Nero coffee is always good so it's nice to see this place was no exception. The staff are very friendly and made my drink quickly and well (sometimes people rush it). Would definitely recommend as a good place to get coffee in the city center.

My wife & I arrived with 4 suitcases and needed a place to wait for the Mall to open. Entered Caffe Nero for coffee. Coffee was delicious, so we each had a second cup. The baristas were very kind to let us wait in their shop. If you frequent that area, stop in to enjoy excellent coffee and danishes.

Time to kill, popped in for a coffee, didn't need to ask what I would like, was offered my coffee of choice which is no longer advertised (the Caramelatte came of the menu last year), turns out I was served by the manager who rembered my preference from 2 years previous when I used to use the Winchester branch where he used to work. Service above and beyond and the coffee was excellent as well.

According to the ethicalconsumer.org reviews, Caffe Nero scores highest out of all the surrounding chain coffee shops in the area for ethical buying & selling. They have a single-origin coffee option, which means fewer food miles too, which is something I look for in coffee shops. They have, like most other shops, rewards for bringing your own cup but Caffe Nero's reward is the most generous with two stamps for every coffee you take away in your own mug. Result. Then environmental and ethical stuff aside, their coffee is just plain great and there are a lot of options to add on/in to indulge a bit more. Their caramel croissant/doughnut is an absolute treat. A once in a few months type treat because it's absolutely loaded with sugar but delicious. Generally, they have a good selection of snacks and foods but I do think they can increase their gluten-free ranges a bit more. Their service always puts a smile on my face and it feels like the baristas enjoy what they are doing. The majority of the employee reviews online mention a great culture and team; that shows in the service they deliver. Very happy with Caffe Nero as a choice of big chain coffee shops.

Prominent among the mainstream coffee shops pervading the market that I feel compelled to consult on a frequent basis is none other than Caffe Nero, and one that suffice it to say in manifold regards unequivocally constitutes my favourite. This particular branch that is geographically straddled upon the epicentre of Above Bar in Southampton embodies all the distinctive attributes that afford the brand it's distinguished reputation. Upon entering the premises, one is swiftly greeted by the radiantly colourful, yet subtle fusion of objects that comprise it's ambience, be they diverse objects of furniture that are designated for dine in customers (autonomous of the restrictions affiliated with the ensuing pandemic and in more normal circumstances), to the charming combination of colours adorning their walls. Such warm pleasantries are further substantially augmented by the consistently friendly and embracive customer service that one encounters on virtually every occasion. Such a degree of service is permeated by a display of passion, commitment and due regard for attention. Galvanise the aforementioned with the exceptional standard of coffee that they persistently churn out, and you have a coffee shop establishment that could hypothetically entice the most arduously pleasing of tastes. Be they your standard filter or Americano, to the more adventurous and sophisticated lattes and mochas, every single coffee item that their menu consists of is both meticulously and diligently crafted. In absence of a shadow of a doubt, the quality and taste of their coffees is both unique and unsurpassed in stature. On a concluding note, I feel inclined to extend my commendations to Chris (the store manager), Anna, Nikki, Frankie and all the other members of staff who owing to their persistent efforts have rendered this coffee shop as being the highly appealing establishment that it is, in addition to maintaining the very high standards that is it's primary hallmark. Thus, a profoundly sincere invitation extends to all the coffee lovers among us (accounting for a discerning aspect of the city's populace) to avidly embrace them, as rest assured that there will be no disappointment. Highly recommended!!!!

Unlike Starbucks across the street Nero has designed the shop with sturdy rugged tables and a huge bench for setting up laptops and actually doing some serious work when you need a different environment to study or work on the go excellent staff and a solid WiFi and of course good coffee.

The pricing is very fair for the drinks. My cup off tea was in a large mug for £2.10. The setting is very comfortable, it wasn't very busy but I guess it depends on the time off day when you go. The staff are polite when taking your order.

So glad Nero's has finally come to Southampton. They make the nicest coffees and their hot chocolate is vegan friendly. The place can be a bit loud when it's full and some of the seats have lights directed straight at them but if you sit in the right place it's fine. It's not generally so full that the noise is a problem, maybe just on weekend lunch times. They have a great selection of food, cakes, biscuits and pastries. I go here all the time.

Great coffee, everything well stocked and clean! Staff slow, don’t interact well with customers... just ask what you require..... the rest of the time had to listen to the day to day life of a student and all the things that they get up to!!! Omg just witnessed one member of staff ask a customer to turn the volume down on his phone ( it’s not that loud!) yet we are having to listen to them droning on about nothing important!! Not the friendliest of staff!

I much prefer Nero's to any of the other chain coffee shops. The Southampton branch has good quality barristas, a softly lit and warm feeling interior with different seating options (arm chairs/work tables/etc)

One of the best places to go for a nice cold classic Frappe. The only problem i have with Caffe Nero is that once they pour the Frappe into the glass they throw away what is left in the blending jug, correct me if i am wrong but if you paid for it then it is yours and not theirs to throw away. I can understand if its a take away but not drink in, they can put the remainder innthe original plastic cup it comes in.
