Very enjoyable and beautiful spot for breakfast.
High quality of food, let down by plates not being very hot and food going cold quickly when outdoors.
Staff very friendly.

We had been given an afternoon tea for two as a Christmas present. Booked yesterday and went down this afternoon. Amazing. Everything was perfect. Sandwiches, flans and cakes first class and as much tea as you wanted. Staff were lovely and we had a great time. Highly recommend.
D. R.
Pro
Not a bad small place to go for a day out. Staff were very friendly and helpful.
Con
Seems a bit pricey in the shops but that is normal sadly.
We bought some meat from the butchery to cook the next day. sadly it was no good for human consumption when opened. Looked good on the top but sadly was not on the under side.
F. S.
Great place for kids, loads for younger kids to do. Tea room was lovely, indoor play was great. Staff were really pleasant and helpful.
M. “. F.
Pleasant cafe and adjoining the fun farm, and farm shop. Garden centre very limited. Free parking for visitors.
J. H.
Nice little stop off...farm shop and destination for cuppa, maybe even spot of lunch. Decent menu, canny food reasonably priced. Will return. Animals added attraction for young and old alike. I'd love to see geese in pond too.
E. R.
Thank you for our beautiful Christmas Tree! We had a lovely walk, mince pies and hot chocolates and coffees and picked our tree. We think it is the best 🎄
C. W. P.
A hidden gem. Great for light lunch after walk or cycle. Lovely selection of homemade soups, sandwiches and cakes. Farm shop has range of meats, pickles, wines and ice cream. Really pleasant outside seating with animals including pigs, alpacas, geese and deer.
J. K.
Lovely place. Nice, friendly staff. Even gave the dog a treat. Excellent food and drinks
L. B.
Loved it my 18 month little boy Loved it too, especially the Donkeys. All animals where friendly and well looked after.
M. W.
We were here for a birthday party and it was brilliant! Highly recommended, we will be back. So much for kids to do in all weathers.
M. S.
We had a fabulous day food was amazing to our grandchildren loved and loved feeding the animals
T. G.
My daughter loves coming to Daniels! Lovely walk around with the animals then into the tea room for a lovely cuppa and a slice of cake!
v. h.
We had the afternoon tea, It was beautiful. The presentations was lovely with the matching tea sets and the lovely novelty milk urn and the food was more than we could eat (we took the last of the cake home 😊). They had a lovely variety of sandwiches, scones and cakes and free refills on your tea and coffee. We also tried there flower tea, and although I'm not a big fan of green teas I really enjoyed it. The staff were friendly and helpful. Highly recommend.
B. T.
Love this place...great food and coffee...sat outside with the dog and she got a lovely treat 😊
M. M.
Yummy ice-cream treat enjoyed here, we can't wait to visit again when we can get up close to the animals and play in the new park.
N. S.
We took the children to the farm, spent about 3 hours there, looking at the animals, playing on the bouncy castles and the indoor softplay. The food in the farm cafe isn't the best, sandwiches had ran out and my little boy had peppers in his tuna mayo sandwich and would refuse to eat it (a note on the packet would have been useful). The main cafe looked much better. Still someway to go to bring up to other play farms in the area, but a great start and asset to the area.
L. O.
Brilliant family day out !!!!
H. G.
My opinion has changed and so must my review. I posted a 5 star review in the summertime, but I have changed it to three stars. We used to go here for all or most of our meat, and the Christmas hamper that they made for us this time last year was brilliant. However, the butcher has changed, and now the standard and quality of the service and meat has dropped. It really is a shame as we loved going here and supporting a local business. Won't be going here again.
D. M.
Great service, lovely location, good food. Went there in the lunch hour and it did get busy, not many places free in the cafe.
A. S.
lovely food and ice-cream. Well organised for social distancing.
J. M.
It's a nice little farm with some good activities for the the little ones. £9 for the little man is about right but I believe charging the same for both adults is naughty.
My little man enjoyed himself for an hour and a half but pound for pound we have definitely visited better venues of the same ilk.
A. K.
Fantastic day out with the kids, staff were really friendly even spoke with the farmer who was only too willing to talk to us and answer our questions about the animals. You get a lot for your money from a wide range of different animals to giant sand pit with diggers to a soft play indoors and bouncy castle and play area outside you can stay all day.kids loved the fact they could play then go back and see the animals as often as they wanted while we were there. Cafe prices were really cheap compared to other places we have visited and the icecream was amazing. Will be returning soon to see the meerkats when they arrive.
