Reviews of Stibbington Diner

My mate and I visited the Diner whilst checking out the classic cars and bikes which meet there on fortnightly Sunday mornings (search Facebook for details). We had nice mugs of really hot filtered coffee and excellent breakfast rolls cooked to order; so much nicer than from multinational fast food chains. Will definitely be visiting again!

Well the place hasnt really changed since I was last in about 5 years ago except the prices of the meals have gone up a lot but you do get a very nice dinners here. I had burger and chips my wife had the light breakfast. A tuna sandwich and chips for the kids with drinks came to £26.. My opinion a little steep that's why I only gave 4 stars. But I really can't fault the place otherwise....
K. C.
Stopped off for lunch with little one. Just before lunchtime and was quiet. Served quickly. Food tasty. Toilets are for customers only.
K. A.
Absolutely loved it. My boys were thrilled for the first being in the diner. And they enjoyed the food so much. They also thanked the waiter at the front. It's nice and the cashier was patient with 4 little kids. Clean toilets and comfortable seats. ♥️
First time we been in the diner. And it's very nice time
K. D.
Really nice place if you need to have a break from driving nice friendly staff and didn't have to wait to long for my food and drink
L. R.
Good cafe, clean and tidy, good food. Handy as just off A1, Nene Valley Railway nearby, also walks by the river.
S. B.
Brilliant original service stop, excellent coffee and freshly cooked food. Staff are friendly, and happy to help.
These guys offer over night parking for trucks and any others vehicles at a charge of £20 per night.
M. H.
Decent truck stop sort of diner. Range of meals from simple butties to full blown English breakfast & meals with everything on it :)
Eat in or takeaway.
D. H.
Found this by chance and would return again if travelling that way again. The food was freshly cooked with quality ingredients and the toilet facilities were clean. This is a basic diet but was busy.
D. S.
Super cute place if you're looking for something not very "MacDonald style".

Great food, I had a mix grill with coffe or tea included in price , a £3 discount voucher after paying for parking . Overall cheap parking great food and not expensive I prefer Stibbington parking rather Peterborough services were parking is expensive every time full and no food voucher
P. F.
the receipt claimed that the apple pie was free but the custard cost £3.50 which I thought was funny. Also the biggest plate of gammon I have ever seen.
M. L.
Primeraly a transport cafe. But other road users welcome. Very good basic food. It must be good or lorry drivers wouldn't visit it. I know use to stay over night there when I in road haulage business.
N. F.
Its a proper cafe and truck stop in the true sense.
I had a cheese burger and coffee, both of which were exactly to my satsfaction. There is plenty of parking, and the toilets and baby change are really clean.
They cater for takeaway or eat in the dining room.
It was a lovely discovery and the staff were friendly and welcoming. If you tell them that Niall sent you, the would not have a clue who you are talking about :-) give them a vist :-)
P. E.
Stopped in today on a long drive for a coffee, toilet and rest break I found the products to be over priced and poor quality food and coffee. The toilets however were clean but I wish I had gone to Peterborough services instead.
P.
Ok
Went today and much better
D. H.
Get there early hgv park fills quick .basic food cooked to order reasonable prices clean and tidy
J. A.
Plain and simple food cooked well, a clean and airy dining area.
B. A.
Not the best parking but is cheap parking and great food value, excellent staff and clean toilet and shower
I. D.
Did not eat or go in just stopped for a quick break in car park. Deffo looks like it could be from the movie "from dusk till dawn"
D. M.
Nice staff, friendly atmosphere and a quick place to stop for a breakfast whilst in a road trip. Biker friendly too.
S. H.
Friendly staff, good, clean and honest value - food cooked to order - FANTASTIC
B. C.
Great food superb quality service and value
S. B.
A traditional truck stop offering good traditional grub. And a thank you to the young lady who gave my 3 year old an Almond cake
S. B.
Great place to stop on the A1, the staff are friendly and inviting. Very, very clean and tidy, with ample parking. Only had a latte on this stop but it really was exceptional.
