Reviews of The Refectory at Norwich Cathedral

I visited The Refectory for a meal after exploring the beautiful cathedral. My experience was fantastic: smiling staff, quiet & clean surrounding and wonderful food. I ordered the aromatic duck salad and some walnut & carrot cake and coffee. I left happy! Thank you so much. I will be back when in Norwich! ❤️

Modern twist on a historic site. Mezzanine area which had a vibrant buzz. Some outdoor seating under cover on either side of the eating area available. No need to book ideal for light lunch whilst out shopping in city centre for a peaceful break and reflection.

Lovely setting, great range of teas and coffees. I love their tea strainers (it's the simple things). There could be a bit more atmosphere. I used to love the real hot chocolate the cafe used to offer before it was taken over by Jarrolds.

An excellent venue in every respect for food and drink of the highest quality in fine surroundings. Disappointing, however, they now close so early (3.30 pm) and no longer cater for people popping in around 4.00 - 4.30 pm for refreshment before attending Evensong, as used to be the case.

It's a nice place food and coffee was very good. Staff are nice but the service needs some work really, had to remind them to bring my drink as I already finished my food so not ideal but will give it another go.

The refectory now belongs to Jarrolds so you can guarantee polite and quick service as well as good food. A delicious vegan cake was available and there may have been other items on the menu.

Impressive architecturally and for the quality of the latte and the apple pie! Excellent value and they even warmed the pie for me.

Perfect place for coffee and cake, fabulous staff, and gorgeous surroundings.
