Reviews of Store Street Espresso
N. H.
A great place for a good cup of coffee. It doesn’t look big but there is a lot of sitting area inside. I didn’t try the food so can’t give you any recommendations
D. S.
Third wave espresso near the British Museum. Look no further and come to Store Street. Coffee is delicious and seating inside and outside is very decent. They use mainly Square Mile Red Brick beans but often also a guest espresso from other European roasteries. The latter means there might always be a surprise to look forward to and in case the guest espresso is not your cup of tea then you have the solid Red Brick to count on. They also sell beans for filter and espresso and when you buy a bag you get a drink for free.
V. Y.
Cute little cafe behind the British museum.
Their coffee (flat white) was delicious and so was their chai latte.
We also had the banana cake (get it toasted!!) and the hazelnut brownie. Both were delicious, made for a very good afternoon treat. Both staff members were really sweet and friendly too.
K. H.
Great location right around the corner from the British Museum. Don't pass on the inside - it's an absolutely gorgeous interior. The skylight is incredible. Flat white was delicious!
R. B.
Excellent decaf coffee here. Food looked good as well. Bigger inside that it might look and a few small tables outside.
S. D.
Come here if you want one of the best cappuccinos in London. These guys know their coffee. If you're eating I couldn't recommend the avocado toast with a lemongrass tea. All absolutely gorgeous
S. O.
Store Street Espresso definitely has some of the best coffee in the area and is whole leagues above all those chain cafés like Pret, Starbucks and so on. The flat white is just so smooth and there is no bad aftertaste which is something you defo get from bad coffees.
Its just a tad too pricey for what they give you.
J. L.
Interesting, hip place, but still gentle enough to enjoy your coffee. I was happily surprised to enjoy a nice latte (soft, not punchy) while listening to Leonard Cohen or The Cure in the background. The white interior is very luminous, with local art hanging on thr walls. Very well located close to University of London and the British Museum
C. K.
This place is amazing, the coffee is great, the pastries are delicious (a little too delicious….) and the staff are really friendly. A great spot right in the centre of town.
H. F.
Hipster vibe, good cakes, fresh mint tea and my wife’s flat white was apparently v good. Surprisingly big so always plenty of seats, although upstairs benefits from high ceilings and lots of natural light.
D. C.
They had minimalistic decor, indoor plants hanging and rustic table spaces for customers. Love their choice of drinks and goodies. Great music playing in the background.. Beatles, Elton... Very relaxed... you never feel rushed. Polite and friendly staff! I had the matcha latte and my friend had coffee. both well done.
A. H.
Cute coffee shop tucked away on Store st, right by the LSHTM campus. Definitely try out their kimchi toastie, it is delicious!
A. P.
Lovely coffee and people - great snacks and enjoyable conversation with David and Peter. Very friendly. A good start to the morning ... @storestreetespresso
A. H.
Nice coffee, reasonable food. A lovely bright setting inside, with art exhibitions adorning the walls. Lovely as a place to enjoy a drink.
As a work space, they turn off their wifi (I was told by a fellow customer that it is off 11am-4pm), & have very limited charging points for laptops & other tech. This would be more palatable if this was clearly signed near the counter.
C. B.
Easily my favorite cafe in London. Come for the quality tea, stay for the local artist collections, delicious vegetarian food, and genuinely friendly staff (I was treated to a hearty complementary salad as a thank you for being a regular). Perfect for catching up with friends, serious study sessions, and leisurely afternoons of reading and people watching pleasures.
S.
The scent of coffee bean which I smelt when I order was really unforgettable! The iced latte was literally perfect. Iced mocha was unsweetened but deep flavor. I will definitely come again soon.
M. P.
Very good coffee and delicious food. Got there just as the lunch time rush was abating. The place can get full because it is so good.
F. C. M.
Brilliant coffee - excellent foaming for my latte and superb espresso. Staff are friendly and the place has a nice feel to it, with both indoor and outdoor seating.
L. S.
Beautiful store graced with local artists' works across the store. Cortado was delicious courtesy of Redbrick Coffee. Avocado toast was sprinkled with roasted sprouts and hot chili powder which gave it an earthy roasted linger in the mouth.
