Reviews of Ozone Coffee Roasters, Shoreditch
C. G.
Completely fantastic experience and coffee at Ozone in their Shoreditch.
Having previously visited their Hackney location, I knew I would get an excellent brew.
I was given a seat and ordered their Nicaraguan Drip. It was well balanced and well extracted. If came with a nice card explaining the roast as well.
My oat flat white with their house roast blend was nice but I think their oat milk was a bit sour in my opinion...
Otherwise great interior, smells, and sounds. A must visit and top 10 for London definitely.
If you liked my review feel free to give it a 👍 and follow me on Google Maps for more coffee reviews!

Really nice atmosphere. Really relaxed with nice music playing in background. Good for catching up with friends or relaxing on your own with coffee and a small bite.
However, found it a bit expensive for what it is. Wouldn’t come here regularly.
P. P.
I dont get why they charge 3£ for service for one person. U would expect each spend about 25£ for a breakfast here with coffee and juice. The food was good but the coffee was not very tasty. the blend was very odd… Egg benedict with the potatoes cookies underneath was very good.
A. T.
Decent food menu. Pork schnitzel was tasty. Filter coffee was average, an interesting experience and cool decor but forgettable. Service was pleasant and friendly.
R. S.
It’s almost a speakeasy for coffee and brunch lovers as you can‘t quite see it from the outside.
Nicely creamy coffee, wide brunch menu served by attentive, friendly staff with a bit of upbeat music in the background.
Their vegan menu could be longer, really, but the banana bread alone makes it worth it!
Give it a try, you won’t regret it.

Good brunch near old street,
Had a toast with eggs and eggs benedict, it was good. They served tea in a very cute teapot. We arrived at 11 in between two rushes it seemed, and I think most people did not have a booking. We sat side by side very close to the take away area (they serve coffee and pastries to go) so I would recommend being three or four to get a proper booth.
Overall a nice saturday morning, always find brunch a little expensive for basic ingredients (count 17-20£ for a tea and single dish).
M.
Went for coffee and dessert - fantastic!
The cakes are excellent, the slices are generous and they also have some vegan cake options.
Great atmosphere, very friendly staff. I'll definitely go again and so should you!

You want to have your breakfast here !
Various of delicious worth-value breakfast dishes.
Great homemade coffee and kind service.
Arrive early or make reservations in order to avoid the line. Quite busy at the weekends.
FYI they don’t accept cash.
N. M.
Excellent brunch and didn't have to wait to long on a Saturday morning. Great coffee as usual
A. K.
Tldr: Highly recommended. Difficult picking something? Try banana bread.
They’re passionate at roasting their own beans, so I’ve no doubt on the freshness of coffee they served me.
Cold drip is smooth and aromatic, definitely worth a try. Banana bread is so full of flavour, take a dip in that crunchy nut butter and it’ll light up your afternoon.
O. G.
Great brunch spot with even better coffee! Their eggs Benedict was unique and really tasty, had the trout. Definitely heading here again.
A. S.
What an incredible experience here at ozone! Started with what can only be described as “expert level coffee” then moved on to the banana bread with peanut butter and that is an absolute game changer!!
Well worth a visit !

Spacious coffee shop in Shoreditch, great for socialising and plenty of bar seats and booths. Just had drinks this time, though their menu looked interesting

I used to go to Ozone regularly few years ago and went back a couple of times recently.
Food quality is great, I can’t say anything, it’s really good, but the service can improve. The last time I went it was around 4PM, close to their closing time and we only ordered two coffees and the cake of the day, there was no queue. The cake arrived very quickly but we waited at least 20 min for the coffees. 😱Also, I find it very expensive £17.25!!!!
Last time I had the same experience, coffee and brunch, I finished my brunch and still no coffee.
I could see plenty of people getting take away coffees.. a suggestion for the management, get coffees before or with food please!!!! I know you can do it!
A. P.
Amazing coffee (especially mocha) and really nice veggie brekkie
D. T.
My wife's favourite coffee place in perhaps the whole world, and now I can see why. Best coffee I've had since leaving Sydney, and brunch good to match.
Y. K.
The food and coffee was great, unique flavours especially the roasted mushroom on sourdough. I'm knocking off a couple of stars for the following:
I was really excited to come here especially because of the light and airy vibes the photos here present, but we were taken downstairs with is next to the toilets and dark and not a nice place to eat. I asked our server if we could be moved upstairs and she curtly said no. I think it would have been better if from the beginning before taking us to the basement to ask if we mind sitting there or if we want to wait for upstair seats to open.
On top of this they charge 15% service charge - no where should be charging this amount.
I'm disappointed because I genuinely had this on my list of places I wanted to go but the experience of sitting downstairs dampened it.

Consistently good coffee, efficient service and great breakfasts at Cafe Ozone. But £3.50 now for a t/a flat white (or over £4 to drink in)?!! Come on guys - I know we are living with inflation but please don’t elevate a daily decent coffee to another “luxury item/experience’ only accessible to Londons financial elite.
C. N.
Delicious food, very spacious, nice design and good service!
T. S.
Delicios food and coffee. Bought some beans for home as well and they are fantastic. Can’t wait to go back!
M. L.
No doubt - Best coffee in London.
Worth going the extra mile to get the coffee in here. While you are there you need to try their lunches as well. 10/10
M. P.
Delicious with a small but tasty selection of vegan options.

I feel like its become really pretentious here unfortunately. Also they stock minor figures oatmilk which to me tastes like lemon. Unfortunately couldnt taste the coffee flavor.
G. B.
Breakfast food was good but the latte & coffee are world class. So great!
S. T.
This place was amazing. My wife had the eggs benedict. Incredible bacon and a massive preference for the bubble and squeak base versus a bread base. I had the kedgeree... oh my. Insanely tasty and we haven't even covered the coffee roasted on premises. Wonderfully friendly staff - accommodating, polite, generous and present. Big fan.

You come for the coffee and you stay for the food! There are extremely original dishes that give a twist to expected brunch options.
Bathed in natural light (upstairs) and entertained by the frenetic yet orderly activity in their open kitchen, prepare yourself to have an enjoyable and filling experience.
In my opinion, totally worth trying the pancake, maybe not so "worth trying" (as there may be other things more interesting in the menu), the minced wagyu dish.
G. B.
Breakfast food was good but the latte & coffee are world class. So great!
I. G.
Very popular place, expect at least a 20 minute queue if you get here around 10am. Food is always great and the coffee definitely knows what’s going on. It’s a bit of a go-to place for antipodeans but you’d expect this being a fine kiwi establishment. Service is good, there’s your typical wait for food, the general vibe is quite lively and it’s spacious enough so you’re not seated on top of eachother. It is quite pricey for it to be a ‘regular’ brunch spot at around £12 a plate, but knowing where to treat yourself is key.
m.
Such great brunch! Had fried eggs with chilli corn bread, pancakes and banana bread and was amazed. Had a suspicion that the place couldn’t be so good to have people queueing all the time but it was! Definitely worth trying and waiting 10’ in line. Ambience is also spot on, open kitchen and storage and really good music. Finally, kudos that they are not picky on people who need to use laptops on the weekend like other places in Shoreditch...
J. H.
Nice chill coffee place with tastefull breakfast food
M. S.
Love Ozone. The beans are roasted on-site, which means it always smells lovely. There's a wide range of different coffee types to choose from each day. Plus the brunch is excellent.
J. H.
Amazing coffee, food, cafe design and service. In London’s top 10 for sure.
O. K.
Genuinely the best coffee I’ve had in London thus far. I ordered an oat mocha and a pancake with clotted cream and I was SUPER impressed with the presentation, quickness, and taste of my entire order! 10/10 recommend.
S.
This place is amazing. I came here one Saturday afternoon. There was a long queue but as I was alone, I got a seat right away. I sat right at the bar, where the chefs all work in immediate view of the whole restaurant. I had a beautiful flat white and a delicious breakfast (poached eggs, cured salmon, avocado on toast). The staff were lovely, the food was great, the music was chilled, the vibe was deeply therapeutic. And, what’s more, there’s a coffee roaster right in the basement, which (as a coffee enthusiast) I loved seeing. All in all, just a wonderful place. Pricey, but - if you can justify it - a real treat.
T. F.
Cosy & vibrant place with large windows that allow sunlight and open kitchen that add to its vibe. This in turn makes it one of the favourite breakfast spots in London.
Veggie brekkie and the pancake were good. The star of the meal was the halloumi egg Benedict. It was amazing.
The coffee here is absolutely great and worth the visit.
C. L.
The little wait was so worth it. This is THE brunch place for me. Every single dish was very simple but had a great taste. You could tell that the ingredients were of high quality. I still dream of their sour dough bread.
M. S.
The brunch food is always excellent, and their trout omelette is really worth the trip.
So far I've always had pretty bad experiences with the coffee though... I know many people say it's excellent, so maybe it's just my luck, but the latte is just not great. Go for the food though!
i. s.
You must order the omelette and the banana bread. it took us nearly an hour to wait for the omelette, but it was worth it.
N.
Beautiful kiwi/antipodean cafe right off Old Street. Superb specialty coffee (roasted on site) and really great brunch menu. Service is really friendly. The place gets filled up very quickly on the weekends so come early if you don't want a wait. I always try to make my way here for a coffee every time I'm in the area.
J. L.
Spent a few hours here to do some work while waiting for my wife.
Pretty nice decor, open kitchen in the middle.
Staffs are friendly.
Ordered a cold brew which is pretty decent.
Didn't ordered any food, but I sat at the bar and can see the chiefs were aking some very nice brunch. Will give that a try next time!
J. H.
Great coffee and food place.
Great tasting coffee, great tasting food. In a great interior designed off the main street, big front windows letting in loads of light, you can sit up at the bar area, table area, or along the front by the windows.
Friendly staff who are always happy to help.
Gets busy at lunch time and after work hours.
Also a down stairs for extra space when upstairs is packed.
Sells alcohol in the evenings and becomes more of a bar/restaurant.
Worth a visit and a coffee and something to eat.
Bags of coffee available to buy.
M. G.
This is a fabulous space... the coffee is above average.... they were quick to take the coffee order but very very slow to get the coffee to our table. We ordered only one dish and that was very good... the place has an amazing buzz. Overall a happy place to be. But u must have time. Tad expensive.
S. G.
Good, but not the best :) Much better than average London-cappuccino-chocolate-on-the-top, but far from Berlin/Amsterdam/Athens third wave coffee shops
We have taken cappuccino, flatwhite. Both were good, but overheated. Filter coffee is ok.
We took beans to try for home aeropress. I will update review with results :)
B. S.
This cafe is one of my favourites. The decor, the food (great vego, vegan, or gf options), the atmosphere, the service, everything was just top notch. Even the prices were reasonable for this kind of place. I'll be back if ever I'm in London again, that's for sure.
We stumbled upon it completely by accident, just walking towards a different place google maps had recommended, saw the sign for Ozone down the street, disappointed by the look of the original goal place, we decided to stop by and check out Ozone.
We walked in and immediately knew this was the place we wanted to have Sunday brunch in. House plants hanging from the walls, wooden tables, chairs, and floorboards, chic hanging lamps and large windows for lighting, freshd and desserts on the front counter, coffee roasting downstairs (!!!), a giant street-art-style work on a wall, brick wall in other parts, the perfect level of cafe buzz - enough to create a nice ambiance but quiet enough that we didn't have to shout to be heard.
One delightful but unusual aspect was how large the window-facing bar/tables was. In most cafes the spots facing the window are at a table/bar/counter just large enough for your plate and mug. Here, we had space, we weren't cramped! I could have comfortably sat with my laptop and my plate and my mug and possibly my camera too, all in a line between me and the window. It wasn't too huge, it was just the right size. And this wasn't compensated by being squishy behind us either, we weren't knocked or disturbed at all by people going past, because there was plenty of room between our benches and the front counter with desserts and payments as well.
The waitstaff were very welcoming and friendly, and the service very rapid despite being a busy Sunday morning. When we needed more time with the menu they were cheery about giving us that time, and seemed to appear out of nowhere just when we were ready to order!
The food. The food was soooo good! They have some pretty standard, delicious brunch fare with a little twist here and there for those feeling less adventurous, like pancakes with bacon and chocolate sauce, or eggs any-way on scrumptious bread, or banana bread, or granola. For the adventurous, there are some awesome options. Also so many good options for vegetarians, vegans, gluten free etc. I had scrambled silken tofu with chickpea masala, fermented chili caponata, fennel and dukkah on a delicious slice of rye bread. Incredibly delicious, and a perfect portion - not enormous, but perfectly satisfying. My friend had beetroot and cumin fry-bread with crushed avo, smoked yoghurt, spring leaves, apple, and poached egg, which was also completely scrumptious.
I'm not a coffee drinker but my friend said the flat white was fantastic. The hot chocolate that I had was very good. Not the usual mediocre Cadbury powder ones I often get at cafes, but a good quality one, not overly sugary.
For two drinks and two meals we payed £29. Not cheap at all, but pretty standard for a good breakfast/brunch place like Ozone I think.
I. N.
The hipster cafe with awesome aeropress coffee and great eggs benedict. Early weekend should get you a seat but it gets more crowded towards the afternoon. One of the must-visit haven for coffee lovers in London.
K. F.
Ozone coffee never fails to disappoint. Not only do they make delicious coffee (take some beans home too!) but their food menu is second to none. I've been visiting here for over 4 years and every time it's a big treat. The service is amazing and the atmosphere is great (even during covid). Being an open kitchen also means you can watch the chefs work away as you drink. Lots of good vegan options and sides.
G. E.
Amazing ambiente and very sweet staff, great hot chocolate and hot chai vanilla, my friend and I came here late in the evening last Friday and thoroughly enjoyed our time there. The staff is extremely accommodating and fast with their service. We loved the Australian dessert menu and their take on the cheesecake (yes that picture is a cheesecake) the quality of the food was extremely good too and we loved the fact that you could see into the kitchen and watch the chefs cook.
It is a bit more on the expensive side, however it truly is worth it, and I recommend sharing a dessert with someone else (the cheesecake was very rich and I don’t think I would have been able to eat the whole thing by myself - although it really was delicious)
A. J.
I feel like its become really pretentious here unfortunately. Also they stock minor figures oatmilk which to me tastes like lemon. Unfortunately couldnt taste the coffee flavor.

