I really wanted to love this place but unfortunately having to share a table with 4 other people made me feel uncomfortable and we quickly wanted to eat and get out. I understand this place is new and very busy and everyone wants to try it but having had to sit with others during "covid" shouldn't be a thing. However, The service was great, the hash was brilliant and coffee was very nice. The berry pancakes were massive but pretty dry, as there wasn't enough topping.

Superb service, even better food. Very busy (queue outside - and I can see why now I've been), but staff very helpful, all happy and smiling. Very accomadting. Wait time was less then we were told, which was great. Drinks and food served quickly, hot and delicious. We had steak and eggs, and Biscoff pancakes (pancakes were huge). Highly recommend! 😍🥞

First visit - been wanting to visit since Redemption opened and it was definitely worth it. Greeted with a genuine friendly welcome and smile from the staff. The food was amazing and so was the coffee. Lovely buzz about the place. Only problem is now I’ve been once I’ll be tempted there every day.

Visited here on their open day and I was lucky enough to get a table. The coffee and pastries here are lovely and would highly recommend. Can't comment on the other food but the food that was being served whilst I was there, looked delicious. All staff members here were friendly and polite. I had the redemption breakfast. Perfectly seasoned. I can't believe a small town has a hidden gem like this. It's you can't compare it too your normal greasy spoon. It's restaurant quality food for breakfast and dinner. Can't wait to come back and eat here again.

Cafes typically serve really good food or really good coffee, rarely both, and this place strikes the perfect combination. Try out their manual pourover if you want to try a really great filter coffee!

We visited on a Wednesday hoping it would be abit quieter however it was still really busy. The food was really good, we had chorizo hash and Turkish eggs. Beautifully presented and eggs were cooked perfectly. Also the drinks were great aswell, we had hot chocolate and iced matcha. We also purchased some bakery items such as vegan brownie, kinder bueano crossaint and Nutella muffin. I wouldn't recommend the bakary items I'm afraid, they were very dry and not flavourful. For the price of them too your better going to lidl bakery. Overall it's a lovely place however just super busy and is quite small for the demand of people. Staff could be a little more attentive also.

Went for breakfast at Redemption Coffee this morning at around 10:15 - even at this time it was busy…but after being there I understand why! The staff are all lovely and sorted us out very quickly, the food was delicious and came promptly (the pancakes where some of the nicest I’d had…although next time I might get a kids portion). This is exactly the type of establishment the area needs, an amazing addition and I will certainly be returning. The only thing I would mention is they only take card for payment - which I don’t think is an issue and is actually my preference. Great place, would definitely recommend!

Absolutely love this place. The staff are so so so lovely! Went for brunch and had some lovely pancakes! The only downside to the brunch was that there was a good few wasps flying around which made for a bit of an uncomfortable brunch as we were constantly trying to swat them away! Other than this, we had an absolutely lovely time!

I've only just started going here (I don't like coffee) but it's brilliant for breakfasts, snacks, teas (currently no peppermint but that's on the way), and cakes. Oh, and coffee. Very good vegetarian and vegan choices (Turkish eggs and Scrambled Tofu have been my first two meals: both very filling, lovely tasting, and beautifully presented.) The young staff are great and attentive, and the barista really has a great way with coffee art!

Second time visiting here today. Got there a bit earlier as it's always busy, but worth the wait. Lovely as always. Last time I had the Breakfast pancakes and it was huge, but delicious. This time I went for the redemption Breakfast with extra beans. Their beans are homemade and beat Heinz anyday!!! The mocha frappe is a must!!! My friend had the dirty chai, which was so good. Staff are lovely and so helpful. A lovely place to chill when suffering the effects of the night before!!!