S. N.
Nice little coffee shop. Limited selection of breakfast options but the ones we tried (pancakes & poached eggs, salmon and avocado on toast) were good. Good coffee.
A.
I had bad mood today but this coffee shop turn it around with nice atmosphere. Very cosy and warm feeling.
I got a wrong order but the barista made the new one for me. So kind of him!!
C. K.
The coffee here is amazing and deep, not extremely dark. The raspberry almond bar is moist and not overly sweet. The atmosphere of the place is calm and comforting. The windows let in a lot of light and there are a lot of plants and artworks within the café. A perfect place to read and get some work done.
B. B.
The place is really cozy, the coffee is great and they have several options for breakfast and a quick bite.
But... Why do you do that to the avocado toast? Pickled cucumber, sprout beans and a crazy ammount of chili flakes !
I don’t think that’s something that anyone is expecting from such a dish... I would at least tell people in advance that the avocado toast is spicy and comes with pickled vegetables...
Anyway, as I said, that’s the only “bad” thing about the place :)
Л. В.
Unique carrot cake, nice oat latte.
C. S.
Pricey coffee but very good! Had an orange almond cake which was delicious and of great texture! Not much seats in the cafe but it was a great choice for a meet up.
S. K.
Needed a fast coffee after a meeting. Great filter and pastel de nata. Nice staff also!
A. J.
The coffee is well roasted and the milk is served and the appropriate temperature. One of the West ends most consistent flat whites. The sandwiches always have great flavor but I was disappointed with the Goat’s Cheese sandwich this time round. Rather than putting whole carrots and parsnips in the sndwhcih perhaps cutting them batonnet will allow the sand which to maintain consistency as unfortunately it fell apart. This will also allow the Focaccia to hold better, and allow for a more even spread of ingredients. The focaccia had great texture but was lacking in salt.
N.
Excellent cup of coffee, one of the best in the area. Food is okay, ambience is fine
C. v. T.
Simply amazing coffee. Took a latte with oat milk and it’s simply well made. It’s quite crowded inside and maybe a bit cramped, but the seat at the window that I had was just amazing. First coffee stop this time in London and already hard to beat!
O. K.
Fantastic cold brew. One of the best I've had!
❗️Updated review❗️: Came back 3 years later, still amazing coffee, great pastries!
A. C.
Nice cafe with friendly staffs. Matcha latte was okay but little dissapointing. Matcha cookie was nice. My Italian friends fancy this place so coffee here should be really good.
D. A.
Not sure what I'd do without Store Street Espresso. They've been fuelling our workdays for years. The coffee, the staff, and their little custard tarts are always fantastic. Best coffee shop for miles.
M. S.
Lovely place, friendly staff. As a third wave pour-over lover I was surprised at how good the batch filter coffee was. Also the Espresso was a Perfect fruity delight!
m.
They make good damn looking drinks. I wish I'd had a coffee because beautiful as it is the hot chocolate wasn't chocolate my enough; too frothy for me. Also 2 drinks came to £7?!? I hate London. But its a beautiful space nice to meet a friend....No WiFi until 4pm(?) or maybe it wasn't working that day.
Y. M.
It was very bright and beautiful, in its service and setting. Amazing exhibit - Primary Colours Portraits - to arrest your eyes, whilst you're sipping a pretty coffee or a machiata and having a relaxing chat with my friends.
T. W.
Just lovely....the vibes, coffee and food. Worth a visit!
S. B.
One of the best coffe shops i ever visited! The atmosphere is great, the lightung in there also. I had the ham bagel and the mustard in it cleaned my respiratory sistem! Very tasty.
J. B.
This has always been one of my favourite coffee shops in London, but I don’t get to visit as often as I would like.
They serve expertly made coffee and have the best brand of oat milk for us vegans/dairy intolerant folk, and great food options available.
R. K. (.
Store Street Espresso is one of many good cafes in this neighborhood. It may not be top of my list but as it has a nice layout and design, plenty of seating, free wifi (although there is a sign that there is no wifi between 11-16, was however on and working fine past two times i was there during that time) and good coffee so it is a definite option for a good cup of coffee. They mainly use Square Mile Coffee which is normally a good sign of quality. The place does have a hipster vibe but it does not really bother me as long as the coffee is good and the service is fast and friendly and Store Street ticks those boxes.
