Just caught them before closing time, and I was really impressed. The food was freshly cooked with care, as well as extra options being made available to me and my friend. As we ate the friendly staff closed up and cleaned down, it was kind that they didn't rush us.

The food is delicious and I have never had a problem even though today there was a mix up with some food I ordered which was my fault really, as I did not explain exactly what I wanted, I did notice they resolved it in a very professional way and I thought it was worth mentioning in a review. I wanted to send some positivity their way.

Went early morning for breakfast food was good. However table could have done with a wipe over beans on table from previous customer and the table was sticky.

I am down in Plymouth for some considerable time carrying out a project. I had been looking for a nice venue to have breakfast and tried several. I then found Jakes, to be greeted by a very pleasent and attractive manageress. I found the English breakfast to be presented well, the portions good but most importantly priced reasonably. The Staff dispite being young are always nice and nothing is too much trouble. I will always seek out Jakes for Breakfast.

I had the full breakfast 🤔 , the fried egg was cooked perfectly , the bottom of the 🍅 was burnt and tasted bitter , the bacon was dry and barely warn and my toast was barely toasted and was cold , the sausages had a unusual Herbie taste and deep fried ,the mushroom were just greasy and tasted awful and to top it off my tea was strong and Milky and barely warm , I couldn't even finish eating it .

The staff is friendly, I had the eggs Benedict it was nice and tasty but the salad could be a bit more fresher with a bit more salad added to it, The floors and walls could be cleaner, I wasn't too pleased on that they allow customers with dogs inside when they have a perfectly good outdoor seating area this is very unhygienic not good for business that customers are eating their food and not very hygienic that customers have to walk through the kitchen area to use their toilet.

Such amazing food with an massive all day breakfast with unbeatable value. The staff are always so lovely, even to us fussy types who make changes and add extras, even asking for the tea bag to stay in, but everyone is lovely, the food is perfect and it’s always a great place for a social brunch!

Easy to get to. Pay to display street parking. Lovely atmosphere and lovely food. Seating inside and out. Staff are friendly and very pleasant. Didnt use the bathroom myself, so not able to comment whether its easy access for the disabled. A really enjoyable visit.

My mum and I visit once a week , we love it there. The chef is young and is brilliant. I watch how he copes when it’s busy and he doesn’t stress. A lot to do for one person. Me being a chef myself I become picky where I eat. But jakes has my thumbs up .. well done chef!!!

A great little cafe; a step up from your average greasy spoon but by no means a "proper" restaurant. Food is generally fairly priced and good quality with a nice range of different meals. Staff are friendly and helpful, just a bit of a wait during busy times - a victim of their own popularity!
