R. E.Came in in the afternoon. The cafe was nearly empty. We had scones with clotted cream and jam. Tasted excellent. Staff was very friendly. We enjoyed our short rest here!
T. S.Breakfast (bacon, egg, sausage, beans, tomato, mushrooms, toast) was surprisingly high quality given the low price. I was expecting 5% meat sausages and bacon that you could see through but was pleasantly surprised with seemingly high quality ingredients.
It loses two stars, however, for the incredibly surly staff. Talk about service with a scowl. Not only that, but I asked for the water jug to be refilled so I could have a drink and had to wait until I'd finished my meal for it to be attended to and not by the person I had asked.
D. B.Top place for breakfast, I've been coming every week for months and the food and drinks are consistently at a high standard. Lovely staff who are always polite and helpful. I've been round all of Oxford and I can safely say that this is the best place for a cooked breakfast. Highly recommend!!
M. E.Had the chicken tikka paratha with chips and salad. Food was cooked fresh and was tasty. Salad was very simple and the chips were no doubt frozen but for £6.50 in the covered market you cant really complain. This place is good value for money and a comfortable 3 stars.
