The Japanese chicken burger is the best burger I can remember having. Couldn’t think of anything that would make the food better. Very busy place for good reason. Lovely interior design. The drinks were also 10/10

The cutest place with amazing food. We go here for breakfast or lunch and it's always absolutely delicious. Loads of cakes and pastries on show as well.

Lovely little place. Really good food with lots of veggie and vegan options.
The staff are fantastic, very attentive but not hovering over you.
Great and tasty food.
Recommended.

I highly recommend this lovely cafe - I had the falafel wrap and my friend had the dirty fries, both dishes tasted absolutely delicious and were presented beautifully too. We initially thought we'd share a bit of the homemade Victoria sponge but it was so nice we ordered another slice! I'll definitely be back :)

Outstanding food and service! Visited for breakfast and sat outside with the dog. French toast and Persian eggs was amazing! Thank you, keep the good work up!
T. M.
Absolutely fantastic. Everything, the decor, staff, service and food. One not to be missed. If you are wondering about eating here, wonder no longer, just do it. Just wish this place was more local for us.
R. H.
Lovely food, nice coffee, good service but a very long wait to get a table, which unfortunately the staff are unable to do anything about due to the sheer popularity of the place. Get in early for a table (or make a reservation if the offer that service!)
D. M.
Very relaxed and unpretentious atmosphere, good choice of dishes, not expensive and good standard of food and service. Very enjoyable and will return soon.

My son and his partner live round the corner …so this is our go to place for coffee and brunch
Consistently quality food attractively serviced by super friendly staff
Lovely place to sit outside too …reminds me of being on holiday …well done guys 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
S. H.
Love this place but it could do with better vegan options, especially with there being such a vegan scene in Sherwood. The vegan burger is not homemade which was really disappointing - the vegan desert 'sold out' every time!
N. S.
Really lovely cafe. The only issue is it is too good so you may have to wait for a table but don't let that put you off. The food is really good, tasty and reasonably priced. There is usually a number of specials available. Service is good, very attentive and friendly staff. Food and drinks came very quickly. Lovely decor inside and outside. Has outdoor seating which is lovely in warmer months.

Amazing full english breakfast. Quality ingredients. Great service. Take home baked goods are great too!
S. M.
Everything on the takeaway menu is great, and the new safe distancing set up is great. I had the falafel wrap (vegan option available) and a decadent brownie. I've been twice since to sit in. Brunch and Afternoon Tea. Both were fabulous.
J.
I love this place, definitely my favourite in Sherwood by far. Take all my friends here cannot recommend highly enough

A very brief stop for a drink and bite to eat. I've been here a few times now and always had a great experience. Friendly staff!
M. A.
Great food and drink in a pleasant and welcoming place. Staff are friendly and attentive. There is a good selection of food and drinks from fabulous cakes to full healthy meals. Vegi selection is good too with delicious salads. Definitely recommend.
Á. S.
Beautiful brunch and lovely dessert selection. The staff were so kind and the place was just beautiful...highly recommend!
A. B.
Arrived just before opening and was welcomed inside slightly early and given breakfast menu. Really good choices and some unusual items that made it feel a bit more interesting than other places. Coffee was good and slices of cake were really big. Got busy within 20mins of opening and had a nice family feel with people of all ages coming in for both food and drinks. Staff were welcoming and friendly with good service.
S. R.
Great food, drinks and staff. Always have a pleasant time here.

Amazing Breakfast this Saturday morning Great to see you open.
Back at my favourite place to eat. great food friendly staff. Thank you
D. H.
Quality of food is top drawer, breakfast is perfect. Nice staff too, its not cheap but you definitely get what you pay for.
S. H.
Excellent crockery! Great portions (I had the daily special soup which was Thai spiced sweet potato, carrot and coriander and it was DELICIOUS, not too spicy at all) friendly staff, great atmosphere. Would go back again!

Loved my visit to the crimson tree... been meaning to try this place for ages but finally stopped and very glad I did!
Super cosy and quirky, lovely staff and delicious food! Will absolutely return next year 😊 @laurasally_sw

Friendly service and fantastic food, has been consistently good through multiple visits over the years.