S. F.
1st time I've been here and must say it was amazing cafe is very clean staff are very helpful and the foods spot on
c. t.
Alway good breakfast ..night or day ..perfect stop ..good service
J. F.
A bit of a blast from the past. Many years ago the A1 was lined with these cafés, but sadly now pretty much a thing of the past which is a shame as the food is excellent and parking easy. Credit due to them, keep it up please. An oasis on a long journey.
D. B.
My favourite place to go for a breakfast..... It is my birthday today and it was asked where I wanted to go for breakfast and this was an easy choice for me! ... It is exactly what you would expect from a cafe, the staff are very welcoming and friendly, the food is great... Highly recommend if you like proper cafe grub .....
S. I.
Very friendly people food is cooked perfect 👌
M. G.
Been coming for over 35 years and a good old fashioned tradition cafe.
А. S.
Breakfast here is always very tasty and I always eat it with pleasure.
Thanks 😊
D. B.
Pleasantly surprised at this stop. Friendly service and excellent filter coffee! Don't go by the looks. It's better than services.
P. H.
Great fry-up and mugs of tea. I thought I remembered great fruit cake on previous visits but nothing on offer apart from the fry-ups. It might have changed hands since my last visit.
A. M.
Old fashioned diner, no fuel available. Nice and quiet.
m. m.
Amazing food, friendly staff, clean and tidy
D. H.
A friendly warm welcome awaits, breakfast OK but a little pricey to be honest... Thank you team stibbibgton
D. O.
A lovely welcome from the ladies and a really nice full English breakfast.
B. R.
Stopped en route home from a long journey as needed a cuppa and toilet break. Wanted an ordinary sandwich with cheese and tomato but told gruffly no salad! Bought a scone and treacle tart instead plus the cuppa - think had I wanted Fry ups or similar it might have been better
S. B.
Nice lorry Park and great food.
It does get full early doors otherwise u tend to park outside
A bit pot holy but not as bad as Kate cabin a few miles down the road .
Showers and toilets clean so its a 4 star 4 me
L. H.
Staff are very friendly unfortunately food is like most truck stops not the best quality but I must say was better than most that I have been to the parking area is quite bad as has lots of holes so you have to avoid the puddles and it's muddy when wet and I expect when it's dry it's very dusty but apart from that I would definitely park there again as a very quiet site no fridges are allowed to run after 8pm
W. G.
Been to this Diner a few times, The Mega breakfast is Absolutely lovely, Definitely reccomend 👍👍👍
H. A.
Good food at good prices, clean, friendly staff, would be 5 star if there were a few benches to sit at with your food outside, there is a nice grassed area though to sit on. You can eat inside but not with your fur family sadly!
J. W.
Food expensive for what was basic meals. Had the gammon egg n chips for nearly £10 but weatherspoons does same for £5.99. Parking area too muddy in wet weather. At least security guard overnight. "Must do better"
T. S.
Great freshly cooked Traditional English Breakfast - especially golden, crispy fried 🍞 bread.
Partner had excellent Free Range Poached Eggs on Toast
L. C.
Always loved this place. Took my wife there on one of our first meals out 10 years ago. At first she was shocked, but was won over by the cleanliness and characters you meet there. Despite many changes of owner and staff its charm is indefatigable .
R. M. D.
Good food and reasonably priced from what I remember 3½ years ago However if you are busting for the loo and in need of a coffee on a Saturday night, forget it as they close at 2pm on a Saturday.....
D. D. Z.
If you are travelling up or down the Great North Road (A1) you must stop at the Stibbington Diner. Quality food cooked to order and plenty of it. Stop once and I'm sure you'll make it your number one stop off point in the future.
i. g.
Much improved since my first visit a couple of years ago.
J.
Mainly lorry drivers use this place. Good place to have a break, have a cup of tea. You can get a cooked breakfast too.
The assistant was very polite and pleasant to talk to.
C. T.
The STIBBY DINER is a local legend. Had a fantastic breakfast as always.
