Reviews of Kaffeine
A. B.
The young lady with a delightful Scottish accent served us and generally cleared-up and took care of our table by the window/entrance.
What an absolute diamond this person is.
Polite, courteous and all-round one of the most nicest persons I've met working in a coffee shop.
Kaffeine comes highly rated and I can see why, employing such staff.
A cute, small quaint location and the long black I had was excellent.
I can't comment on the hot chocolate but my guest did say this was nice.
Worth visiting, just mind the step when you go in and leave.
If you tip (online) via.a QR code, staff receive this directly.
Good setup!

Came here this afternoon for a quick coffee and had a great time. The baristas were super friendly and nice. Had a beautiful cup of coffee too. The food looked great and fresh but I didn't get any.
The outdoor seating looks nice too but none was available so had to sit inside but was plenty of space and very chill vibe.
Definitely recommend if you're in the area and looking for a great coffee on the go or to sit in.
If you liked my review feel free to give it a 👍 and follow on Google Maps for more reviews!

I've been coming to Kaffeine for a few years - I always go out of my way to visit when I am near Oxford Circus. They have never let me down with the quality of their coffee. It's a nice spot to sit also. I always feel confident bringing a friend here that they will have something delicious to try. The beans for sale are always fresh and interesting. I especially love how they serve their espresso with a little palate cleanser such as cold brew green tea - I wish more shops would do this.
N. S.
Tried their latte, cappuccino and Portuguese tart. The coffee was great and the tart was delicious! The place is a small if you want to sit and work.
H. S.
Overall I liked the coffee, and the staff are really friendly but I don’t know why the latte has white bits floating… Part of the milk I guess?
G. V.
First time visiting and would definitely come back. The ambience is just nice, love how they also have outdoor sitting. Aside from their amazing coffee, they have wide choice of snacks as well, many you could not found in a regular coffee-shop in London. Worth a visit!
L. S.
Had food and drinks today here after a disappointing visit to another restaurant in the same street. Very happy that we didn’t eat in the other place as we discovered kaffeine. Food was really delicious, their pancakes idea is unique, maple and coffee that mix of flavours works. The egg with hollandais was really good as well. We had flat white and hot chocolate after the meal and both as one of the best we had in London. Staff were so nice and friendly and the prices are very reasonable. We will become a regular.
N. A.
Super cute & cozy place for coffee. The staff were helpful in recommending the mushrooM dish in which was really good. Loved that ppl were chilled there & shared tables with other random people.
B. U.
This is hands down, the best coffee spot in London. The soya latte is heavenly. The spot is chic, clean and edgy. It's for the serious but sexy. The humble but ambitious, it's a real coffee shop.
D. H.
Their coffee is just amazing. The chilled tea they serve with the espresso perfectly balances out the strongly acidic taste of the coffee. The dark chocolate brownie was jummy, much tastier than usual brownies you might eat somewhere else. The staff is very friendly!
The chairs are not the most comfortable, and the prices are a bit higher. In this case, I don't mind paying more, as you get everything you pay for, and more.
M. U.
Very nice place to spend an hour coffee break. Had a cold brew coffee which was served on ice. Serving it without ice but cold would be a better idea. Still very tasty though. Cakes and bakes are all delicous. Place has a very clean toilet. Sitting outside is fun.
O. T.
Love this place. Coffee always high quality and stuff always nice and friendly.
Iced latte worth special mentioning, cause it’s one of the places where they make it, so you still feel coffee and not just milk.
E. B.
One of the original 'third wave' coffee shops in London, and consistently one of the best. Fantastic coffee served perfectly in a small but well-designed space. A nice spot to sit outside too and watch the world go by (if you’ve got time!) Plenty of tempting snacks too.
P. v. d. B.
The service is superb. Also a lot.of staff on the shop. The pastries to go with coffee and hot sandwiches are really food. The espresso is a little too acid for me. (The new way of espresso as I like to call it) it's always busy at.this place, but you'll find a spot to sit .... the tea to.go with your coffee in stead of water is a nice touch.
L. C.
excellent coffee, banana bread, toast & jam. very friendly service too. best for take away than for a relaxed chat with a partner though, since place is tiny and even at just before 8am we only managed to get a corner seat at one of a handful of low (not really comfy) tables
B. R.
Coffee is a really high standard. My girlfriend really enjoyed the food. Menu changes weekly I believe so always fresh stuff to try. Vibes are good, with pleasant outside seating.
A. R.
I really like this place. I'm a (beginer) coffee enthusiast and while I love their coffee their latte is still quite strong for me, but... I like it!
C. O.
A really cosy place for tasty brunch. Coffee was lovely, I had a cappuccino with oat milk and it was so smooth and had a great texture to it. Definitely one of the best coffees I've had. I had the vegan avocado toast which was very tasty and the portion was a good size. The café was well-staffed and all staff were very friendly and happy, giving the place a wonderful atmosphere. I'd definitely love to come back to try some of their vegan cake!
P. Y.
Very good coffee, I had salmon croissant too which taste very good too. The staffs are friendly. Though the cafe was very busy, they make sure my table is clear of cups and plates which I was done with, and constantly had my drinking water glass filled with fresh drinking water. They also don't judge when I wanted to stay longer to finish up writing my journal so I felt stress-free though in a busy environment. 👍🏻😊
K. I. (.
Coffee and cakes were good. But it's quite a small little cafe. Not much space to sit comfortably. Best just do a take away.
R. A.
I had a great visit at Kaffeine today with my cousin who always knows where the great places of London are.
She said we had to get the flight, which starts with a delicious espresso, followed by a delicious cool green tea - Jasmine with a little something extra, finishing with a flat white. The coffees and the tea were splendid! The espresso had a beautiful texture and an almost syrupy quality. The tea was clean and floral with a bit of fruit, and the flat white was masterfully done.
We got a white chocolate blueberry muffin to enjoy with it. It was also delicious with a very nice texture.
The crew were really smiley and welcoming, and clearly very proud of the quality of their product. I thoroughly recommend that you give it a try.

For the last 2 years of living in Fitzrovia, Kaffiene has been my go to place for coffee and breakfast. It's a humble coffee shop that serves good brioche and excellent coffee. I especially like the atmosphere and environment of this place. We often come here to read and get some work done. They have enough tables and high stools to accommodate groups. Some times you just need to share. At the back of the room, you'll find more seats, but I generally like to be seated by the window :)
A. A.
I know this coffee roaster and i expected a good taste, unfortunately when I decided to try the coffee flight i was quite disappointed. It included flat white, where I could taste mostly milk, not coffee, espresso shot, which was very bitter and i don't understand why but in the middle it was green tea! Why would u add green tea, normally filter is offered, I would change... Also the place is small and quite cold inside. There're some snacks available...
I. R. T.
The coffee is great , friendly staff and may had the best pain au chocolat ever! Definitely recommend this amazing place , just go there very early because it gets crazy busy and the cafe is small.
I. L.
Popular coffee place and now I can see why. Flat white was nice and strong just how it should be and the little Portuguese tart was a treat.
H. B.
Good Coffees (I tried the espresso & flat white). But Not as good as Workshop Coffee (in the Same neighbourhood). Try them both! They both make excellent coffees. Kaffeine has Some good Looking Cakes & Sandwiches. No WiFi. Didn’t like the Music the played that much. Crowded on the saterday afternoon we visited. Good vibe. Oh.. almost no power plugs to reload your phone (behind the bar is One - one of the Girls behind the counter was so friendly to plug me in 👍).
F. A.
One of the best cafe’s in london
R. Ó. D.
The sandwich here was a thing of pure class. Kind of like when your Dad surprise's you with the sandwich he knows you love. Only problem was they wouldn't give me the recipe, can't blame them.
A. P.
Possibly the best coffee in central. Working near-by for a few year I probably spent my future retirement in oat Flat White with Banana Bread. And regret nothing.
I.
Very cute place with such a nice atmosphere! Sadly no WiFi
L. T. T.
cosy coffee spot conveniently located in central london :) been here several times and felt that the coffee is slightly on the acidic side but in a good way - i usually don’t like acidic coffee but really enjoyed the ones here!
N. K.
Excellent coffee and desserts.
Quite limited space though so may but be the best choice if you are concerned about COVID
m. m.
kaffeine - so good they named it twice! Actually they didn't - but they certainly should have as this place is just about perfect. Fantastic coffee, cakes and really friendly staff all make for a great place to stop when in the West End.