Tofu salad, gluten free, really tasty, lots of interesting ,varied colourful vegetables, pomegranate and herbs.

Pleasant atmosphere and very friendly staff, good food

Not been for a while, but enjoyed the relaxed atmosphere 😊 & delicious food .

Really nice homemade food, leaf tea too which haven't had for ages. Proper tasty.
A. B.
Real nice coffee and food. Lovely staff. Only negative is that closes quite early sometimes.
B. P.
There is only on street parking that is near by. Wheelchair access would be limited and could be difficult. It is a lovely atmosphere and rustic look inside. The staff are all very nice and helpful. The food is extremely tasty and there's something to suit most people on the menu. However, the prices are rather high but you get quality.
G. H.
Very cute place for a spot of lunch, has homemade cakes and treats. nice decor but little overpriced for lunch menu, however big portions.
A. M.
A superb coffee shop and restaurant. Fabulous original decor and beautiful teapots and cups to complement a wide range of teas and coffee options. There are also great cakes, multiple breakfast options until 1pm, and tapas choices after 5. Lots of veggie (and even vegan options. If it interests you, the restaurant is even on a pokestop!
K. J.
came here just for a cuppa tea but the food looked good so had a vegetable platter as a 'snack' followed by a freshly cooked scone it was delicious and was very full after. I look forward to returning for a meal :)
L. C.
I've been coming here for a couple of years now, I really loved their meat breakfast and it was the reason I kept returning. Since lockdown I feel that the breakfast has been changed, the bacons not as good/tasty, portion size is smaller, no potatoes, the sausages were anemic and I know its picky but the homemade beans aren't very nice. Just give me a tin of beans and I'm happy. I also can't stand when toast is barely toasted and buttered for me and then chucked under my eggs to go sloppy, again something which has changed since last time. I don't think I even got the choice of what bread I wanted. . I'm not 100% sure either but the breakfast used to be £10 but now its £12 for less/worse ingredients. I really love coming here and I hope the review is read how its meant to and hasn't offended the owners but I just feel like Crimson tree is one of the best on Mansfield Road but I really think its losing its shine.
J. L.
The scones are something else ! The best I have ever tasted and I’ve had a lot over the years. Must be a secret ingredient - I always order 2 as one isn’t enough. They are served warm which makes them crispy on the outside and soft within. All the food is great and the ambiance is classy and tasteful Service is excellent with warm and friendly staff who can’t do enough to make your experience memorable. Parking is on the road outside and I always get a space. Looking forward to the re opening in April 🤩
F. B.
Nice, was very busy when we visited, and it took them 15 minutes to show us to a table (which was already empty when we arrived) so service wasn't the quickest. Nice veggie and vegan options so will go again.
A. C.
I’ve had many a good stop at the Crimson Tree, whether stopping for breakfast, coffee and cake, or a meal, it’s always delicious and good value for what you’re getting.
It’s a nice environment to sit and enjoy for a while.
C. H.
The staff were so friendly and really felt welcomed!! Can't wait to come back
K. B.
Great menu and lovely decor.
You can have a window seat and people-watch.
A. H.
I love the new poke bowls, sooo delicious 😋 Lovely Staff, who took special care of my 2 year old friend.
Loved being back, so pleased you're open again ( Ate my food too quickly to get a picture 📷)
S. R.
What a cute lovely place. The decor is second to none.
Food and atmosphere is brilliant.
We arrived at a busy time, although the staff were very busy still so lovely and had made time for us.
Had the Persian eggs Yum!
Looking forward to going back for some cakes.
S. K.
A lovely clean and friendly cafe, busy yet cosy atmosphere. Breakfast was very good.
F. K.
Very enjoyable visit. Food and service excellent in pleasant upmarket ambience.
N. B.
Good food, tasty but a bit pricier than I expected
S. S.
First visit for me, food excellence prices reasonable. Outside seating lovely, a quaint place. Vegan food available too.
H. J.
What can I say about this place that hasn’t already been said?
Quality, delicious, hearty, soul food.
Quaint, vibrant and addictive atmosphere.
Lovely, bubbly and attentive staff.
Reasonably priced.
I just couldn’t fault it, even if I wanted to!
Crimson tree have set up a fabulous takeaway systems amidst lockdown and have handled it superbly. They are very active on social media and you can see everything as it’s updated and all the latest treats and meals you can get taken away!
Thank you for continuing to bring us joy and food heaven whilst the world is at a stand still.

