L. F.My search for the best coffee in London is over. As someone who moved here from Melbourne, it’s fair to say I know my coffee. I started to give up until I tried here. Friendly staff & fabulous coffee - lucky me as it’s local. Also the cup design is excellent and enviro friendly as it’s compostable & biodegradable.

Probably expected more due to super ratings on Maps (was recommended).

R. S.This is an amazing coffee shop! The coffee is beautiful and responsibly sourced. They also carry a line of beans to take away that are single origin, farmed by women. Did I mention how good the coffee is? If you love great coffee, come here.
j. j.My favourite little coffee spot in London. Everything is made to the highest standards, different range of coffee beans and home equipment available. Most importantly the baristas and owners are warm, kind and knowledgeable, I always leave with a smile and a beautiful coffee.

The space is cozy with bright pastels and lots of charm. Would highly recommend to anyone passing through or living in West Hempstead. It’s situated nicely, close to all the stations.

R. E. G.I love Intermission! They’re based in West Hampstead but it’s very much a destination coffee shop as I don’t have the pleasure of living in NW6 but I’ll excitedly travel there to get caffeinated by these lovely people!
Intermission feels very much like a coffee person’s coffee shop. Not only do they roast their own coffee but they’re also keen to showcase the work of other high end roasters (Curve, Round Hill, Strangers and Coffee Collective among others). Staff are highly knowledgeable as well as friendly and take great care and attention in what they do. I’m always impressed with their choice of coffees to go with milk and I love their cappuccino—with actual frothy milk! Also they don’t charge extra for non-dairy milk alternatives. Fab pastries are from Hedone and Fortitude. The place is spartan yet colourful.

As I went for a walk this morning I stumbled across Intermission Coffee. I was served by two lovely gents, one played with my dog and chatted to me while the other made my coffee to an amazing standard and chatted to me also.
This is a local gem in the area!!
Support this small coffee shop rather than the big chains!!!

A. M.This is a great little artisanal coffee shop selling quality coffee made from beans that are ethically sourced and delivered in biodegradable cups if you haven't already got a reusable cup.
Service was friendly, engaging, personable and polite and my coffee was made with great skill and care.
The store itself is bright, clean and airy with a good balance of plants and a small seating area for when the world returns to normal.
Its found across the road from the Jubilee line West Hampstead station, around the corner from the West Hampstead overground station facing the same open space as Marks and Spencer.
If you like good quality coffee that is made with care I would highly recommend.

H.New favourite coffee shop in West Hampstead. The interior has a cool, modern feel with raw materials and plants aplenty. The staff are very friendly and happy to chat. There is a clear focus on sustainability and ethical practice on their sourcing which is admirable. Most importantly though, the coffee is delicious! Bit more expensive than a Costa, but you get what you pay for and support good practices!
A. H.Good quality coffee and prompt service. The only downsides are the price (similar cafes offer the same up to 20% less) and the fact that the staff does not recognize regulars, hence you feel you have ordered for the first time and disconnected from the brand.
