Great breakfast and brunch place in the heart of Islington. The menu is not extensive but the food is really tasty. They also have lovely fresh squeezed juices which is rare to find in London. The shop looks small at the entrance but there is a big room in the back with tables. Staff is really friendly and they usually have spaces for walk-in. No need to book.

An incredibly friendly cafe with a great vibe, whether you are sitting in or out. The healthy menu is modest but the choices are wonderful. The Turkish Eggs are a must, plus their lovely rich, strong coffee - all served by super-friendly and helpful staff. Strongly recommended if you are passing by.

That was my first time, was recommended by my partner, unfortunately the cappuccino wasn't done properly, but they managed to make another one that was better, also the cake that we ordered was a bit dry. The atmosphere was good, the staffs was friendly at the beginning but not that friendly after I told about my cappuccino. Anyway not that bad...5/10.

Gotta say this is the best coffee in Islington. Worked locally for 20years so have tasted them all and this is the best. The staff are super friendly too, Martina, Mihaim and Jacob always start my day off with a smile. Can't recommend highly enough

Amazing place, really good coffee. Unfortunately it’s very cold in the cafe due to a lack of heaters. 5 stars if they add a heater. Update: changed to 5 stars now that they’ve added a heater :)

Lots of bright space inside. The menu is mainly variations on eggs/avocado on toast and pastries. The smashed avocado comes with feta which is a great combination. Refreshing juices.

Bijou establishment with a contemporary interior and outside pavement seating serves a robust and aromatic coffee that’s beyond reproach. A small sweep of pastries and lite-bites conform to rather than challenge expectations. This be no criticism. The service is prompt and pleasant. Prices reasonable. Perhaps not memorable but comfortably holds its ground on a road bristling with competition.

Best coffee on that part of Upper street. They are our local coffee shop and we could not ask for more! Great coffee, best service, they are our best friends basically! and you get a free coffee every 5 or 6, it makes us a free coffee every weekend :)

HIGHLY RECOMMEND. Pleasant and quaint coffee shop a stroll from highbury islington station. Food and drinks were exceptional for the price and the customer service from the staff left us feeling very welcomed and at home whilst having a smile and the crack too lighten your mood. 5/5 definitely worth a visit

I have been coming to urban social cafe in Islington since March 2020 and have found the staff (in particular Emily) as incredibly friendly and efficient. She is always smiling and is polite, the food and drinks are great and the service is even better. It had got me through my long days at work, very grateful to the staff for staying open during Covid, would not have survived as well without it!!

Quality has recently improved dramatically. They've been using square mile coffee for a while but it's never usually been done as well as Maison D'etre round the corner, and though they've had assembly filters there's Vagabond just a short walk away with some of the best filter in London... we work on upper street and would always walk all the way round! The new team here though make it so well even with the current beans, and they're apparently hard at work on a new range to improve it even more! We can't wait. Mel

we had a poor experience with the food on Sunday, it was a busy day, although staff were doing their best to keep up with the rush my avocado toast was blank and didn't taste fresh even covered with a huge amount of chillies. it took long to come only to find it was missing add ons we paid for. my husband's pancake was ready only after I finished my food and we had to go. So it's a great place for a quick coffee which is always good and the barista lifts your mood with jokes etc. but food has space to improve. They give free "Babyccinos" to kids which is a nice touch our toddler was happy.