I. S.
The one time I got here and it was empty! It's always busy because it's so good. But the staff are very efficient at moving queues forward so wait times are not bad at all. Excellent coffee!
G. T.
Delicious banana bread, nice coffee albeit a bit burnt. Could improve with the coffee taste but otherwise lovely!
b. H.
Love the coffee and the lemon poppyseed vegan cake is just sooo good. Definitely will be returning
C. W.
Lovely little place. The food is absolutely amazing. Breakfast Brioche - Cotechino sausage, fried egg and gruyere cheese was fabulous! Will definitely go back!
C. M.
Great espresso, decent range of fresh pastries and cakes (not bought in stuff in cellophane). Their almond butter is probably the best I've ever had. Plenty of space outside to leave your bike in the morning.
N. S.
Cozy coffee shop with friendly baristas and great coffee
S. J.
Stylish interior, beautifully designed for a relaxing coffee break. Best coffees and friendly staff, what more could you want!
H. C.
Amazing coffee.
Delicious banana bread.
Would highly recommend!
F. C. M.
Lovely little cafe with a cozy seating space inside. The latte I had was very nice, as was the almond croissant. Staff were very friendly. The place has no Wi Fi for customers at this time.
A. A.
Great service and really nice little coffee place with delicious & quality food and cosy atmosphere. I would love to recommend Kaffeine.
P. F.
Nice coffee shop with quality brew. During summer there is a great deal of outdoor seating which is awesome. The espresso is served with a small cold tea mix which is a nice touch.
E. M.
There are two benches outside. They both have espresso based coffees and also brewed coffee. İnterior is stylish and natural.
V. Y.
Amazing coffee and Lamingtons!! Cute little place. Food looks nice too. A bit disappointed that they dont have chai latte on the menu and the only non coffee option is tea.
P. L.
Met up with a friend and sat outside, had a mackerel salad and it was delicious! Real attention to flavour, and a healthy portion too! I avoided the (carb) temptations of the cakes and cookies but did allow myself a hot chocolate.
M. S.
Yes, check it, not just another coffee shop!
I've discovered it via European Coffee Trip, definitely one of the top coffee experiences in London. We served Flat White, it was well defined, good balanced coffee maybe could be a bit warmer the milk, at least for my taste.
R. D.
Lovely staff. Great coffee. I could spend hours in here
M. H.
Great Coffee and Food! Staff really nice, but service a little slow.
M. G.
Absolutely love Kaffeine. Incredible coffee, delicious pastries and cakes (their banana bread is the best in London) and the owner and staff are always super friendly. If you're an Antipodean missing family come here for that homely feeling.
M. O. P.
One of the best cups of coffee I've had in London (and thats a hell of a compliment coming from a Colombian). The lemon and poppyseed cake was really yummy too. Highly recommended.
A. F.
Just arriving from Paris, that’s the best coffee and banana bread I was eating since a long time ! So tasty 😋 and such a nice welcoming from the staff ! See you soon
v.
Great place with delicious coffee. Clean toilets with Asope soap. Small place, not for big group of people. Latte - £3, macchiato- £2.70 to stay.
D. A. S.
My father has owned a coffee roastery for over 40 years so growing up I’ve drank my fair share of different blends. Kaffeine is fantastic, coffee is delicious and staff have been welcoming. Great stuff!
M. B.
Delightful small, trendy, busy. Limited selection of tasty eats, granola below, filled croissants/ran out by 11:00 on a Sunday morning. Probably not designed to linger long. Recommended.
J. L.
Excellent coffee and really tasty baguette. I had one with beef, plums and what I guess was goat cheese, a really tasty combo I would have never thought of. I really recommend this place.
A. G.
Great coffee and good food. Tried toasted banana bread and was surprised how tasty it was considering I had only had it in cake form before. Will definitely return if in the area 👍🏻.
R. T.
Really lovely place with a super friendly team. I’ve been walking my dog there most days to get a coffee and sometimes one of their breakfast buns! I have really liked it. The only thing I would like to see there, is more variety of coffee in the hopper as they only seem to use red brick from square mile. Although it’s a great house blend, so many coffee houses use it in London that it has become boring to me.
Having something a bit more bright and fruity would be great for me personally. (This is legit the only thing I could say against the place but still would keep going back!)
N. B.
On a dreadfully blustery and drizzly day, my wife and I arrived to Kaffeine via a black Prius Uber. Our driver showed incredible deftness, inching between a logjam of vehicles with only a few inches to spare. When it happened, I mostly expected to hear the slow unpleasant sound of metal scraping on metal. Our driver, however, prevailed.
When we entered Kaffeine we were met with an incredible display of edibles: from a tomato and mozzarella scroll to a delicious fruit salad with yogurt option; croissants, thick cut fresh fruit breads, porridge with the works, Aussie tarts and more.
We sprung for a pair of cappuccinos: delicious if not a little bright with a only a light head of foam. As cappuccino afficionados, we found theirs a bit on the wet side but not altogether unpleasant.
The banana bread I found sublime. It was nearly a porridge bread, incredibly moist, but with a very pleasant crust on its open and sides due to a hearty toasting.
The yogurt and fruit wasn't the best, but it did "fill the void" as my father used to say.
Altogether, a delightful Cafe.
B. J.
The Cappuccino I ordered was pretty great! As well as the Portuguese Tart, not too sweet, just right :)
I wanted to order to brunch menu but I was late— the brunch menu is only ‘till 2pm, so if you want it you’d have to go there early
N. T.
The lemon poppyseed muffin is great. The latte is also really good. I like that there is a tasty palate cleanser offered with the espresso. The espresso tasted burnt. Space is limited, so be prepared to takeout
H. E.
This is a lovely place to get some food and a coffee. There is space to sit down but it can get busy (which is a good sign to show how decent this place is). There is a wide selection of food here and they cater for vegetarians here too. Keep up the top work.
Ν. Λ.
Cozy cafe with lovely things. We had a quick breakfast and we enjoyed coffee and sandwiches. The sweet croissant was not very fresh, but in general it’s a nice place!
S. D. J.
Excellent coffee, probably the best in the area. It wouldn't hurt if the staff could crack a smile here and there, be a bit friendlier. Sanitising the tables in between customers would also be nice.
F. A.
Great espresso
Delicious sweet bits
Nice atmosphere
Good price
Great service
Outdoor seats: available (nice)

We went in for a chilled Sunday coffee. Nice atmosphere, friendly staff and excellent tasting coffee. Will be coming back for more!
N. P.
Got an apricot slice and a long black. Both extemely delicious. Plenty of seating space inside and outside.
R. M.
Been coming to Kaffeine for a couple years now and have always been very happy. Visited yesterday (wednesday) just after the lockdown lifted and got my usual flat white which was very disappointing. The milk was foamed okay but the beans were either over roasted (unlikely as it was supposed to be Red Brick) or over extracted. Hoping the quality gets fixed as Kaffeine is usually one of the best in London.
W. L.
Never disappoints! Great coffee and wonderful service. Highly recommend. 🇬🇧☕️👍🏼
T. P.
The best cafe! Always served with a smile and made to feel welcome. Great for the morning Flattie and croissant after cycling at Regent’s Park. Have used the catering service for events in the past and it has always been extremely professional, and with top quality food.
Thanks Kaffeine!
J. K.
I’ve been having coffee around central london on an almost daily basis for the past 5 years. Few places match Kaffeine’s coffee and overall experience. Highly recommend their flat white.
B.
Nice breakfast sandwiches though limited selection, and unavailableafter they run out around noon. Has outdoor seating and masks inside. Sells filtered coffee, though the largest cups are small so might want to order two. I like the little palate cleanser tea they give you with an espresso.
P. W.
Excellent Aussie-style coffee and delicious sandwiches and cakes. I make a point of stopping here at least once for breakfast or lunch whenever I'm in London.
H. C.
Great food and reeeeeallly nice coffee! Pretty expensive, but that what you get for having breakfast in Fitzrovia I guess...
S. S.
Consistently well done coffee. The little lemon/orange vegan cake is my guilty pleasure, and the last time I went in they had a new vegan option! Will have to return soon to try it.
C. P.
A great place for coffee people. Service can be better. Great dessert selection, something that many coffee shops neglect. Nice touch with the pastel de nata ☕️☕️
L. H.
My partner and I first visited Kaffeine the very day it opened and it has been our favourite ever since- it introduced us to a whole new world of how amazing coffee could be and now its our thing. The coffee is always delicious and the food to accompany it is too. Neither of us work in the area any more but often make a concerted effort to drop in if even vaguely heading that direction and sometimes make a special trip.