F. M.
Very good and clean.. gotta say I've never been to one of them service. Needed an emergency stop.. pretty quiet but I was. Impressed.
w. t.
Great breakfast cooked to order reasonable prices
s. w.
Little more expensive but a good alternative to the usual service stations
V. G.
Kind people, nice meals, reasonable prices, clean restroom. Coffee could be improved.
G. V.
Typical Truck stop, excellent quality food and very reasonable price
S. D.
Friendly staff. Lovely food. I recommend the sausage and bacon toastie.
Great cuppa.
S. P.
1st time of stopping here.
Will most definitely be back.
Lovely home cooked food especially the liver and onions in gravy....delicious food thanks guys hope to see you soon x
B. K.
Old school at its best ...give it a go ..relive your youth !!
E. D.
Great cafe with great prices. Yes there is a lorry parking area here, but get over yourself.
The value offered here far exceeds the trucks.
Tea at £1 per mug! Fabulous value, and coffee from £1.5 again great. Then comes the food all freshly cooked by the grill chef and served up hot.
A wonderful find and highly recommended 👍
H. R.
A1 services no fuel. Diner with large car park
T. P.
They have been providing an excellent all-day veggie breakfast for many years, we'd go nowhere else along this stretch of the A1
C. P.
Need a seated area for people with dogs
L. C.
Good pleace for eating.
M. P.
Great traditional roadside Cafe / Restaurant. No airs and graces but clean, and serving good honest food. They not only do traditional breakfast fayre but a full range of home cooked meals and desserts. I wish more of these places had survived - so much better than the chains, and more deserving of your money.
K. R.
This place has one of the BEST disabled loos whilst in transit. It’s big enough to manoeuvre my wheelchair, spotlessly clean and the red cord actually reaches the ground.
And then my hubby had bought me a coffee and it actually has coffee in it....you’d be surprised how many places don’t know how to make coffee. The only downside I can think of is the food smelled AMAZING but we didn’t have time to stop.
O. S.
Usually excellent food served. However with the corona virus as with so many businesses came changes. At least the truck parking is always available. Nice quiet night sleep Saturday night
j. t.
Menu has been cut right down. Food is good not expensive but not a lot of choice. No salads or roast dinners
r.
A good old-fashioned greasy spoon with lots of other facilities and a very large car park. The food looked good and reasonably priced. A very pleasant change from modern day service station rip-offs. Just off the A1. use it!
S. W.
Not like the stibbington cafe of old. No 24hr cafes anymore. Foods reasonable and its very quiet when overnight parking. Free showers.
C. J.
Couple of puddles in the hgv park but not to worry theres loads of spaces nice clean toilets and welcoming staff in the cafe, they take cash or contactless plus if you ask they'll bust your egg for you. You never know if you keep an eye out you could see your uncle walk past too 😂. All jokes aside 100% recommended dont miss out on a excellent dinner.
S. M.
The truck park is in need of some work as as smooth as a stormy sea.
The Dinner is getting better will go again
M. S.
Not bad. But would like to see a few improvements. Showers are powerful, but nowhere to put your stuff except on a chair outside the cubicle. Which means that you have to leave the door open to keep an eye on it. Nowhere dry to stand either. Bring your flip-flops! Sinks are push button. Get wet really quickly and no one on duty to clean up. For what must be a thousand pounds a night in just parking income alone, I think this could be put in place.
On the up side, food was good and staff were friendly. Would stay here again.
M. O.
Early hours of the morning & the service was great. Nothing was too much trouble. Brilliant cheese on toast & unlimited tea fresh brewed. Friendly night staff & one of the best 'older' style of Truck Stops. 💯%.
P. B.
Excellent alternative to McDonalds for breakfast. Great food (they did forget our bread and butter though!) which is already well-priced, but currently offers even better value as they are particpating in the Eat Out to Help Out campaign.
R. D.
Never been before. Nice large dinner very large selection of food. The breakfast was very nice if not a little pricey to my regular breakfast eatery. But still nice and the rent could be quite dear where it is situated so may explain why. But 8.5 out of 10
s. h.