Best coffee in town!!! They roast their own beans! If you love deep and chocolaty notes. Give it a try. One is not enough!
1. Ozone coffee

Going there soon!

Coffee was good but was a little burnt. Friendly staff and I like the open kitchen style, however I find the concept a little confusing. Be prepared to be asked to move a lot if you're doing work there. Coffee was rather small sized. Quite noisy inside too.
V. G.
Loved the place. Amazing coffee. I have ordered the pancakes, different but good, however will not order it again. My friend had salmon egg Benedict and it was delicious.
J. W.
Old street, a place are quite a character.
On one side, it is a scene of high-tech startup, which is called Silicon Roundabout; on the other side, it is a scene full of creativity, heavy and bold colours of street arts, very East London. In a word, exciting and thriving, so is the coffee shop I checked this time nearby.
London Coffee Shop for Digital Nomads-22
Ozone Coffee Roasters
Category: Artisan roastery’s coffee shop
WIFI: Reliable and free to use (need to register)
Seating: They have a long bar stool and bench with big glass windows, which gets lots of natural lights even in such a cloudy day. And there are many tables and chairs inside as well as some stools by the open kitchen. Totally around 50-55 seats. You could find some power sockets near the window. Very handy place and completely full when I visited it in the afternoon.
Ambience: The interior design is warehouse style with strong aroma of fruity coffee and the huge flavour of omelettes…egg…and cheese?!… What a contradiction! But it just works very well! Many office worker nearby come over. The staff is very friendly and patient, and they bring you a bottle of water and a cup when you are waiting.
Cost:
Coffee £2.4-£2.6
Filter Coffee £3-£8
Tea £2.5-£3.0
Food(Breakfast/Brunch/Lunch) £6-£12.5
Something special about the cafe:
(1) They have onsite bakery for breakfast, lunch and snacks, with an open kitchen.
(2) You could visit their un-refurbished basement space where the coffee beans are roasted, pretty cool experience.
(3) The coffee is really good and you could feel the fruit aroma, especially the coffee bags.
J. F. S.
Great coffee and brunch place. The coffee is at highest quality with everything that speciality coffee has to offer. You'll find v60, aeropress and all espresso based beverages. They even roast their own beans at the place.
The food is exceptional too. We had an Omelett and a tortilla and both were great and very sophisticated.
C. G. M. (.
A hidden gem!
Amazing interior design and their food was extremely tasty!
Their Chef Luca was extremely polite, friendly, and provided the best service.
I would suggest getting the banana bread 🍞
J. J.
Best eggs salmon benedict! They served crispy potatoes rather than traditions muffin which made it so much better. I had flat white with oat milk which is abit bitter however. Regardless, overall experience was great!
H.
Food was a bit under seasoned. Had the eggs Benny. Miniscule amount of trout so could barely taste it. Hollandaise lacked flavour. Bubble and squeak was just potatoes. Chicken burger was rather dry. Macchiato was very bitter. Staff were lovely though and great setting. Food was okay, not sure it's worth the price however.
P. P.
Lovely food, I had an amazing homemade granola with apricots and yoghurt. Service was amazing. The only downside, but I guess this is a question of preference: the espresso was too acidic for me. Would definitely recommend for lunch with friends or colleagues. Oh, not to forget: the interior design and the coffee machines are amazing.
M. J.
Went here with friends and fully recommend the place. There was 4 of us and outside of the coffees we ordered to start, we had a dish each. We went for the smoked cheddar cornbread with chilli butter (okay), seeded granola with stone fruit and oat milk (good), big brekkie which was scrambled egg on sourdough with bacon and roast tomatoes (nice) and 3-cheese & smoked carrot tortilla with poached egg (brilliant). We went overboard and topped it off with Kaffir lime pancake which was pretty good too. Only reason not to give a 5 star is they don't take reservations over weekends so you could be queued up for quite a while (upto an hour even).
P. R.
Delicious. I wanted to try so many of the breakfast options but had a very tasty Veggie Breakfast today. Love the building and the service is great. Coffee strong.
J. D.
Cute, hipster and a great atmosphere, Ozone is now a go to place for my friends and I. The coffee is excellent, the food is delicious and the service is great. The guys there don't make you feel like customers, but as friends. Definitely recommend for any coffee lovers or if you're looking for somewhere cool for breakfast or brunch.
C. B.
Amazing food, different and original options.
We ordered the omelette and falafel, plus a side of chips to share.
Coffee is simply delicious and you can get your own bag and take it home.
The atmosphere is cosy, even though they have this industrial looking, with minimalist touches. And although the place is big enough, be prepared to wait for a few minutes if you go on peak times.
Staff very attentive and nice.
Overall, a very nice experience.
D. C.
You wouldn't know it from the outside but this place is a hive of activity. We enjoyed really nice coffee, deliciously fresh OJ and a lovely bit of breakfast. We sat at the bar where you can watch the chefs cook right in front of you, really cool. We'll return if we are in the area in the future.
E. T.
Just go! Perfect for solos as the open kitchen bar keeps your eyes busy, if not that then the guys roasting coffee just beneath your feet will!
Excellent coffee and such good food!
Why have I not been there before?
O. A. T.
Nice place to stop by for coffee, food, a catch up with friends, or to get some work done (though it can get quite noisy). Coffee is really good here and they offer oat and soy as non-dairy alternatives. Would love to see almond milk on the menu but understand that places don’t do this for allergy-related reasons. Service is good despite it being busy.
T. H.
Great place and can't recommend enough. Food was bang on both times I visited, as is the coffee. It's a great layout as you can see the chefs cooking and prepping in front of you if you are sitting at the bar tables.
A. B.
Fresh tasty food, nice cup of coffee, a very good start for the day 👍🏽
J. P.
Back again to favorite cool coffee and breakfast place in London. The standard is always great the staff friendly and helpful - with a lot of New Zealand charm. Hollandaise and halloumi is divine - still! Roast tomatoes are great and they know how to source the best ripe avo. Get a bar seat and watch the magic happen.
G. M.
Visited a few times during my short London stay, food was delicious and really good coffee, definitely recommend staying at the bar! Great vibe overall.
G. F.
The coffee and foods were ok, the coffee didn’t wow me but it’s decent.
During the weekend it was very very busy, a lot of people so it wasn’t the atmosphere of a chill brunch but more of a visit to check the box.
It’s also unavoidable that some staffs were less friendly as the day goes by due to the high traffic - don’t blame them.
S. K.
One of the best coffee I ever had in London. They have their own coffee roasting machine and selling it. I'd veg lunch here, which is totally amazing and full. I feel, it's worth paying for the food served.
I see people are social and quite noisy during lunch but it's enjoyable when you go with friends and family, you'd love the place.
Thank you Ozone ;)
J. G.
busy during weekdays, definitely recommend booking a table. The staff were lovely. The food was amazing as well. 100% recommend the banana bread.
J. E.
Probably one of my favorite places for breakfast ever. And this is coming from a Brooklyn yuppie.
Highlight: the grilled mushroom on sourdough. Your mushrooms have ruined all other mushrooms for me. Together with the pickled onions and the poached egg and cheesey cream...🥴 (They also have a side of mushrooms, so if you don't get the full dish, at least try them on the side.)
Idk what it is you do to your food/drinks but whatever it is, keep it up.
J. L.
Fantastic Café / bistro. The americano I took was almost perfect, at the right temperature which fostered the flavour in short sips. The food was awesome, fish of the day and risotto with a nice mixture of flavours. Nothing to envy to other upscale places. The ambient on a Thursday evening was also great, superb for long conversations. On the lower level, you can peer at how the cofee is roasted. The aroma fills the place, which makes it even more enjoyable!
B. B.
Very nice and chill cafe. Good food & the Kedgeree was delicious.
G.
had a flat white, cappuccino and coconut cake, they are quite amazing but price is not too cheap comparatively. Dine in for all in total £10.8, atm they take card but not cash.
Aw but staff asked not to stay too long in the coffee house - do not feel the best as i did order food but not just a coffee and stuck there - so deducted one star - all in all still is a ok independent small chain
D. W.
Best coffee roasters in old street. If you’re fan of oat milk, note that have changed brand and don’t use oatly anymore. Coffee still amazing. Highly recommend banana bread, delicious almond butter.
O. D.
The coffee is excellent. The food is good. We had poached eggs with benedict sauce with smoked salmon on top of mashed potatoes. It was good but a bit blend, the benedict sauce could have had a little more lemon. On the other side the minced beef on toast was very tasty. It comes with an also very tasty chutney that was a bit too much on the acidic side for my taste.
On the price side, we paid around 75£ for 4. Finally on Sunday morning the service was a bit slow.
董.
Coffee is so good! The food I ordered was nice but not too special. And if you plan to go on Sunday afternoon, you may need prepare 30 mins for queue.
K. T.
Delicious food and great coffee. The place is huge and always busy yet it’s well managed and you feel they’re taking good care of you. Good place to shop for some specialty coffee beans. Great experience overall!
C. F.
Kiwi-run cafe with excellent flat whites. Nice selection of baked goods and pretty extensive breakfast menu. Able to snag two counter seats without a wait at 10:30am on Sat. Do not get the green brekkie...repeat DO NOT GET THE GREEN BREKKIE. The tofu was the saddest tofu known to exist...dried out bits that looked like croutons. The egg scrambles looked like the way to go.
S. G.
Great coffee, quite busy but what really bothered me is whilst they are rushing to serve the food, they actually don’t cook it properly. They serve undercooked eggs and soggy (uncooked inside) fries — which is unacceptable. If you cannot properly serve food for that many people, reduce the capacity or hire more cooks!
E. L.
Great place for brunch. Too much fat though - which is probably what makes everything taste so good. Fluffy pancakes. V60 was great.
S. T.
Great coffee and light meals, excellent vibe, great to sit in the aromas of the coffee being roasted right there.
Very full, had to wait a bit for a seat, but that’s probably because everyone knows how good this place is :-)
C. N.
Ozone is the best for kiwi coffee and treats. Love the menu and the place. Highly recommended for any kiwi needing a bit of home in the city
P. H.
Up there with my favourite coffee shops in London. Attentive staff from the moment we set foot in the door, great coffee, unbelievably tasty food, and a coffee roasting machine, in full swing, right in the middle of the place.
Can’t recommend it enough.
K. U.
The fruit pig bacon (extra crispy) is to die for with the eggs Benedict. Great coffee, friendly staff. Awesome food.