1. N. V. T.
Best Cappuccino Ever & the staff is so friendly and welcoming!
M. T.
Amazing place to start a day!! Delicious food, full flavor coffee! 😍
A lot of sanitizers 👍🏼
A. C.
Coffee tastes great and is always consistent. The place is busy often so expect a little wait. The prices are slightly high, too, but it's the going rate for a very good coffee in London.
S. K.
Best coffee in the hood! Super friendly, amazing brew and fresh and tasty sandwiches. What more can you ask for
A. T.
Delicious bacon brioche and excellent coffee. Perfect way to start the day
K. H.
My favourite coffee shop in London! The coffee is the BEST! Nice food and atmosphere too.
Y. U.
great staff, egg and avocado sandwich and the croissant were delicious, coffee was great and the atmosphere of the place is nice also location is good. (i don’t recommend the hot chocolate).
J. F.
Our goto place for the best coffee and breakfast in London. Why settle for less! Great food and lovely people.
A. G.
Great coffee and selection of food in a chilled out environment.
M. W.
I've tried both Kaffeine. A little bit different but overall nice staffs and vibe, as well as good coffee! Hope to bump into Smith next time! 😃
C. J.
Best coffee on our trip to London so far, and the mushroom on toast breakfast was incredible!
J. B.
Poached egg toast was very delicious!
L. G.
Great coffee shop. Great kid menu. Great food. Vegetarian was good. Atmosphere was good..
R.
Good coffee, fast and professional staff. Not a lot of seating so no ideal for groups.
J. G.
Lovely place, very good coffee. Some gf food available. Friendly staff.
S. L.
Cute little cozy place. Ordered the plum tomato cheese and spinach roll (toasted). It was very hearty and fulfilling because the pastry/dough it’s made from is more like biscuit dough rather than bread, if that makes sense. Anyway I liked it, yummy. The long black coffee was alright but extremely acidic, didn’t like it. Maybe I should have just ordered an americano
A. A. M.
Probably one of the best independent cafes around central London. Great coffee and good selection of quality snacks and sandwiches. Friendly staff a big plus.
E. B.
Excellent coffee. They have all the traditional barista beverages and also a good selection of pastries and healthy salads. I only stopped in for a takeaway coffee, so cannot attest to the food options or atmosphere (if you are looking to work or socialise), but the coffee is a high quality!
G. T.
The staff here is extremelly helpful and kind. I highly recommend the place! <3
C. Y.
Coffee is fine but a bit over priced. Because of the location I guess?
C. N.
Great coffee! Amazing service! The perfect coffee shop
S. B.
If you lived in Australia for a couple of years, and you are missing the daily coffee and banana bread before your classes, this is the place for you. By far the best coffee in London.
D. J.
Coffee was wonderful however ... the banana bread was heavenly! There is a reason people cycle from miles around on a Sunday just to stop there for the coffee and delicious food.
B. M.
Some of the best coffee I have had in London. Nice fresh food options... Aussie style
N.
Excellent cappuccino
. ש. (. ה.
Best coffee. And I loved the Cold Brew Tea the served with the espresso... And the hospitality of the stuff.
G. B.
Great espresso. Had a Kenya from the Coffee collective and they managed to do a great extraction, without a too high acidity. Also had the brownie which was gluten-free and very very nice.
Definitely worth a visit if you're into coffee
K. G.
Great cappuccino. They just opened a few days ago and there was already a short queue of people waiting because the coffee is so good. You can walk a few streets over to the park around Fitzrovia Chapel to enjoy the coffee and have a place to sit down.
F. A. M.
Good service, nice food (egg brioche, almond croissant) but I found the coffee to be a little too bitter
D. K.
Amaizing latte. Friendly staff. Just quick coffee break is ok but longer sitting is not a good option.
H. S.
Very good coffee, nice settings
M. N.
As an Aussie looking for anywhere that has decent coffee in London (a challenge in an of itself), I have had two visits to Kaffeine.
The first was an utter disappointment, as the coffee was under, and tasted very watery.
However, given the reviews, I went a second time and had an excellent double shot latte. The staff are very friendly and humorous, giving this place a great atmosphere. Overall, a very well run establishment.
T. R.
Probably the best coffee I’ve had in London so far. Highly recommended, the flavor of their beans is delicious.
P. E.
Excellent coffee. Great atmosphere. Popular and busy. Nice benches outside. Perhaps just a bit too busy and small in space if you want a lazy quiet coffee away from the masses but a good vibe all round. Also the Portuguese tart was tasty!
H. D.
I used to work in the area and this was the BEST place to get coffee! usually temped enough to pick up a snack or some cake too. Now, whenever I'm in the area, I make sure to pop in and a Kaffeine fix. Particularly nice place to sit and watch the world go by.
M. P.
good coffee shop but I don't understand why they designed their seating in that weird way.. Update: I notice that the owner of the shop reads and gives detailed replies to the comments, which is a wonderful thing. So, I decided to expand my review. We really enjoyed our coffees, the barristas were friendly and the display was very welcoming. The ambience was quite nice, there was no loud music or in-your-face decoration. Maybe the reason I felt back-place seating to be weird was because its quite different than other places where you sit down to eat and put items on a table. Instead of posting a quick reaction online, I should have thought about it and maybe tried it again. I will do that as soon as i am back in that area and edit my reaction.
I. D.
Great little place, and it's fellow siblings are all run excellently too. Lovely smooth coffee, regardless of drink type and the food, especially sweet stuff is extremely tasty. Their toasted n buttered banana bread is sublime. Visit daily if in the area.
G. H.
My fave cafe in London now with outside tables and serving an amazibg brunch! The corn fritters and the banana bread French toast style are to die for!
Definitely our new brunch spot!
E. M.
Very pleased with my flat white and Portuguese egg tart!
W. A.
Cozy place with fast service and nice staff. Coffee was decent but the Lemon cake was a nice gem
A. B.
Nice coffee - not exquisite but definitely better than the chains (so many places doing v60s and the like these days, the bars got really high). Good place for a quick coffee and/or pastry but more of a high volume place than somewhere to sit and catch up with a friend or do some work... Still come here when I'm in the area and want a coffee though :)
I. R.
Kaffeine is definitely in my top 3 London coffee shops. I work just around the corner, so I make sure to pop in a couple of times a week - if I'm ever in or around town on the weekend, I also make sure to pop in for a fantastic cuppa, and some delicious treats.
I'm a massive fan of their Americano and Anzac cookie combo - but any of their cakes/treats is amazing. There's always a friendly bunch of people working there - highly recommended!
X. W.
Superb quality coffee. The pastries are good too and the friendly staff are the icing on the cake.
A. B.
Great batch, awesome food and super friendly service
A. J.
Amazing Place, Great Coffee, and very friendly Staff 10 stars if I could give it more.
D. P.
Best coffee in Fitzrovia, hands down. Top notch pastries and savouries, too. Interesting and talented staff, making the place a real gem.
L. H. N.
Decent coffee shop with a variety of coffee beverages and sweet and savory snacks. Just wish they had pour over options. Would have loved to try all the wonderful bean options in pure form rather than as an espresso, flat white, cappuccino, etc.
Z.
I revisted a couple of times and am happy to update my review. However, Coffee is decent but expected more as its billed as one of London's best coffee places and a pilgrimage. The coffee was slightly bitter with an after taste. I would go again but probably not as a first choice.
R. S.
We've been to many independent cafe hoppings in many of our London trips. Kaffeine remains the most consistent. Great ambience. Lovely staffs and even met the wonderful owner once. Highly recommended.
T. W.
I came by in October 22nd, before the 2nd lockdown. The latte which came with beautiful latte art was amazing. The pastries were delicious! Friendly baristas too.
L. S.
I lived in Australia for 2.5 years and really missed the Aussie style of coffee. That's where Kaffeine comes in! Their coffee is as close to the Australian style/taste as you can get in London and it's delicious. They have loads of milk alternatives which is nice and the staff are very friendly. Only downside is there's not much seating so can feel a little cosy inside.
B. B.
The coffee is good, the staff is nice, the place is cool.
What else do you need?
C. A. M.
good coffee, fast service, it is a small coffee shop but it is worth the coffee as well as the food.
M. B.
Wonderful! The coffee is reasonably priced and matched with the going market rate that you would expect to pay. Their house roaster is Square Mile Coffee and rotate a guest roast. This visit was the turn of some Kenyan coffee beans from Coffee Collective. Defiantly enjoyed my visit!
