We had a lovely evening here... On first sight as you walk through the arch you are greeted with bright colourful chairs in an outdoor courtyard. Once inside it has a lovely atmosphere with the restaurant kind of split in two. The menu is fab a mix of the Med, Italian, Spanish and Greek so definitely something for everyone. I had the paella and my other half had the souvlaki, both dishes were very tasty and served beautifully Staff are great as well really attentive, we had a lovely experience here and would definitely come back x

Visited here yesterday (Saturday) for lunch with my son. Nice surroundings, amazing what they’ve done to make a small courtyard feel very welcoming and pleasant. We both ordered the mussels as a main, with chips and salad, and a focaccia bread between us. Waitress didn’t seem to understand my pronunciation of “Moules Mariniere” or wasn’t familiar with the menu, but we got the right items ordered eventually. Food service was quick and the food was hot and looked nice. Mussels tasted a bit bland had thickly sliced onions in the sauce which were undercooked but still edible. Think these should have been much finer diced and fried off more so they melted into the sauce (like the French do it). The chips were hot and fresh and the salad was nicely dressed. The focaccia tasted nice but was a thin flatbread about 1/2 cm thick, not a fluffy doughy bread like it should be. Overall, we finished our plates, so not a bad meal but not the best. Prices were quite reasonable, £40 for two lunches including drinks. Would go back again but definitely try something else off the menu.

A quaint Londonish hidden gem! With a fab menu and a great outdoor area with fairy lights this place is as romantic as they come. Open until around late morning to 9:30-10pm. Can also sit inside the restaurant on those chillier nights . I really enjoy coming here - a great place to take a date or your best mate.

It was my first time here and I was served by Emily. I wanted a Spanish latte and it wasn’t on the menu but she made the effort and made us the best Spanish latte. The staff is so friendly and I’d highly recommend this to everyone. The ambience is great.

Went for dinner here midweek. Not been here for ages but I'd seen a few other people on social media visit and thought it was worth a try. Food was delicious, cosy restaurant, reasonably priced. Kids options available which was good. It was fairly quiet when we were in there, however we didn't think the staff were particularly attentive. There wasn't really anyone in the restaurant when we went in there but we were seated very very closely next to the only table that had someone on! We moved a couple of tables away so we weren't on top of them though. Will be coming again 😊

Amazing as always... Its my daughters favourite place to go and I can't blame her at all as we've been here a few times now and each time it just gets better. I would highly recommend this place as the staff are excellent and the service is impeccable on every visit.. The menu has alot to offer and what we've tried so far has been amazing. Never had any issues with any of the orders either which is a normal thing for most places these days so its great that they actually listen to the customers.

I have been going to The Café bar for years now with friends and I have always come back for the stellar food and atmosphere. The outdoor seating is cosy and lively whilst the inside is romantic and intimate. The staff are very attentive and lovely without being overbearing. I recommend the zucchini fritters and the vegetable lasagna, it is delicious from the first bite to the very last. Prices are good and I recommend this charming restaurant to everyone!

Cafe Bar is a great little restaurant down a small alleyway. You walk down and it already feels like you're walking down an alleyway in Italy or Seville, it has a great vibe and great and friendly waiters. The food is absolutely spot on and definitely worth giving it a try. The lasagna in here is next level! 10/10

Went on a quiet mid week night. Recommended by a stranger when we had a drink at a pub near our hotel so thought we’d walk over and see. Warm welcome. Looked after perfectly. Food was fresh, delicious, and generous portions. Lots of choice. Plenty of advice on the wine- - a mini tasting to help decisions! Reasonably priced, lovely ambience even though quiet- music, candles, atmospheric lighting and delightful staff. Definitely recommended and we will be returning. Busy at weekends- you’d need to book.

Delicious blue cheese and apple stater. Garlic bread with tomato, mains penne aribiatta and fajita salad with cajun chicken. ALL delicious. The dough for the garlic bread was more sweet than savoury. The cajun chicken is not a whole piece and dry its moist and cut up. The profiteroles are always amazing. Service excellent.