Just what the locality needed, a nice coffee shop that doesn't just churn out production line food. Was busy when we visited but the staff were handling the situation well, greeting people as they came in and sorting tables, managing people and spaces well. Had coffee and cake, coffee was superb, Pastel de Nata was almost the best I've had and the blondie was brilliant stodge (yes, it's a compliment). The tables are well spaced and the general ambience is contemporary and pleasingly dark. I'm looking forward to a return for a meal soon. How about a late night opening? Be nice to be able to have a coffee of an evening instead of just having to choose a pub. To the reviewers who have given 2 and 3 star reviews for the step at the entrance and having to share a table (if the COVID situation bothers you so much that sharing a table makes you uncomfortable then walk away, don't leave a review and come back when it's quieter), you need to take a step away from reviews until you can be nicer.

This cafe has the potential to be the 'it place' in Astley. The food and the drinks are amazing. It has proper northern quarter city centre vibes. It felt more like a dash to eat and get you out of there more than sit and chill and take your time. I raised this with management via Fbook who didn't seem to genuinely understand what I was saying and reassure me that it was okay to take your time whilst there.

The hot chocolate was honestly one of the best hot chocolates I've ever had at any coffee shop, and the range of coffees on offer is great. I went for the veggie breakfast which tasted fantastic, especially the sweet potato rosti, and was really filling. Great value. The pancakes with chocolate looked amazing, but then everything looked great. Matt is really friendly and a great host, and all the staff are brilliant and helpful. Dog friendly if you're out on a walk, and the gold cutlery is an extra little fun bonus!! I'd give this 6 stars if I could! 😊 Definitely be back soon.

Having been previously and really enjoyed my food and coffee, I popped in whilst passing to pick up a latte and pistachio croissant and set off for work. Drank my coffee in the car and saved my croissant for when I reached work. When finally tucking in, I found it was so stale, I assume it was left over from the previous day as it was the only one left and I visited early (not long after opening so should be at their freshest). Not really on when paying £3 for it, won't be rushing back. Surely after being sat on the counter all day they shouldn't be sold the following day or at least mark them down and state they are a day old, so people have the choice to buy or not.

I have been here 3 times , it is always so busy , which is fine .The staff are lovely, dealing with the queue efficiently .The coffee is gorgeous, but so far , I’ve been so disappointed with the cakes . I have tried 2 cinnamon swirls , each time , they were solid , obviously stale .The staff offered to change them …for another stale cake . I know when a pastry is old !!!! . Not good enough when one cake is over £2.00 .Today I had a Portuguese custard tart , to let my elderly father try it with me . I couldn’t even cut it , it was obviously old . The pastry was filo , I think , and totally solid and inedible. I don’t know who supplies these cakes but I think Redemption need to review their suppliers…..surely we have local bakers who could bake fresh , delicious cakes …..

A breath of fresh air! We went to redemption today for brunch. There was a small queue outside waiting but we were seated within 5 minutes. On entering we were met with a lively, clean and well thought out interior! We were able to order very quickly and the our coffees were at the table nearly before we were! The food came shortly after and was delicious. My friend is a vegetarian and can struggle with choice sometimes but she had lots to choose from and finally decided on the vegetarian breakfast which looked amazing! I went for the chicken Caesar flatbread which was so tasty! The food was fresh, quick, hot and reasonable priced! The staff were friendly, efficient and most importantly very passionate. It was clear that the people that own and run this cafe have a real love for what they do and execute it perfectly! During our time we were asked if we would mind sharing our large table with another couple who were waiting outside. We had no problem with this and it was actually lovely to see people excited and out and about. 5 stars from us and we will definitely be back! Thank you Redemption! Finally a decent cup of coffee, wonderful grub and vibrant atmosphere just around the corner! ☕️ ⭐️😍 Same time next week!

This isn't the typical greasy spoon cafe with cheap bacon and sausage piled high; this is quality ingredients well thought out and cooked well. This place is packed all the time, and it's easy to see why. Tyldesley was missing a good coffee shop, and this fills that spot and more. It's definitely worth a visit, and I'll be back.

Perfect place for breakfast, lunch or even somewhere in the middle Brunch. The food there is always amazing and the coffee is the best in the area. The French toast is always light and fluffy as are the pancakes. Always served with plenty of maple syrup. It’s a little pricey but it’s definitely worth it.