Friendly staff get there early as the food runs out quickly
D. D.
Nice quiet truck stop. Snap with a £3 food voucher or £18 for overnight. Toilets and showers clean. Food was nice, the spanish omelette was great. Large portion too. Yard a bit of a mess when wet, stone hard standing...Will definitely use this place again
C. J.
Warm friendly welcome, good food and tea. Tv and nice atmosphere. The only down side was the tables were dirty and we had to ask for the young lady at the till to wipe one for us. Other than that a perfect road side stop cafe.
Thank you
K. M.
Great place to stop for some proper diner/cafe food. Great portions at a great price. A hidden gem.
B. O.
Food great, service great the only thing I found that has dropped a couple of stars is.
A. There was no toilet paper in the cubicle I was in, only one had paper and that was occupied.
B. No soap in the dispensers.
C. The hand dryers don't really have enough power in them.
J. B.
These cafes are great for people who do not like the modern off road eating establishment. This one really good, food was great, it was clean tidy and warm and didn't cost an arm and a leg.
G. H.
Truck stop but plenty of room for cars at the front of the cafe. Plenty of choice. But a bit on the dear side for a cafe. However what we had was very nice. If you've got your washing gear in the car. There our facilities for a shower.
S. H.
Big selection of breakfasts. Great value for money. Very efficient service.
L. G.
Food is nice but yard is a mud bath to park your truck in other them that its ok
N. H.
Always excellent value - good food, and lots of it - to my mind the best cafe/stop on the road network I use. Those who go to the plethora of chain fast food and coffee outlets need to try Stibby and realise how much they're missing in one of the real gems that people bemoan the lack of in the UK.
M. G.
Very very good food. Ask for a Spanish omelette, the BEST, and I'm Spanish. I love the staff, grumpy as you expect, but really helpful. We been there every time we can, and we live 40 miles away
N.
Cheap and cheerful. Really friendly staff. One little thing is that the white bread for a bacon sarnie should be thick bread!!
Z. C.
Looking for somewhere to stop for dinner on the way home from a weekend away. Looked a bit grotty from the outside and we nearly didn't go in, but glad we did - staff were friendly and although the food wasn't cheap, it was really tasty and generous in quantity. Recommended if you're hungry on the A1!
P. O.
Helpful staff clean and tidy cafe great value for money good choice on the menu, just looking forward to calling again
M. W.
Never even knew this lovely little cafe was there!!! The food was delicious and proper size cups(mugs). Toilets were very clean, and the staff were so polite and helpful. We will be stopping there again
A. C.
Dusty parking area for trucks. Food good selection at a fair price. Showers not very private and water goes cold quickly as each burst is too long and hot tank gets emptied.
w. f.
Great little stop off, for long journey.
S. K.
Nice friendly staff, food was cooked fresh and whilst not mind-blowing was good value for money. Some bloke had left the toilets in a right state but that is not the owners fault until they are informed. I reckon their breakfasts are the business though
C. B. (.
Food was good, cooked well bit pricey for what you got.
L. J.
Good stop off when needed on the A1. Good parking and staff.
I really enjoyed the breakfast I had.
R. Y.
One of the few remaining traditional transport cafés. It's still thriving because it continues to deliver what customers need / want. A good range of freshly prepared meals / snacks, at a reasonable price. We just can't drive by. Beats the motorway services chains hands down.
N. S.
Old school diner and truck stop located just off the A1. It is convenient. It has toliets. Had a breakfast there. Food was cooked well. Hot and tasty and great value for the amount paid. Very friendly lady on till taking orders. Can pay using debit card/contactless. Building is dated and toliets could do with a refurbish, no soap in dispensers and hand dryers are pretty useless as mentioned in other reviews.
D. W.
Used to come here. Then they started scrimping. Especially with the extra 2 slices toast/bread that is meant to come with a mega breakfast; they simply stopped giving it out with the meal. This kind of cheapness has alienated me as a customer. At least ask. It's the principle. If you think your customers are so thick that they can't read the menu, you're wrong, we're truckers not invalids.
a. l.