This place is amazing and I always come back. The service is great, the food tastes fantastic and no need to talk about the coffee, which is always on point. Try the banana bread and be prepared to become addicted!

Ozone Coffee Roasters is one of my favorite coffee shops in London and probably around the world. Every time I visit London for a long weekend I have Ozone on top of my to-do list.
Ozone is located in Shoreditch, a really cool neighborhood that offers galleries, shops, a large market and multiple venues for a great weekend brunch.
When it comes to Ozone, the coffee is roasted at the space itself, always fresh and comes in a wide selection of brewing methods. You can see the attention to details everywhere (the ACME cups, the LM Strada customized espresso machine, and the list goes on…).
Brunch there has been consistently good every time I went to Ozone. We usually go for 1-2 main dishes accompanied by multiple sides.
Overall, a great location, amazing coffee and delicious brunch. Highly recommend.

Had an hour to kill before a show at XOYO. Ended up here because it’s not super crowded like every other pub at 7pm. Had the pork rib eye - very nicely done - and the negroni - also good. The central open kitchen becomes a good focal point balancing out the space. Had a pleasant seat at the bar. Would recommend Ozone Cafe to anyone exploring Shoteditch. How do I give this place 4.5 stars?
S. K.
This place has great coffee and food, though I would love to see more vegetarian options from them. Get there early or be prepared to wait, but the service is friendly and the food/beverage is worth the wait.
G. L.
The cafe looks like modern bunker!
But it is the lovely place!
I love this place, but the music sounds is quite loud.
I just wanted to talk with friends
C. P.
The coffee is splendid. I had the granola and it was delicious, but note it is a healthy portion / quite filling. The Bloody Mary was super tasty too. Atmosphere is an A+. They're playing 90s hip hop, there's a ton of natural light and it's just a good morning vibe all around. It's a great place to socialize as well as work (lots of people on their laptops hanging out solo).
N. L.
It was recommended by one of my barista friends, he loves this cafe and I do so!
Nicely strong coffee and delicate brunch menus! Little bit crowd at busy time but can bear it! Roastery locate at downstairs!
J.
After peak time the place is quite accessible, no long queues. The staff is very helpful. You can see how the kitchen works (open to public). The food is a bit pricey. A cake on the picture costs £8+service charge. They roast their own coffee which is great!
A. V.
The breakfast and brunch dishes are absolutely fantastic and plenty of the dishes are not your average breakfast dishes, so I love coming here. My favorite is the blueberry pancakes with the chocolate mousse and yogurt and bacon, unfortunately you can only get it at the weekend but luckily plenty other items to choose from if you come during the week. They have a massive coffee roaster downstairs and serve different style coffees. And they also have nice pastries as well as some nice cakes. I really like the place as it's always buzzing but most times I went there never had to wait for a table longer then 10-15 min. I like it that the place has an open kitchen and you get to see what's going on if you sit near it. I was recommended this place by a friend of mine a few months ago and since then I took plenty of people there and they all liked it lot.