I have had very good hand brewed coffees here and the flat white has been good as well. They also serve some basic cafe food. The main drawbacks is that the place has been freezing cold when I have been here during winter time. It is however otherwise a good place for coffee.
H. G.
Lovely coffee and nice vibe especially when not too crowded
P. H.
Hands down the best espesso and flat white in the area. Made with care, attention and great beans. So many coffee shops get this so badly wrong. Store St Espresso never dissapoints!
b. k.
Store street espresso had been my go to place around UCL.
They serve predictably good square mile's red brick, usually pulled at a slightly longer ratio which might not be to everyone's taste. Usually there is a very nice guest variety as well, so do ask the barista for those.
Tbh, everything I say is just a minor nit pick to a great shop at a very convenient location.
A. O.
Extremely polite staff, incredible coffee, shame about the wifi being so weak, wobbly tables too
E. L.
Had a delicious "Kimcheese" toastie here the other day. The staff were really helpful and taking lots of care with all the COVID measures. Extra thanks to them for filling my water bottle up with icy water on the hottest day of the year! 10/10 recommend this wonderful place!
L. C. M. L.
One of my favourite coffee shops in London. Great coffee and I love their banana bread (get it toasted!).
M. I.
Chill and warm atmosphere. Very fast service, which was good because I was in a hurry. Food and drink was great and there was a large selection of cakes, cookies, and brownies. I had a chicken bagel and their special iced tea.
O. M.
Fantastic coffee - much from Volcano's Assembly line. Really great filter which I was lucky to catch the last drop. Also had a generous slice of banana bread -which was tasty. Espresso was excellent as well.
Staff were super friendly and helpful not to mention efficient.
This place is Def worth a visit but watch out - no wi-fi between 11am-4pm....Must be a story about this but didn't get to find out what this time!
R. M.
Really cool cafe, great seating, very easy to have a personal chat without having to shout.
P. S.
Cute, local coffee shop with a relaxing, chill vibe to catch up with friends or get some work done. The banana bread (my go-to pastry) was clutch with the taste of real bananas.
G. D.
Great breakfast before an exam. Lucky place, I passed

Great coffee and service located on a quiet street off Goodge st., great decor inside.
W. A.
Nice place near the British museum and coffee must try but the reason I gave 4 stars because the slow service . I finished my coffee and the avocado toast not yet ready
a. r.
Really great, consistent coffee and lovely atmosphere

Good coffee. I need to return to finish and try the food. Worth visiting and perfect for the British Museum.

Very well executed - good texture. Flavour was ok.

Batch-brew filter coffee is consistently great here. Just had a really unusual and delicious Chinese natural process cup (by Square Mile), full of green tea and jasmine at first and then with apple acidity and vinous flavours as it cooled. Really good! The staff are friendly and passionate about what they do. Really the only place to go in Bloomsbury for good coffee. Adding downstairs seating has made a big difference as well.
W. A.

J. U.
Great independent coffee shop. Good coffee (supplied by Square Mile), well made. Lovely light space, and lots of it - has an upstairs and downstairs. Plants add to the nice airy ambience. Toasted cheese sandwich is a bargain for £3!
One Star deducted as the wifi was not working reliably on the day I visited, surprising given there were only 4 customers using it. If you're going to offer wifi, it should be up to the job (not hard to achieve in 2020!). As it is I can't see myself working here too often
P. H.
Love the filter coffee and the ambience
D. C.
I love the mocha and matcha cookie that they make! The cookie is so soft, that it melts in your mouth. Very nice spot to have either a date or maybe catch up with friends. The staff has always been friendly and helpful whenever I visited this cafe. Also has the tap water which you can always come up and get easily a glass of.
C. B.
I like the coffee here. The place is nice, light and airy. The coffee is good and the granola is nice as well. They don’t seem to have any ability to cook a ham and cheese croissant through so it’s actually hot in the middle (have had many of these) otherwise all is good! I will try the cakes next!
D. W.
Slight air raid bunker vibe, but great coffee and seems to employ attractive young Antipodeans. Food is ok.
