Have been coming to this place for over 3 years and love it. The staff are so friendly and always welcome your dogs and sometimes give them sausages and chicken :). The tea room is so pretty, it's light and airy too and you have a choice to sit inside or outside when the weather's good. Lots of choices of hot and cold beverages, and nice cakes and pastries, the prices are reasonable. Toilet facilities available too just outside of the tea room, plenty of seating available. Normally busiest in early afternoon.

Belle Vue is a beautiful park, great views from the Tea Rooms. We went as part of the Jubilee celebrations, stunning afternoon, live music (not sure who they were but they have great voices), great atmosphere, great company. The weather was also great, pretty perfect afternoon really

Enjoyed a wonderful afternoon tea here today. The food was absolutely gorgeous especially the tasty chicken sandwiches and bara brith. To be honest we couldn't quite believe how much we got for our money. Only £33 for two and we had loads of beautifully fresh sandwiches with four different fillings. Scones, jam, clotted cream, flapjacks, welsh cakes and lemon and poppyseed cake. We also had two large pots of tea. Even though it was a busy day the service was perfect...such a wonderful team...you exceeded our expectations! Thankyou so much, we will definitely be back!

We went for afternoon tea it was fantastic ! Really good dietary options, vegan and gluten free. Mostly homemade too. It's a lovely setting in a conservatory overlooking the park and views of Newport.

I have to write this review after experiencing the service at the tea rooms and then reading some of the negative comments, they don't add up. What an amazing place to have a tea room. The beautiful views and not to mention the wonderful food and the friendliness of the staff, they are so helpful. I urge everyone, from dog walkers to parents walking about the park to try the delicious hot chocolate and cake which is a dream on a cold day. Thank you belle Vue team rooms and keep doing what you do best

Beautiful tearoom, and always with friendly service. Yes, there can be a wait when busy but the food and drink has always been worth it. Today's visit to see Santa was truly wonderful and the effort put in to create a happy family experience was very obvious in how well run the experience was.

Visited the tearooms on Sunday to see Santa with my young children. Lovely venue and whilst the tearoom was extremely busy, the staff were very pleasant and accommodating. The cakes were fab and my daughter loved the hot chocolate with cream and marshmallows!! The tea rooms and conservatory have been decorated beautifully for Christmas and the Polar Express model was a great touch!

A lovely little tea room, with a great selection of eats and snacks, including for meat and dairy free! Plenty of seating indoors and out and great hospitality from the staff. Waiting times are a bit of a thing when it's busy, but that's usual.

Great location and the food is great! The kids loved the hot chocolate and tea cake. The staff could do better! I came with a 3 and 1 year old. They stood talking to each other while I had to locate and fetch the high chair. They were so busy making plans for their night out they couldn't even smile at their customers!

Excellent tea rooms inside and tables out on the rear veranda - very sunny. Quite a good snack food menu and wide range of excellent cakes. Wide drinks menu (non-alcoholic). Lovely conserved heritage building and veranda has views over western Newport with glimpses of the Transporter Bridge and the new arch Bridge over the River Usk.

Visited with my Dad for cream tea and the ladies couldn't have been more helpful. This is an all sweet tea with amazing cakes. Great value too. We were both impressed and Dad even bought a quiche for his tea. Thanks so much, hope to return soon.

Brilliant cafe situated inside the conservatory of the main building overlooking the park and Newport's industrial area (very far away). Lovely and warm inside, comfy seating, excellent views, lots of choice of hot and cold foods, cakes, and drinks. I highly recommend stopping by while visiting. Dog friendly too.

I ordered afternoon tea today for a friends birthday it’s was for 4 people but enough to feed 6 or 7 it was absolutely beautiful couldn’t fault nothing we will definitely be having it again thank you so much 😊

Point of information. Buy a groupon offer of cream tea which is usually drink and scone jam and cream but at belle Vue you get cake or bara brith and welshcakes. A table cloth and china crockery is set for you. Groupon is £9.95 for two whereas the full price is £8 per person. People embellishing having to share a cake are purposefully giving a poor review but not telling the full story. Mention was also made of our sandwiches being more expensive than they are. Another comment of a dirty tearoom. A place which gets steam cleaned every night but of course some customers create a significant mess so we have to clean best we can without disturbing other customers. Today I spoke to a woman to tell her to get her dog off the table!!!. Her dog sat on a table which services other customers. Hence a one star rating. I presume she left because I was perceived to be rude. We are hoping she doesn’t come back. It’s at least three times the woman has done this and smirked when spoken to. We do our best and sometimes we make some mistakes but we are honest and have integrity about what we provide. Thanks for your kind and accurate reviews but for those wanting to be disrespectful and disingenuous then I’m afraid there’s nothing I can do but pity the motives and the personalities of those who feel they have to cause mischief. Whilst actually not saying anything in the tearoom.

I was born and grew up in the area of the park. For us kids, it was somewhere to go to enjoy ourselves off the streets. Built on the side of a hill, it's an area full of grass and trees, with an impressive building at the top and tennis courts and greenhouses. At the lower level is the old bandstand, where we had all sorts of entertainment. Below that again is the children's playground, loved by all the local children. Very little has changed over the years. The upper building now houses a cafe/ice cream stall, where you can sit inside or outside ( for the views). There's now a car park on the top left hand corner, a nominal fee for abled vehicles and free for disabled.