We came on Friday evening (08/03/19) and it was one of the best meals I've ever had! Not to mention how friendly and accommodating all the staff were, I felt so welcomed. The food was just simply amazing, I would go into detail but we ordered a few dishes of tapas, the duck legs and falafel were to die for, even the complimentary bread and dip was delicious! 10/10 would recommend but definitely book as it gets busy. Amazing.
Z.
Fantastic location, beautiful decor and attentive, polite and friendly staff. Not to mention the delicious Chai Latte - must try!
L. M.
We had tapas delivery from the Crimson Tree for the first time last night and it was AMAZING! Really great variety of dishes and everything we chose was absolutely delicious, plus an absolute bonus to be able to get it delivered! We will definitely be ordering again, thank you Crimson Tree!!
J. M.
I love this place. Food is delicious and the service is fantastic
B. B.
Great food, lovely atmosphere, definitely coming back
M. B.
Really nice place to have breakfast and hang out. The service is very efficient and friendly, even at busy times. Good choice of breakfasts too. We turned up at a busy time but were seated straight away. There's a really nice buzz about the place, and the decor is very hip and trendy. I can recommend the Persian vegetarian breakfast. Who'd have thought feta cheese goes so well with eggs. I ordered tea as well, and got a huge China teapot with a nice little China cup. Lots of really nice little touches like that to make it a special place to dine out. It's not the cheapest place but it's not overly-priced considering the quality and experience. The one thing that I feel could be improved is offering the style of egg with the big breakfasts. It comes with fried eggs but I think considering the price, it would be nice to have a choice.
A. M.
I had a breakfast here today with my friends. It was amazing. delicious food, friendly staff and beautiful place. we will definetley back soon.
K. M.
Always a great atmosphere, really friendly staff and great food
E.
The Crimson tree in not the cheapest place to eat in Sherwood ( that is not too say is is expensive) but in my opinion it is one of the best. There are fewer and fewer places especially since lockdown that are worth the prices they charge. This place is most definitely worth visiting.
A. M.
The staff are very friendly and welcoming which adds to the cosy and homely atmosphere of the venue.
Breakfast has been good any time I’ve visited and they always have a nice selection of cakes and pastries available. Cant say the coffee is anything special but I don’t think anyone is visiting solely for the coffee.
J. B.
Visited 14th February 2020 when we arrived the place was already really busy and we had two parties already in front of us. It was not a long wait and we were asked if we did not mind sitting up at the bar but was nicely warned that the door when opening and shutting may cause a draft. My friend and I were not bothered as we were both wrapped up. Overall the place is nicely decorated and the ambience they have created a nice place to sit. However, the food which was the reason for our visit my treat for my friend’s birthday not so good. I chose Rarebit yes I knew what it was by the menu, my friend chose the quiche of the day. Both arrived after ordering a nice hot coffee. Straight away visually I was disappointed presentation was not really looking good and as the price was £8.25 in my opinion not good on value for money. My friends was £9.50 for a slice of quiche her feedback was that she quite enjoyed it so I was happy as it was my treat. We both decided to have a sweet treat and when I saw my measley slice £2.95 I was straight away disappointed mind you when I saw the price of my friends slice of cake £4.50 well words failed me. I have been in vegetarian/vegan restaurants so many times and a slice of cake has never been this. It’s almost on London prices. So will I visit again no probably not the price is so off putting for what little you get. I liked the decor and the staff were very nice but the food let it down quality, portion size and price.