It's a transport cafe so much as you would expect it to be. The cups were cracked but the food was ok. No frills but the young man who brought us our food was lovely and helpful which made up for the rather tatty cups ! Not the most sumptuous surroundings but it is what it is !
M. R.
Grand cup of tea nice & warm, clean toilets. Pay as you go drink dispenser wasn't working properly, got my water thanks to the guy behind the counter. Good place to stop for a fryup
A. F.
Food was lovely, steak cooked to perfection, really nice staff. Will be back
B. W.
I've been visiting this place for a lot of years now and l personally recommend you try it. The food is superb and the service is absolutely fantastic. The next time your on the A1 look for signs saying Stibbington and Stibbington Airport. You wont regret it
D. J.
Coffee is much than those multinational overpriced service stations. Which rip people of at every chance they can. Well done Stibbington long may you reign.
M. S.
Small cafe but perfect for a stop over. We had a good breakfast/lunch and topped up the baby with milk before continuing our journey. A good slice of fried bread and life.
R. B.
Good food
Not typical a1 services prices
Clean
Good rest area
H. B.
We visited on our way to London, we asked for just a plain sandwich, but the assistant made us a fresh cheese and onion sandwich, which was delicious, and served with a lovely cup of tea. Thank you
P. W.
Had large breakfast cooked to perfection everything hot only £7 50 well worth it only about 5 minute wait aswell
a. r.
Nor a bad stop .
But meals have got expensive
m. p.
Food cooked to order, mixed grill £9.50. we had steak pie chips peas gravy with a mug of tea £6.75 very good value.
Highly recommend it.
P. D.
Offers a choice of SNAP or cash for parking, with a free cuppa thrown in. Clean toilets and free showers. Which are open all evening. Free WiFi if required and warm friendly staff.
There's a wide variety of evening meal choices catering for most needs and within budget of us truckers. ☺
S. R.
Very convenient, efficient cafe
/ diner just off the A1 north of Peterborough. Meals, sandwiches, snacks etc at reasonable prices. Good, clean facilities and friendly staff. Offers an alternative to standard roadside food chains.
P. B.
Running short of time so decided to stop here. Haven't stopped here for ages and was disappointed. Went in to pay for parking and was greeted with a fog of cooking fat I don't think the extractor fan was working. Went in for a shower which all I can say was poor. Drain blocked and nowhere to keep your clothes dry and safe. I will stop here again just to see if there has been any improvement.
J. C.
None of your modern motorway service station hassle here....good old fashioned cafe style restaurant that serves the basics really well. Food is cooked fresh to order and you can mix and match from the menu. Great location for truckers with decent parking area for cars as well. Right next to Nene valley railway but great for meetups of visiting Anglers heading to the river Nene. Prices were very good for the breakfasts.
J. C.
Stopped off here to meet me daughter and son in law and had an hour talking over a cuppa a nd scone. Got some nice meals on the tables and not expensive.
J. C.
Visited for a bathroom service stop. Toilet facilities was clean and roll available. I did not order any food but the whole place felt like a 90s time capsule.
M. K.
Good food, not a massive choice but cooked well, good portions but I do wish Truckers rest stops gave a drink included in the meal and free refills on tea / Coffee..... c'mon for £18, we dont even get soap in the toilets.
T. C.
Hidden behind the corner. I was looking for a service station to fill up my screenwash. Its not the best service station, as it lacks the services like screenwash and fuel and the rest.
But its a great stop for a rest and coffee and toilet when you are really pressed.
I managed to get a refill and proceeded along.
Ideal for truckers and tour coach stops.
The coffee wasn't too bad either.
K. C.
It's a truck stop and diner. Covid lockdown rules meant it was quiet and takeaway only. Service was personal and quick and they have a broad menu.
K. B.
Good food, quiet Lorry Park, and lovely walks along The Nene River and Nene Valley Railway tracks.
I look forward to my next visit
R. E.
We changed the Sat Nav to include this truck stop on our journey. So much better than the average services. Huge menu choice and cooked to order...worth a try......R.