Really good options for breakfast
Banana bread / nut butter / raspberry jam 😍
Poached eggs on fried something is really good (forgot the name 🤷♂️)
Poached eggs on tortilla and labneh is also good 👍
Batch brew nicaragua was soft on aftertaste
Batch brew costa rica didnt offer anything special
Will come here again for sure
M. F.
Wonderful cafe, great Baristas and waiters. Food all fresh and great quality. They truly know how to make coffee and to run their shop. Freshly roasting beans downstairs. One of the best in London.
C. Y.
Home, sweet home!
As a Kiwi, I miss home flat white so much! So glad this NZ brand is opening their store in London! Try their coffee! You won’t regret!
M. P.
This little micro roaster coffee shop is fantastic. With coffee beans roasted so well you don’t need sugar.
R. J.
This breakfast place is warmly recommended. The atmosphere is really nice and you breakfast is prepared in front of you. The dish was so delicious and well prepared. Very busy place and staff are really friendly. Its ten time better than breakfast at the hotels nearby
M. T.
Love the decor of this place. Amazing brew coffee and healthy meal options. The beetroot ravioli is super good!!!!
M. D. V.
It was super busy for Saturday lunch so we had to wait for 10 minutes. Staff is nice and food is good, although a bit pricey.
They have vegan and gluten free options, although I ordered a vegetarian option because vegans weren’t so exciting for me.
F. v. A.
Sometimes you can see from the outside that a place is cool, relax, good and with no attitude. I had that with Ozone, the inside matched the outside. Great place!
K. S.
Cosy but busy restaurant, had to wait 5-10mins to be seated but no worry at all! Fab menu, lots of veggie choices. Great clean food. We sat at the bar overlooking the kitchen, was wonderful (and a bit distracting!) Seeing all the fresh dishes being prepared. Ordered the English breakfast tea and it could do with being a bit stronger. Friend loved the coffee! Great for brunch with friends. Staff friendly and efficient. Good prices. Will definitely return!
B. C.
Amazing 5 🌟 coffee 5 🌟 food. Well worth the wait. Can't say any more... apart from it's busy.
Y. P.
Best coffee in the Old street/Shoreditch area. It’s the place where I recommend to friends and bring some of them all the time while I used to live in the area- their flat white / latte is just amazing (for flatwhite, I would say it’s perfect) and some of the brunch menus I’ve tried are decent (please do try mushroom dish with poached egg in the photo) — personally recommend to go try brunch menus (!!) rather than dinner ones. Also have to warn you that it gets bit too crowded sometimes which means that you need to queue (also there’re always a long queue for take-away) and staff could be really busy to pay full attention during your meal— but still they’re basically friendly and helpful.
A. P.
Small coffee bar, fast friendly service. Spectacular coffee and a small selection of fresh donuts and pastries. Best coffee in the area.
M. W.
Ozone do amazing coffee, managed to meet some friends for an outdoor catch up and sandwiches a few months ago and it was just as delish as eat in
A. R. F.
Hidden gem, absolutely amazing. Great food, great coffee, also really good to work in.
Tried the aeropress coffee, it was really nice.
Also had the falafel and hummus plate with hazelnuts, delicious
I would recommend this place to anyone around Old Street
Will definitely come back
T. D.
Nice experience, but not a fan of the recommended bean - also, beware of the downstairs tables that are right next to the open-plan bathroom area!
L. Y.
Great coffee, great food, owned by Kiwis! Long queue though, so try to go either early or late.
L.
We went there for brunch and everything was very good. Especially the flat white is the best in town... and one of the best things is the live cooking and you can eat in the bar in front of the kitchen
A. M.
Service was friendly, and they do pride themselves on quality. My concern is the price. For a long black where the liquid is a good 2 cm below the small cup rim £4.05 is just too pricey.
D. M.
Hipster breakfasts are funnier, when you are over 50.
The well-groomed bearded young man took my order for “An Americano, black; the farm fresh brown eggs folded gently and served on the toasted organic sourdough bread; and a side of your organic pork belly that has been sliced and fried to be light and crispy.”
He replied “classic,” smiling and went off to get my order.
“Classic,” I thought.
I suppose he is right. All I ordered was scrambled eggs with toast and bacon with a black coffee.
It was really quite a nice place. The encounter just made me chuckle. He was really quite nice.
I’d certainly recommend the place.
M. S.
Only got takeout, but Great coffee and pastry.
Service from the window was a little slow and the non existent takeout queuing system left a bunch of people slightly confused all milling around politely ignoring each other not sure if it was their turn or not!
Could do with a better sign and taking names :)
M. A.
Simple & Straight Forward Coffee Spot In Shoreditch
Genuinely Nice Staff And Quick To Serve, Exactly What I Needed
There is a Cafe Side & Restaurant Side, So They Do Have Full Meals Available To You
A Double Espresso & A Quick Dessert Hit The Spot For Me
Bench Seating On The Cafe Side, With Ample Plugs For Laptops Or Chargers
L. K.
Cool coffee place, nice staff but i prefer cosy place. Tea and cakes are nice . Did not try the coffee Yet.
Brew AT Home 😉
D. L.
Great coffee, consistently high standard and cool decor. Would recommend
s. c.
The service was amazing! The atmosphere was amazing but I had an average eggs & coffee.
R. C.
Never had eggs Benedict before. I finished mine and then my friends :) Y artsy place. Food menu was unusual. definitely want to try more foods. Lucky work is next door. Service was good but sometime I felt like nobody was actually listening..asked for honey twice. Btw they remembered my food and coffee was finished. Coffee 10stars... delicious..
J. P.
Favorite cool coffee and breakfast place in London. The standard is always great the staff friendly and helpful - with a lot of New Zealand charm. Hollandaise and halloumi is devine. Get a bar seat and watch the magic happen.
A. L.
Best brunch, coffee and service in London. We go every Saturday morning with our baby boy and do not dare try another place. FYI- I'm Australian and know good coffee and brunch. Well done team and see you next week!
A. M.
Delicious breakfast on a Saturday morning. I would have liked to stay the entire day and eat my way through their menu. I'll definitely be coming back here soon.
V.
A nice place with table service, good food and drinks. Had a pleasure to try pretty good flat white here. If you need to work, it's a great pick.
C. A.
Awesome place - great coffee and really cool vibe. We sat at the kitchen counter and it was really cool to see the chefs working, they put a lot of care into the food they are preparing. I ordered the beef shin and it was very good, I will definitely be back.
D. D.
The best café in London. Awesome coffee with sooo many brew methods (aeropress, V60, woodneck etc), great food (and the menu changes seasonally), the best omelette I've ever had, loads of seats, cute waitresses (and waiters), a cool roaster downstairs for the Asians to take photos of, free wifi, three clean toilets…what more could you want?? Nothing!
L. V.
Very good coffee, nice atmosphere, friendly staff. Food looks very well but I never tried something from their menu.
A. C.
Big, airy and beautifully decorated location with amazing food (we had the mushrooms on toast with poached egg and bacon) great juices and unreal coffee! 10/10 would recommend ☕️
K. B.
Ozone continually stuns. It was one of the first and best coffee + brunch places in London and stills sets the bar high. Eggs benedict is a staple across any respectable cafe; Ozone puts its own twist on it with a bubble and squeak benedict. Read it on the menu and go "What?" Eat it and go "Omg!" Since they introduced dinner service it's just gotten even better. Whether you want food or a takeout coffee, you can't really go wrong here. The bar overlooking the street up front is an excellent place to park for a while and work and watch the world go by (especially in the summer when the windows are open), if you don't mind the buzzy atmosphere.
J. B. H.
Great brunch place. Dishes are a bit more original than most places. I recommend it!
L. D.
Very good. Love it
D. C.
Lovely place, but the waiter, Simon takes it all! He was very helpful, so kind and served us with extra care. He put such a big effort for helping me find a meal suitable for my Gluten-free diet (celiac)
Next time in London, definitely will come here! Thank you Simon and the kitchen for the good, throughout service xx
j. b.
A contemporary interior that maximises exploiting the roaster plant's 'coal-face' for atmospheric potential...and that intoxicating aroma.
Adventurous and varied menu across the palate and price spectrum, craft beer, cocktails and flavoursome coffee that comfortably holds its own in an area heaving with competition.
Animated and overtly theatrical here with a rehearsed staff, both efficient and attentive.
Welcome to showtime.
T. C.
I'm not usually one for five staring however this was a deserved exception. This is my second time here and one of the best, if not the best coffee I've tasted in London. The Barista's know exactly what they're doing and they seem fully professional in what they're doing.
The food is just as good with chef's preparing snack type meals all day in the middle of the room. If you're around this area I would definitely check this place out.
E.
One of the best brunch places in London (I'd imagine). It's worth waiting for an upstairs table, preferably at the bar so you can watch the fabulous chefs doing their thing.
J. L.
Coffee professionally roasted and prepared in house. Excellent selection of coffee beans. Food menu is reasonable with nice poached eggs. Interior is raw and industrial downstairs next to the roasting station. Staff are helpful and knowledgeable on coffee. Recommend must visit place for coffee lovers with free WiFi
F.
Great coffee. Flat white was one of my favorite in london. They use minor figures organic oat milk, that in my personal taste and opinion is the best way to go in terms of oat milk :) espresso is also really good. It’s my go to coffee shop for sure!
F.
Delicious breakfast. Huge place so not much of a wait. Great service, delicious and fresh food, lovely toast and great scrambled eggs. We all enjoyed the coffee so much and the orange juice was fresh and delicious.
A. P.
Perfect for a coffee or breakfast before work. Yummy and imaginative menu items and decent coffee.
M. T.
Great fresh coffee, all roasted in house. Plenty of seating for meals as well as meetings. I have had many in there. The food here is incredible. Staff are amazing and really helpful and friendly
L. P.
I really love this place though being completely honest, it’s for the food not the coffee (which is fine I’m sure but I don’t really drink the stuff - sacrilege though that is to admit).
The ingredient combos are surprising and exciting and I love trying to guess what the flavours are. There’s a range of dishes for everyone including vegans, dairy-free etc so generally easy to find some (and in my case LOTS) of things you want to eat.
The staff are lovely too. Friendly, attentive and generally pretty knowledgeable about the food
L. A.
I love this place. The food is amazing and the place beautiful. The staff is very nice and helpful.
Make sure you go early if you want to brunch on Sundays, it gets super packed!!
K. K. (.
Really cosy cafe with great selection of coffee and brewing methods to choose from: batch filter, V60, aeropress. 10% of the service is added to the bill automatically.
T. Q.
Coffee is ok. Their Latte is better than Flat White. More efficient seating staff will definitely cut down the queuing time
M. A.
What I liked: my oat milk mocca. It was delicious and looked super good. I also liked the friendly staff and the look of the place.
What I didn't like so much: service was slow, prices were on the expensive side, it was raining into the café and I had to ask someone to shut the windows.
R.
I'm from Saudi Arabia and order my coffee overseas, absolutely delicious options starting from single origins to blends !
K. L.
Great coffee options and food. Staff are nice. Definitely worth the wait.
T. M.
GOOD TO SEE THIS OASIS OF CALM FULLY UP & RUNNING AGAIN
Sat afternoon, 5 June, with an hour to kill between meeting people in Shoreditch, I retreated to Ozone for a decent pot of tea. Reasonably full, with seating distancing well observed & all staff mearing masks. Conversation levels quiet (unlike the loud hollering & laughter at nearby outdoor beer gardens & eateries). The air conditioning was set ideally for me: i.e. cool without being chilled. As always, service good & toilets clean. The take away service from the hatch onto the street was also doing brisk trade.
S. O.
One of my fave brunch places. Coffee is excellent as expected and the setting is very cool. But my fave bit is sitting at the bar and watching the cooks do their thing! The seasonal menu is a another unique and appreciated touch!
F. A.
Amazing coffee. The staff is so nice as well. They have the best blondies in town but every time I want to buy one, they ran out 😭
B. B.
Went there for a late tea. The employees were OK with us, even smiling! Will consider to eat there if I have the opportunity. (the food looked great on the other tables...
A. L.
Ozone is by far my favourite cafe in London. Since arriving from Melbourne I've tried out countless cafes and have to say the flat whites here are on point! ☕️👌🏼
R. C.
Fantastic food - the ‘Turkish eggs’ was one of the best brunch meals I’ve ever had, and the orange cooler was absolutely delicious. Very friendly staff and cool decor.
Z. L.
I really like the latte, however could you make a cherry flavoured coffee. I know that sounds weird, however, it might actually taste nice. have a nice day
R. C.
What can I say. Superb coffee and balanced, well made food. We had omelette and a side of eggs. Both were brilliantly cooked with fresh tasting ingredients and well balanced flavours. The baked goods look great. I would definitely recommend this and will be going back
L. M.
Perfect place for brunch, getting work done, snacks. Spacious, modern, and cozy! And of course great coffee and latte art.