M. J.
In an area that is overwhelmed with coffee shops, make this one the one you visit. Great coffee, good selection of scrumptious treats, why not bring your laptop and work too? You’ll have a great day here.
J. H.
Good coffee. I need to return to finish and try the food. Worth visiting and perfect for the British Museum.
J. T.
Coffee was good. The vegan wrap was wonderful too - highly recommended!
L. C.
best long black in town. pretty good breakfast goodies too
L. M.
Food, drinks and service are great. The music is too loud and makes it hard to have a decent chat over coffee.
J. K.
Nice cute coffee shop. The coffee was good and it's on a calmer street so sitting outside was very pleasent
a. r.
Really great, consistent coffee and lovely atmosphere
K. K.
Very nice place. The staff were really friendly and the coffee was really good. Doesn’t look like much space, but there’s more seating downstairs. Can get a bit crowded as it’s a great place to just sit and talk or for people to work away on business or school. Plenty of outlets along the walls to charge up devices, but the WiFi can be a little dodgy. I just use my hotspot.
M. S. L.
Had a lovely chat with one of their Baristas yesterday. Such a lovely experience. Friendly staff with great knowledge and the highest quality coffee in beautiful store street. Highly recommended.
E. M. R.
When they have them, the Anzac biscuits at Store At Espresso are really good - they are similar to the proper Country Women's Association recipe. The coffee is really good, and the staff are friendly. The WiFi is turned off over lunchtime. There is a small but good selection of food - I'm not sure I'd go here for lunch, but it is a perfect spot for an afternoon coffee!
W. W.
Got a piccolo and was fantastic! Great little space!!!!
H. E.
I love this little place. Excellent coffee, good choice for lacto-free folk and a lovely atmosphere. My partner and I had most of our early dates here so I always associate it with falling in love!
C. O.
Lovely interior with pleasant background music. I ordered the iced latte, which turned out to be a good choice as it was really stuffy inside. The coffee itself had a nice twang to it although it isn't the best I've had. The staff are reasonably attentive but they could be friendlier. I would recommend this place for a short catch-up session but nothing too long as there aren't many seats available.
B. C.
Fabulous coffee shop. I love how simple and yet stylish the decor is. The staff is friendly and polite, they make you enjoy your stay. The espresso is amazing as well as the mozzarella sandwich and the muffins. The outdoor part of the shop is perfect to go with friends in the sunny days and enjoy the espresso. I like the fact that there's a lunch menu too, which doesn't seem to be to expensive. In overall its a great place to spend some free time and enjoy a hot cup of high quality coffee.
M. B.
Perfect little spot. Coffee's really good! The brownie was amazing! The staff was super friendly! Totally recommend! They have more seating downstairs, but the space there is dark and feels cold and impersonal.
A. S.
My new favourite café in London - chilled vibe and amazing cakes! The chai latte was fabulous, the service was friendly and fast. It's a bright and creative space, with enough room that you feel like you have your own space to work in.
S. V.
Great coffee and service located on a quiet street off Goodge st., great decor inside.
P. J.
Lovely coffee and nice pastries and sweet treats. Their green matcha tea cookie half dipped in white chocolate somehow managed to be dry, crumbly and delicious at the same time. Seating is basic and the toilet is not available until January.
T. D.
Great coffee ☕️ Smiling faces 😊
R. A.
Nice little cafe with good selection of cakes and pastries . I had banana bread and lattee and they were excellent! Staff are very friendly. Arts on the walls and the place is just cozy to relax and read or work on your laptop. Definitely will come again !
S. W.
I'm always trying to support small businesses but a coffee shop that, depending on the day, either only accepts cash or charges extra for payment by card is a complete joke. Do yourself a favour and grab a coffee at Gail's around the corner. Way cheaper and much nicer coffee. A pity, I really wanted to like Store Street Espresso...
UPDATE - my review was written a couple of years back and they changed their policy and payment options recently. I still prefer Gail's coffee but to be fair, Store Street Espresso is a really nice place.