D. L.
On way to London and needed toilet break so just by chance we ended up here. Needed hand wash in ladies and men's , no paper towels to dry hands on and hand drier wasn't working .
Food and cuppa was ok.
m. w.
Just used the toilets and there is cobwebs and dust everywhere which is because of the lorry park next to it but it looked like it hadn't been cleaned for a few days unfortunately
J. G.
This great little café was our stop on the way to a nature reserve. They fed and watered us ( there was 30 of us) in no time at all. A good breakfast stop
A. R.
Brilliant place. Food great. Toilets clean. Basic set up but what more do you want in a truckstop. I use it on a regular basis & wouldn't go anywhere else on the A1.
J. T.
No special treatment here. Take it or leave it. "142, liver and bacon, chips and beans going cold" the chef shouted at the lorry driver who wasn't listening for his number.
The yard is like the moon and any pot hole could quite easily swallow a tractor unit.
Regarding the food, a colleague swears by it although I am usually not very well the next day.
Went recently and wasn't very well by the time I got back to my lorry!
R. W.
Good food showers & toilets need updating or something put on the floor to get you up out of the water as the drains are too slow at draining . £18 to park only £3 of which is food voucher would be better if it was £5 but staff are friendly & helpful .
S. B.
Good food ..clean facilities.. friendly staff ,, whats not to like
C. E.
Plenty of parking friendly staff. Food good value. Parking chap very helpful and friendly. The only gripe are the showers no where to put your clothes in cubicle must leave outside so you have to keep door ajar
M. J.
Great trucker halt. Large selection of wholesome filling food. Reasonable prices. Tv in the back room. Plenty of tables. Food was well cooked and there was plenty of it. Recommended for truckers or families on a budget.
l.
Good stop for z coffee or tea when travelling. Food looked good and generously portioned.
T. B.
Been here quite a few times. Always pop in when going south on A1. Prices have gone up but its still a good place to rest and food is always good.
T. F.
Good food , good amenities, good weather.
S. H.
All day breakfast, didn't like the sausage, too peppery, didn't like the fried bread or hash brown. Bacon and egg was nice. Coffee was too strong. Won't be going back.
V. P.
Best bacon and egg sandwich I've had in years. Warm reception. Great value. Delightful.
R. B.
While the place and the guy that took the order looks like they could do with a bit of TLC, there was none of that horrible branding stuff, just proper food at reasonable prices... we'll be stopping in again on our way back South :)
J. T.
Good food (and excellent cooking) with friendly service. A menu with wide choice and good value (e.g. steak, egg, peas/beans, chips, bread & butter, mug of filter coffee/tea: £9).
J. D.
Only had a cup of tea there food expensive for my taste!
O. O.
Food ok and reasonably priced with a voucher otherwise it's overpriced. Toilet was closed due to refurbishment which wasn't a problem so I had to use the ladies toilet but the soap despencer was empty de
V. W.
The staff are really friendly and helpful. The food is good and cooked to order so expect a wait when it's busy. It's a proper truckers cafe so don't expect anything else.
M. B.
Friendly staff, clean surroundings, good portion sizes for hungry peeps. If you prefer fancy nosh then go somewhere else - this is classic British fry up.
G. T.
Very good service frendley staff and best food for miles 👌
G. S. (.
The only reason I’m giving this place a 4 star is because toilets & showers are a bit grubby.Other than that it’s a great place to park & the food is great,I can highly recommend the fried liver & onions, chips peas & gravy.I get it every time I’m there.
J. A.
For reasonably priced basic food this is the place. Every version of the British breakfast is available. A much better stop on the A1 than the usual motorway offering
G. J.
A good and friendly old style truck stop with easy access to the A1.
N. M.
Great food and service with a smile. Had a very very large cottage pie which beat me in the end - it was delicious. Easy access from the A1 too.
S.
Bit of a creepy place TBH - not too sure if it’s a real stop or just somewhere from a creepy movie.
