sisters brother daughters and grandkids all go there for the tasty grub.... GO try it you won't regret it...the decor is the same as it's always been and I love it...it makes me feel like Im coming home everytime I walk through the doors. I have been eating here for over 60 years and my father and grandfather as well... the Galleon painting on the wall has been there I guess from day one.. the original marble top tables all adds to the best grub in town..it's the only thing I miss from the UK when living Abroad for a few months every year ... proper grub triple pie double mash liquor and eels the best..

I first went to Harringtons as a child with my mum and the decor hasn't changed one bit in all the years I've been going there but their triple pie and double mash n liqure in my opinion is second to none and it's the only pie n mash shop that I will eat at and I am willing to travel how ever far I have too for my pie n mash at the Tooting Harringtons as no other pie n mash shop comes anywhere near to the quality of their home made pies so if you are looking for an orthentic pie n mash shop you need to go to Harringtons in Tooting for the best pie n mash in the whole of London.
