I ordered via Deliveroo. The hot chocolate was very chocolaty, but not as tasty as I expected based on the reviews. It wasn’t bad at all, just wouldn’t pay £5 for it ever again.. I tried the avocado toast which was £9. The price is standard, but I didn’t really enjoy it. For the same price I’d rather go Le Pain Quotidien and get a better toast. I’d give it another try since people seem to love this place, I just don’t see why as of yet… I’d definitely try it again and see if anything changes as I love supporting independent cafes over chains.

My favourite local coffee shop, always great service and always happy to have a chat whilst they busy about (they know most of the people who come in, and remember their normal order - the advantage of going to an independent over a chain). Coffee is consistently great, and the Acai bowl I am slightly addicted too (handy hint: always add peanut butter).

Ordered a vegan pain au chocolat and latte with oat milk. Amazing coffee and croissant. I think both were better than the regular non vegan versions you would get elsewhere. The seating area inside is really aesthetic, somewhere to go with your friends for a chill vibe. Highly recommend! 👌🏻

An ideal place for grey October days. They have great roasted coffee and a wide selection of teas and many sweet delicacies. It’s a small area but there’s quite some space in the back. Staff is very friendly and helpful. The location is a bit far off the very frequented areas and hence you’ll encounter more locals (however it tends to be quite busy in the afternoon). In any case, highly recommended.

Swung by today and grabbed a vegan almond croissant and cinnamon bun. I can confirm it was the best almond croissant I’ve in years (incl. non vegan ones). Crispy outside and loads of filling inside. Service was very friendly and genuine thank you! Hope to have time for a coffee next time.

I was really excited to have a coffee here and I always walk pass it (when it's closed) and I made an effort to get there today when it was open! And I definitely believe in supporting local coffee shops!! However, sadly what I had was not appropriate. I understand you need to train your staff, but please do so by making coffee amongst your colleagues or if you're giving it to a customer, for free/discounted (if the customer wants it). The coffee I had was not as hot as it should, watery and a bit on the stronger side. Given this was my first visit, I was unfortunate enough to be in part of an unexpected training session where I paid the full amount for. Such a shame as I hoped my experience would be better. Please don't do this again when training new members of staff. EDIT: After being contacted by Holy Shot Coffee, they have agreed that this should not have happened under any circumstance and have rectified by providing the same order again free of charge. Thank you for understanding and taking the time and effort to listen to your customers - not all shops are as humble as yours. Hopefully this attitude continues with the future growth of Holy Shot Coffee.

Holyshot is The premium when it comes to speciality coffee shops. The shop is very bright, with touches of earthy colours, beautiful Marble top tables and a beautiful Golden coffee machine as the centre piece, very aesthetically pleasing to be in. The coffee, specifically the hot chocolate is a winner, with 3 different choices to choose from. THE PLANT MILK IS FREE! XD The staff are awesome, each of them having their own individualistic personalities, fashion orientated, laid back, calming, fun, happy, laughter inducing at times. The Inshop products are pretty cool, a Holyshop coffee cup is my favourite thing ever! As it currently stands there isn’t a better coffee shop that has this perfect balance.

Cozy, chill small cafe with good amount of seating, benches and comfy individual chairs. The mocha frappe was delicious but rather sweet, i wish there was the option of just iced mocha. The almond lemons cake we got was rather dry and had an overpowering tartness as an aftertaste, but still palatable.

Me and my partner were strolling bricklane wanting a coffee and saw this place and just went for it. We were so glad we did. All the milk alternatives you could ask for, syrup too, a range of pastries, toasties, avo toast and granola. Books, many, many plants, wifi and plug sockets - I'll definitely be back to spend an afternoon working here! Again the coffee is delicious!!! Already wanting a second cup.

First things first: the coffee is delicious. I asked for a regular latte and I found myself sipping slowly, enjoying every second of it. Right temperature, right taste, smooth. You can feel the mix of milk and coffee perfectly. Secondly, the environment. Relaxed enough to work with your laptop or enjoy the music while looking at people passing by. Great place.

The coffee is great but I think it is overpriced. On top of that, I was very surprised this morning when I didn't get a free coffee after buying 1kg of coffee beans. It is probably the only coffee shop in the area that doesn't give a coffe for free after spending 34£ in beans. It's a pitty but definitely I won't be coming back. **This a reply to the Coffee shop's response: Thanks for taking the time to reply. I have given 3 stars because apart of the fact of not getting a free coffee with the beans, I honestly think your products are overpriced. And I hope you understand I am entitled to give the review I believe it's fair and true from my point of view. I have addressed the query about the free coffe with one of yout waiters but I didn't get any explanation apart from that you don't do it. Having said that I have bought the beans, a pastry and the coffee because I believe in supporting local shops. Then you have to understand that maybe the discounts you provide in your coffe shop might not be worthy for everybody. Anyway thanks for the offer of the free drink. All the best

Fantastic independent that has been open since 2016 [next to a coffee place that is guised as one but is actually a chain]. Dropped by for the CBD hot chocolate as recommended by a housemate and it didn't fail to delight my buds and imbue me with a gentle sense of wellbeing. Had a 50/50 caramel and dark chocolate with oat milk and it was silky smooth and decadent. Service was also a delight; naturally genial, engaged, and seemed happy to work there. Will be back for another round! Thanks!

Holy Shot do the best mocha in London. They offer two choices of chocolate mixed in with their Caravan coffee and the 70% is incredible. There's friendly service, great snacks and they used to have a good range of books. Also some groceries since the outbreak.

Loved it! We were in London for a conference and on Sunday visited Brick Lane Market. We called here for coffee on our wanderings. Lovely interior, coffee was lovely with a choice of non dairy milk which always gets a 'thank you' from me. We didn't have food but it looked amazing. Vibrant and welcoming.

Working in the local area I tend to stick to coffee from large chains, Costa Starbucks ect which are nice and easy to get and well known. I was recommended to try this coffee shop and have been now twice before leaving this review. Prices are exactly the same as the large chain coffee shops Coffees are made from plant based milk and having only ordered walnut latte so far they are by far the best lattes I've ever drunk!! Service is lovely staff both times have been really friendly and explained all the different types of milk for the drinks. It's a buzzing cafe with a lot of people inside but always space to find a seat if you need. Haven't had to wait to order and plenty of space Inside. Interior is very pleasurable as it doesn't look like your typical coffee shop with wooden floors and seatings. Deffinetly reccomend to anyone who hasn't tried plant based coffees and for anyone who is a coffee lover anyway, or to anyone in the area or looking to pass a bit of time!

When I say this may be one of the best coffee shops I’ve ever been to in regards to coffee and customer service, I am not exaggerating. They are so friendly and the coffee is amazing.

Excellent soy latte made by a welcoming owner who knows everything there is to know about coffee, and cares about every one he makes. A comfortable space to relax a minutes walk from the top of Brick Lane. Plenty of interesting books to read too if you want to switch off for a bit. Highly recommend, do visit!

One of my go-to spots for coffee in the area and the best Acai Bowl I've had in the UK. Nice but cramped atmosphere, and a newly renovated bathroom. The service is friendly too. The food can be a bit spotty (avoid the BLT, for instance) and occasionally the coffee is bitter, but it's still one of the better coffee shops in an area spoiled for choice.