Wonderful little find, great food and drinks on wonderful surroundings, great to have this treasure in our area
J. H.
We had tapas here on a quiet, rainy Sunday night. It was excellent. Great value for money. Staff seem to dedicated to the whole ethos of the place. We enjoyed one dish so much and were cheeky and the chef gave us the recipe. If you enjoy independent restaurants who have passion I would visit here. It's a real gem in the centre of Sherwood.
K. M.
Great, quirky place for lunch. Coffee was good and the food was delicious. Brilliant for alternative diets.
N. P.
Really good coffee. Slippery cups though, spilt a fair bit on the saucer. Delicious cakes, loads of vegan & gf options available. Didn't try the main menu but will return. Attentive staff, friendly. Really nice decor, bright and airy.
L. M.
Went for lunch with a friend. The service was good and staff very friendly. Only had a coffee and chips in the end, so can't really comment about the food to much.
J. K.
Thoroughly recommend if you're in the area.
Food and Drink was all of excellent quality, Service prompt, Speed from order to food on the table impressive for freshly cooked food on a reasonably busy day and the Wait-staff very pleasant.
Overall great experience, would be very happy to visit again.
If you're going in for a breakfast, be aware there's no option to make upgrades/or replacements when ordering a cooked breakfast; unfortunately that's something I've come to expect from eating at other local café's — only reason I didn't feel able to give a full ★★★★★ rating.
A. L.
Service was second to none! I had to find somewhere to feed my baby in Sherwood and entertain my toddler while doing so. The other cafes were too busy and not big enough for a pushchair. Lovely staff here held open the door, were absolutely fine with me just coming in to feed, and found me a table with good privacy, brought over a high chair and made sure I had everything I needed. They offered to take my order asap and brought things promptly. Lovely babychino and delicious good sized brownie!! AND a super spacious bathroom big enough for potty-training toddlers and mums. Thank you for making a potentially stressful situation a complete breeze!! Appreciate that you are a breastfeeding-friendly cafe.
C. L.
Gorgeous neighbourhood cafe serving fantastic food, cakes and coffee. Staff really helpful with people needing gluten free options and unlike other local places always plenty of choice for people with dietary needs.
H. O.
Excellent service and food was great quality but not as much choice on the menu as I expected.
E. G.
Lovely menu and nice atmosphere. I do like it here. Very much.
K. R.
Cute place, really friendly staff. I ordered a regular hot chocolate with cream and marshmallows. After eating the cream I saw that the cup was full less than half way. I was a bit disappointed as the drinks arent cheap. It would have been more accurately sold as squirty cream with a dash of hot chocolate. My friend ate, food looked nice but very overpriced.
j. C.
Food was lovely.Staff all good.
L. W.
Great food, great service you my wait for a table but worth it
K. L.
Pleasant atmosphere when I went for brunch early on a Sunday afternoon to recover from a hangover. The staff are friendly and the food was pretty good, with a varied menu. I tried the garlic roast chicken and avocado sandwich on granary bread that came with with 2 small side salads. It was attractively presented and very tasty. Our group all agreed it was a little on the pricey side but no more than I'd expect to pay at a similar café elsewhere. Note that they allow dogs - my friends took theirs and another group had a small well behaved spaniel with them too.
M. T.
Love this place. Been many times. Quaint, but unpretentious. The salads are amazing and imaginative e.g. there's lots of flavours on your plate and they all work beautifully together. The cakes, in my honest opinion as I've eaten many cakes, are the best you'll taste anywhere in Nottingham and quite possibly England!