C. F.
Excellent coffee (the guest filter is always a hit, and the flat white is equally as good). You can't beat their sandwiches or better still. the sandwiches. Staff are incredibly friendly and despite looking like the clichéd hipsters you tend to find in these kind of establishments, are thankfully great!
m. t.
good coffee and fresh Guardian every day. Good vibes and nice atmosphere. The only problem for me is that the WiFi drops signal after a short period and I left being unable to reconnect. Everything else is great.
J. B.
Fantastic third wave coffee place. Always get something when I'm round this way and have found the cakes good too. Only negatives are it can get hot and busy and several times toilet has been out of use for customers.
n. p.
Lovely shop, friendly staff and top quality coffee. Finding Store Street Espresso was a fluke after a failed visit to the British Museum (tickets only event - we didn't have tickets). I cannot stress enough how good the coffee is, I had a double espresso that had an intense and salted flavour - exactly what I would describe as a perfect espresso. Compliments to the barista.
E. C. W.
Decent cute coffee shop. Good for a quick stop and catch up with friends. Probably not for those who wants to work on their laptops or devices for longer hours as there's no outlets/sockets here.
R. P.
Best coffee in the area (and certainly competing for most delicious flat-white in central london). Food isn't too bad, atmosphere appropriately academic.
UPDATE: Nov '18
Coffee still amazing and although now less geared towards lengthy study stays - plug sockets no longer accessible, limited WiFi hours and you'll be asked to use a larger table if working. Lovely staff.
S. L.
One of my favourite coffee spots. Really peaceful despite being right in the centre of town. Great coffee, try their teas too. The matcha cookie is 👌Good spot to read, catch up on work, meet with a friend.
L. L.
Nicely decorated and very bright coffee shop. Nice selection of food. However the espressos are a bit acidic tasting but all in all a nice place to sit and read.
P. K.
Really great coffee - amazing selection from knowledgeable staff (yes, they are all very trendy and are in to their coffee). It's always busy and I think that reflects the quality of the coffee and baked goods (which can be on the expensive side). Try it's sister coffee shop around the corner, Continental store on Tavistock Place too for a less busy experience.
J. E.
Best cappuccino I have had in London so far, good and strong, hot, but not too hot, thick foam and they don't put sprinkles on it. Waiter came with my coffee and spilt it when he put it down, without saying a word he just took it back and got the barista to make another.
J. J. S.
Very good espresso and filter coffee from Square Mile beans. The fresh mozzarella and pesto sandwich was great as well as the chocolate muffin. The decor is sparse, white walls, wood and bare metal and the outdoor seating is perfect for sunny days.
E. B.
I'm in love with their avocado toast. 😋Coffee is also good but not one of my best.
E. L.
Friendly staff, great tasting coffee and you goto try the matcha cookie 😝
M. M.
Large space for working, but was unable to locate WiFi. Also found portions to be rather small compared to other shops which isn't reflected in the prices. Location is convenient to universities.
A. M.
I go to store street espresso often. It‘s an awesome place to chill out and relax.
The coffee is brilliant, and the service is fast and exciting. The team is a mixture of Australians and english guys and girls. They are full of energy and have a great passion for coffee.
The sandwiches and cakes are yummy. Get in early to ensure they don‘t sell out.
This is REAL coffee. A must go!
C. T.
The area doesn't have too many of these sort of spots. Store Street Coffee feels like a hidden away gem. This end of the street is lovely, filled with lots of small little shops and this long, thing coffee shop has a tranquil vibe and is lovely and beautiful in an airy, laid back way inside. It's also stocked full of delicious-looking brownies. Never hurts.
J. P.
Espresso did not taste nice, wish it was served with a glass of water. and Music was too loud to have a normal conversation, despite having asked politely for it to be turned down a bit. Lovely interior hence the three stars.
A. G.
Delectable matcha, very friendly staff, lovely interior with pop up art mini-gallery - highly recommend!
C. W.
I walk past this shop twice a week, and unless I'm running late, always pop in for a quick cup. Actually, sometimes I try to be a bit early so I have time to sit and relax at one of the (seldom free) tables. I had my first flat white here and have yet to find a better one, and find the service impeccable. The staff is friendly and knowledgeable, and more than willing to help you find your new favorite caffeine fix.
T. T.
Attentive service, nice and light sitting area. Coffee comes from Square Mile, and the baristas are very professional. Some sweets and light food available. Busy during lunch time, coffee is 20p cheaper if you do takeaway (not very ecological). Quite noisy space.
