After reading loads of really positive reviews, I decided to go for lunch for the first time at BonsBons. All of the reviews I have read are totally true. Wonderful attentive service, great food which arrived promptly and was really hot. We chose the jacket potato and a sandwich with homemade soup. Both were delicious. There's also a wonderful atmosphere in the main area. Highly recommended

Proper quality 👌went for brunch yesterday and was pleasantly surprised. I had a bacon and egg toasti. Very nice and plenty to eat although they don't give it away as they are a business after all. But it's like the adage goes, you get what you pay for. Well worth the visit and shall return. Thank you Bon Bons 👍

I booked the afternoon tea here to celebrate my Mum's birthday with my Grandma too. We all absolutely loved it! Clearly lots of thought and passion goes into the food and the service, lots of attention to detail. All staff take the time to make everyone feel welcome and they are smartly dressed too. I'll certainly be back - well, that is once I've finished all these leftovers I brought home in a box 😍

O.M.G. ... the 40 minute drive to get to this gem of a place, was soooo worth it!! ... I have just eaten THE BEST eggs benedict ever!! Perfectly poached eggs, fresh spinach leaves, crispy bacon, and a deliciously creamy hollandaise, served on a fresh, lightly toasted ciabatta! Absolutely scrumptious. 😍 The service is also second to none - Friendly, warm, and welcoming! .... I'm already planning my next road trip, to sample their lunch menu, and their indulgent array of homebaked cakes.

Lovely place,very relaxing. Staff are very good.Husband and wife team that own and run it,are exceptionally pleasant and friendly. Wonderful outside area with heaters if needed,set in a beautiful garden. A perfect place for a snack and chat. (Don't need the plastic flowers.These distract from the beauty and naturalness of the setting.)

First time visiting here popped in for a light bite and a catch up with a friend. Would recommend booking a table in advance as we were lucky to get seated. Very popular place and from the looks of the food that was coming out I can understand why it all looked amazing. We plumped for some waffle action .. my friend had the plain Jane which was two Belgian waffles with maple syrup ice-cream and cream. I had the fudge brownie waffles which was two Belgian waffles with cubes of brownie scattered over it witch chocolate sauce cream and ice cream. They were delicious, so tasty I forgot to take pictures. Looking forward to going back to sample the panini's or the jacket potatoes.

Friendly cafe in the heart of Penwortham. Very dog friendly - a free treat and water bowl. Good Covid precautions and it's lovely to sit outside amongst the foliage. Coffee was better than Costa's. Hard to beat and will return.

Our first time there, very welcoming with a comfortable atmosphere. Very popular, it was fairly busy at 2pm and they we're taking phone bookings whilst we were there. Good choice of coffee and an excellent choice of cakes. Food and alcohol also available, but we didn't try on this occasion. Good outdoor seating available and we'll definitely be returning soon.

Stopped here on Saturday for a coffee with my mum. Never been in before and have to say the place is lovely. We decided to have lunch too so ordered coffees & 2 ciabatta sandwiches, one goats cheese and 1 steak and red onion chutney with brie. Coffee arrived and was really good, however both ciabattas arrived absolutely steaming, like they had been in the microwave to melt the cheese, to the point where we had to let take the top buns off to let them cool down and the spinach in mine was too hot to touch. Once cooled off, mine was tasty, if a bit soggy which I ate, but my mums ciabatta basically turned into mush when she tried to eat it and so most of it got left on the plate. Maybe we chose the wrong thing but we both left a little bit disappointed given how nice the place was. Would maybe try again for coffee and cake but probably try elsewhere for food

Wow! How lovely and friendly is this place! Met at the door by Sylvia and taken to our pre booked table. Great cafe menu with all the usual cafe meals and drinks, plus a few surprises - the specials Turkey and Bacon with Cranberry was delicious and very plentiful. Hubby thoroughly enjoyed his full English with extra doorstep toast! Drinks and food served really quickly and beautifully presented. Lots of attention to detail - like giving you the coffee cup with the handle towards you. Excellent staff - smart and smiling. The coffee was really good and the food was too. Popped in for coffee and cake today wasn't very impressed staff very slow and haphazard. Place my order sat down and waited, the table hadn't been cleared from last customer fair enough. However, the waitress brought our cakes over to the table and was placing the dirty coffee cups on the tray with our cakes on. I took the cakes off her and held them in our hands and had to tell her to clean the table before she did anything else..What is the world coming to if one doesn't know and understand how to do a very simple job it really makes one wonder how these peope were brought up. Bad management if one can't serve tea n cake on a clean tabel