S. S.
The coffee here is really good, but the prices are a bit steep for the size. (I can get a coffee at Attendant around the corner which is nearly double the size for the same price, and it tastes just as good! Kaffeine is bigger in terms of seating though, so better for bigger groups.)
A. C.
Amazing coffee and friendly staff. Their take on the pastel de nata is also fantastic, give it a shot I promise you wont be disappointed.
T. R.
The banana bread here is so good. I'm not kidding, so good. Order it. You will thank yourself.
The staff are really nice and chatty which is always nice. They suggested I put some ice cream in my iced latte and while at first I was suspicious... it was surprisingly good! Give it a go. Outside was a sign that said 'How do you take your coffee? Very, very seriously' I like that while the baristas are skilled they are still open to trying new things and aren't overly pretentious about it.
I really enjoyed my coffee and it's a good escape from the Oxford St craziness. Give them a go!
J. W.
Oat milk flat white and buttered and toasted banana bread. The best of London.
T. S.
Great cafe, incredible coffee, excellent banana bread. Slightly uncomfortable place to wait around for takeaway coffee, no designated waiting area and very hard to not feel in the way. Love this place, just wish the layout was different or it was just more spacious!
K. T.
Great coffee house and it certainly justify its name. I had cold brew, espresso and oat flat white. Needless to say, they were all amazing. Espresso was extracted beautifully and presented with a palate cleanser. What a service. And food was superb too. Will definitely return. 🤗
B. M.
Consistently rated as one of the best coffee shops in London, and truly it deserves to be competing for this title. The coffee flight just for the uniqueness (and the instagram worthy pic) is definitely worth trying once and beyond that any coffee you choose will be hard to beat anywhere else. Special mention for their Blondie which I think is bloody amazing!..Always busy so you will be waiting for a seat but it is worth it. Staff are friendly and the manager is incredibly nice. Kaffeine, I applaud you!
J. W. Y. L.
Have been a customer at Kaffeine for years and it remains my favorite cafe in London! They serve amazing food and pastries while constantly changing the flavours to keep things refreshing. The coffee is of a high standard and is consistent over many occasions. The team at Kaffeine are friendly and passionate about their craft and it is always such a joy to be able to come in and visit their shop. I highly recommend giving this cafe a visit!
J. E.
Excellent coffee every time. Busy little cafe always buzzing.
G. M.
From the very start the welcoming smile of the staff and the aroma of fresh ground coffee set the base for a truly enjoyable experience. Next the food on display and the beautiful forks and plates and napkins...everything absolutely on point. Finally your beverage, carefully crafted with a passion that shows from the first sip to the last. A place to keep coming back to for more and more every time.
G.
Good coffee ☕️ but crowded with 🇬🇧 coffee snobs
L. S.
We visited the two locations, both times the first impression « hey that beautiful front house! ». It remembers me the cosy places of nordic countries, warm light inside, especially at early morning or end of the day. That said, the coffee and the people there were amazing.
D. H.
Service is good, food is good, feeling cosy and quait shop where you can sit for 20min and walk out feeling good...
B. S.
I never enjoyed brunch until I came here. Hands down the best morning food and coffee I have ever eaten in London, possibly the world.
C. O.
Coffee is brilliant! The brownie was quite nice too though not extremely special. It's a lovely cafe for a catch-up but there are very few seats so you might feel bad to stay for too long.
N. T.
I was nearby, it was raining and according to the Google reviews, it was a great place so I gave it a go... I am a very fussy eater but everything I tried was absolutely delicious! The coffee, the quiche and the Portuguese tart. I ate it all and enjoyed every bite. I totally recommend it!
R. H.
If Michelin rated coffee shops then Kaffeine would have multiple stars. This is coffee brewed by a team that is passionate about what they do and have a clear vision about producing the best quality experience, at a price equivalent to the chains. For me, in the top echelon in London, alongside Prufrock and Origin. Fantastic food too and private sessions can be arranged so you can find out just hard latte art is to do...
E. J.
A big selling point, and one that will keep me coming back to any coffee shop is the staff. I like them friendly and easy on the eye (you want an honest review, right?) You'll find both of these things here. Oh, and the coffee is pretty decent too.
I'm a pretty big sucker for banana bread, too. Kaffeine probably does one of the best around the Oxford St area, so is worth nipping off the main shopping street just to catch a break from the crowds and stuff your face with cake.
K. J.
Cosy place with yum coffee and cake options !
T. M.
The coffee here is solid and the location is ideal. Outdoor seating is limited; but who cares?
I've tried their quiches and sandwiches several times and they're consistently good.
This is my little place to recharge and catch up on emails.
J. H.
Staff were friendly, including being surprisingly welcoming to my 3 year old daughter - I didn't think it would be a particularly kid friendly place somehow. Chocolate brownie was good, and decor is pleasant.
I went for the coffee flight. The cold brew tea made from coffee cherries was interesting - quite refreshing. The flat white was decent. The espresso was a bit too sour and bitter for my tastes. They use beans from Square Mile Roasters - for the sake of science I bought a bag of their beans (the Red Brick espresso blend) and it tasted similarly sour and bitter when I made it at home in my own coffee machine. So this is apparently how it is meant to be - I guess it works if you're going to add milk, but to me at least isn't that nice as an espresso.
C. W.
Great Little coffee shop in London and I think it is one of the highest rated in London. The coffee was very good but the food was a little over the top. If you want a standard toastie don't bother visiting. If you want a fancy quiche or salad then this is your place. Another draw back to this place is that there is no WiFi if you want to get some work done and I think the staff could be a little more friendly. Despite this it is a good place and the food and coffee was very nice I would recommend this place for a nice cup of coffee and a kick back but not as a place to work
J. T.
Great atmosphere - perfect for catching up with friends, friendly staff and good coffee!
M. W.
Has been one of my favourite coffee shops in London for a few years. Square Mile beans and often a delicious guest roast. Highly recommended!
P. C.
Didn’t have much time to try everything so I grabbed an egg tart and latte. Both are recommended. Have to say it is top ten coffee shop in London. Despite its amount of seats but it’s London.
I. S.
Love this place!
Buzzing and relaxing at the same time!
Insanely good cappuccino…with some free water (flavoured with mint or oranges and lemon) available to sip while you wait for your coffee to be made ;)
The staff is friendly and welcoming with great sense of humor :-D
A combination of the brick walls on one side and white walls with wooden floor and tables on the other side, give this place a very warm & modern feel.
I will certainly be coming back here soon.
N. K.
Honestly the best pastries in London! Not only are they experimental but also keeping the basics right! Coffee here also great - no seating almost always tho be aware!
T. K.
Great Coffee, with a decent selection of cakes. It's often quite busy but you can sit outside. They do a good sized Long Black, with only a little bit of water and double shot.
D. L.
At last! A London coffee I can drink. Awesome features for vegans too. I had the raspberry peanut brownie and it will take me all day to nom this baby down.
E. E.
Their coffee was exquisite & I would recommend getting the savory rolls
T. L.
Some of the best coffee in London. Highly recommend if you want a good cup of coffee. The brownies are also top notch, although you might want to share one as they're very rich!
R. D.
Seeing good and bad review I must say that the coffee is nice, decent and well served. They really stand out from the millions of average/okayish coffee in central London. The bonus is they give you cascara tea for free. Love it.
B. D. H.
Best coffee in London, just saying... The benchmark for all coffee shops.
M. F.
One of the best coffee places in London! Situated in the beautiful neighborhood of Fitzrovia, Kaffeine has quality coffee along with brilliant food.
Great for a quiet weekend morning or a mid work day catch up, highly recommend this place!
N. J.
One of the many awesome coffee shops around this part of town. The coffee is spot on - incredible, even - but that means it's super popular... There can sometimes be a little bit of a wait in the morning peak, but the friendly and convivial atmosphere, and that divine coffee that comes at the end of it, makes it totally worthwhile.
A. S.
I like there coffee they use square mile coffee Roaster Red brick
T. M.
Kaffeine has great coffee made usually by Square Mile roasters, with guest coffees every now and again. Frequented by local suits, but just as popular with casual coffee drinkers, Kaffeine has some of the best coffee I have had in London. Can get busy at peak times, but if you're lucky you may just find yourself in a quiet point with some great coffee.
S. L.
Busy but love the coffee there and with people around.
O. G.
Definately check this place out. Best coffee we found, single origin beans and great selection of teas. There was also plenty of sweets and delicious lunch options. All reasonably priced and had a great comfy atmosphere. The staff were all very friendly also.