L. M.
Nice coffee, helpful and friendly staff. I really reconned to try their "Guinness cake"... so good 😍. The café has a day light because of a big roof window, which I really like. This place is definitely on my list of places which I want to visit again.
N. F.
A place I visit daily before I start my day. Even if its not on my way out in the mornings, I try to make it so. Love the service and makes me feel like a regular. Kudos to Chris, head barrista, who always recommends me new blends, beans and anything coffee. Let's not forget the environment. Students, creative types all huddle over the tables and gives it a vibe I won't trade anything for.
And of course, excellent coffees pulled. My fav independent cafe in London.
D. L.
The perfect way to start the day with a lovely latte, before heading into work or tackling the hordes of tourists in central London
R. C.
Open, airy & modern atmosphere with helpful staff, a pleasant spot to sit & escape the hustle of city life. Good coffee (as expected), and very tasty veggie sandwich that was surprisingly filling.
R. P.
Very well executed - good texture. Flavour was ok.
p. c.
Try the Friand its soooooo yummy 😋
D. M.
Busy, but for a good reason.
Coffee is good, and the relaxed feel of the place is nice. It's much more minimal and pleasant that Costa or Starbucks.
I'm always tempted by the food, but their coffee choices are why I keep coming back.
L. D. S.
The three or four times I've been here, something has always gone wrong e.g. run out of coffee, coffee machine broken, mixed up my order. On the plus side the food and atmosphere is nice. However, it's probably not worth paying 3 pounds for a coffee when the service is so poor.
P. N.
Generally excellent coffee, but the last three times I have been the filter coffee has not been working - very disappointing as I don't rate the Americano nearly as high as the filter. Also surprising that their Wi-Fi is turned off between 11 and 4.
S. D.
Despite academia requiring frequent enormous coffees, there have never been many great cafes tucked away in this part of Bloomsbury - until now. Gorgeously designed space - perfect for relaxing - that dishes up strong coffees, delicious flaky pastries and the odd sarnie.
M. D.
Nice indie coffee house. Decent range of teas too.
The food looks good here, though I try any yet.
Shabby chic decor makes it feel quite homely.
M. S.
Skylight makes the cafe feel warm and airy. Matcha cookie is crumbly and tasty. A good place to work, read a book or catch up with friends. There's no WiFi from 12 to 4pm.
A. M.
Great coffee, with the normal cafe food options. Good for working on a laptop or a business meeting. Only downside is no power points. I would come back.
J. P.
Perfect coffee, friendly staff, grad student clientele.
D. L.
Came here on a sunny but chilly Saturday afternoon. Miraculously, there were quite a few empty tables so we decided to have lunch here, which consisted of two delicious flat whites and one of the best ham and cheese sandwiches we'd ever had the good fortune to taste. The staff were quite nice too - at least the two males were, not the female who managed to hit me in the back on two separate occasions with a chair while moving furniture and didn't apologise at all - (which is why I'm removing one star) - taking the time to talk us through the menu. What I really liked about this place were the skylight (great on a sunny day), the bookshelf and newspapers (so you're not short on reading material) and the music (great indie). Easily one of the best places to while away an hour or two when in central London.
M. S.
Carefully made espresso drinks with smooth taste and texture. Lots of adequate seating including some lovely space in front of the window. Cozy atmosphere with friendly service. ;)
S. F.
Sandwich and muffins were tasty, coffee was served fresh and still hot, great texture. Service was excellent.
S. S.
I come here if I want an oat flat white and a lemon polenta cake, because these are the best (especially the cake!!!). Their americano and filter is too acid and watery for me, and an avocado toast is the worst I ever tried :( Still recovering from all that spice that was covering the bread with a thin avocado spread on top...
D. S. (.
Good coffee. Only have soy and sometimes oat milk as alternative in late/capuccinos. Would be 5 stars if they had almond(or coconut). Propper barista coffee. Not boiling hot like they do in pret/nero and such.
D. G.
Store St Espresso is really nice for an afternoon coffee, the place is often quite busy as students, entrepreneurs and other academics meet there for a coffee and cakes. The service is great and the whole staff is really friendly!
