Enjoyed our visit, as we were looking for somewhere we had never been. Only had a light lunch, but that's all we were looking for. Will go again as everything was generally good, homely and friendly.

A nice and friendly place to drop into during a ride. Refule, chat and enjoy.
Returned now that the Covid restrictions have been removed and Roots is back to the great little hub it has always been. Make sure it is on your route.

Used as a halfway house on a bike ride out from Leigh, Lancashire. Covid safe, quick service and a great outdoor area that was full when we left. Recommended

This place is hidden away next to the canal and used by cyclist everyday. The food is all fresh local and tastes great 👌 well worth a visit if you're passing. Just off Bridge 30 if you're on the towpath go over the bridge and follow the road up and round the bend. You will see the barn just ahead and a friendly face to serve you.. A most enjoyable meal Top marks

Never judge a book by its cover. Not the best looking building but a brilliant cafe. The full bike racks are clue that it does great food and brews. Had 2 adult meals, kids meal and 3 hot drinks for £20. Really good quality food friendly efficient staff. I will be back.

Would definitely recommend this Cafe! It's got a lovely atmosphere to it. The staff are friendly. The food was absolutely gorgeous and I cannot fault it at all - reasonably priced & decent potion sizes. They have a lot to offer on the menu and good choices for children. Will definitely be returning

Great friendly service. Good menu of sensible food- breakfast, sandwiches, salad, omelettes and beans/eggs on toast. Good value. Drinks great as well. Child friendly and definitely cyclist friendly but also great for walkers and motorists. Call in frequently for coffee and regularly for lunch. Definitely recommended as a place to visit.

A real little hidden gem! After a nice ride out we discovered this little place tucked behind a sewing n craft shop n couldn't have been happier the service was second to none the three girls and young fella in the kitchen couldn't do enough for us. I had a panini my wife had a sausage n egg barm both meals where actually to die for. A beautifully presented place with polite staff good food and a pleasure for the avid cyclist
