Jam seems to be sold at the shop on the ground floor. If you want to take scones home as a souvenir, we recommend buying the Raspberry & Vanilla here. Unlike Strawberry Jam & Pepper, you won't find it anywhere else. The clotted cream was delicious. The guidebook said that they would serve it warm, but that is not the case. Absolutely wonderful experience. Took a little bit to find because Google Maps and the London Pass Map were being a pain, but when we finally found it we were able to relax in the Tranquil atmosphere and enjoy our very first Afternoon Tea. My Fiance was not a huge fan of tea until we came here and now he's addicted to English Breakfast (which is what we drank while we were here). They had a delicious Gluten Free option for Lunch; a Red Pepper Hummus Wrap that I could have easily devoured all day long. And for Dessert they had a Gluten Free Brownie! Be still my beating heart, it was the best Brownie I was ever able to eat without dying, and for two people it was a very reasonable price. Thank you Tea and Tattle for the Marvelous Experience. Quaint little place with posters of the old Chinese and British. Thoroughly enjoyed the hospitality. We went right when they open at 10:30am to avoid the crowd as the reviews here shown that the wait time is long during the actually “afternoon tea” time. With less crowds, we are able to enjoy our tea/coffee and snacks up till noon. Definitely a must-visit if you’re looking for an English afternoon tea experience that won’t break the bank. :)

A Canadian on holiday in London, I was looking for an authentic British afternoon tea, and found The Tea & Tattle online. The cafe is in the basement of a bookshop, a bit of a hole in the wall, but with nice little accents like old-fashioned leather chairs and an eclectic assortment of lamps. Once the food arrived, however, any doubts I might have had vanished. Everything was absolutely delicious, from the variety of sandwiches to the scones (complete with jam and clotted cream) to the cakes. I'm a bit on the fussy side, but there was nothing I tried that wasn't wonderful. The meal wasn't cheap (few in London are), but you get what you pay for; the quality of the food was top-notch. When in London again I will definitely be coming back!

I just love this place, it's nice and cozy and not too crowded even if it's in front of the British. The choices of tea and food are just great. It's the perfect afternoon tea choice.

I heard about they are focus on oriental books and I always want to come over and have a look.
