Such a lovely friendly place to eat or drink . Everything is well priced, and the staff are happy to accommodate all your needs . Frozen yogurt drinks ( FroYo's) are an absolute must, so delicious. They have a new member of staff Ellie who is a breath of fresh air , super helpful and polite and an excellent addition to the team .

Had an small Italian baguette today from French Franks in Cowes. The baguette was very fresh and the ingredients were delicious, the chicken was moist and the quality of all of the ingredients was superb. I regularly go into the local shop because I am never disappointment. The staff are friendly and very efficient, the shop is always busy and the staff go above and beyond to make sure the customer goes away with a delicious purchase. One happy customer.🥖😀

Food is amazing, loads of options! Gluten free is great, it's only the standard gluten free ciabattas but the fillings are great! Friendly staff and handy locations as well as being able to order online are the reason we keep coming back! (Coffees great as well!)

A delicious bacon baguette and a cuppa is a great way to start a day. Frank's never fails to deliver this when I get the chance. Have been using the Newport and Cowes branches for many years. Lovely attentive staff and reasonably priced.

As someone who has visited all three venues (and someone who really does enjoy my food), I can confidently say that you will be met with impeccable food hygiene, admirable and friendly customer service (this is an understatement, the people who work there are amazing, I’ve never met such personable and welcoming staff). Not to mention a menu choice that will leave you doubting your decision-making skills (honestly, I don’t think there is one thing on the menu that doesn’t sound tempting). The food is outstanding, you can tell it’s well made and with quality ingredients. The pricing is very reasonable also. Recently French Franks opened a third café / takeaway; in Cross Street Newport. As with all their venues, the new place is very well managed, it’s well organised and the food orders are made correctly. The team there are just lovely, I cannot fault them. They have customers queuing out the door because the customers know that they’ll be met with warm and friendly welcome and served high quality, well-made food. Honestly, you must try this place!! I’m sure you’ve been served by miserable and rude staff before; a café, clothes shop, restaurant, supermarket. It makes you less inclined to make a repeat visit you feel put out, annoyed. It feels as if they don’t care about their customers. You will never ever be met by a rude member of the French Franks team. It just doesn’t happen. Believe me each shop is very popular, I doubt they need reviews like this, they don’t need to try, yet they always do!! On a negative, since the new Cross Street shop has opened, my calorie-controlled diet is a thing of the past, but that’s my own fault, and it’s been worth every calorie!!

Popped in for a late breakfast - chose a takeaway bagel with smoked salmon. The bagel was assembled in front of me, arriving toasty warm into my hungry hands. It tasted pretty good too. And all at a reasonable price with friendly service. There was a sit-down option too which looked cosy, casual and inviting.

Nice cafe in the heart of Newport. Delicious baguettes made with fresh produce. It can get really busy here at lunchtime, there is plenty of indoor and outdoor seating, but with the takeaway trade as well, it is very busy. Fortunately the staff are well equipped and manage to remain calm and friendly!

Their salads, especially prawn and avocado, are absolutely delicious. It would be lovely to have listened to some music, maybe, French cafe, whilst sitting outside in the sunny square. Add to the experience. Perhaps there are local laws preventing this?

A firm favourite with my family ! Always visit for lunch when we are on the Isle of Wight. Delicious baguettes with a wide variety of tasty fillings .Can thoroughly recommend French Frank's.

I've seen a couple of these on my travels around Isle of Wight and if deffo recommend going there. In the run-up to Christmas they do specials on Wednesdays, e.g. Turkey, cranberry baguettes but they run out straightaway. Just try to work out their COVID-19 rules inside the shop when you get there. If in doubt, stand on a yellow sticker.