C. R.
What a place for coffee! This place can get rather busy and I know why: great staff and coffee! Lattes and cappuccinos are some of the best I've had in London. Nice place to study as well.
A. E.
Cool, small, oasis off Tottenham Court Road. One of the best cortados I’ve had; absolutely delicious toast and what looked like home made peanut butter. Calm decor. Really pleased to have discovered it.
T. H.
Small coffeeshop with a friendly inviting interior. Definitely a hipster hideout well suited for working and/or studying. Flat white and homemade muffin (which is what I had) were delicious and promptly served.
E. M.
Consistently great coffee. Bright with skylight, and usually a quiet place to enjoy your coffee. Note that they switch off their wifi for lunchtime and early afternoon.
D. R.
Best coffee in the area, nice seating space with natural light and plants, chorizo sandwich is yum
K. M.
My favourite coffee place in London and it's right near my work! Amazing and consistent coffee and really nice staff.
A. C.
If you like a more fruitier flavoured coffee, this is the place. The interior is neutral, warm and light. There is no wifi between 11am - 4pm, which is a good thing.
A.
Consistently great coffee, the Barista's here are amazing. Great atmosphere, it's just a real pity I'm not close by, as I would be a regular.
Thank You!!!
j. b.
Bare-boned basics and 'flatpack' bum-numbing seating belies the efficient, friendly service and the robust, flavoursome coffee served here.
Notwithstanding the limited food options on offer, it's their coffee mastery that makes 'Store' noteworthy. Staff efficient and effective.
J. S.
A non-franchise coffee place with great coffee and good food to snack on. Prices are reasonable for where it's located and staff are very friendly. Gets a little crowded nowadays, but it's in a great location where I can still get what I want and move off to the British Museum or any number of green spaces nearby to enjoy.
B. e.
Very lovely coffee shop! I love the matcha cookie. It has very unusual taste but I like it a lot.
S. -.
Lovely coffee in this off-the-beaten track coffee spot in Bloomsbury. Flapjack was not quite up to my *exacting* standards, but i'll forgive them. Seating area is light & spacious
N. H.
Ridiculously tasty coffee. Thought I'd try the americano black cus it smelt so good in there and I wasn't disappointed. Goats cheese and pepper sandwich was also killer. A hidden gem for pure taste.
B. R.
Laid back and minimalist, this is hot coffee in a friendly location. You'll find the usual mix of Macbook-wielding designers settled in and shoppers grabbing a quick caffeine fix. You won't be rushed out the door, so take your time, sip your Americano and watch the world go by.
D. B.
Delicious baked goods, proper coffee, friendly service, and relaxing environment inside and out. My favourite stop while in the area.
J. Z.
I love the coffee and the atmosphere here. Seems like a lot of other people do too... since it's almost always very busy. Nonetheless, I find myself stopping by here every so often.
Z. P.
One of the best mochas I've had in London came from this understated coffee bar... The coffee was smooth and chocolatey, the staff friendly and welcoming even though it was near closing and I found a small origami dinosaur on my table...
s. c.
Very good coffee ☕ and tea. Excellent breakfasts. Friendly staff and chilled vibe
A. S.
Awesome coffee, awesome cakes, great staff, easy to social distance. 10/10
M. H.
Good quality coffee in a relaxed atmosphere. Plenty of seats and free WiFi makes it a good spot to also spend a bit longer time.
G. C.
Great coffee - if you order avocado toast however, you will get pumpernickel unless you ask for something else - that wasn't the best surprise.
S. W.
Fantastic coffee and lunch food offer. This place is a great example of London's independent coffee shops. The staff were very friendly as well.
P. T.
The coffee is fantastic! Stark and minimalist deco, the skylights are a huge plus. Staff is friendly and knows what's they're doing.
K. K.
My company used store street espresso to host one of our talks. It's a brilliant venue, and I specifically want to thank Bella from store street espresso for all of her help!
G. D.
Great breakfast before an exam. Lucky place, I passed
E. C.
Great coffee in a charming place, perfectly located.
R. N.
Nice place. A bit warm inside and limited seating outside. Espresso was good but could have been a shorter pull.
