The best coffee! We ordered a flat white and a latte and they were both amazing. Very strong, smooth and priced really well. I had the chicken, avocado and pesto sourdough toastie which was fantastic too, best toastie I've had in ages.
The cafe is small inside, but there is additional seating downstairs :)

Decent little coffee shop, sourdough toasties looked pretty nice, but we just popped in for a coffee.
No baby changing facilities on site, but there is a toilet for parents!
Nice coffee, nothing fancy, does the job.

Perfect at all levels - whether coffee, dessert, wi-fi, people or atmosphere.
Flat white (my favourite) is made well here.

Excellent coffee!!! At last!!!
Properly prepared with guest or regular blends this is one of a handful of UK cafes I've visited that can match up to the highest standard for coffee.
I knew it would be good before even tasting it. The coppery gold froth on my black americano and the fact that it wasn't watered down to fill a ridiculous bucket sized cup told me this.
My girlfriend, another hard nosed
coffee buff, her skinny mocha was amongst her best.
If you rate cafes on how tall the drink is, how much cream, chocolate, syrup or other crud is used to dominate the flavour then stick to Costa etc. If you love the taste of unadulterated black coffee come here.
Also a good value tastey toasted sandwich.
And the tables were clean. What more can you ask for?

Visited this coffee shop at the start of a week’s holiday and came back at the end of the week because it was so good. Not to overdo it but the bacon sandwich in a brioche bun was the best bacon sani I’ve ever had! The coffee itself is high quality and well presented.

Nice and busy Caffè. Limited seating. Downstairs doesn't feel very private wirh the kitchen door open. Loud banging from coffee machine upstairs can be heard from downstairs. Good food
S. L.
Awesome service. Coffee and tea were so well prepared. Will be back whenever I’m in town.
A. L.
Great selection of bakeries. For those who don't drink coffee, their hot chocolate is also really nice
R. B.
One of the newer additions to Newcastle's growing speciality coffee scene. A must if you're visiting the toon!

Cute little place with tasty cakes 😍
C. P.
This is probably the best coffee served in Newcastle . A great grind and prepared perfectly . They have some nice food choices too especially when the doughnuts are in !! . Totally unpretentious and focussed on good coffee .

I love this place, the staff are lovely and the food is fantastic. It is well decorated and has a great atmosphere. I highly recommend.
L. P.
Great coffee and cakes off the main drag and in a really interesting spot.
D. F.
Really lovely little place to chill and drink good coffee ☕
W. H.
I must say this is the best in Newcastle!
F. S.
An enjoyable flat white, and the bacon sandwich was tasty, if a little overcooked and under-filled
C. E.
The best coffee in Newcastle I’ve found. I’ve tried most coffee outlets in Newcastle, this is with certainty the best! Excellent coffee, competitive pricing and nice range of snacks.
M. P.
Great for a quick breakfast. Order taken at the till, much better than sitting at a table and struggling with q-codes. Coffee fantastic, toasties great. Loved it!
D. E.
Amazing coffee and the male owner is pretty hot!

