Tea was just warm watery milk for some reason the staff removed the tea bag rather than letting me decide how strong I liked it, took it back and was given a fresh cup with tea bag left in and separate milk, why not just do that in the first place? Friends coffee was forgotten about and yet again had to go back and tell the staff. Sausage sandwich was nothing special. Scone was dry. Heard lots of good things about this place but wasn't really that impressed. Photo is off washed out tea 😕

Lovely Café. Inside it's small but comfortable. A favourite with cyclists. Top quality cakes and tray bakes. A good variety of hot and cold drinks. Plenty of outdoor seating. Staff are always polite and welcoming. Highly recommended to all, even those not comfortable wearing lycra 😂😎

Delicious home baked scone, still warm, with butter and blackcurrant jam. Made that cycle ride into the prevailing wind well worth while.

Staff are helpful and friendly, the menu is extensive, cheese scone are how I remember from my childhood, large, soft and very tasty. The parsnip and maple syrup cake is absolutely delicious and so moist. I will have to bring my camera next time as the birds are varied and come close. A lovely relaxing place to visit. 😊🍰☕

Lovely little cafe/takeaway. Nice selection of cakes and ice reams. And of course coffee and teas. Loads of well spaced out picnic tables under the trees. Was really pleasant sitting with a lovely coffee listening to the birds singing.

Lovely, friendly, helpful. Lovely latte and cream scone. Traybakes are great too. Perfect for hungry cyclists. Offering a takeaway service, with plenty of seats both under cover and outside. Thoroughly recommended.

We were looking for a coffee in the wider area whole passing through and happened upon the Kirkley Cafe. The coffee was great, the chocolate cake delicious and the scenery is just relaxing. If you are in the area, drop by :-) Side notes: The usual crowd is likely more the bicyclists from the other shops. The toilet was clean enough.

Cycled there today and had a mug of tea and a lovely toasted teacake with butter and raspberry jam costing £4.20. There is only outside seating mostly on grass with please t views of the countryside. The woman that takes the orders at a cuppy hole is so friendly and welcoming. To get there take the road from the mini roundabout in Ponteland heading north past Police HQ for 2.5 miles and Kirkley cafe is on the left. I would defo recommend this cafe for a very friendly service and good food.

This review is for the cafe only as I've not had to use the bike shop. Lovely cosy place in cooler weather and plenty of tables outside for warmer days. Good friendly service and reasonable prices. My fave food here has to be the sausage sandwiches, lovely sausage packed with flavour and served in malty brown bread.

Cracking cafe that not only serves great cake but hosts many road and cyclocross races. A hot chocolate and slice of coffee cake on a cold wet ride has saved my life a couple of times here. Great place :)
