The apricot danish is what I went for but the cinnamon roll knocked me for six. The coffee is great and the staff are lovely too, but it's the pastries that I traveled there for and wasn't disappointed.

Great, relaxed place. Dog friendly and with a back garden. If you are an early bird, this is your place. Gently staff and very good looking pastries and sandwiches. The americano I took was rather smooth, which provided a good contrast with the delicious pastel de nata I took.

My husband and I love this place! Very friendly and (in our opinion) the best coffee in Crystal Palace. I’m not sure whether to share this for fear they’ll be sold out next time we visit, but their salted caramel brownies are divine! Also a very good fresh orange juice and high quality coffee beans to take away.

The selection is broad, and so a very friendly and helpful member of the team helped me by recommending a few options based on my preferred brewing method. I have been regularly visiting this cafe for the past few years. It is a really nice, relaxed cafe that does consistently good coffee. An ideal place to meet friends and family. I often take in my sister and nieces and they are always so accommodating of the children. But for me the best thing about the place is the chicken and avocado wrap, it is delicious and I recommend everyone gives it a try. The smoothies are excellent too. And they even sell excellent coffee. Definitely in my top 3 cafes in Crystal Palace.

Location is amazing but everything is avarage.. Bad coffee and also why don't you guys always toast the bread you serve? I mean if you don't buy a nice sordough bread AT LEAST always toast it. Not impressed.

I adore this cafe. If you really like coffee there is nowhere better. I have filter coffee which is hand made with a kind of watering can and fresh beans. Also gorgeous Portugueses custard tarts and fabulous wraps.

The are a lot of different places in Crystal Palace to buy and drink coffee so the competition is fierce. In my opinion, this is the best coffee that I have treated in the area although I haven't been to all of them. It's an independent too. They roast their own coffee here, which gives it something extra over all the others. The food consists of wraps, toasties, etc as well as very good cakes, scones and pastries.

Visited Roasted Bean on a busy Saturday morning. Whilst it's been open a while, this was our first time. A relaxed atmosphere and a great idea to have plenty of books available to keep the kids entertained. Service was good and the gluten free brownie was to die for. Definitely go there again

I buy coffee beans from here (as well as cups of coffee, they have and make good coffee). Yesterday my usual blend was not there, so I asked for a recommendation for something similar. A man dressed in a smart vest asked me some questions about my taste and ground 2 types of beans on the spot to give me an espresso sample so I can find my new blend. I got great service and not for the first time.

Honestly, cannot express how greatful i am to the owners of this cafe. I am a regular here, and i adore the iced filter coffee. Not only does this place offer amazing artisinal coffee, the owners also awknoledge their customers, and are friendly to them. That's what distinguishes it from all of the other coffee shops in Crystal palace.

I used to be a big fan of Roasted bean. I love the coffee still but the vibe from one of waitresses gave me today was awful. She was in a fitted casual stripe dress looked sedated and miserable. She has made me feel like im begging for a free coffee. Very unwelcoming and another people who joined me after felt the same. I guess its prob a thing that certain people think they r too good to work in hospitality. I wish that waitress all the best of luck and the employer sponsors her for a course so she can move out of hospitality field.

After bypassing Costa (my usual haunt) when wandering the area in my short visit from Edinburgh, I was pleased to find the inviting facade of the shop with a smiling face and local "community spirit" atmosphere. I ordered a cappuccino and the falafel and halloumi wrap. I'm not vegetarian but if I ate this every day I could be! If I'm back in the area again I'll be sure to visit.

What a cheery bolthole for 2 soggy friends who have just been turned away from Dalhousie! So welcoming, with great service, delicious food and warming beverages. Just like I said, Dalhousie's loss was the Roasted Bean's gain. Next time, I will try the tempting cakes.

I’m working in the area for the day and have been on the road for two hours in heavy traffic. This place is a god send, an oasis run by a beautiful angel named Antonia. Sand blasted oak floors, chilled music and a great selection of coffee for bean heads. There’s even a snug area to the rear for budding authors who like to blag free WiFi. Antonia has worked here for 2 1/2 years and runs the place with effortless style. And the sun has just started to shine - spring is here at last. Now all I have to do is find Gunner!