W. N.
Really wonderful coffee, and the breakfast is really good . Casual sitting and the staff is very nice
P. C.
Casual vibe, original menu & friendly staff. The food was delicious and the coffee is one of the best I have had in London.
J. A.
Top quality coffee, good juices, good food and polite staff.
J. S.
Great everything..... so much more then just great coffee! Great vibe, decor, ambiance , food and staff!
A. S. G.
Somebody that I met at the Liverpool Street recommended this place. Mocha is excellent, give it a try!
J. C.
Love the marmite & cheese scone. Fluffy, lightly savory, can’t taste the marmite part, which is a good thing LOL. Cappuccino is also great. Gonna try the brunch omelette sometime.
E. C.
So Ozone was a 5 minute walk from my flat, so naturally I went probably twice a week. Their coffee is absolutely the best in London for starters. Their lamingtons are perfect and you cannot go wrong with any of their dishes. On weekends, getting a side of hash browns is a MUST
E.
Wonderful coffee, cool ambiance, fairly friendly service, WiFi available too
l. t.
Coffee is really good!!
So is the food. Stroñgly recommended!!!
A. B.
Hyped up hipster place for a good coffee. And yes, the coffee IS good
ת. א.
Great food, nice vibe. It took a while to get our order but overall very good experience.
R. K.
Great for breakfast. Love that open kitchen. Will def come back
D. G.
Great coffee, great staff, relaxed atmosphere. This place is my go to in the area.
R. M.
Amazing coffee, and very tasty cakes. The interior was nice if just a bit noisy.
P. M.
We really can't rate Ozone highly enough. Absolutely exceptional coffee which is of the highest quality. The roastery provided Lewisham Hospital with endless supplies of coffee during multiple covid waves which was really appreciated by staff throughout a difficult year. Thank you so much!
T. C. P.
Great coffee and delicious food! Roasted tomatoes and Halloumi in the veggie breakfast. And a huge mirror!
A. R.
Achingly cool but the coffee’s great and the food delicious.
V. L.
Great breakfast, lovely service. Would recommend the omelette for breakfast or brunch!
M. S.
Nice atmosphere, but the coffee is very bitter and expensive, with slow service.
O. S.
Great atmosphere. Huge place. Enough selection of coffee and a very interesting food menu. Original restaurant dishes from the chef.
K. E.
Outstanding food, great service and a fantastic atmosphere. One of the best places in London for breakfast.
M. P.
Coffee is roasted in this beautiful and modern space. The only downside is sitting by the kitchen: you will end up smelling of whatever they are cooking.
J. C.
Great breakfast! Coffee more on the acidic side.
J. P. J.
Really nice place to get some work done. The coffee is nothing short of perfection. The staff are also very friendly and accommodating.
B. H.
Really nice environment, good coffee and nice wine too — food is great! Waiters are a little heavy handed though, I didn’t exactly feel welcome
G. H.
It’s a great experience. The ambiance is very welcoming and cosy. Staff are very friendly
C. J.
Pros
Excellent coffee. Their batch brew is top quality, and their espresso works great for flat whites.
The food is really good, and a pretty decent selection to choose from.
It's a nice environment, and given how busy they are the staff are always friendly and helpful.
Cons
It is ridiculously busy. You will probably wait and you will probably feel a bit rushed.
The food isn't cheap, and I'm not sure it's always worth it.
You can't come here to enjoy a comfortable seat with a book. If you're on your own, you'll be given a stool.
M. S.
I couldn't have had a better experience for breakfast during the times of Covid19 - such lovely staff, they make you super welcome and secure. On top of that they were able to accommodate me with vegan and glutenfree side dishes, that formed a beautiful breakfast (I chose mushrooms and avocado), though my favourite was the Spicey Soy Chai Latte. Just remember to pre-book a table so you are guaranteed a breakfast spot and enjoy :)
M. L.
I tried the coffee, a fantastic cocktail and some food. All of which were delicious. I sat watching the chefs cook my food, and I was impressed with their organisation and how well they worked together.
Music was at a nice volume, and the cafe/restaurant/bar was kept clean!
Definitely recommend, thanks!
H. A. L.
Definitely a very hipster-grunge kind of place. Popular with the young crowd. Food and drinks are on the pricier side but coffee is done properly at least
J. G.
Great service , great coffee. Highly recommend.
L. T. L.
Lovely spot - ambiance and food being the highlights for me. Came in for lunch and had the kedgeree whilst my friend had the mushrooms on toast, and both dishes were fantastic, especially for a coffee-first spot. I also loved sitting in front of the cooks at work.
P. H.
It's a hidden gem with all day brunch! What not to love?!
The waiting time was quite reasonable since we were there on a busy Saturday afternoon. The food came quickly despite them telling us we might need to wait up-to 30 minutes. A good hipster vibe to the place
Quite laid back.
N. A. K.
Best black coffee I’ve ever had in London !
R. P.
Well executed and robust but I didn't find the flavour to be that great - rather one-dimensional.
R. K.
Coffee is great. Just really hard to get served
T. H.
Batch brews on offer are smooth, reliable, yet a bit boring and “standard” compared to other speciality coffee roasters / cafés in Central London.
B. P.
so far have not been able to find brunch any better than Ozone. Love being able to see the chefs at work. The menu is great
Coffee is amazing. Good is 100% and service is exemplary. I often make the effort to go from Clapham to Old St for Sunday brunch and am never disappointed.
w.
Great coffee if your ever in shoreditch area
m. r.
BEST LAMINGTON EVER- you will not be disappointed. Great brunch and coffee too
E. R.
Great coffee, unfortunately let down by service. 22 minutes to get a V60 filter coffee in the morning 🤨
V. S.
Very aesthetic place. I didn't like the coffee. I think its overrated
L. Z.
After waiting for 45 minutes for a table we had an absolutely tasty breakfast, it was worth every minute! I strongly recommend the wagyu mince on toast! Their coffee gets roasted on the spot and tastes fantastic! The atmosphere is very warm and welcoming and the location invites to stay there for studying or reading.. even though the place is quiet big and busy, the staff is very kind and attentive. I’ll come back for sure.
벨.
The staff was so kindly !!!!
Coffee is really good as well.
And nice vibe !
A. ..
Great for a bank holiday breakfast. Really friendly staff, quick service. An amazing range of coffee, with wide range of breakfast/brunch options. The food was delicious and really well prepared and while not cheap was really good value.
The building itself has a cool industrial feel but really spacious and welcoming.
K. L.
I love this place , nice atmosphere , coffee is not just perfect. The best coffee ever . Lots of people here , maybe they love this place too.
B. R.
Truly the best coffee in London! I love this place not just for their brilliant hard hitting coffee, but the food is always so delicious and perfectly suited menus to the time of year. The staff are genuinely lovely and alwyas go above and beyond... Can't recommend more highly!
M. M.
Solid place, with some of the best coffee in the area. The food is not to be overlooked either.
P. W.
Love this place, I buy their beans to make my coffee at home, and grab a coffee sometimes and just watch the roaster going. The employees are really friendly and so passionate about coffee, and so happy to have a chat! You can tell this place takes care of its employees which I love and am super happy to support. Cheers Ozone!
g. l.
S. J.
The best lunch I’ve had in London for as long as I can remember. Delicious spring pea risotto with all manner of lovely touches. The side of mushrooms was exceptional. The coffee - a long black served RIGHT as a large espresso with a side of hot water - was beautiful; rich burnt toffee flavours giving way to a smooth, dark-chocolate-soft finish. Service was fantastic and the place itself has a great vibe. We arrived at 2pm so missed the lunchtime crazy rush - that’s a good time to rock up here. I can’t wait to come back.
j. k.
Very busy, lively atmosphere. Superb staff. Cool layout. PERFECT COFFEE!! Went there during a short trip to London and well, I'd relocate to the UK just for having that coffee in my life. :)
B. C.
Finally made it here for a coffee tasting and had dinner after. Both were amazing with Ester as out our teacher.
The food was fantastic. We had the fish of the day and the roast chicken with chips and roasted veg. All very very good and well priced.
R. M.
So far the best coffee I've had in London. Unlike (too) many trendy / hipster places in London this coffee shop does things properly. I recommend it to every proper coffee drinkers. You can also enjoy nice sweet pastry and buy coffee for home. The place can be a bit crowded, be patient it's worth it!
A. D.
Overall really good! We had the bread with nut butter and jam and it was SO good. The lattes were great, too. Only thing that we disliked was having to wait for a table outside in the cold for a good half an hour as they don't take bookings :(
M. W.
Absolutely delish! Amazing food made with fresh ingredients. Say at the bar and saw all veggies and food being cut and prepared in from of us. Coffee is roasted and brewed on site. We went for breakfast and this is a must!
A. R.
Great place to hangout! Their menu is quite good too - lots of options to choose from. Even their presentation is top notch. And can’t complain about their coffee! They use their own beans (one of the best)
Surely recommend this place if you’re around!
C. P.
I only had a poached egg on a rye bread and it was literally amazing!! So much taste!! Good vibe!
L.
We arrived with a couple of friends who recommended that place for brunch. Arrived at 10:00 on a Sunday morning. The service was excellent and the quality of the coffee was good. Brilliant atmosphere- very chic. We had scrambled eggs on a toast, Banana bread with PJ and minced beef on toast. Loved it. We will be back.
J. F.
I've been coming here for the past four years and I have to stay the quality of the coffee and food only improved. This is a great place for breakfast, brunch and lunch! Even if you're not a coffee drinker try out their hot chocolate (peppermint if I was you).
C. H.
Wonderful coffee and the food was excellent and great service
L. M.
Nice place for a food or just a coffee with table service. Despite the fact that the café was busy, the service was pretty quick, and I got a tap water even before I managed to sit down👍. Customers can see how they roasting their coffee downstairs. Tasty coffee and good selection of cakes. I haven't tried a food there but everything what I could see around me looked great. Be aware more than 2 people will probably need to wait to get a table.
A. S.
Wish I could give it 6.
Fantastic coffee- More on the bitter side but don't let that deter you if you like a smoother brew. The food is also great- fresh ingredients, perfectly balanced dishes, well executed. This place really nails the modern rustic atmosphere with Sunday slow jams playing lightly overhead the combination of brick, metal, wood and green. There's the right amount of cool without the overbearing pretentiousness. The staff are all lovely and the service and food was quick.
Definitely have a brunch here!
M. R.
A bit hard to find as it is located just off the main roads BUT
once you have been lucky, you'll love this place immediately.
Great atmosphere, great smell, friendly service - truly service with a smile and great coffees (or teas if you like)
Great coffee - roasted in-house
It is worth the wait..
M. B.
Really friendly staff, amazing coffee and tasty food. Lovely spot for a bite to eat or a quick coffee stop!
T. W.
Great breakfast menu with some creative dishes. Coffee was slightly on the lukewarm when I had it but good flavour and nicely roasted beans. We went just as the opened for service on Sat and soon the place was filling up. The bill was fairly quickly given to us after asking if we wanted more coffee and a payment method was asked. This is completely fine and common for a busy cafe at peak hour. I have worked in one before. However, the menu says it is a place to enjoy, make it your office, etc etc. There were individuals with laptops next to me and tables of four who didn't get the bill as we did. One should treat customers as the ethos says, all customers the same or just not write something warm and fuzzy but not consistently follow through. I am happy to go back anyway.
A. S.
The poached eggs on bubble and squeak was delicious however we also got the mushrooms on sourdough which was way too salty and had to be sent back and then came back rather bland. Coffee was quite good.
Probably the most notable thing about our visit was that our server and the other staff we interacted with weren't friendly, not unfriendly, but examples like she didn't greet us when she first came over, didn't smile and didn't say thank you or goodbye. They were friendly and got on quite well with each other so it seemed like they were kind of "too cool for school" and we got in the way of them hanging out at a hip coffee shop/restaurant.
I would probably return but not before considering at other options.
P. C.
Great place to meet up.expect tow ait at busy times. Perfect for coffee aficionados.
F. B. M.
Beautiful vibe and great coffee, good food and great team work
D. K.
ozone clearly put a lot of thought into their menus, their brunch options are far more inventive than the classic avo on toast ! decently priced food and consistent coffee - def a go to if you like a dark roast. love the ambience of the place - i always appreciate an open kitchen ! it does get busy quickly, especially during the weekends, so get there before half nine
L.
Best coffee in London! Had a great breakfast here too. Staff are excellent, atmosphere is relaxed, ideal for a quick or long visit for those who like to work on their laptops.
P. B.
Ozone is both a restaurant and a cafe. The specialty is that they roast their own coffee in the lower ground. So perfect to enjoy a coffee whilst watching the coffee being roasted. The ground level is a bit louder, so if you're looking for a quiet place, ask for a space downstairs.
A. P.
Good food, lovely chilli hot cocoa. Must try.