M. C.
Nice enough place, very busy when we arrived, got a table straight away. Had coffee and bacon sandwich on sour dough bread., my wife had scrambled egg. It was very nice food and service was excellent. Would definitely visit again.
K. S.
Great place, quirky eclectic decor, lovely friendly staff, and to top it all the food is exceptional. Cheese scones with exactly the right amount of mustard!! Decaf coffee that tastes like real coffee!!! Will be back
G. H.
Awesome place. Great for breakfast. Had great loose leaf tea (could be hotter) and a special 'big breakfast' which lived up to its name and surprised with its quality. Looking forward to trying dinner and their marvellous looking scones another time 👍👍👍
L. S.
I have visited here before and really liked it. Seemed this time different staff they didn't seem too happy. Food was not as nice as before, its the small things I had a sandwich on brown bread it was standard bread. Yes I should have asked I just assumed it would be a nice rustic brown. No side garnish not what I expected as before I really liked it.
c.
Just had a family meal for 12 there. The food was excellent, service friendly and efficient but when we came to pay there was a discrepancy with the bill, either one member of the party didn't pay their way or the restaurant claimed there wasn't enough money down. Unfortunately this is hard to prove as 3 people paid by card and no-one checked the amount of money left. There should have almost been a £20 tip yet it was short by about this amount.
Guess we'll never know who ate for free or if we were over charged. Food & service good, just hope this isn't a reacurring theme......
B. S.
Very well done. I didn't know this place existed but it looked interesting. It was very busy when we arrived but we didn't need to wait and the food arrived very quickly. Great sandwiches, lots of very fresh good quality ingredients, and coffee was interesting.
S. D.
The dirty fries, the pistachio cake, the staff, and they allow Poms in
B. D.
Great food, good hearty portions. Vibrant warm friendly atmosphere, lovely attentive staff. Service was brill. Felt very welcome. Cakes are freshly made and yummy. My breakfast was scrummmy. Will definately be back when in the area.
E. H.
Lovely atmosphere, great staff and a good selection of quality menu items skewed towards breakfast and lunch. Fresh bread every day too. I'd recommend the feta and truffle oil scrambled eggs!
L. M.
Can't rate this beautiful establishment enough. Brilliant deco. Very friendly and welcoming staff. My four year old son kept showing the staff his new bear and they where just so friendly and welcoming. Want to go back for a cocktail!
L. C.
Have been for lunch a few times. The decor is lovely and there is always a good atmosphere. The food is really good quality and having been there twice for an evening meal, enjoying great tapas, I would highly recommend. We have also been really impressed by the staff who are really friendly and attentive.
p. m.
Really liked it here! The food was great, there was a bit of a wait time but worth the wait! We had an issue with some items but the staff was super friendly and got everything replaced quickly. The décor was really bright and fun which was lovely
M. H.
Been a few times and always great. Good coffee, a few beers available and tasty lunch and cakes. Oh and they're dog-friendly, they even have a water bowl outside if you're just passing by.
E. M.
Enjoyed some lovely tapas here with live music on a Weds night. The atmosphere is fun and comfortable and staff seem genuinely friendly and helpful. The tapas wasn't superior to a Spanish restaurant but it was tasty, varied and well presented.
P. P.
Nice clean place.
Not a pub just a nice friendly bar with food.
The staff are more than helpful worldstar.
The food was on point no complaints from us two.
Price. what would you pay for a nice meal that you didn't or cannot cook letting someone else wash up
Give yourself four stars