D. C.
Great coffee. Their baristas know how to make coffee drinks properly and put a really nice flourish on top. Minimalist decor.
E. M.
Busy cafe with fast, friendly service. They sell delicious ANZAC cookies here, which if I was being pedantic, are biscuits 😉.
S. P.
Great cold brew coffee, served in "beer bottle". Art displayed throughout the place. Benched seating. Friendly and helpful staff.
R. H.
Delicious coffee and cakes with a good selection of options including various alternative milks. The service is ridiculously slow though!
S. B.
Nice and friendly staff.
Nice coffee, nice place for a breather.
Enjoyable, as you'd expect
J. K. (.
Good coffee but pastry was disappointing
e.
Good coffee, nice atmosphere. But the staff are a little rude and snobby. Wifi is hit and miss.
A. H.
One of best coffees I've had in London. It's a surprisingly spacious, quiet and very comfortable place with really friendly staff.
M. M.
Great coffee, surprisingly bright inside from all the skylights. Great for meeting friends.
M.
Nice little cafe for coffee lovers, they know their stuff here. Perfect for a late lunch sandwich and Flat White.
M. L.

A very hipster coffee shop. Naturally not for me, but the food is good and the coffee is great. Pretty small coffee shop with a nice atmosphere.
L. C.
My favourite coffee in London. I've ont eaten here, but it always looks tasty
E. C.
Great coffee, great location. Light and airy space with tasty looking snacks if you're feeling naughty
J. E.
Store Street espresso has everything a coffee shop needs, great atmosphere, great food, excellent coffe, interesting guest espresso blends as well as friendly and knowledgeable staff that don't suffer from the "too cool for school" attitude found in some other independent coffee shops.
P. P.
My favourite place for coffee! However it is always packed with people. Usually the best time to go is around 2.
W. P.
Fantastic coffee and reasonable prize. Lovely place, friendly staff.
K. G.
Not sure what I did to offend but the guy who served me was not only unfriendly, he appeared to actively hate my guts. Pointed out that their listing says they're closed on Sundays (they're not) and nobody cared.
S. P.
Lovely, bright cafe with lots of natural light. Great coffee.
D. T.
Good quality coffee and tea selection, good atmosphere, and nice people. Only minus is that they don't serve sweets or cookies to accompany the coffee.
P. B.
Hit and miss. Coffee served way too hot at times. Annoyingly charge you extra if pay with card if under £5. It's a coffee shop where most items under that!
J. B.
Quaint little coffee bar with superbly strong coffee, ideal for the coffee lover. The sandwiches were delicious as well.
B. H.
A bit pricy, but best coffee in London. Nice atmosphere and friendly staff, highly recommended
D. P.
Coffee was good as was the brownie. Prices are a bit steep, especially considering there are a lot of other options around.
E. J.
Really nice place, cool decor and relaxed atmosphere. Great place to chill, meet a friend or do some work with good coffee.
S. P.
Excellent coffee. You can get some really good Portuguese custard tarts and matcha cookies.
A. G.
Best black tea, best brownie and best leak and potato soup i have ever tasted in my life and great atmosphere with very friendly staff
C. A.
Can always expect a good flat white here. The wifi connection is always temperamental, and probably should be fixed if they intend to offer it to customers.
R. M.
The best coffee in London and one of the nicest decor I have ever seen in a similar setting.
M. H.
Very nice coffee, boring inside - little bit too Denmark canteen style for my liking.
I.
Great coffee, delicious carrot cake but the staff is not very friendly.
D. A.
Fantastic tasting coffee and good vibes when sitting in, staff are always pleasant, this has been the only shop I visit for coffee now for 2 years
a. v. d. e.
Light-filled hip coffee shop on a lovely tree-lined street in Bloomsbury. The fudge brownies are amazing.

Excellent coffee and sandwiches but a bit over priced to be honest. I'd still come back - I just hope that 3/5 will make it cheaper :)
M. P.
Bright space, lovely food and if you are not a coffee drinker, they've got nice loose teas and matcha lattes.
C. P.
Super espresso and great food. Very generous portions of cake! Try the carrot cake...
A. B.
Good coffee, seating in the window is fun to sit in and watch people go by. Can get really busy.