It's pretty hard to fault this place. Having heard only great things, I went along for an impromptu brunch on a Saturday afternoon. I took a seat along the breakfast bar which surrounds the chefs kitchen and perused the menu whilst watching them turn out one delicious looking plate after another.
The menu was very exciting and broke up the monotony of the usual brunch offerings. After much deliberation I went for the Braised mince and baked eggs. Other options are pretty much everything from Granola to any style of egg on Sourdough. My food was delicious and the portion size was very generous!
As for the coffee, my flat white was absolutely perfect. Enough said. I'll definitely be back

We enjoyed eating in this coffee shop. Very nice and tasty food. I was complaining about coffee. Yes, about coffee! Don't take me wrong coffee there is very tasty and excellent quality but I think the barista wasn't professional at all. Which was a big shame. I ordered three cappuccinos because I really wanted foam and I asked for foam. Unfortunately, it didn't happen! But a waitress spoke with me very nicely and I explained to her how the cappuccino should look plus she didn't charged us for the coffees. I can happily recommend this place and coffee as well ;-)
J. J.
My favourite cafe and coffee roaster in London. They rotate their menu frequently to reflect the seasons and their coffee is always top of the spectrum!
S. C.
Went for brunch: highly recommend it, but be prepared to queue! Didn't actually have the coffee, but the Russian Caravan tea and kedgeree was very good. Loved the open kitchen (it's actually in the middle of the room so everyone can see it, and I definitely got food envy looking at other orders! Desserts look lovely as well, but didn't try them.
R. G.
Excellent service and food. Coffee is sublime and matched in quality to superb evening nibbles. I thoroughly recommend the arancini - smoked carrot is mouthwatering (totally vegan and incredibly tasty).
Staff are exceptional: friendly, efficient with loads of personality.
Just around the corner from Old St tube.