Great place to eat tapas. Friendly staff
L. B.
Lovely relaxing lunch enjoyed outside. Fabulous food, great service, good value for money.

Came here for morning coffee on a weekday. Really nice coffee, lovely airy interior and great service. Will come back soon!
J. D.
A lovely spot for brunch. Staff are very welcoming and warm towards their customers, even when it's extremely busy. Great menu to choose from, and the decor is really nice.
R. V.
This place has a lovely atmosphere and, overall, the food is good.
However, I found the sourdough bread slices to be way too thick. An inch thick roughly and with the crust being like iron, I had to tip my poached eggs off and force them apart with a knife and fingers in order to eat them.
Also, heads up for those of you with an intolerance to cow's milk - they charge you 50p more/cup! Not only is this daylight robbery, it's not particularly inclusive. I appreciate that oat milk is a little more expensive than cow's, maybe charge 10p more or just absorb the extra cost by putting a few pence on other things for goodness sake. I felt penalised for something I have no control over. Nowhere else has charged me extra - shame on you Crimson Tree, this customer will now think twice before going again! (If I do I'll be sure to bring my own milk.)
K. C.
Gorgeous home made food and reasonably priced. Had to wait about 15 mins for a table but that just shows you how popular it is. Lovely atmosphere and wonderful cakes!!!! Licensed too.
J. F.
It gets busy but worth waiting for reasonably priced lunches and really good cakes; I'm particularly fond of the lime and pistachio with an Americano. All the staff are helpful and friendly so what's not to like !
C.
Food is delicious, the cafe is lovely, staff are always friendly despite how busy it is. Can't fault this place, I've been several times and I'm never let down, great standards.
J. C.
Fantastic breakfast in a lovely environment.
M. H.
As delicious as it is beautiful. Stopped off for a reviving cup of tea after a somewhat harrowing hospital visit and came out smiling and very well fed. The tapas is beautifully presented and tastes as good as it looks. The calamari was perfectly cooked in a crunchy batter. The tempura prawns were hot and tasty, the kofta were lightly spiced for my taste, but that's not a criticism, I like them to turn into boxer shorts and try to rip my throat out (apologies to those who aren't red dwarf fans). The highlight was the Vietnamese pork wraps. Just a brilliant collection of flavours. The price was reasonable, a little over £30 for two meals with drinks. If you're in the area, come and try this place out!
P. D.
Really fresh crunchy salads, divine Quiches with superb pastry and the best really melt-in-your mouth blueberry & almond slice I have ever eaten: all made in house. Sadly the pastry cook is already married, as I asked hoping to upgrade! Take cash as it's the only way you can leave a tip and you will certainly want to as it's excellent value as well.
T. S.
Great atmosphere, very friendly staff. Busy and popular. Food is tremendous and excellent quality. Do try the burgers - a challenge to finish the meal. An enjoyable experience and ambience all round.
K. T.
Came upon this place by chance, best move ever. Great staff I mean great, cosy atmosphere just like sitting at home but better. A great choice of food, simple menu that was perfectly cooked and tasted great... We'll be back!!
M. H.
Once again, this place doesn't fail to impress. Dropped in for a breakfast after a long drive south. The full breakfast definitely sets you up for the day. Their food is always tasty, beautifully presented and perfectly cooked.
J. B.
We had our Christmas dinner today. The staff were amazing. The atmosphere was great. Lots of chatter. It had a really nice vibe. The food was delicious. Thanks for a lovely day. 🍜.
J. W.
Love Crimson Tree! Best place to go for food and coffee in Sherwood. Quirky interior and really nice atmosphere, staff are really friendly and helpful. The food is excellent, especially the quiche and side salads. The cakes are always hard to resist aswell.
J. S.
Excellent food and service, very well recommended.
L. P.
The Crimson Tree has a lovely atmosphere and decor. The staff were friendly and helpful. However, I was very disappointed by the one overpriced vegan lunch option on offer. I really expected much better considering more and more people are becoming vegan and even my local pub in the wilds of Leicestershire is catering for vegans. The vegan "burger" was predominantly garlic flavour and a sloppy mess, impossible to eat in the bun with your hands. Come on Crimson Tree, you must be able to do better than this!
D. O.
Had the chicken burger and chips earlier today. The chicken was so tasty and the chips were excellent too. Girlfriend had the roasted red pepper soup and that was delicious. Some amazing looking cakes on display.
S. “. W.
Great food, very friendly service!
S. C.
Cannot fault this place! The best in Sherwood by a country mile! Cakes to die for, food made to perfection and wonderful, friendly service. We visit frequently and have brought visitors here too, always a hit. Will be back for the Lime and pistachio cake!
R. P.
Nice food, good coffee, good staff, friendly, noisy location road and crossing when seated outside.
J. L.
Very hectic on a Saturday afternoon, tables too close together. Staff friendly but chaotic and uncoordinated. Our cake didn't arrive but they were apologetic. Chai latte overly sweet. We were overcharged £1 for the cake but didn't query it as we wanted to get out of there by that point.
A. M.
Not visited this establishment before. Booked a table for to have food. Very busy and due to the acoustics of the room it was noisy and hard to have a conversation. There was live music which was a real treat as was not expecting it. Disappointed with the service as we ordered a platter to start, no issues there but then 2 plates each for our main. One member of our group waited over 30 minutes after the rest of us had eaten at least 1 plate of food. When I asked the waitress where my friends food would be out she explained how tapas worked which was not what I asked. It took another 10 minutes for her food to arrive.. There was still 1dish left to be brought to our table, broccoli stems which we cancelled as the rest of the group had finished all of their courses and it seemed pointless. If you order the hot chocolate do not have the whipped cream or marshmallows as they're another 50p each on top of the £2.50ish price. Also ask for it to be hot! Overall disappointed with how long it took for food to come, the cost and due to the acoustic of the building not being able to talk. On the plus side the music was good and the decor was really different and quirky in a good way.
E. T.
Fabulous, Quirky and very well run establishment!!!
Really good value for money.
Food is excellent , served by very friendly , very obliging staff .
Would highly recommend this place to take close friends and family.
Looking forward to our next feast!!!!