A. S.
I'm a regular at Kaffeine thanks to their brilliant coffee and cakes (their custard tarts are nothing short of incredible). It's pretty obvious that they care about their coffee - because it's so, so good - but after having a coffee masterclass with their baristas, it's obvious that they put a lot of care into ensuring that they only serve the best. It's a lovely place to have meetings or see friends no matter the time of day, and considering the quality of the food and coffee they serve, really good value.
E. E.
I used to be a regular at Kaffeine when it opened, it's coffee was excellent and the interior soothing, the kind where you want to sit for a while. Unfortunately more people have now realised how good their coffee is and it can be quite hard to find a seat. If I pass by I do stop every time to at least have takeaway.
J. C.
Really good coffee, knowledgeable barristas and cute interior - definitely worth a visit especially close to Oxford St madness. The place is a bit small so may not be place to sit down when it's busy.
Cakes and baked goods all fresh but sadly no dairy free options when I dropped by. They did have soya for the coffee though.
A. M.
Very nice independent coffee place, also serving breakfast/brunch/light lunch. I had an excellent cappuccino and an egg and chorizo focaccia. The tiny seating area is cosy and funky, but is probably a bit uncomfortable, not the place you would seat for a long time. It also features a tiny outdoors seating area, which can be pleasant on a good weather although the surrounding is not very exciting. I would definitely go back again for the brilliant coffee.
M.
Decent coffee but completely chaotic in the morning due to the cramped space and slow staff (took 10 mins to get a take out coffee at around 9.40am). We were also hoping for some kiwi delights we’d seen in the photos on various reviews but sadly they weren’t on offer.
M. S.
Fantastic Banana Bread (ask for it toasted), I ordered a Caffe Latte and it was slightly acidic but was complemented perfectly by the aforementioned bread.
Seating is uncomfortable but decent "for a cafe" (all wooden benches and chairs).
All in all this cafe has good coffee, and better cakes, but lacks comfortable seating.
C. D.
This busy little coffee shop serves some of the best coffee I have had anywhere in London. They also have a very tempting selection of food served in a clean, modern environment. At least this is what I said last year. Sadly the lack of space and no WiFi really let this place down.
V. L.
OK coffee I think others can be better. Good atmosphere though.
S. T.
Amazing coffee, delicious brownie, friendly staff. What’s not to love?!
C. T.
Gorgeous little coffee shop. Drawn in by the way it looked, stayed for the nice coffee and cake. The lunchtime soups (and other mains I haven't yet tried) are an extra bonus. The seating's curious - a mix of stools at the front and recycled-looking wooden box seating at the back with low-down tables. It can often be quite busy but it's a slow sort of vibe rather than bustling and overly-crowded.
F. H.
Mild coffee, helpful staff. Kinda hip atmosphere.
J. S.
Good coffee, but there are far too many media, luvvy types hanging around, often nursing nearly-empty cups, well past their welcome(s). Make space for other hipsters, please!
G. N.
far too busy for its own good, I think. Could do with being bigger. The coffee is OK, not the best third wave espresso I have had in London by any stretch but THE most expensive. For £2.50, I was expecting more - my coffee at home is probably at the same level.
J. k.
This looked incredibly promising, but my flat white was really weak. They insisted they used a double shot for the flat white's, so I'm not sure what was up here. Great staff and excellent cakes! But... My coffee definately lacked Kaffeine
P. G.
I used to work near here and went to this coffee shop every day! It was the BEST latte I have had. They always refer to your name (starbucks style), but I think its a great way to make it personal as after a few days they all knew my name and asked how I was and had a little chat while making my coffee... and not forgetting the pretty artwork they make with my coffee!!!!
They also provide gluten free porridge which is so tastey and perfect for a gluten intolerant person who finds it difficult to get something to eat while on the move other than a salad.
Would definitely make a detour when in the area again just for another cup.
M. F.
Really great staff here and that's a credit to the very lovely Peter who owns the show. Perennially busy, the team are never snappy or grumpy. There's always a lovely range of salads and sandwiches and the cakes are particularly good. The toasted banana bread is a real winner here. Excellent coffee too.
K. A.
Very good coffee, it has a citrusy taste. Try the white chocolate brownie it's really good. Staff are very friendly. Also, you order and take a seat your coffee will be served at your table.
E. S.
I've been coming here for long time. The coffee is always great and they also have a good range of food to eat with a coffee. I love this place and recommend people to visit when around this area.
F. O.
Great high quality coffee, and an OK atmosphere. I'm someone who gets coffee and likes to sit and study with my laptop. Has a public loo. No Wifi. Only one plug in the place. But the seating is comfortable and relaxed, not too cramped.
L. S.
Every Sunday morning, hanging out at the very special Kaffine, serving the est banana bread, and excellent latte. Such a treat!
E. B.
Oh, my! Haven't felt so fancy in some time. The coffee was good, I'll give them that - a very mild, pleasant blend, and as for the decoration, what can I say? Should have got my iPhone out and instagrammed it before drinking it. Unfortunately, I don't do Instagram. I just love a good coffee.
H. F.
Their coffee is too strong! The iced spanish latte was ok!
J. B.
I like the fresh food there and all baked items. They are tasty and if you're in the region, don't hesitate to go there and buy some.
The chocolate brownies are moist and sweet enough to satisfy even the most pretentious taste.
Y. T. H.
Great place to enjoy the coffee.
S.
One of the best coffee shops in town and very consistent ....good food and the most lovely people behind the counter.....Open again in Great Tichfield St have missed this place alot.
R. H.
Absolutely brilliant. Beautiful espresso, friendly staff and really relaxing atmosphere makes this place my favourite. I love stopping by every morning before work to enjoy a cup of fresh, hot coffee.
J. P.
While our coffee was good and the food was pretty tasty, the staff were generally apathetic and a little rude - ordered a long black and got a flat white, it didn't go down well when we explained that wasn't what we ordered and when the long black did arrive it was more or less thrown at us. Nice food and coffee but not nice enough for me to go back
D. H.
For different bakery treats keep in mind that Kaffeine is a popular place to buy them from. You can choose from their tasty croissants, banana bread and sandwiches with bacon, spinach and salsa. Yesterday I bought a delicious croissant and the taste met my expectations.
V. I.
Beautiful coffee and probably one of the best in London.
High quality of food and services.
This shop is an example of hard work and passion for superior standards.
I can write alot about this place but I believe is better to visit it!!!
Highly recommended!
A. G.
The best coffee shop we tried in London.. Their espresso drinks were incredible and the breakfast food was delicious. I would definitely be a regular had I lived in London.
l. t.
i *love* Kaffiene. Great coffee and food, and the staff are loooovely - really friendly and attentive. Great spot for meetings with their long benches, though it does get super busy. I resisted the cakes but I can confirm that they look scrumptious and there were a lot being eaten (even gluten free ones)...I went for a huge smoked salmon baguette instead. Oh. My ONE gripe would be that I would love it if they opened late at least one night a week, otherwise, it is just the odd weekend trip for me when I can withstand heading central via the Oxford Circus scrums.
M. C.
Wonderful little kiwi coffee shop, with great service and some of the best coffee I've had in London. Definitely one of my top tens. The staff are also super friendly and always good for a laugh!
S. H.
Kaffeine is a place as cool as its name. Although there are often queues and the sit down area is tiny, the coffee is outstanding. All hot drinks are served with a free and fresh big jug of water. It's the little things...
R. M.
Great little shop.. Awesome coffee and treats
Highly recommended
S. P.
Hate to jump on the bandwagon, but I have to agree with everyone else that this place does have the best cappuccino I've had in a long time. It is a small trendy spot with charming staff and whether you are lucky to find a seat inside, or simply grab a pick-me-up to get your head together in the middle of the working day, it's always a refreshing experience. I concur that a flat white and the banana bread are a must. But don't limit yourself - the selection of drinks and delectable snacks is extensive.
A. S.
You can tell how good the shop is from the amazed smiles on the faces of the espresso drinkers. One sip and they're hooked. None of that bitter, burned-toast taste that people have been conned into thinking is "proper coffee": instead, sweet, juicy, delicious espresso.
J. N.
Great coffee and tasty food within cozy yet trendy surroundings. Only downside is the lack of WIFI but other than that, love this place. Staff are very friendly and smiley too :)
A. B.
That is the right place for every coffee lover. They offer very nice hot drinks which are perfect for the cold winter nights. The members of staff have always been very quick and organised. The pleasant atmosphere makes me visit it over and over again.
