Reviews of Mrs C's Vintage Tea Room

Really lovely tea room. Took my Italian companion here for a different experience and he enjoyed it a lot. We had mint tea and a slice of lemon drizzle cake. The tea was flavourful and the cake had a lovely zingy taste. Really friendly and pleasant lady served us and we really recommend you try it!

Beautiful tea room. I felt like I stepped back in time to the 40s when I walked in. Mrs C is so friendly and welcoming. All food is served fresh and all the cakes are home baked.

This is amazing place for a cuppa in Hucknall, you get a real 1940's hit when you enter and big portions of tea and cake. Highly recommend to anyone looking for great service and great food.

Love this place everytime I go, the staff are so friendly and you can have a right giggle with them, love the style of dresses they wear, (makes me want a job there just for the dress🤣)
Place is clean, food is freshly made.
I always go for afternoon tea and as always it was amazing, always bring my scone home and cake as I'm always full before getting to the sweet treats.
Would definitely recommend this place,

Great little cafe, the owner is really friendly and great food. (The brownies are to die for) also she has some vintage clothes for sale currently. Really worth checking out. You will need to book.

We had a fantastic time this morning, at Mrs c vintage tea rooms. Very welcome and friendly, well decorated and clean. Food was made after we had all ordered. Made in front of you, cakes really big portion. The afternoon tea was well worth it money. Will be going back very soon xxx

Went for my birthday celebration with 4others. Lovely food. Sandwiches freshly made. Afternoon tea menu well worth it. We all had to bring leftovers home as too full. Atmosphere lovely. If I had to give a negative thought it would be that the tearoom was too small, so our conversation was not as private as we'd like.

Wonderful old vintage cafe from back in the day during the war! Quite literally! 😀

Absolute fantastic takes you right into the 1940ties. Authentic interior, the menu is set in a ration book lamps retro 40ties look the owner Mrs Karen Chubley dresses in the style with an hairstyle to go with it. (Looks really good). An extensive menu and good quality food (of course served to have the authentical look) at reasonable prices. We will definitely go again. Enjoyed ourselves very much.

Very quaint little themed tea room, hidden away off Hucknall High Street. Very reasonably priced drinks and homemade cakes.
Unfortunately they don't have speciality milks for dairy intolerant folks, but they did have my Redbush tea, and I could still have jam on toast, and it's a nice and friendly little independent shop to find and support.
L. W.
A great little place. Warm and friendly staff. Thoroughly recommend Mrs C's special. The scones are the best I've tasted in ages. Will definately be returning to try more. I recommend booking to avoid disappointment.
A. H.
Very quaint place, but that makes it feel homely. Which goes hand in hand with the way Mrs C treats you whilst you're there. The scones we had were simply sublime, we will definitely be returning for some more.
L. P.
Excellent service food cooked to perfection. Staff and atmosphere dressed up forties style. Outside and inside seating areas. 5* highly recommend a visit. Toilet available inside. Reasonably priced food and drinks.

So beautiful and amazing place going back into 1940s and 1950s such a peaceful and relaxing cafe plus the staff are so friendly and warming in open arms i will give it a 10 out 10 and will visit definitely again.

I must admit that Mrs C's is slighty set back from the main road through Hucknall and I hadn't realized it was a retro cafe, but the sight of the staff stood out side dressed as if they just stepped out a time machine. I had to check there wasn't filming going on but as you step through door you are transported back in time, the smell of amazing food the period furniture all ties in to make Mrs C's at truly nostalgic experience.
A browse of the menu and a slice of cake and cuppa tea was soon on the table and swiftly devoured.
I must admit I was tempted to ask if I could get a discount if I paid with nylons and some of those American cigarettes the yanks bring over while helping our good old boys winning the war.
With parking out side even ample enough even for my electric steed.
Keep it up Mrs C's
S. n. M.
I love this place mrs c is very friendly and welcoming I try to give my business too the smaller company on the high street instead of massive chains like costa and tbh glad I did or I'd never found places like mrs c tea room.