S. C.
Only attended to see the Shires but called into the farm shop. Very nicely stocked and butcher very friendly and cut our joint into smaller pieces to freeze. Tea shop looks really nice and was very popular.
F. G.
First time visiting, food was tasty, service excellent, we will definitely be back
s. w.
Hopefully as this is new it will get better as it's so local to us id like it to succeed but they will have to take on board the reviews. Priced same
as other farms in the region with half the animal and facilities The food in the soft play area was overpriced too. Sorry but wouldn't go back unless it was half the price
V. M.
Very pleasant place to visit , great coffee and lots of parking space.
J. K.
Always a fine choice of cakes and scones. Good coffee and fresh produce. Shop along side with fine meat.
Butcher still selling first class meat, cut to order. Excellent.
P. H.
Another good meal at Daniel Farm, the ham sandwich was one of the best I have ever had!
S. G.
Nice place, lots of animals and lovely tea room with homemade cakes and pies. Has a fun farm for kids but we didn't go in so can't comment on that.
J. T.
Excellent food and very friendly staff also dog friendly. 🐕🍰🥪👍
F. P.
We visited on the 26/8/21 with our little boy for his birthday, overall the farm is great for being on the door step but definitely overpriced, adults paying £9 each ( same as an over 2years price ) is alot of money. We have visited every farm in the North East as our little boy loves animals, this was the only one we hadn't visited ( with it being new) so thought we would give it ago, but there are definitely much better farms around for the same price. The cafe well not really sure what to say about that, not much choice and the sandwiches weren't great definitely not fresh as the salad inside was completely soggy, panini was £4.25 and just came in a brown bag, not very big either, you pay this price for one in other farms or soft plays or even cafes but get it on a plate with usually a side dressing of salad or coleslaw, so just be warned if your expecting something fancy haha. The cafe is way overpriced also for what it actually is. Bit disappointing. The soft play is very small and if your child is over 145cm then they are to tall to use the equipment, play park was ok. Bouncy castles a great hit, the sandpit a nightmare as it stains everything as its more like builders sand rather than play sand, but definitely a big hit, so wear old clothes. We loved the animals, and the two young lads outside maintaing the bouncy castles and outdoor areas were really lovely, the male at the sign in desk and in the cafe lovely to, so great staff ( the ones we met) Overall my little boy had a lovely day and thats definitely all that counts. Bit of a mixed one on this occasion and not sure if we will hurry back.
A. S.
Lovely outdoor seating and very good filter coffee. Glad the opening days have been extended. Perfectly situated for a welcome break on a long walk.
E. N.
Very nice food staff nice and friendly
N. C.
What a lovely place this is. Really nice food and really nice staff, we went late in the day but the service was still great. Highly recommended!
G. A.
First time visiting here. Nice coffee shop, a little disappointed with choice of hot food on menu and no scones left, we were there not long after half 12! Food we had was nice and coffee shop itself was pleasant, cleaned regularly as per covid guidelines.
L. C.
Staff very friendly and welcoming, small farm and play area compared to others we have visited so hopefully they plan to add more. It was very quiet the day we came, could be weather related or people not aware it is even there??
D. B.
Absolute gem of a place. Beautiful little cafe doing home cooked meals at great prices. Cakes are gorgeous. The farm shop can't do enough to help bought a loin of pork which the butcher cut up to my specification and re-wrapped them so I could freeze them. Best pork loin a I have had. Will definitely going back to get some more of their produce.
C. S.
Very regular customer here. The coffee shop is great - always get the tuna melt because it’s lush! Coffee is great too. Love the butchers too as it’s very good quality and really reasonably priced. The new garden centre is great too and again the prices are extremely reasonable!
G. K.
Really lovely place for a cuppa and cake. All the staff we met were so friendly, service was prompt even though they were busy. The food we had was baked fresh that day. The choice of local meat in the farm shop was extensive and compared very favourably on price with the supermarkets. Can't wait to go back. Dogs are welcome to sit by the outside tables.
M. A.
Nice place, but I had expected more from the menu. Some more hot options would've been nice and no scones just after midday, seems like bad planning. I would go back though.
J. G.
Absolutely brilliant day kids loved it x
C. W.
Excellent place for all ages and very dog friendly. The food is fresh and locally sourced. Home cooked cakes and tray bakes, brilliant for those with a sweet tooth. The Afternoon Teas very enjoyable, but you need to book in advance.
S. K.
15 people having a cream tea for birthdays missed and to come
p. l.