D. J. M. L.
As the name indicates this place serves an amazing tasty rich coffee. The late is very good, they also offer lunch and some yummy goodies like the cranberries cake, just delicious. The place is small and cozy, very friendly.
F. R.
Some of the best coffee in London. It is very small but every time my mom comes to London, we go there and have a great time! Love this place!
I. W.
The coffee that all coffee should be judged against. My quest to find the best espresso wherever I travel always leads to disappointment as it's just never as good as Kaffeine. Hands down, the best.
G. C.
Amazing coffee. Cakes and food also fab.
a.
busy very local cafe.
Kaffeine had that central London village energy feel on this Sunday morning.
small Flat White with table service.
seductive pastries and cakes were too good to ignore..
S. M.
A typical hipster coffee shop. All exposed brickwork, black paint, and coffee for connoisseurs of the dark art of pulling the perfect shots. A curated selection of good looking morsels on the counter. Nice.
D. L.
One of the best coffees I've ever had in London. Always a crowd about the place being in Soho and close to the new BBC HQ. Nevertheless, staff are eager and friendly to attend to you and serve you with a fine brew as quick as they come. The flat white was served at good drinking temperature with just the right amount of microfoam. Definitely one of the must-go Cafés in London.
J. M.
One of my favorite coffee experience, the place I try my first piccolo and they made it with no regret. Small but deco and atmosphere is great. The staff are not so friendly though.
Z. P.
An epic coconut slice. An amazing latte. And a splinter in my derriere. These are the three things that stood out most about my trip to Kaffeine. On a Friday afternoon, just as my energy reserves were almost at nil, we nipped into this cool, calm little establishment. The staff were friendly and the line was quick... all the cakes looked superb... and the coffee was very much needed (as was the free water too). And the splinter? Well, that's what happens when you sort of slide yourself, in a sleepy way, onto a wooden cube. On the plus side, that helped wake me up too!
A. J.
I was here two days in a row this weekend and it went more than well. Maybe the coffee shop made me such big impression the first time, that when I had to think of where to go on Sunday, the place popped right into my mind. Coffee is great and there are also some nice breakfast and brunch options available.
G. B.
Through the London Coffee Guide and a review here I got to know about this place. As all I read was just good, and as it is also the winner of Best Independent Coffee Shop in Europe 2010, I simply had to go there and see myself.
What can I say? It is a nice place and the service is great! I would assess the service as much above most other cafés I know.
The interior is simple, yet beautiful and light. The coffee is a pleasure and the food looks good. I just had a pain au chocolat, so now I cannot say much about the food in general, but at least the pain au chocolat was delicious.
A place you should not miss if you like to go for a coffee in London!
Update: after also trying some food there, I can recommend this place even more :)
G. S.
Amazing coffee and snacks to compliment. Great coffee blends - not too strong but great flavour!
Banana muffin and Billionaire shortbread complimented the flat white.
B.
Great coffee that's for sure! I find this place a little bit over rated.. after ordering the coffee I realised there's no Wifi :/ I mean come on really! I left a bit disappointed.
G.
Perfect flat white. Great chocolate brownies. Excellent decor. All of which adds up to one great coffee house. Just remember to relax, enjoy your time there, you will get a seat in the end.
J. L.
This is a lovely place to get some food and a coffee. There is space to sit down but it can get busy (which is a good sign to show how decent this place is). There is a wide selection of food here and they cater for vegetarians here too. Keep up the top work.
T. W.
A little bit disappointed at first when told no pour over/filtered coffee supplied, but the fruity smooth cold brew enlightened my mood. Want to try guest espresso but it has been run out.
k. f.
Queue outside in the am. Take out only. The coffee explains why. It's really good. Location OK. Price OK.
E. S.
Probably the most amazing coffee I've ever had. The café has wonderful ambiance w comfy leather chairs and tasteful décor. Simply ideal for any occasion! I'm coming back for more!!!
G. M.
Considered one of the kickstarters of the "Third Wave" coffee revolution in London, Kaffeine remains one of the best places to drink specialty coffee in town.
It's a tiny cafe' at the back of Oxford Circus, in a street filled with art galleries and cafes. Kaffeine stands out with a simple decor (big front window, cakes on display, high wooden tables and stools) and friendly service.
The food is sandwiches and cakes, with an Australian flares like the cafe's owners. Try the banana bread with a slab of butter!
If you are passionate about coffee, you will immediately notice that these guys are serious about what they do. They use a Synesso espresso machine to brew Square Mile coffee. They have 3 cup sizes: 5oz for flat white, 6oz for cappuccino and 7.7 oz for latte. Everything is carefully prepared to make you enjoy a great coffee.
On my latest visit, I ordered a macchiato and it was served with a glass of cold "cascara" a drink made with the dried skin of coffee cherries. It is drunk as a palate cleanser. Try it, it will surprise you how good it is!
W. C.
Here they not only make great coffee but also have sandwiches, salads and pastries, so it’s good for lunch as well. It can get crazy busy sometimes since it’s quite popular but that doesn’t scare me when I want a nice cup of coffee.
W. R.
Great little Cafe. Small, cosy, can be very busy but serves great coffee. The food looks amazing - and of course the cakes & pastries. Very low key decor but fits perfectly for a busy part of town.
C. C.
Great coffee from a deeply rich espresso to a nice and smooth flat white. Why not try the coffee selection. This place has a simple relaxed atmosphere so why not sit back and unwind.
J. H.
So nice to be back here. One of the nicest coffee shops in town. Fingers-crossed that the council permits them to have more outdoor seats.
A. A.
Great sandwiches and a reasonably good espresso (closer to the italian-style than most hip place in London). Really loved the cold infused tea served with it.
A.
Best café experience I’ve had in a long time! Amazing variety of coffee creations, all of which are amazing! Best thing of all, quiet and clean and peaceful place to study! And awesome staff!
K. C.
Awesome coffee shops with great breakfast options. I loved the way they operate - like an well-oiled machine. Also the place is always full of people so it has to be good - and it is!
E. J. H.
Really good coffee, best salmon and egg pastry I’ve ever had and attentive and friendly staff. Great vibe inside, would recommend!
K. G.
A great meeting place. I've been here a couple of times and it's always got a good vibe - bustling but not too crazy. The coffee is great, the staff are friendly and the cakes are delish. A solid classic coffee shop.
E. G.
There is a good atmosphere in this coffee shop. If you want a coffee shop to escape from the busy bustling neighbouring Oxford Street, this is the one. It is rather small, so be prepared to stand or take away. There is a very interesting coffee tea...
I. D.
Their salads and baguettes are delicious. Also, I simply can't resist the chocolate brownies. If you are a big fan of chocolate, you are bound to like them!
Sometimes Kaffeine is crowded, but I don't mind sitting among interesting and talkative people.
R. J.
Lovely place. Very cosy, we had nice omelet sandwiches, but the jewel in the crown was the berry muffin. It's too was wild just like a muffin top needs to be. Recommended place
K. N.
Went here for Sunday brunch. A short walk from Oxford st, in a quiet and relaxed area of Fitzrovia. The soy latte was just right. The corn fritters with avocado were freshly prepared and healthy. Friendly and quick service.
V. M.
Great coffee and service. The food is average.
E. A.
It was a ok cafe. It has a small sitting area, the staff is really nice and they serve pretty quick. It closes at 6pm though, so if you need more time to have your coffee with a little chit chat, don't go late.
D. L.
Best coffee in London, and has been for years! Lovely friendly staff too. Highly highly recommended.
G. J. D.
Super excellent coffee and a great variety for brunch
M. A.
Came for the coffee tasting flight and was not disappointed! (I was also wired for the entire rest of the day :-). My barista, Ben, was super friendly and knowledgable - he gladly walked me through the flight. I also wasn't expecting such a great sandwich too. I will be coming back.
ف. ا.
In my opinion it’s one of best cafes in London
H.
Amazing coffee and very friendly staff. Probably my favourite coffee shop in Central London. Great food too!
M. H. (.
Came here for decent espresso and it was excellent.
T. A.
Kaffeine is one of the best coffee shops in London if not the best,
Great coffee and amazing baristas 👍
Well managed.
Peter you are doing excellent job
Love it
J. K.
So good to be back sitting outside having the best flat white and espresso cookie's that side of the West End.
M. W.
On holiday form Melbourne, Australia this place made me feel at home. It was what I expected and more. Fantastic coffee, friendly staff and something I didn't expect water brought to me a refilled when I sat down. From a first visit there is nothing I can fault at this place. So 5/5
L. W.
Great coffee, friendly staff and the Pastel de Nata’s were also amazing!