Either way has the basics!
B. T. B.
Best liver and onions I ever had...shame I had to wait 35 minutes of my 45 break, to get it...I'll try and allow more time next time
s. s.
Good food
M. Q.
Family run business, liked the atmosphere & definitely tea.
Many thanks
P. N.
Friendly staff apart from tim he is grumpy cant cook and gets orders wrong. Luke cooks a awesome breakfast as does racheal and Ray dawn is always polite and chatty on the till. The only bad experiences at stibbington diner is when tim is there till or cooking he is grumpy and the least polite person I have ever met in the catering industry
T. F.
Good food. Good prices. Friendly and efficient staff. Just what you want for a no frills, home cooked type meal.
E. B.
I mean it depends what you want. It looked like a creditable greasy spoon, fry up cafe, with it's Sunday morning queue to boot. What it was not, was what I wanted, which was services where I could both urinate and then go to buy a sandwich, or a bag of crisps for long-drawn-out munch-driving to stave off the potentially lethal boredom which had inexplicably ramped up in the Peterborough area (no offence).
C. L.
Proper old style transport cafe food freshly cooked and plentiful can't fault it
w. g.
Definitely this place need to get refresh. Food is ok but everything else is dirty and looks like beginning of '80. Parking surface is nightmare.
D. M.
Old school cafe
Great to see
D. D.
Truckstop diner. Gravel carpark. Basic coffee. Lovely bacon sarnie on sliced white.
c. “.
Everything you would ever want from a typical British transport cafe.keep up the good work.
N. D.
Proper old school transport cafe on the A1. £1.50 for a cup of coffee, can't argue with that compared to a service station. Facilities are basic but spotlessly clean.
S. G.
The yards a little on the pothole side but with the amount of traffic that goes over the car park it's just the norm as for the food I've never had a bad meal yet and you will see most of the plates empty after wards showers r ok toilets r clean so I would give it a 8 out of ten
P. Q.
A proper old-skool greasy spoon motorway diner. If you took away the flat screen TV you'd think you were in the 1970s! Serves every traditional working class English meal imaginable plus desserts from the 1950s but mainly specialises in heart-busting fry-ups and mixed grills with cheap sausages and flabby bacon. Full of fat old people during the day and fat, tired-looking truckers in the evening. Peaceful, friendly atmos and clean, if unglamorous. I feel very much at home there and somehow find myself there frequently.
S. B.
The place to go for good home cooked food. Reasonable prices and good portions. I have never had a bad meal there.
E. B.
Very convenient for you toilet and a meal just before M way reasonably priced not like rip off M way stops. You can stay over take a shower reasonably priced.
M. D.
Lovely cafe we stopped at on the way to London
The lady who served us was very friendly
The cafe was very clean and the toilets are the best I have seen in a motor way services
Prices were very good and all food cooked to order
R. C.
Expensive unless on snap !
Showers disgusting.
Parking muddy if wet.
Strange how this place does a roaring trade nearly always full but don't seem to put any money into its upkeep .
C. B.
What a gem this is, especially when you're on a long journey. No frills...just good english food and a banging MUG of tea. Brilliant and great value for money.
d. s.

I've been going there, in different incarnations, the cafe, not me, for over 30 years. Like every other place it ebbs and flows, but I still love it. It is real and isn't part of a soulless chain.
R. H.
Possible because of lock down menu was a bit limited like most lorry parks like driving on the moon but l would go back
H. T.
Proper transport cafe with good variety of freshly made food and reasonable prices - friendly staff too
B. F.
Probably the best full English breakfast in the country, fresh produce every time you visit, spotlessly clean and very friendly, never been disappointed yet.
D. E.
Thus once excellent cafe seems to get worse everytime I go there...
....money hungry owners charging way over the top prices for increasingly poor grub.
Quite sad really.
J. S.
Freshly cooked food, excellent quality, fast service
M. C.
Use this place regularly. Friendly staff, decent food at reasonable prices. showers could be better but overall a quiet safe place to stay.

very large lorry park, and you can