Amazing friendly staff and all round good vibe. The hospital ward I work on has a few patients with a penchant for coffee. To give them a well deserved break from the hospital I approached Ozone to see if they could accommodate a group of us. the staff were so accommodating, the head coffee roaster even came over and gave us a quick intro into the process of making coffee.. from selecting the growers to roasting the bean. One of our party was visually impaired and so they provided beans to feel to give a sensory experience. So thoughtful and inclusive. We all had a great time - thank you Ozone! Lots of space for big groups. Great coffee.

Great coffee in an industrial chic space. I had the February Kenya Special which was served two ways: v60 hot and V60 cold brewed. As a coffee lover this was a great way to experience a coffee in different ways for direct comparison. I ended up preferring the hot brew as I thought it brought out more of the citrus and berry notes.
The food is solid. The cornbread with chili butter was mighty tasty. I liked the brunch cassoulet and the poached eggs on bubble and squeak cakes we're good as well but not as memorable as the coffee. Unfortunately our food didn't come out at the same time and my partner was almost finished with hers by the time I got my dish. The waitress was very apologetic and other than that service was great and friendly.
Would definitely return for the coffee and would eat if hungry, but wouldn't go out of my way for the food.
M. E. F.
Nice place to drink a cold brewed and eat something. Friendly staff.
J. L.
I recently moved to this area for work and my friend recommended this place for lunch. Such a wonderful restaurant! The decor is lovely with wooden finishes and cute milk bottles for water. The staff are really friendly and I got a seat by the window because it was sunny. My friend and I ordered the portobello mushroom on sourdough and I got a skinny late and apple walnut cake to go. All, incredible, mouth-watering choices!!
f. c.
I liked it here. Although, the coffee was just warm (Italian temperature) rather than hotter. The green tea I had was not really warm more cold and the flask it came in only half full. I think that could have been better. Additionally service charge is automatically added to your bill. Nice place though.
S. R.
Great coffee, friendly staff!
J. G.
Bought ground coffee in store for use at home and it was great, really nice coffee. Ordered the same blend again online this time, and thought I'd try a new blend, definitely glad I did.
M. F.
Super in love with their coffee. Always so fresh and delicious, served at reasonable prices with the best ambience and staff . The service is also really prompt and punctual. Highly recommended to all.
J. L.
Favourite place for brunch and great coffee in North London. Kiwi hospitality, perfect flat whites, great menu that keeps us coming back. Long brunch, two books, bag of beans to take home has become a big part of our Sunday ritual
I. S.
What an amazing place!
As soon as you walk inside and inhale this extraordinary aroma of coffee, it becomes very difficult to resist to have a cup of coffee in here. They roast and grind their coffee in the dedicated area downstairs… (it is also very interesting and educational to watch how they do it!) :)
There are a few tables upstairs and downstairs, however personally I prefer to sit at the counter, and watch the chefs at work. Whatever they make and put on the plate looks absolutely incredible, and makes me want to sample every dish from their menu. Their “Eggs Benedict” are to die for. Seriously good food in here and an amazing selection of coffees, some of which you cannot buy in the regular coffee shop. The staff is very friendly and the atmosphere is quite relaxed.
Their toilets are clean with a nice décor (I thought it was worth mentioning) ;)
One of my colleagues (who knows I appreciate a good cup of coffee) recommended to check this place out a few months ago, as I’ve never heard of it before even though I’ve been working around Old Street for over a year. The location is not so obvious, as it’s a little hidden away from the main busy City Road, however once you discover the whereabouts of this unique place, you just cannot stop coming back to it and introduce Ozone to others ;)
It is a little pricey, but don’t mind paying a little more for pure quality.
L. E.
One of my favorite cafés in London! Out of this world amazing coffee guaranteed, couldn't leave London without a visit to Ozone.
S. O.
Always good coffee and great food. One of the best in London for both, you can't go wrong.
E. E.
Really good brunch and coffee. Pricey but worth it. Very big menu, which is usually off putting, but everything we tried was excellent. One of the top brunches in London.
Edit: downgraded the rating because:
1. We came back another time and the food was not as good. Fries were overcooked. Mince was much smaller.
2. We came back a third time to get something to eat on Sunday and they said that the kitchen was closed from 4.30pm. They don't mention it on the website and they didn't answer the phone when I tried to call. Pretty annoying.
I. R.
Great ambience, this fairly large coffee shop has a great selection of specialty coffee brewed in a variety of methods.
Excellent choice for those early breakfast meetings, if you can secure a table! It's very popular with the entrepreneurship crowd.
A. Y.
Great place for brunch and a quality coffee if you’re in this part of London. There can be a bit of a wait but service is excellent - friendly and efficient. Food is fabulous and coffee excellent.
A. A.
Awesome interior - it's like you're in a chic warehouse with live coffee machines in the basement (you can smell the fresh beans if you walk down - this is also because their roasting machine is massive). The food is really tasty (mince on toast is a favourite) and the staff know their coffee - I asked for a recommendation and loved it. All in all, great vibes
E. C.
Chanced upon this coffee roaster when we were just exploring the area. Unassuming on the outside but you can see that it is filled with diners.
I had a flat white, and loved it.
Too full from breakfast to eat anything else, but the food does smell really good.
K. D.
We come here almost every week. The coffee is as good as you'll find in London, ranging from your standards to filters and rotating cold drip coffee with tasting notes. The food is just wonderful, I've tried a lot of the menu and have never been disappointed - you can easily eat each part of the big breakfast separately to avoid diluting the flavour of each part (I personally get a side of hollandaise) and the fancier dishes such as the haddock and shallots are so good it's hard to choose what to eat each time we come. Depending when you come there may be lines, but I can't recommend Ozone enough. Happy brunching!
S. R.
Packed to the gills at 11.30 when I popped in for brunch. Very eclectic menu and that's reflected in the price (£40 with a cake and coffee for 2) but the Eggs Benedict with belly bacon seemed to be popular and once I tasted the first forkful I knew why. Melted in the mouth and the sweet cakes were to die for. Warm and ambient atmosphere with waiting staff attentive but not intrusive. Two minutes walk from Old Street tube but beware there are stairs to the basement if you have problems with mobility or have a pram.
L. G.
4* because of the non booking on week ends
Otherwise it is really good and not so expensive ! Go downstairs if you want to be a bit more quiet :)
S. D.
I recently visited here for brunch and was very impressed by the quality of the food. I ordered a veggie brunch and can't fault the food. The eggs were poached perfectly and the sourdough was delicious, though I was a little sad at the absence of pancakes on the menu! The building itself is quite impressive and deceptively large. I love the wooden floorboards and exposed metal interior. Staff are friendly and efficient, though I was quite irritated that one of them took the time to point out the service charge on the bill as she handed me the debit card machine. I had included the charge in my portion of the bill and thought it was quite rude of her to bluntly demand that we include the discretionary service.
C. C.
Great coffee and actually the store smells like coffee haven.
Y. C.
Its hard to find a place that consistently serves good coffee and delicious food in a lovely relaxed interior. Ozone got it all! It's super busy and has long queues during the weekend so get there early before 11:30! But it's for sure worth the wait. I've tried their food and drinks menu multiple times and will be back again.
So far, they're the only place that I've found serving the syphon coffee in London. Its such an interesting brewing method and sad that most coffee shops don't offer this drink. I've tried their espresso based drinks and hand brews such as; v60, areopress and the syphon; every time its hitting the perfect tasting notes.
L. W.
Great, efficient, friendly service with an incredible twist on the classic eggs benedict. Couldn’t fault the food, coffee or the decor. Plenty of seating styles available for single diners, those that want a laptop friendly space and groups. Definitely worth a visit
A. P.
Ozone offers some of best coffee in the area. While busy and at times hectic the eating area is a combination of booths and seats by the bar. The food menu is hearty and tasty. The service is cool and efficient. One of the best spots in the area for a coffee, cake or a quick lunch.
R. D.
This Cafe is my favourite in London. It is consistently serving delicious food and very high quality coffee of all kinds (espresso, pour over, filter, etc). It's a no reserve system so get there before 10 on a weekend. If you are solo you will almost always immediately get a spot.
M. H.
Cool spot, good coffee and great staff, especially the chef 'Millsy'
J. L.
This is a lovely very modern coffee shop in the centre of Shoreditch, a couple of minutes walk from Old Street station. The atmosphere is very busy and lively. Coffee is delicious and the food they serve seems reasonably healthy. The service is fast and the staff friendly. An excellent alternative to the usual chains like Pret A Manger or those types of coffee shops.
M. P.
Great coffee! But its portion of Kenya hot brew was tiny though.
Pricy Egg Benedict was quite under my expectation and standard.
Guess its interior design and atmosphere is best factor.
Definitely not coming back for brunch!
B. Z.
Super slow to go service! Not work it! 2 people already waiting, the perosn takes our order and then goes makes it! Makes no sense to wait 10 min for a coffee to go!
L. S.
All time favorite weekend brunch in London. Full stop!
We have yet to find any place that would top it!
The menu changes with seasons and never disappoints, the service is always pleasant and efficient.
(There is generally a queue on the door over the weekend, but the hostesses are amazing at moving people ahead and giving good estimates of the wait, so it's not painful as it is in many other brunch places. Even at busy times we have rarely had to wait more than 10-15 min.)
D. R.
We booked for a family table of 8 and all had a great brunch. I am celiac and had poached eggs on g/f toast. The eggs were cooked perfectly and the toast was good service by Jennie was excellent, she was very attentive and helpful with my g/f requirements. We all enjoyed our meal.
K. P.
Ozone Coffee Roasters, Shoreditch was really good and also environment was really fine.
A. G.
Food is very nice, coffee is OK
I had a flat white, not as nice as some other places, a bit over roasted or scalded, but still nice. I need to try a Latte next time to comp-are as they generally suit my taste better.
The place itself looks great, lots of seating which mostly overlooks the kitchen so you can see the chefs hard at work, and a bit of exciting with the odd flambé
A great atmosphere, and quite a busy place. Staff are efficient and friendly.
C. H.
One of the best Coffee/Restaurant places in Old Street, Ozone is a personal favourite of mine. Whether it's the relaxed vibe and welcoming atmosphere, the friendly coffee expert staff or the delicious food on offer, it all makes me want to keep coming back.
They have great free wifi here, which along with the plenty of seats makes working here pleasant. The coffee is top quality here, and if you go downstairs (where you can also eat and drink) you can see them preparing their own beans which is pretty cool. Flat whites are to die for here!
R. R.
I went here for a takeaway coffee today. The coffee was amazing, probably the best I had in this area, but I needed to wait around 15min for it, which for me is way too long for a takeaway. Food is nice too.
The prices are reasonable for central London.
R. C.
My visit was short, only sat in for a tea with a friend, but we still found the place amazing. The staff is nice and helpful, the specialty teas are great, and being able to see the coffee roasting process downstairs is a nice extra.
M. K.
Great coffee, comfy space to hang out or work.
j. C.
Amazingly presented quality coffee. The laboratoric design of the cafe, people gather here, have the very coffee here, talk, discuss and eat and leave in the happiest mood with the very aftertaste of the coffee. most of them there are coffee lovers, so one round is not quite good enough, so two rounds are normal here. They've got alcoholic beverages but coffee shop has a good reason to be a coffee shop:) has downstairs as well, mostly used as seminar places i guess, toilets are downstairs as well, both male and female friendly, intelligently designed. foods here seemed nice but normally i was alone there, not a comfortable chance to have a meal, while others seemed to be enjoying them. nice music along with the very vibe they are representing. good management, but be careful when you are at the bar side near the sink especially with your laptop;) try ozone roasters with your beloved company. (visited earlier this year and last year as well)
B.
I have only purchased beans and coffee drinks for take-away here. First came while on vacation in xmas 2016 and have now been a few times. In my opinion they have consistently been the best cappuccino and beans in London. Certainly stands up to Blue Bottle in San Francisco. The beans are also of very high quality. Favorite beans of my wife who is more the "super taster".
J. P.
Every thing was nice!! Just enjoy!! haha!!
A. U.
Great vibe! Great drinks! Great service!
J. H.
Best coffee cafe I've been to in London. Good brunch options, well prepared food, A+ coffee. Fine for small groups (2–6). Arrive early, there might be a short wait at the door.
S. N.
Best place for coffee beans. Nice atmosphere
L. F. A.
I have been going to Ozone literally since day 1 and I am still one of the biggest fans of this cool and funky coffee shop. Not only they serve one of the best coffee in London but it's also a great place to have breakfast and lunch. I particularly like their baked eggs and the steak sandwich. Service in very warm and friendly. It's a shame it's not open in the evenings as I would love to go there for dinner too!
Z. F.
The coffee is amazing. So are the pastries/treats. I haven't yet had a meal here, although they look like they're probably delicious, too. The one downside is the service - the waitresses (and the hostess) seem like they actively don't want to be there helping you. Not great for a coffee shop...
e. t.
Nice brunch options. It's better you book a table or else the waiting is long. Very nice coffee - I had a flat white. I tried the mushroom with creme fraiche on toasted bread and poached egg which was very nicely cooked. Overall very good experience but it was a bit pricy and busy. Nice venue.
R. M.
I was pleasantly surprised when I opened the door to this unassuming cafe. It was enormous, warehouse, steel kind of feel and buzzing with creatives at 10am on a Friday morning. Free wifi, very important in my line of work. The service was friendly and the food was excellent. The open kitchen is the centre stage and nice to see our food being prepared. The coffee was okay. I wish it was a bit stronger. Great meeting place in Old Street. I am always on the look out for nice coffee and meeting places all over London. This one is very good indeed!
C. C.
Great coffee and the brunch choices were very interesting. A little for everyone including Gluten-free and vegans. I took the beetroot tortilla and it was an explosion of flavours. Great job!
D. M.
Great coffee, I think brunch is under seasoned and a bit expensive for what it is. Personally think Caravan is better for brunch options. But still an institution in London. Lovely staff and its busy for a reason.
F. K.
Been here a few times and the coffee is great. There's normally a queue for weekend brunch, but it doesn't take too long. Quality of brunch varies though. Loved my eggs benny the first time, but after that, it's never been the same quality. Service is slow. Be prepared to wait.
R. S.
Very busy and took a while to get seated but drinks and food were excellent.
W. F.
Modern, confident cafe which roasts its own coffee downstairs in a fantastic looking machine. Needless to say, coffee, via various methods using different blends and single origins, is spot on. Food is carefully considered, fresh and full of flavour. Lovely cakes too.
V. P.
We tried two dishes and they were both delicious. I had baked eggs with braised mince and cheese and my partner had a salmon salad with avocado and sesame seeds. Service was attentive and quick. We were sat downstairs where we saw the coffee beans in action. A great casual cafe.
L. C.
The pastries were spot on and coffee was just perfect.
Where do I begin? If you got a little bit of time to spend in the morning, come here for some really delightful breakfast. Everything from mains to bread and pastries are well worth it. Not to mention, the staff were just lovely!
This is a place to drop in for!
D. M.
This is my go-to easy brunch spot in London. It's usually easy to get a seat, and there's a nice energetic atmosphere. The eggs benedict on bubble and squeak, with pork belly, is my favourite. The porridge with blueberries, and the fruit toast with pumpkin jam is also good. Very good coffee.
T. C.
This Kiwi coffee house serves up a decent cup o'joe. The roaster downstairs fills the place with warmth and a strong coffee aroma. The majority of seating is built around a central kitchen hub and its cool to see the chefs cook up the grub. Can be a tad on the pricey side here so I wouldn't want to come here if I had a serious hole to fill.
C.
Great staff, seated quite quickly even though it was very busy. Food and coffee were of a good standard, would definitely go back. Only downside is I sat by the window on a bench with my laptop to get some work done but had to leave after a while as the seat wasn't that comfortable.
C. M.
The coffee and good and the food delicious, a step up from your average breakfast and brunch. I can definitely recommend the eggs Ben. - it’s a conservative serving but really delish and well balanced meal. Must order!
C. W.
Great cafe. Ideal for brunch with friends or having a working breakfast. Great eggs on toast, and amazing cheese scones. Some of the best coffee in London too.
M. M.
As a coffee lover, Ozone Coffee Roasters has been on my to-do list for a while. I finally decided to give it a go today at lunchtime for an espresso.
The interior really looks like a warehouse with the kitchen in full view at the centre of the room. I actually didn’t realise it was more like a restaurant rather than a coffee shop. It was quite busy, but the waitress at the entrance found a stool for me. Don’t go there if you’re looking for some peace and quiet, because it’s very noisy.
As it says on the tin, they actually roast their coffee on site (downstairs), and I could see the magic happening from where I was sitting. I had to wait about 10 minutes before being served.
The coffee was delicious, but not hot enough to my taste, and very expensive (£2.20 for a single espresso!).
I am not sure if I will go back.
H. J. S.
Ozone if a great place for weekend brunch or a midweek coffee if you work in the area. It has a fantastic vibe that makes you feel like you're not in London and the staff are really friendly and welcoming.
I recommend the Eggs Benedict (£9.90) which are served on bubble and squeak cakes and a seat at the kitchen bar where you can watch your meal being prepared.
Coffee aficionados will love this place where they roast beans on site and have numerous brewing methods available. Post brunch, pick something from their excellent home baking selection for an afternoon treat.
S. S.
The atmosphere and environment is very nice. Comfortable seating even on the high chairs by the bar. Interesting interior design and spacious. The coffee is good as well. Perfect for brunch or casual meet ups.
D. B.
This is for the coffee lovers. I tried their aero press, and v60 brews, and both their Ethiopian and Colombian beans respectively
Both brews were made perfectly and their coffee beans were well chosen.
I attended on a busy Sunday with my partner, and enjoyed sitting facing their open kitchen whereby you could watch talented chefs prepare enticing brunches.
I strongly encourage coffee enthusiasts to visit.
l. t.
I can imagine it is super busy here at weekends, but I went on a weekday and managed to sit for a good few hours with many mochas! Lovely staff and the food looked scrumptious. Big open space but I'd like a few squidgy sofas to laze on - I will definitely be back. Old St is fast becoming a mecca for good coffee houses!
S. P.
A great go-to place for a relaxed hangout, great coffee, and fine food. Service is attentive and facilities are really clean. The cuttlefish was overly greasy in parts but I would definitely try the rest of the menu, which is diverse and tempting.
R. B.
Ozone is in my top two favorite brunch locations in London; and has remained there even after trying many other spots.
I would highly recommend the baked eggs (I prefer it with baked beans) and a soft brew coffee. The cold drip is also by far the best coffee in London.
In addition to the food, a highlight remains the beautiful decor - perfect modern industrial style - and ability to look over at the coffee roasting in the basement below. A must try for coffee and brunch lovers!
J. C. T.
Ozone is one of my favourite places for brunch and coffee in London. They are roasters, so it's needless to say that the coffee never disappoints, but the same can be said about the food and friendly service. You can also request their small semi private room for meetings.
m. j.
Best coffee I’ve had for a long time. Nearly made the mistake of going to a coffee chain down the road. Breakfast was also delicious. Well worth a 5 minute wait for a seat or just a takeaway.
V. H.
Delicious coffee and food, fairly priced, definitely worth the wait.
I. L.
I've been going to Ozone for 4 years now. It's a reliable place to have a coffee and some brunch. The food quality has varied through the years, it is okay for the moment :)
M. W.
I do love this place. I spend way too much time here, but it is hard to stay away - great vibe, great coffee, great food, great staff.. and the vegan chocolate and avocado cake should seriously come with an addiction warning! As should the carrot cake for that matter. See you guys tomorrow.... again.
D. P.
Great coffee, delicious food and the hot chocolate is the best I've had anywhere. The Ozone coffee is roasted on premises downstairs. While you have your coffee and food you are surrounded by the delicious smell of roasting beans.
D. A.
Delicious coffee, delicious food, way beyond expectations.
J. K.
Possibly the best flat white I've had in London thanks to their delicious darker roast. The place itself has lovely decor, and a fantastic view of the machinery used to process beans. Highly recommend!
J. B.
Friendly staff, great atmosphere, coffee is too notch and the food is delicious (I had the Eggs Benedict with Halloumi). Well set up for Covid too.
N. A.
Love this place! I come here with my laptop to work sometimes and it's perfect - great atmosphere, staff are so friendly and attentive. And the vegan friendly options on the menu are SO good - highly recommend it :) Oh and the coffee is awesome, they even have oat milk!
M. D.
Brunch and coffee soo good!!
F. A.
Fantastic place with unique character, though some of the waiters are rushy on weekends. We barely stayed for 40 minutes and were asked if "we want another coffee" then the bill came without asking. It was rude however we will give it another shot again
B. R.
Though this place is usually busy but the Negroni cocktail here is one of the best cocktails I've ever had in my life. And if your're a hardcore coffee lover, you should definitely give a shot to their long black coffee. The aroma is so uplifting and relaxing and the flavor tends to stay in you mouth for a longer period of time. Aeropress is also another good coffee here. Spent 3 days in London this time, and went here 4 times during my stay. I'm lovin' it! Will surely come again!
M. F.
Yes, it's very trendy, yes I'm sure you could say pretentious or up it's own a***, but these people care about coffee and seem to get things pretty well right.
The latte was rich smooth and dark, and the 'couldn't resist' cookie was crumbly and tasty. You can sit in, or take away and although it's more expensive than the chains it's got to be done.
It's close to the Shoreditch Grind on City Road which creates all sorts of dilemmas, and leads to excessive caffeine consumption.
A. H.
I had just bought a coffee to go frome the station, once u had a little taste from it I automatically told my self.. This is terrible! Where could I go for a better coffee. Looking around I could see a little sign saying 'ozone' . I had heard of it before so thought why not give it a go. I was seated and asked what to have, I replied by "surprise me" . All I can say is that I was! This was probably the best coffee I have had in my lifetime. Great deco, Great Coffee, service is great too. The person who greeted me was a handsome fella with an accent and the lady who took my order chose well for me. Merci x.
C. S.
Triple A breakfast experience. Best Eggs Benedict and english breakfast I have ever had. Totally worth the wait!
The coffee is also delicious and they roast it here.
Y. Z.
Great coffee and food menu. No better place to enjoy a Sunday brunch, particularly on a cold rainy day - seating is indoors both upstairs and down. Caters to all with booths for small groups, long table for bigger ones and bar/window bench seats for couples and lone laptop and paper readers. The Benedict is a must try.
D. D.
Ozone Coffee Roasters is very understated from the street, but once inside you're greeted by a warm welcome. It's very busy during lunch times but if you get there a little ahead or prepared to wait for a late brunch, you won't be disappointed. There's a good choice of breakfast and lunch dishes, but I always head straight for 'The Eggs' menu for brunch, choosing my favourite Eggs Benedict. What makes Ozone's so good is that the eggs are served on bubble & squeak cakes which is an unexpected but delicious combination. The coffee is fantastic, and as it's roasted on site, has a freshness that's hard to beat. If you're on your own, sit at the counter and watch the food being prepared or near the coffee station so that you can witness the care that's put into its preparation.
5 February update: Eggs Benedict with undercooked eggs, bubble and squeak doesn't appear freshly made - look more like commercially made fishcakes - Hollandaise sauce too thick and slightly sour, minimum of bacon barely cooked and the coffee tasted burned. Massive disappointment, hope it's just an off day, esp as I recommend people to eat here!
H. M. A.
One of my favourite places for coffee in London. They do great breakfast/brunch or if you fancy something less substantial in the morning, head over to the counter for some nice pastries/cakes - I would recommend Lamington. :))
D. M.
Decent coffee and great brunch, well worth a visit if local
H. A. K. ح. آ. خ.
One of my favourite coffee spots in #London NZ roastery in Shoreditch founded by 3 friends, it was so cool to see the machines downstairs and the kitchen was in the centre of the upstairs, from the breakfast menu loved the pancakes 😍
P. L.
Fabulous coffee and cakes - highly recommended!
A. P.
Love this one! Nice environment and good food and coffee ☕️ 🍳
A. W.
Coffee is great, the decor is great. Have had great experiences with lunch previously however the new breakfast menu is trying a bit hard to be unique and different, and unfortunately the flavours just aren't working. Disappointed.
P. J.
Ozone roasts their own coffee in-house. Their coffee is sold city wide in various boutique coffee shops. It's owned by Kiwi's and they do seriously good coffee. The brunch is mega delicious, too. I highly recommend the bubble 'n' squeak with poached eggs.
A. P.
I've been going to Ozone religiously for the last ten years-ish and it's perfect every time. Food, coffee, service. Thank you for being the background to some of the best moments of my time in London!
E. F.
We liked this place. Arrived early to beat the queue, were there for a long time (baby to feed) but we didn't feel rushed. Food interesting and accurate. Only small black mark was it wasn't that hot when it came out to us, but they were super busy by then so I will forgive that.
W.
Consistently good place for breakfast. Their scrambled eggs on toast with pastrami cured salmon are my favorite dishes on the menu. Coffee is also very good. They have a hipster customer service.
T. T.
Nice hustling and bustling atmosphere and the amazing smell of freshly roasting coffee downstairs. Extensive menu both for food and drinks, but a bit unpleasant that they add 12.5% automatically to the bill...why not just add it to the prices? You can find Caffeine-magazine here, which is a plus.
R. C.
Nice atmosphere and layout with a mixture of tables, booths and stools at the bar. Can get very busy in the week when the service gets slower, particularly around lunchtime - not the best for a business meeting but good place to meet friends. Would recommend the eggs benedict.