J. L.
Absolutely fantastic coffee. You won't get better anywhere else.
Whether it is decaf skinny latte or a machiatto, this is the only place you should go to for your coffee. -I regret that I’ve had to leave the area due to work. I’ll miss this place terribly.-
Expensive but worth it!
**EDIT**
I'm back and I walk the Loooooong way to work every day so I can go to Kaffiene and get my morning coffee! Where else will you get a rosette on your take away coffee? Really!
מ. ח.
Good coffee in London's standards
J. J. S.
delicious coffee from square mile, served by attentive and dedicated baristas. they also do very good stuffed croissants. a real state agent would say the space is cozy but i've never failed to find a place to sit.
M. A.
A nice place to have my morning coffee and some breakfast. Sometimes there's a big queue in front of the counters but I guess it's worth to wait a little for the great coffee you'll get.
A. B.
Amazing coffe and lovey staff, get your happy dose!
A. M.
Great coffee, snack, dessert, and sandwich
J. G.
amazing coffee shop and lovely staff
g. b.
Great coffee. Great pastries. Really good to support a local coffee shop.
J. P.
I love it here! I can't say anything but I love it! Its very sweet and peace place for me. Oh! my.. there coffee was such a heaven experience the I taste. Must try there coffee.. Its really amazing :)
J. C.
Delicious coffee in a good atmosphere.
Prompt service from knowledgeable coffee aficionados at this central cafe. Solid coffee/espresso menu with a choice in roast. Baked goods and snacks are on hand, too.
S. G.
Love visiting this place for coffee. Will recommend!
R. L.
Great coffee and good service. The place does get crowded as it’s fairly small, but it’s definitely worth a visit.
S. G.
Kaffeine Shop is great for exactgetaways. If you're viewing for: a decent weekday happy hour, casual dinner or brunch with your non-foodie groups, or a bar to crush late night cocktails and seduce with the hot bartender coffee shop will certainly get the job done. I've had their service at happy hour and it was amazingly good, and had the fajitas for dinner the other night which was pretty overwhelming. The hot bartender has also hooked us up with some SoCo& Lime shots gratis (thanks man!) during a pit stop before heading to South side one Saturday evening.
L. A. “. R. L. R.
Whenever we're in the area I always make a point of stopping here. Great atmosphere and top-class coffee. Love it!
H. S.
Amazing coffee, strong but delicious. Wide selection of baked goods and lunch options, all made on site and beautifully presented. Portuguese tarts, brownies/blondies and friands are a speciality.
L. S.
One of my favorite spot is to hangout in this place. It's really great to be here. Coffee are simply amazing, foods are deliciously good. Staff are friendly and attentive. So nice!
V. F.
Super tasty drinks and very good pastries. Good conversation with locals and the energy is generally warm and welcoming. I would certainly return here.
L. Z.
These people do know what they are doing with their coffee.

I had a quarrel with my boyfriend just a couple of hours ago and this totally ruined my day. I went to this nice place, because a friend of mind recommended it to me. I can't argie that the coffee there is tasty and the baristas are kind and polite. In Kaffeine I was thinking about the different aspects of life. I know that all the arguments with the people who you love are pointless. And I believe that people who can accept the compromises can lead a calmer life. On the other hand compromises might never bring satisfactory results. We have the hard task to decide on our own what exactly is the best thing for us.

Toasted Banana Bread with Butter is to die for. Coffee is much the same as any other independent but its a cool vibe nonetheless.
My go-to coffee shop when I get visitors from overseas. It is a bit of a hipster hangout though.
N. Y.
I was recommended this is THE best coffee in the town at the moment .... and you know what I think IT IS! ;0) I love coffee and drink coffee every day. Their coffee (bean) is something different.. and I am not sure what..... will ask them next time though!
R. L.
Bit disappointed that between ordering and paying for a pain au Chocolat, and it being brought over to us they had sold out. But the coffee wad good - maybe a bit strong for some - and the staff appologetic and helpful.
J. Y.
One of the best Anzac biscuits I’ve had in London.
D. (.
It’s always good here. Nice coffee (perhaps a little on the strong side) and a good variety of food
J. D.
Best coffee I've had in London. Cakes and such are good to. Staff are great. Can get busy but worth the wait.
C. B.
A great coffee shop with super coffee and super cakes. They also have good vegan options for both milks and cakes.
G. S.
Great coffee and delicious cakes 10 mins walking distance from Oxford circus! There isn't a lot of place to sit but it's worth to go and get a coffee here. Recommended
S. D.
I love a good cup of coffee and this was a very good cup of coffee, nice and smooth with a nice fancy picture on top, the service was very nice indeed, I did not eat any food as I never do in coffee shops, flapjack is not my thing. I'm not sure what else to say, ooh they have snazzy cups
M. A.
Loved the coffee and salad.
s. a.
Lovely coffee and staff, went after working with the team a few times externally. However, Peter is not a pleasant man to work with. Treated the younger staff rudely, snatching etc. and generally being abrupt.
A. F.
Nice staff and deliciously made coffee and tea.
N. M.
Great quality coffee and tasty vegan snack options too
J. D.
Very cute little Aussi coffee shop! Great coffee and tasty baked goods. One caveat though, the place is tiny so seating space is difficult to come by!
c. p.
I didn't eat here, I only had a hot chocolate but it has that cool Antipodean vibe going on and it was packed so they ust be doing something right. Sadly my hot chocolate was lukewarm and not that nice but I get that they specialise in coffee so I would consider giving it another chance
C. “. D.
This is one of my top 3 favourite coffee spots in London. They use Bonsoy soy milk, which helps, but their brew is top notch. Well worth seeking out.
J. Ř.
Very good coffee. The staff are friendly always.
It feels stress-free but busy place
C.
Amazing beautiful coffee and treats. I’ve heard that all baristas have to have at least 3 years training before they’re even allowed to work there!
R. H.
Amazing coffee and nice venue.

What permeated my visit to Kaffeine in Fitzrovia was the friendly greeting, personal attention and service throughout.
I stayed a short while and had a flat white, which was really berry bright and had a great milk texture (just like they do it at North Tea Power). I also had a Portuguese tart which although seemed a little bit less hit-n-miss pastry-wise than other great examples I've had, was nevertheless delicious: sweet, slight caramelisation on the top, and a nice heavyish consistency.
Next time I'm in London I'm making a beeline for this place.
A. C.
These people really know their coffee!
Prompt service from knowledgeable coffee aficionados at this central cafe. Solid coffee/espresso menu with a choice in roast. Baked goods and snacks are on hand, too.
L. W.
Very cute cafe with good coffee and food! I had the vegetarian dish of the day and was really impressed. Loved the latte too of course
M. H.
Great (Aussie) coffee spot!
B. V.
This is one of those cafes you want to frequent everyday. Very good clientele and great unpretentious coffee. Nice staff who greet you with a smile.
s. l.
Great selection of food items and good coffee, but the place is a bit tight and they don’t have free wifi
B. C.
Very crowded and not a ton of space for patrons. The coffee was good but not great. The blueberry muffin was excellent, however. And the staff was quite friendly.
H. G.
The coffee espresso looks very lovely and decent. Art was really into it. I also love there cakes though I'm not that fan of sweets.
A. S.
Really good coffee
Stopped there for a quick coffee and I wasn't sorry. The place is cool and the coffee is one of the best I had in London. The slice was also fresh and yummy.
P. T.
Small coffee shop with cool kiwi staff. Apparently they won the London Flat White award. That's a thing. Coffee is good, atmosphere laid-back.
M. B.
The vibe in this place is really welcoming. Staff are friendly and sincere. The coffee is second to none and the small food select is completely on point. Love it.
R. G.
Gorgeous coffee, lovely food, bit pricey but the quality and quantity is well worth it. Small sitting area inside and couple benches outside.
N. Å.
Happy staff. One of the most flavourful and flowery coffees I've had in a while. Served with a cold ice tea, or somesuch. Delightful.
K. L.
Aside from the "Krazy" K for Kaffeine, the coffee here is most excellent.
Smooth, rich blends, fresh cakes if you like that sort of thing but very cramped seating
K. M.
Coffee was good but not great. Relaxed atmosphere so I felt comfortable sitting here for a while. Friendly service.
