Excellent food, great coffee and very friendly service. Biggest challenge is deciding what to order because it all looks so good!

Everything well presented. Great cake selection. Made to feel at home. Spotlessly clean. Good espresso, a dark, Italian style roast. The bar caters for vegetarians. Recommend a visit.

Angello and Mandy have now sold the business to another Italian couple and are free to enjoy life. Thanks both for the friendly service. The new family are also very obliging and friendly and serve tasty food. My favourite is the BLT which is not actually on the menu but is superb. Toilet is down stairs so not wheelchair friendly but Friars Walk toilets nearby. A high chair is available for the little ones. Seating also outside for times of sunshine or for the few smokers who have not seen the light! The fridge is full of the most tasty pastries from Ostuni who are Angellos relatives and our favourite is the iced slice shared between us. Busy at times but well worth the wait. Sometimes it is like being in Italy when the owners are chatting to visiting Italians, we love it. 😊

What a fantastic place to have a coffee, indulge in some stunning food and be swept off your feet with fantastic customer service. Whenever we come to the City Centre, we always make sure that we have a coffee and some cake here as we know that we’ll always receive a warm welcome. The customer service here goes above and beyond and it always makes our visit extra special every time we come. Highly recommend, Bar Piazza, and I insist that you make a visit when visiting Newport City Centre

This is an excellent cafe serving awesome coffee but also an excellent variety of foods and drinks. The service is excellent and really friendly. The food is made fresh and they are always willing to adjust to order. I’ve never been in or walked past and seen it empty, and this is well deserved. Take a pass on the big coffee chains and support a truly superb local business.

We came here for afternoon tea and had a selection of sandwiches, sausage rolls, scone and a mixture of mini cakes. Included in the price was unlimited tea and coffee. Throughout the time we were there the staff came over to check we were ok and if we needed anymore drinks. As always they were very nice and welcoming. Would definitely recommend coming here for afternoon tea in such a lovely cafe.

Best custard slices in the world! I love custard slices and these are amazing! They are homemade and even do a biscoff custard slice which is out of this world. They also do a whole slab version as well so each year for my birthday the wife gets me one of these instead of a birthday cake.

This is my favourite café in Newport. Classic Italian food, delicious coffee, friendly staff. With a petite indoor and outdoor seating area. The paninis here are a must. I have been coming here for roughly 20 years, and I still love going there to this day. The desserts are delectable as well. Highly recommend.

Had a very tasty lunch here away from the standard chains of the city centre. A simple ham, mozzarella, tomato and basil paninni served with a salad garnish was just right alongside a smooth flat white. Excellent coffee is of course a must for an European style cafe and this didn't disappoint. Most importantly the staff were universally friendly, accommodating and helpful and the setting relaxed. Appears very popular as my table was taken almost as soon as I had left, but felt absolutely no pressure to move on.

Choux bun is very nice The directions take you to Monmouthshire building society which is incorrect. Walk in the alley by M&S foodhall and its there. It has a black canopy and chairs outside.

Bar Piazza is a little slice of Italy in the middle of the up-and-coming city of Newport. This coffee shop is a great place to kick back and enjoy a hot or cold drink alongside one of their delicious pastries and baguettes. The staff are always friendly and the atmosphere is consistently relaxed, be it raining, snowing - or even match day! Bar Piazza also sells authentic Italian pasta, pulses and cheeses - pop in for some of their Christmas Panettone!
