Lovely coffee and even better service right to your table! The venue is all vegan, the seating is nice and the venue feels cosy

BEST COFFEE IN NORWICH. Gorgeous little welcoming vegan coffee shop, with the perfect coffee and tasty cakes and cookies - rainbow oreo or biscoff smore are my faves! Take a friend or a laptop or book.

Overall a disappointing experience.
The staff and the customers seem to expend so much energy wrapping themselves up in the Union Jack of Veganism that there is very little left but an unattractive self-regarding form of environmental patriotism, that gets in the way of what they should focus on: Idealism, good coffee and ambience.
The coffee is 5 stars. But the rest is a bit of a let down.
The staff weren't friendly. It was as if i had wandered into the hall of a stately home and the butler had clocked me for a peasant and was not going to waste the pittance of his pleasantries upon somebody lower down the social scale than he.
I proceeded to climb the stairs to the outside patio. It was sunny, but it had rained earlier. The outdoor seats had pooled a great deal of rainwater and consequently were too wet to use.
A business that took the comfort of its customers seriously, would have placed the chairs leaning at an angle to the tables, to prevent rainwater collecting on the chairs and rendering them unusable for customers.
I had the upstairs to myself, though I wasn't completely alone. There was a collection of easy to grow pot plants that looked more ill at ease and unloved than me. They were parched dry, and though they were ostensibly ornamenting a vegan café, one imagined that they'd be a little bit better loved in an abattoir.
Keeping them company was a little posse of very friendly flies, who more than made up for the attitude below stairs, by playfully circling my head and chasing one another in a very naughty and lascivious fashion.
There are many places in Norwich that sell good coffee and are not so smug that they are unable to offer cleanliness and ambiance. Check out Artel, The Green Grocers, Bread Source or Kofra.
Please don't just sit on your laurels, water them too, and if it doesn't impinge too much on your sense of yourselves as being amongst the exalted, smile and greet your customers.

As soon as I saw the Minor Figures refill machine I knew I was in the right place and when I tried the coffee I was assured that I was right on the money. Ancestors is a great place to sit back and enjoy coffee done properly, this independent establishment features a vast array of seating, occupying a two floors in addition to a sun trap garden terrace that couldn’t be any more popular. Ancestors hits all the marks and I’ll be glad to return.

A beautiful place to visit for a coffee and bite to eat, I'm a Baker and I am very particular with cakes and sweet treats and you guys have some of the best in Norwich! The banana bread is AMAZING!!
I won't spend the time getting my thesaurus out to make me sound 'intelligent' in my review or waste time describing the way flies move. You guys are always so incredibly friendly whenever I visit with my little whippet.
As for the plants, it's been an incredibly hot week and for someone who maybe isn't familiar with how busy and stressful working in hospitality can be, the plants will sometimes miss a weeks watering.
Thank you for everything you guys are doing, I love visiting and will continue drinking your fab coffee and eating your amazing cakes!

Incredible place to eat/drink! The vibe is incredible, the portion sizes are generous and the staff are wonderful and friendly 💕 it's all vegan and the house milk is oat (so no need to pay that extra 30p for vegan milk like some other places do). I would genuinely recommend this place to anyone and everyone, vegan or non-vegan!

Amazing coffee. All bakeries are homemade done in house. Definitely recommend anyone who loves good coffee and delicious baked goods.

Nice decor, great coffee and bites. I’ve been down this road no less than a thousand times but never saw this place. As we walked out of a shop opposite really fancied coffee and just then realised there’s a coffee shop in front of us. It started raining as well so instead of walking towards Anglia square where our usual coffee shop is we walked right in.
This please didn’t disappoint and most probably will visit again.

Super friendly family run vegan coffee house with a really warm welcome, amazing coffee & hot chocolate & freshly baked cakes & treats! Blueberry Breakfast Smoothie was out of this world & Brookie was deliciious, visited every day of our trip :)

Stopping by in Norwich for a quick coffee to find the most beautifully curated vegan cafe I have ever stumbled upon. Everything from the menu, to the logo and the staff were so well composed and refined. Their ever changing espresso blend paired amazingly with the food - they truly found some new fans that day.