K. D.
Coffee experience at its finest - from the welcoming cosy ambiance to the expertly prepared and beautifully presented coffee specialties. Staff are extremely polite and attentive, rendering personalised service every time. All details are exquisite and make for a truly gratifying experience.
J. B.
The food was amazing its so good! the decor or the place are well set and they are very clean. You can feel the comfortable feeling as well. And the staffs, they serve you very nice with a smile.I love the way they treat the costumer.EXCELLENT! deserve for this Kaffeine.
J. M.
I'd heard really good things about this place. The coffee (flat white) was nice, but the most expensive takeaway coffee I've bought in London so I was kind of expecting more.
T. Q.
Best coffee just steps away. Always get takeaway and their sweets are million miles away from awful Costa nearby in term of quality!!
M. S.
Always a pleasure - Kaffeine is one of my favourite coffee shops in London, consistently serving me great coffee and beautiful brunch. If you're after a piece of Antipodes in London, Kaffeine is your place.
B. E.
Great coffee and the most delicious espresso brownies! We left and came back for more half and hour later! Holiday treats ; )
L. F.
Expelled to the outdoors but temperature of liquid ensured regularity payed with card
K. S.
Great coffee. Breakfast focaccia, with egg and chorizo, was amazing. Though I will say it's a very small place, and quite difficult to spot.
N. H.
My favourite café in London thus far. Good breakfast sandwiches, which are a tad expensive, but maybe not too far off the mark, given it is London and the quality was there.
K. B.
Great coffee and bakes!
J. B.
I love this place! This place is great. It has a cool jazzy feel to it. Not very crowded, and workers are very friendly, they serve other food as well. Great coffee and great drinks and smoothies. Love it! :)
M. F.
This is the best place to go for an excellent lunch or a gossip while enjoying a brownie and latte. Their menu changes each week and they have a good selection of vegetarian food, and the most delicious desserts in the neighborhood!
C. T.
Best espresso in town! Great even for the picky Italians 😜
W. L.
Excellent coffee place in London! Went to Kaffeine for a coffee masterclass thanks to Google! The staff has amazing knowledge and we had a wicked time learning about coffee!
B. P.
A great little café, trying to bring a bit of the Australian Café Culture to the UK.
I think that they succeed, however a little behind good ol' oz...
The Apricot, Peach and Champagne jam is quite seriously the best jam I have ever tried.
s. h.
Don't see the hype about this place. Its Very average to be honest. But the coffe is good and the staff is nice. If you are looking for somewhere special or unique there are plenty of better options in central london
J. A.
Best cafe in the town that serves fantastically made authentic coffee and food. Their staff are the best, supper cool, very relaxed chilled and attentive.
L. S.
Great coffee, friendly and happy staff and their healthy raw balls are delishious. If you are in the area, definitely grab a cup!
P. J.
Small, independent coffee shop with a lot of flavor. You'll also be able to pick up some small snacks (sandwiches, salads etc) to go along with your cup of joe.
S. S.
Another top coffee stop in London and really rated the nata here as well. One of the places I'd seek out when I'm in need of espresso hit in the area.
m. p.
Very good coffee and kind staff.
D. T.
A bit off the beaten track for most , but it has always delivered what it promises as so many don’t , consistently great , they were at the forefront when they opened and have remained there , this can only be achieved when the owners are 100% passionate about there business and crucially instill that in their staff , if you want some of the best coffee beverages in London with amazing food and perfect service look no further .one of the best in the UK.The only problem is their too good or should i say popular , but that is always the best sign.
j. r.
Favourite coffee joint in London Town. Lovely staff, amazing coffee and amazing food. Highly recommended
P. B.
I admit it, I only tried this place because I liked the name. But actually the food is great and the interior is really snazzy.
The sandwiches they sell aren't the usual BLT or cheese and pickle. One of them is "pancetta, avocado, tomato, wild horseradish mayonnaise and rocket" and it comes in a box instead of a paper bag! I may just be simple, but I like that. Plus, if you ask, they'll toast it for you.
There's a £6 limit on cards, so make sure you go with cash if you don't want to have to buy an unwanted fairly expensive drink. That said, if you are stuck I this situation I recommend the banana bread.
A. T.
I recommend the tasting experience slate!
J. H.
Great food great price great service!
D. I.
So morale boosting to see Kaffeine re-open. First coffee & banana bread from there last week since lockdown - did not disappoint.
R. C.
Very good coffee here 👌🏼. One of my favourite coffee shops in central London. Also they have very good deserts here.
L. S.
On my trip to London last week, I found this great coffee spot. Had two coffees here , both excellent.
M. F.
Very good cafe in the Area. Quality food and drinks at reasonable price and nice calm atmosphere with the help of a professional staff and punctual service as well .
C. S.
Yaas! This is one of the V on fleek coffe shops in the city. The personnel are at all times super welcoming and really great It's a great spot in which you can meet together with friends.
K. B.
Great coffee and sandwiches. Outdoor seating during Covid as well
J. K.
Great coffee and staff worth the visit, outside area was nice the pastries where not the best but hot food pretty decent.
S. K.
Fantastic coffee - superb staff and great food - a relaxed and friendly atmosphere.
O. G.
The brioche is brilliant, so light and delicious! Great breakfast spot, would definitely recommend!
M. A. M.
Small place with avg ambiance but it's all the coffee right so ... had a cappuccino and it was average , the coffee volume was low and the milk ratio felt high.
T. S. L.
When finding oneself in the centre of town, Kaffeine is the place to go. Opened since August 2009, Peter, Kaffeine’s owner, has provided this city with something it was severely missing: the complete café experience. Whether due to his 25 years in hospitality or being brought up in Melbourne rather than the harshness of London town, Peter successfully gives his visitors the break from what reality cafés should provide...
To find more unique and independent places why not visit the Twenty Something London website!
A. K.
Very good, thank you for your service
N. B.
I had a great breakfast at Kaffeine. Your coffee shop really serves good coffee. And I so appreciate the prompt service that I experience.
O. H.
Good find. Pleasant atmosphere and great service. Reminds me of Melbourne cafés back home. If you like Melbourne coffee this place is it!
M. Q.
Cozy little cafe with great pastry, good coffee and nice peppermint tea (which they'll also top up with hot water!). Definitely worth a visit!
H. P.
Really good coffee, nice atmosphere but no option for sweetener, just sugar
A. A.
Friendly staff, quality coffee and lamingtons in the heart of London!
B. B.
Very good coffee but average and overbaked cookies.
T. N.
Excellent is the description for this place. One of the best cups of coffee I have drunk. The staff knowledgable, helpful and friendly. Mouthwatering bakery.

Great coffee. The lunch menu is typically interesting light and tasty. It's a busy place most days.
A. P.
Simply the best! Excellent coffee, great food, warm welcome. A London institution, for those in the know.
J. R.
Go here for proper coffee full on flavour. Awesome for the taste buds. Go to Pret, Nero, Starbucks for a caffeine kick and no taste.
E. P. d. B.
Insane coffee! Love their homemade pastel de nata too... heaven!
K. H.
Delicious coffee and very friendly staff. It's a great place for an afternoon coffee when you are done with all the shopping.
M. F.
Last Saturday I have been here and I really enjoy the coffee and the sweets that I ordered. Great taste foods at fair costs.
K. A.
It’s a great coffee indeed
J. R.
Truly exceptional mix of great food, wonderful coffee and genuine hospitality.
Á. U.
Coffee is great, but the place is very busy and small - rather to take away than drinking there
d. m.
I like it here, coffee is really good, atmosphere is cosy, staff are friendly and helpful...a nice alternative to the many other coffee shops in the area
E. S.
Tiny spot so don't expect many seats, but do anticipate very good coffee
B. M.
Good cappuccino, serving Square Mile coffee roasters when I was there. Great staff, friendly service!

D. J.
Really nice coffee. Very 'Australian' cafe atmosphere. One of the best coffees I had in London
S. F.
Got to be the best coffee in town. The lessons are amazing as well if you want to learn a bit of coffee art. Great staff.
M. C.
The best coffee house and chocolate brownies in London. The atmosphere is modern and they also offer free Wi-Fi.
j. c.
Great Quiche pizza. Tasty Sandwiches. Excellant coffee. Good Mango Muffins. Great Australian Coffee.
A. J.
Kaffeine is well designed, relaxed and more importantly has well made and great coffee and food. A haven - or more rightly I suppose - a coffee heaven.
S. S.
Great coffee, the staff are very friendly but on Sundays it’s a very busy place.
A. C.
Best coffee shop in London. Great coffee, superb food/snacks and lovely staff