Edit: I love this place, we go all the time (see original review below) but the drinks hare are so expensive. A cider is £5, bottled water is three. The meals are a good price and we'll worth the money, but if you each decide to have a couple of drinks, you're adding £ 20 to the bill straight away. But apart from that, my review still stands. Where to begin... Awesome food in an unassuming little restaurant. But best of all is one of the waiters, he's an older guy, and he makes our night on every single visit without fail. Give it a try!!!

Visited for first time today (Friday 5pm) not too busy. No booking made, was given option to sit inside or out. Food and drinks available. Choice outside under canopy, nice setting and atmosphere. Have been to the cafe bar for fifteen years going on now, it still has a great menu which is very reasonably priced, generally great atmosphere with the outdoor seating area and the darker interior. However the thing that's made me come back and take a star awa is the staff, often felt lacking in the service and at points like the staff have been simply rude. Old review (Always a treat, lovely place set back from the highstreet. You forget you are in England. Very well priced and staff are super friendly.)

The Cafe Bar will forever be one of my favourite places every time I'm back in Preston. The food, the service, the music, the atmosphere... It's like it transports you away from England and straight into Greece. The fact that the outside area is closed off apart from the entry/exit alley helps to take you away on a great adventure filled with laughters, big food portions and wonderful music. I will absolutely keep returning there every time I'm in town, 11/10 would recommend.

We were a family party of 15 - total spend with drinks approx £400. I was disgusted that 1 of our party was charged £2 for 2 small packets of garlic mayo!! No bread on table to accompany starters. Only 1 slice of feta cheese on the baked feta starter for £5.95. Food tasty enough but small details make a difference. Will not revisit.

Cheerful, informal, Mediterranean style restaurant offering Italian and Greek dishes. We had a mezze platter for two and lasagne - both excellent. Service good. This place is just off Fishergate - superb bolthole with a lovely courtyard for sitting out. Well worth a visit.

My wife and I eat here fairly regularly at lunchtime mid-week. We take advantage if the special lunchtime offer. Good choice of pasta/pizza dishes for £6.99, but there is plenty more to choose from on the main menu. The Tapas and Salad dishes certainly look good but we are yet to try them. If the weather is kind it's nice to sit outside in the courtyard and imagine yourself in Sorrento or Milan. All in all we can thoughtfully recommend the Cafe Bar.

This was our first visit to Preston and were recommended this restaurant and must say it was fantastic, the staff were very friendly and the food was delicious, as it was before 5.30pm it was 6.95 for our pizzas Instead of 9.95. We were easily able to book a table for 8 of us even though it was quite busy, food came out quickly and was cooked well. There is no kids menu but did offer a smaller portion of spaghetti but for same price, they also offered us to take away anything left over. I would highly recommend this restaurant and will definitely come back if we visit Preston again.

Yesterday I attended The Cafe Bar on Winckley Street in Preston and it was a most enjoyable experience. The Cafe Bar is adjacent to St Wilfred Roman Catholic church and clergy house in Preston. It is set back in a lovely courtyard which is partly cobbled and decorated with flowers. There are tables in the courtyard if you wish to eat outside. Inside it is nicely decorated and clean and tidy. There are ample tables. The restaurant does Italian and Greek dishes. I had a pint of Budweiser lager which was very nice. The staff are friendly and helpful. There are toilets upstairs which are clean and hygienic. I would recommend a visit to the Cafe Bar on Winckley Street in Preston.

Visited again recently after not having been for a LONNNGGG time and it's even better than a few years ago. Yes the staple pizza and pasta are still there (and on special prices for lunch) but the Greek Tapas and evening menu are fabulous. Whole family had different influenced food and loved it, including the 10 year old with an adults appetite. Very busy for an early Saturday evening (7pm) and staff friendly as ever without being too intrusive.