My friend invited me to meet at this place as she normally likes trying out coffee at different places in town. This one was a keeper for her as she told me that she always keeps coming back because of the atmosphere of the place.
When I went to meet her, I found the place quite inviting and decided to give it a try (as I also have my favorite coffee spot). I wasn't at all disappointed!
This place is a nice quaint little coffee shop to try out if you just want a little getaway from the hustle and bustle of the town. The interior is bright and minimalistic - practical and no frills, making the ambiance just right for chilling and downtime. Perfect for sipping a cup of tea or coffee and just catching up on a little reading or having a chat with a friend.
The staff are quite friendly, and readily assist you in bringing your orders to the table. The food they serve are reasonably priced, fresh, and their cakes are super delicious, too. And although they don't offer a lot of choices for food, the ones they have are I think, just perfect for this cosy spot in town. Their carrot cake is my favorite!
J. B.
Nice little spot for a good coffee and bite to eat.
K. B.
Efficient service and great prices.
Staff were friendly and helpful when asked questions about the menu. The mocha and falafel salad I ordered were great and neither me nor my friend were one bit disappointed. Worth noting it is quite busy during peak hours of the day and perhaps worth booking in advance - otherwise perfect for a quick stop and grab!
C. E.
Great little coffee shop. Friendly staff and reasonable prices.
A. A.
Amazing place lovely staff you should give it a try!
M. C.
Very small cafe so there might not be room to sit but it is well worth a look. Good selection of breakfast lunch and sweets and the coffee was good too.
L. S.
Best Flat white in Newcastle!
Absolutely delicious💛
R. L.
Top notch Americano and Reuben, superb little hideaway. 11/10!
E. P.
Just had an almond milk latte that was amazing! Met Elinore and Neve who were doing the best job ever at running a bustling little coffee shop in Newcastle! I expected to see my buddy Thomas there, as he is a regular, but not today! 😀
I. P.
Good coffee, small inside. if you want a large coffee you get a paper cup.
I. G.
Nice little shop. Great hot drinks and great staff. I can see why people in Newcastle love it!
J. A.
Very tidy little cafe and currently the number one spot in Newcastle for quality coffee. All baristas really know their stuff and clearly have an active interest in coffee which makes the world of difference to the coffee enthusiast.
Food options are few but all nicely chosen and well crafted, offering some really nice sourdough sandwiches, breakfast options like granola (personal favorite) and sweet items like the nutella donut.
Tastefully decorated and in a nice location. Only criticism would be more plugs for laptop users.
L. W.
Really good coffee and really nice cozy place to sit in, wish I lived closer!
S. S.
Excellent coffee, one of the best flat whites I've had in the UK and the avocado toast was great too. Friendly staff and nice atmosphere.
M. J. G.
Great coffee and really good atmosphere :)
C. J.
Lovely coffee. They do Aeropress and v60 really nicely, as well as the full range of espresso coffees. I didn't eat, but they had some nice pastries, and their breakfast menu included a bacon sandwich, avocado on toast, and some other things that I don't remember...
T. S. L.
A very comfortable cafe to enjoy coffee and pastry. Always do my work there and feel extremely comfortable me cosy. The coffee is really good but a bit costly compare to other cafe nearby, but still worth a visit.
L. M.
Great coffee, friendly staff, highly recommend
E. F.
Decent coffee but patronising. My wife (a coffe addict, expert) likes a dash of oat milk in her filter but was told that this was wrong. Up to the customers taste, isn't it? Sticking with flatcaps now, sorry.
J. P.
very friendly. lovely people. so polite and happy to help .
don't forget sitting down dtairs.
A. C.
The latest in a string of independent coffee shops in Newcastle and a worthy addition to the lineup.
The decoration is light and modern which, to me makes it the perfect place to spend a while people watching. Especially considering the location on High Bridge and the great playlist they had going on when I was there.
The menu is a decent selection of espresso based drinks with the addition of aeropress and V60 as well.
B. P.
Perfect place for a healthy breakfast.
I. F.
Beautiful coffee, these guys know their stuff 😚
V. L.
Very-very good quality coffee and delicious brownie! Especially rad one. It’s better go here than drink overpriced and shotty coffee in nearby well-known cafes.
N. B.
In the days we were in Newcastle, Laneway & Co consistently served some of the best coffee we've ever had. Clean, comfortable and fast wifi. But most of all, the coffee! Do yourself a favour and try it, if you're a coffee affecionado you won't regret it.
A. C.
One of my favourite places to visit in newcastle. Always s little den of peace in a sea of chaos.
The light cafe food is always delicious and caters for a wide variety of dietery requirements.
Coffee is sublime, baristas are knowledgeable and friendly.
Top marks

Loved my visit here. Nice and minimul. Super clean and friendly staff. Coffee was great with Soy and Almond and I think oat milk too. Will be heading back again tomorrow. Loved it.
J. S.
Needed a new coffee spot after intermezzo closed and I'd heard good things about this place... I only had time to grab a takeaway coffee but it was excellent. My new favourite coffee in town- definitely recommend.
N. G.
Fantastic coffee shop. Great place to sit with a coffee and work. Even have a selection of vegan baked goods (changes all the time)
J. M.
Really nice minimalist coffee shop in Newcastle. The coffee is spot on and the treats they get in are really nice and sweet. Would go there for meetings, catch ups or to do some work
A. L.
Nice pastry and ambience, but the flat white was a bit milky, bordering on a latte. That said, the sunday pastry amd coffee deal at £3 was good value. If you are a big coffee afficionado though i'd say Flat Caps is a better bet.
H. A.
Highly recommended 💗the staff are super friendly and professional💗The place is so lovely.💗The quality of the coffee is great💗
M. H. (. D.
Great spot for a quick lunch or coffee. £5.50 for a toastie and coffee (at time of posting), which is great value considering the quality. Will definitely be returning.
A. A.
Loved my Cappuccino and Sourdough toastie. Clean, tidy and friendly.
J. C.
The coffee is decent, but they don't seem to offer more than one type which is a shame. Other than that, it's a beautiful place with lovely staff
V. G.

Great coffee, loverly service from an aspiring poet from Ireland. Much better on both fronts than your “what’s your name” coffee chains.