Beautiful, quaint restaurant, very popular and beautiful food
D. M.
I recently visited the crimson tree for lunch, it's a lovely quirky place with a nice atmosphere and the staff were very friendly. I had a cappuccino and chorizo stuffed chicken breast with salad followed by lemon and raspberry cake, all were freshly made and thoroughly enjoyable. I would certainly visit again, highly recommended.
L. L.
Amazing place to eat great quality food and lovely surroundings
C. H.
Lovely place, delightful decor. Extremely lovely and accommodating staff. The food though was extremely carb heavy, not ideal for a type 1 diabetic. Many hidden carbs.
J. C.
Really loved it here good coffee if you're a coffee drinker. Food tasted good, all looked freshly baked. The staff was very helpful and service was excellent. Definitely go back again.
T. R.
Fabulous lunch , fantastic friendly service.
Would recommend to anyone.
Will be back again.

Excellent food, not crammed with too many tables so can move around. Friendly staff. Decorated with fairy lights and floral arrangements

Superb lunch and evening meal.Freshly cooked and delicious varied menu.Friendly, attentive and knowledgeable staff.Local independent business. Bottles of tap water delivered direct to table & loose leaf tea.2 signs of a good eatery

Good place for eating fresh homemade scones Yum Yum
S. H.
Great food. Loads of veggie and vegan options as well as meat/fish. Best falafel I've ever eaten. Would 100% slide into obesity if this was near my house.
L. R.
Finally visited here today and so glad we did. The decor is so bright and cosy, the cakes being baked as you eat is such a nice touch! We were greeted by the friendliest lady, ordered the croque monsieur and skinny fries which was delicious. The chai latte was hands down the best I have had in Nottingham, so hard to get right and slightly sweeter than usual but I’d go back for this alone!
We were very full but couldn’t resist taking home a brownie which we had with a cuppa. Exactly how a brownie should be, so gooey and chocolatey. We’ll be back!!
D. M.
Had breakfast here this morning. Persian eggs. Lovely. Bit pricey but great food, coffee and atmosphere .....and the staff were amazing. Really polite, helpful and quick to serve and clear
j. m.
I bought my sissy a gift voucher for Christmas she decided to use it today and treat us to a warm Scone with clotted cream and fresh raspberry jam and a large cappuccino . .. was totally beautiful, we took her grandson Kai who is 8 months old he sat beautifully in a high chair that was provided, staff are always friendly and happy, such a busy little place where everyone seems to be enjoying each other company a lovely atmospherical place that I would recommend for sure never tasted such beautiful scones ever x😘
We have been a few times and it's always been the same really nice.
Toilets only 1 and that is baby changing too so queue firms quickly.
P. M. H.

Great food, nice staff. Owner seems to be taking over the area with another cafe opposite and the gift shop just up the road. . . 🍰🎂🥞🍹🍸🍷☕

I went to the Crimson Tree with 2 friends this morning at 10am, it was already starting to get busy but we got a table. The decor is lovelt, eclectic and in decoration and there are tables outside too. The lady that served us was quick to come and say hello and ask for our order but not in a rushed way. We had teacakes, scones and pots of tea, which was loose leaf and enjoyed all of it! One thing I noticed was that even though it was getting really busy we were asked whether our teapots needed a top up with hot water. You can also pay with card. This was my first visit there and would definitely go back, thank you CrimsonTree for making our catch up a lovely experience 😀
P. B.
Very popular and with good reason. The staff are friendly and the food is excellent.
You may have to wait for a table at peak times in the day but well worth it!
