The coffee is excellent and a fair price. I had a really good croque monsieur. A great place for lunch.

I just love this place. It is my go-to in Central Walthamstow. It’s got the best vegetarian choices, fantastic pastries (they’re known for their pastries as they run a bakery nearby), solid coffee and super friendly owner/manager. It’s mostly French-based dishes with some Berber/North African/Arabic touches (usually some Makroud or other such Arabic pastries, and shakshouka is always on the menu) but a nice mix of Italian dishes like risottos lasagne, etc as well as omelettes so in the end it’s like a nouveau American cafe vibe. Fair prices and friendly, humble service are the cherry on top.

This place is great- the £1.90 takeaway Latte is superior to other (more trendy) E17 establishments which charge as much as 40% more. Therefore it is highly recommended for the coffee. I would like to try the food as it looks delicious.