Fab for families of all ages especially primary school age. Cute tea room, farm shop and garden centre. More play area's planned
S. H.
Had a fabulous few hours here with my granddaughter. Great place, clean and tidy, staff all super friendly will be back very soon!
S. E.
Lovely food and hospitality. Outside seating could do with some wheelchair friendly tables for inclusiveness when in a group.
C. P.
The grilled bacon, brie and cranberry panini was absolutely beautiful ❤️ lovely cup of tea to wash it down, very good service, quick and efficient.
B. B.
There's a few parts to the Daniel: the cafe/eatery, butchers/deli and the animals. The meal I've had was decent quality and the coffees are fine. I've bought a little from the butchers counter and this was again decent quality. There's limited access to the animals, a few hours at the w/end I belive. It's well worth a look and a welcome addition to the area.
J. R.
Well laid out, not busy which was good, spent 3 hours there but could have done longer. Staff were great too.
H. R.
We have been a few times. Food has always been to a high standard and served quickly, even when they have been busy. Would recommend the freshly made scones and the mocha I had was one of the best I have ever tasted.
S. M.
A lovely cosy sofa in front of a stove for cool days and picnic tables on the sunny patio for warm days...coupled with the most delicious cake and coffee, then a browse through the farm shop before going outside to admire the llamas, alpacas, ponies, pigs and ducks. Great for kids large and small!
M. B. (. b.
Absolutely fab place, great little garden centre, lovely cafe and the farmer/owner really friendly, i wish you well for the future under these uncertain times, thank you for a lovely visit, the red deer were amazing to see
J. H.
A beautiful cafe and fantastic helpful staff. Both food and beverages are very good and well priced.
We went around 2pm and were unable to get close the the animals which they explained were only before 1pm which is understandable. Over all we love Daniel's farm.
L. H.
Nice friendly place, the food was fine if a little unimaginative. Cakes and puds were very good. Unfortunately the farm area was closed when we went so the kids couldn't see the animals. Might be worth checking before you go.
A. “. M.
While it always seems busy the food is fantastic and the service is very friendly. The farm shop has a great selection of fresh produce. My daughter loves seeing all the animals in the fields.
S. T.
Well worth a visit, mine was just a quick latte, but the farm shop also offers a great range of quality meats and other such produce especially on the run up to xmas. Latte was excellent by the way and surroundings very comfortable.
N. T.
Lovely place had a panini with side salad. Service was good. Enjoyed it. A bit noisy as its quite big place. But nice atmosphere.
M. R.
Good breakfast and great deli! How cooked meals and fairly priced.
C. R.
Lovely lunch today with friends. Fab food and very reasonable prices. Also got tempted by the butcher counter and local brewed ales. Will definitely be back
B. F.
We have visited here a few times now and it is amazing, we tried to book Sunday lunch yesterday but it was fully booked 😔, to be honest we were not surprised and realise we should have been more organised and booked a week ahead.
Food, staff and the venue are amazing I have recommended this place to so many people 😁
M. C.
Reasonable prices. Warm place to eat. Omelette is choose own fillings and was stuffed with good quality filling; Delicious. Parking free.
P. G.
Italian plater for two, highly recommended. It was full of customers just generally chatting with one another, so it was a shame about the noise from them and then the staff clearing the tables echoing around eating area. Reminded me off a school canteen.
g. o.
Very different but very nice indeed!
Staff very good food marvellous.
Heating not working but the warmth of the place made up for it.
Would definately return asap.
J. M.

Love this place. We've been here a few times now and we've never been disappointed. The food, deserts, butchers and groceries are all top notch.
M. A.
Really nice tea room, Farm shop and garden centre. Lots of animals to look at outside, including pigs, geese, alpacas, donkeys and sheep. So, good for kids.
G. H.
I had a large slice of chocolate and banana cake which was delicious, with a pot of tea, which was a bigger pot than you get at other tea shops. We'll worth a visit.
A. S.
Lovely farm shop and a pleasant walk down Sled Lane to get there. Friendly staff and fast service. Food is high quality.

Lovely staff. Great food. Super farm shop and the outside with the animal's appeals to all age's.
A. E.
Very friendly. Lovely cakes and scones and very nice coffee. Really enjoyed my trip here.
S. R.
Pretty overpriced and staff need to be specifically reminded about daily specials or soup and sandwich offers... Far to quick to add it your bill and although admitted their mistake, didn't apply the deal at the final total.
W. B.
Relaxed family environment, food is delicious and well presented, prices good and staff very friendly. Definitely recommend a visit.
