Reviews of ABP Town Quay Marina
R. H.
I wasn't at the Marina, I was at Town Quay. The buildings all seem deserted, but I don't come here for that. I like to walk right down to the very end. There are benches there and you can sit and look down the whole length of Southampton Water. Its great to see the ships coming and going. When I last went there the water was like a mill pond and it was a beautiful sunny day.
A. G.
I’m giving it 5 stars because I was on my push bike, so I didn’t have to pay the excessive price to park!
We visited to view the ships passing and those that were moored up. It was a beautiful evening and a perfect place to watch the sunset.
S. J.
Great place to buy a coffee and sit and watch the ships. Cruise liners are often moored right in front of here and you can see almost the whole of the docks complex.
Great place to while away the hours. Tip: Wrap up warm in Winter.
D. H.
So peaceful walking along the harbour and very clean
G. E.
Great staff. Find Solent boat chartering at the marina. New life 2
A. H.
Lovely safe welcoming marina 🤗
Good standard facilities with laundry plus Starbucks on your doorstep & coop a short walk away.
Great selection of restaurants/bars in walking distance and even an
IMAX cinema! Friendly helpful staff I office 😎⛵❤
B. B.
Very nice marina with friendly staff, easy access and good on shore facilities. Well maintained and clean pontoons. Lots of information about weather updates, and very fast WiFi.
S. U.
Good vantage point if you want to get up close to passing ships, particularly the cruise liners when they moor beyond Mayflower Park.
J. M.
Not been here for a while. Always good to visit
M. P.
One of my favourite places to watch the world go by over the water. Minus a couple of stars because of the high parking cost, and the fact your can't park there until 1930hrs on a weekday.
V. A.
a nice place to enjoy a breath of fresh air in the middle of the city
D. T.
Hopped onto the little ferry across to Hythe-which was so cute! Was really well signposted so easily found way, was a surprise especially as I'd not been here since I was a child. The staff were friendly too.
J. S.
Pretty well organised setup for joining my cruise ship, although Covid has made things a bit longer check-in wise.
M. G.
Well equipped marina, had a great stay again.
D. O.
Bueno. Grand but no toilet facilities in sight.
P. M.
Have my boat here. Staff are friendly, prices relatively reasonable and if you're based in Southampton it doesn't get any more convenient for the city centre.
C. W.
Champagne soul riverboat shuffle. loved it
E. T.
Pretty congested, the area hasn't expanded with the ever growing population and/or travellers, holiday makers and day trippers. Parking a nightmare
D.
I have lived in Southampton all of my life and this is a very relaxing place to come to, especially in the evening just to see the water which we are lucky to have close by. People are fishing close by and you can see all across the pier and the various ships leaving and coming into the docks. Must see if you are in Southampton!!
R. H.
Friendly staff. Great to pop into town for a few hours. We have been there many times and staff was always friendly. Never stayed overnight. Facilities seems par with everything around here. We enjoy going there for a quickie into town.
M. S.
Only used the Red Funnel facility and that was clean and tidy, apart from the toilets! They had very wet floors but were other wise tidy. Restaurant was clean and the staff were polite and friendly.

Great place to moor your boat, really helpful and friendly staff, great facilities and WiFi too.

That's it. Jenny.
P. P.
Take care if you drive onto the pier. Auto photo recording of vehicles takes place for parking charge purposes.
P. R.
Good facilities. Friendly staff. Very near shops and restaurants. Easy access from sea.
R. M.
Nice place to stop and think for a bit and watch the boats go by
L.
A beautiful place

Nice and quiet mostly, near the red jet terminal so some movement at times. Facilities good. Handy for Southampton old town.
O. S.
Nice place to watch ships parking a bit expensive though do park in West quay or side street.
R. K.

G. M.

Large port with good facilities and friendly staff. Wonderful view of all the boats, super large cruise liners and container ships. Near to town, Starbucks and some shops.
a. c.
Lovely day for a browse along the quayside, taking in the view, mostly docked cruise ships

This is one of my favourite places to take walk and watch the boats and cruise liners arrive.

Nice place to sit and relax watching the world go by
S. H.
good location to see the cruise ships when they are in and parking at the top of the quay would be better if there was a bar of some sort on the quay however Starbucks and a cafe is there too!
C. T.
Lovely Marina, fantastic facilities and wonderful staff :-) a shining light in Southampton!
K. N.
dont have much experience as this is first marina we have stayed but I was very happy with the facilities :) will come back for sure
P. B.

G. B.

H. W.
Clean, very secure, helpful staff
A. B.
If u like the sea then u would love this
M. B.
Nice place to visit for a little wander around and not too far from the main shopping centre. Parking charges on a par with the multi-story in the centre of town so would be better there if shopping is you main reason to park. My visit was to charge my car at the EVCharge point which also charged an hourly rate making it very expensive in comparison to other cities. It would be cheaper for me to visit Bournemouth or Portsmouth and charge there including the extra round trip distance than to use Southampton for shopping!
M. B.
Good place to board cruise ships and well organised
M. N.
Enjoyed the view with places to sit.
W. S.
Keep your parking ticket for proof that U paid for car park.
P. H.
Good facilities... Friendly staff
R. S.
Nice showers and very calm mooring
F. A.
Lovely marina. So peaceful
K. D.
By far the nicer of the marinas in central southampton, Ocean village is ok but is overlooked by bars and as such very drunk people. town quay on the other hand is completely private and separated from the general public, despite what the pilot book might tell you they do now accept visitors, just moor against the floating wall on your left as you enter, bows in, port side to. there is little maneuvering space inside the marina so be prepared for some boat handling practice! they do not always answer the VHF and leave early so be sure to call ahead in the day to get the codes for the doors and facilities.
Would definitely recommend. the only real downside is the RedJet next door.
B. G.
More sheltered seating needed
K. B.

Great friendly marina with good access to the town. Parking often busy. No fuel available for boats but great showers and unmetered electricity. New berth holders lounge with microwave, TV and free hot drinks is also very welcome.
Mooring fees listed as £590 per metre per year is quite reasonable compared to other local marinas.
