The coffee was alright, a bit burnt though. They offered a variety of simple foods. I was most amused by their milkshakes which all had pun names with different characters. The mint choc chip drink looked amazing. Very kid friendly and fun to just sit around, there are comic books at every table. Nice staff.

A well decorated, welcoming coffee shop with a varied, well priced menu. There is outdoor seating to be found out the back and a nice variety of comics to read while you wait etc. There is also a decent selection of Marvel/DC figurines, keyrings, mugs, and comics and graphic novels for sale. Definitely worth a visit and I'll certainly be visiting again in the near future!

Excellent independent coffee shop. The decor is excellent with the entire place decorated to appeal to comic and gaming enthusiasts, and the entire menu is also themed in the same way. They provide an array of comics and graphic novels to read whilst you drink and dine, free WiFi to enjoy, and they sell new comics and all sorts of related merchandise. Add to this that they have regular movie showings, gaming nights and other events, and you have somewhere they you need to visit!

What a great place. Stopped in for a waffle and milkshake and I'm so glad we did. The food was great and the decor was so cool. Any comic book fan would be in 7th heaven here. Batman on the TV. Comic books to read and so many cool toys on the shelves. And to top it off the staff were all so friendly. Anyone visiting Newport should definitely drop by!

Fantastic find! Great food & drink, great service, friendly, quirky decor with good vegan and gluten free options. One of the best smashed avocado on toast I've ever had, coffee and mint tea was great and you can't tell the shakes are vegan they taste sooo good. Definately coming back on our next trip!

This place is rather underrated. It is very cozy, they have lovely food and shakes. They got nerdy competitions and a geeky shake of the week. They also got merch to buy on sight! You can read comic books whilst you wait for your order and the staff is just beyond friendly! This is a must visit.

This is an amazing humble coffee shop , shakes are so damn tasty (Pikachu is still my fave) all themed and fun. Eco friendly, good waffles and panini's . Staff are so sweet! All the pictures are of different shakes on seperate occasions! Also had one one that had eyes on it!!! Called Beetlejuice! 🥤

Amazing. The place looks so cool, really lovely and colourful. The menu is wide ranged from savoury to sweet dishes. I ordered the nutella and banana waffle which was lovely. Food came promptly. Service was lovely and professional. They even did smoothies which is very refreshing to have on a summers day. My favourite cafe on the Isle of Wight. I would encourage anyone to go here.

The coffee was fab and the cinnamon waffle was gorgeous, but the staff are the reason ComiCoffee is as great at it is. After hearing great things about this place we decided to give ComiCoffee a try instead of our usual go-to coffee shop, and needless to say, ComiCoffee will be our go-to place now. There are plenty of coffee shops in the area that can provide a good coffee, but the welcoming and friendly atmosphere that ComiCoffee provides sets them apart from the rest. Literally the most friendly team work in here. It's a bit pricey, and I'm not sure how a babycinno can be justified on the menu at £1.75 given they're free or 50p in most places, but their menu is full of variety and fresh. The milkshakes are amazing, and the decor is super cool. It's a firm favourite in our house!

Excellent lunch at Comicoffee. I'm not super into comics, but really enjoyed the theming. The lunch quality was the main thing, though. We both really enjoyed our sandwiches. I had the one with sausage. It was very nice, but they had used really quite low quality sausagesthe sort you get at a breakfast buffet at a cheap hotel. There's really no need for this. It is for this reason that I have dropped from 5*s to 4*s. My wife had a bacon and cranberry sandwhich, which she loved. There was also a brie and cranberry one on offer. But not bacon, brie and cranberry, unfortunately! We had a milkshake after which was very tasty. We don't normally get drinks, but were pleased that we did this time. It was a good sizeplenty for the two of us to share. I highly recommend going here... but there are no doubt better options than the sausage sandwhich. That is, unless you see a response to this review from the owners saying that they've changed to high quality sausages. Then definitely go for the sausage sandwhich! (if you like/eat sausages, that is...)

Been here a few times already since opening, every time has been lovely. The most original coffee bar on the island with a superb range of drinks, not just coffee. Also the most gorgeous waffles you could have and home made cakes. The only place to be seen in Newport now. I wont use the usual corporate giants from now on. Family run friendly and personal just perfect.

As soon as you walk in there is a lovely ambience and a very warm welcome from the staff. On my first visit I got chatting with Matt who was attentive and genuine and a pleasure to talk with. As a coeliac it was refreshing to find gluten free options which was fantastic, particularly as they are looking to increase their range. If you’re a comic fan or just enjoy a cuppa, coffee, or milkshake then this unique venue is for you. I look forward to going back soon.

Truly stunning place. It's unique and charming, the people are kind and friendly, always happy to have a conversation with you. I hadecided cake and a shake and both were amazing. My sister suggested a different version on the crumble cake she had and they took in on bpardon and will make some for next week for us. This place is amazing, a must go to place for food and drinks. It has got a great selection of different foods and drinks which would please everyone, from coffees to teas, hot chocolate, smoothies, shakes etc. Paninis, home made waffles with all types of filling and CREATE YOUR OWN COMBO Waffles. The staff are very friendly and welcoming to all ages no matter if you are into comic books or not everyone is treated equally. Definitely a place to go!!!!!

Stumbled across this amazing, quirky, independent cafe while holidaying on IoW. As a vegan my choices so far on the island were fairly limited - but not here! Full vegan menu of lovely choices just for me!! 🤣 I shared a savoury Vegan bubble waffle with hommous, avocado and rocket with my SD. Followed by a shared sweet Vegan Bannoffi bubble waffle and ice cream. Both were literally paradise on a plate!!! And after trying them my non Vegan OH and SD's friend agreed. They were equally impressed with their American Breakfast waffle (bacon and maple syrup) and ham with caramelised onion panini. Not only was the food and coffees incredible, but the staff were fantastic - very welcoming and friendly; the overall atmosphere was relaxed and chilled. PLUS they had board games and HP cushions!! A very happy, fun, afternoon well spent. Can't recommend highly enough for vegans/veggies or meatlovers and for islanders and visitors too.

Fantastically authentic place with an array of comic books, lovely food (especially recommend the bacon and maple syrup waffle), chilled atmosphere with nice music and great service. Also there's the classic 60s Batman series always playing on a TV with subtitles and no sound so it's not intrusive but still an entertaining suplimentary feature, geeky artworks and figurines that are hidden about the place. Great if you're a comic book buff or just looking for a distinct breakfast experience on the Isle of Wight.

Been going here since they opened, amazing customer service, super friendly, the food is nothing short of amazing, using high quality, locally sourced ingredients they have something for everyone including vegans and vegetarians, I personally recommend the wookie cookie milk shake, banoffee waffle and the Moroccan Mint tea but after you've been once you'll want to go back and try the entire menu!

I have been to ComiCoffee a number of times now and every time I have been the service has been very warm and welcoming. I can get easily intimidated when walking into places but I haven't felt like that once when I walk into ComiCoffee. If you need to go somewhere where you can escape the every day life and where you won't be judged no matter how much of a geek you are then ComiCoffee is definitely the place to go :D

ComiCoffee is conveniently located at the centre of town, and yet manages to have a certain peacefulness in contrast to the high street. It's beautifully decorated with handmade furniture which lends a rustic feel and character. They offer free WiFi, USB and socket outlets and bored games. The highlight for me is the cake. I had a strawberry and blueberry crumble square and it was GORGEOUS. They have a large variety of coffee and milkshakes, cakes, waffles and paninis. A lot of passion has clearly gone into making this place into a vibrant, friendly place that you simply must visit.