One of my favourite places in the area for brunch. Lots of tempting flavours,
And combinations that are more than just your standard poached eggs and sides (all though the option is there if you want). Fresh roasted coffee! Try the chilli hot chocolate!

Good customer service, also fast service. The cafe is cool. You can see the roasting machine at the bottom when you enter.
However, it s not the best food you can taste in my opinion. I had the omelette with mushroom and chia pudding. The food was ok. I still think there are better coffeeshops around the area.

Good-quality coffee, interesting interior.

Ozone is in my top two favorite brunch locations in London; and has remained there even after trying many other spots. …

Great coffee, I think brunch is under seasoned and a bit expensive for what it is. Personally think Caravan is better for brunch options. But still an institution in London. Lovely staff and its busy for a reason.

I recently moved to this area for work and my friend recommended this place for lunch. Such a wonderful restaurant! The decor is lovely with wooden finishes and cute milk bottles for water. The staff are really friendly and I got a seat by …

Excellent service and food. Coffee is sublime and matched in quality to superb evening nibbles. I thoroughly recommend the arancini - smoked carrot is mouthwatering (totally vegan and incredibly tasty). …

This Kiwi coffee house serves up a decent cup o'joe. The roaster downstairs fills the place with warmth and a strong coffee aroma. The majority of seating is built around a central kitchen hub and its cool to see the chefs cook up the grub. …

I had just bought a coffee to go frome the station, once u had a little taste from it I automatically told my self.. This is terrible! Where could I go for a better coffee. Looking around I could see a little sign saying 'ozone' . I …

I can't fault Ozone. Their food is at a higher level than even some of the best cafes in town, and always great coffee of course. If you are here I would try some of the filter or the cold brew. The kedgeree is the best I've tasted too.

Ozone roasts their own coffee in-house. Their coffee is sold city wide in various boutique coffee shops. It's owned by Kiwi's and they do seriously good coffee. The brunch is mega delicious, too. I highly recommend the bubble 'n' squeak with poached eggs.

Ozone is the perfect place to go for breakfast, especially on my journey to work. The service is fast, and all staff are very friendly. Food-wise Ozone does not disappoint the presentation of the food, and the quality of the food itself is amazing! They also have an open kitchen which you are able to sit around and literally see your food being made from scratch.

Coffee is the best in London hands down. They can brew your coffee in every single way and if you wish to buy some fresh roasted beans they will assist you in the process. As their name says, they roast at the shop (you can actually go down and see those beautiful machines) so you can be sure that they have the freshest beens. They sell a ton of coffee so the stock rotation is really fast and in the worst case scenario you are buying coffee roasted up to 7 days ago.
Food is delicious too if you want to eat something freshly done for you. Is an open kitchen in the backpart of the café so you can see the chefs in action while you are sitting on the counter.
For me is the absolutely must go in Shoreditch if you want good food and good fresh roasted coffee. Proof of this is that the place is always full of pleople.

It was a sad day when this no longer became my morning coffee local. But I still have a lot of love for what the guys and girls at Ozone are doing.
Their coffee is probably in my top three of roasters in the country - high praise indeed. Even better is that it's made within the industrial, New York looking building they call their home just around the corner from Old Street tube.
This place can get busy, so if you're looking to eat here - which you should - try an early morning weekend trip or just after lunch on a week day. Honestly the breakfast selection is simple but inventive to keep it interesting & their selection of sandwiches and other lunch time picks are top notch without the pretension of some other coffee shops.

The greatest coffee roasters in London!
We buy their beans to enjoy at home, love having brunch at their restaurant and are Taranaki Hardcore for life!

The glowing reviews of this place are totally justified - it's pretty hard to fault the space, food or coffee at Ozone. I went on a Saturday afternoon and they were still serving breakfast, mainly eggs and things on sourdough. They have succumbed to the slightly hipster habit of serving things on boards instead of plates, but it's to be forgiven when the food is delicious and the portions are generous. The cafe itself is cosy, smells amazing and had a wonderful playlist on the go when I visited. Needless to say, the coffee was yummy. Looking forward to coming back when I'm in the area.

Ozone is devoted to making fantastic espressos and food, and they do so with a great deal of respect for the ingredients they use. In the first few seconds of entering the place, you can observe them roasting their own coffee in their basement (akin to a bar that is also a micro-brewery).
The single origin espresso I had was tangy, bold and beautiful. This place is arguably London's best coffee joint. Looking forward to when I return.

Always stop here to grab an espresso and some viennoiseries in the morning. All round good. coffee place. It's very busy and a bit noisy inside for eating for me. Staff are lovely.

Amazing breakfast & coffee place. I had breakfast here 3 days in a row during my last weekend stay in London. Try the different breakfast eggs and drink yourself through the different coffee roasts. Absolutely delicious.

Great espresso and really solid cold brew with cherry/ caramel milk. If you are coming from NZ and have been to the OG New Plymouth roaster this is kind of the opposite experience. Still great but not as relaxing!

Really nice place. I was meeting my pastor for a much needed catch up and they were able to give us a table on a quiet part. Amazing hot chocolate with a great staff!

Probably the best breakfast I’ve had in London (perhaps even out of too). See if you can sit at the “bar style” seats near the pass by the kitchen - you’ll get a live menu served up in front of you.

The food here is delicious, the coffee is amazing, the style is a really cool kind of wooden rustic feel - very chilled and quiet but with great friendly service. I'll definitely go here again, solid start to the day!

Nice environment, I love the almond blondie here, too bad they rarely have it

The most Shoreditch you can get in Shoreditch. Industrial setting, amazing coffee, crazy good brunch food, and lots of hipster-y people having conversations about their creative ideas.
In all seriousness, Ozone is a staple of Shoreditch, and is the place to go if you want to have a great coffee and a spot of brunch with a friend or colleague.
Brunch is amazing – the Eggs Benedict is amazing. Poached eggs on breadcrumbed balls of bubble and squeak. Optional with salmon or bacon. It's also really fun to see the food being prepared in front of you if get a bar seat.
Very busy in the morning and at lunch on week days – so be prepared to queue for a little if you're there at peak time.

Coffee was delicious! Cool place, limited menu. I got egg on toast, eggs slightly over cooked and under seasoned, toast was a bit burnt. Not going to rush back
