S. J.Popular cafe..nice and warm on a wet windy day. Perhaps I went at a busy time..it was pretty full..and there was a pair of dogs yapping at each other that got a bit annoying at close quarters. Not much the cafe can do about that I guess..especially in the winter. Food good..big portions.
M. T.Enjoyed a splendid full English Breakfast. Served by friendly attentive staff. The Mess Room has been, locally, a well kept secret. But word has got out! As such it can get very very busy especially at weekends. Recommend you try and get there early if you are hunting down 'brekky'

c. j.Our friends took us for breakfast, we were ready after our walk from nearby. The Mess Room has a large carpark with outside portacabin toilets men/ladies which are situated in the boatyard /dry dockyard. Code is given in the Mess Room to access the toilets . The food waslovely and plentiful washed down with a large cup of coffee. There is a specials board as well as the menu, all prices are affordable with pleasant staff serving.

A. N.The Mess Room. A lovely little restaurant inside a boatyard. They supply quite a range of great food and drink. Quite a quwerky place with a maritime theme as it is near the sea.
Very helpful staff and reasonable prices 👍.
K. D.We parked for free near the entrance to this marina and easily found the cafe which sports a raised balcony which overlooks the estuary and provides engaging views. Service excellent, food well above average. Good prices. Stairs up to balcony could be a challenge to the frail.

Good choice of breakfasts served until 2pm, lunches, hot and cold drinks and homemade cakes. Free parking right outside. Only downside is the toilet is on the other side of the carpark.

P. W.First time eating here. My mum and i went here, It was lovely. Will definitely be going back. I had Jacket potato, cheese and beans and a cold drink my mum had a bacon and egg sandwich and a latte. We both really enjoyed what we had and it cost under £12. I think that's very good these days .
L. D.This is the second time I have been to the Mess Room, once for a lovely breakfast and this time for lunch. I had a ham, cheese and onion marmalade toastie...very tasty. It's very relaxing there, good service, food cooked freshly. Lovely choice of cakes too. I will be going again....tip, ask for the code to use the WC facilities that are separate.

Given that it isn't the cheapest of places, it would be nice to have the prices!

P. H. P.Tucked away amidst the hustle and bustle of Yacht Haven Quay is this delightful little cafe/snack bar. Word of mouth led us here, and I'm happy to pass on this recommendation! Very handy if you need to collect a parcel from the Post Office depot just back up the road. Light and airy, nicely furnished and with good food and friendly staff, it made a nice break.
